I think that 99% of the evidence for the prosecution will be based on the testimony of the child and the testimony of the partner.

There was also a moment when the girl came with bruises on her thighs and buttocks. My client explains that her parents live in the countryside, that she went to the bathhouse with the girl, soaped her, and she slipped off the shelves. And the parents saw it and confirmed it.

In total, the investigator asked her about four episodes. And here is the fourth most absurd, in my opinion. Here the girl sits and solves some problems, reads a book, and she has such a peculiarity of character - if she does not know how to say, apparently due to her illness, then she will bury herself, sit and be silent. My client asks her: “So C… what is written “a” or “b”? And she is silent. And that her - you also can’t completely whitewash her, but all this is vital, we were also brought up, she began to persuade her to read a book, and it became painful for her. And this is violence.

In general, one fact does not form a corpus delicti today. Until March 2017, it would have been a crime, but then beatings in the family were decriminalized. Now it is possible to attract criminal charges for beatings when they are committed out of racist or hooligan motives, and the rest is administrative.

My client has documents showing that the guardianship authorities regularly checked the family. The client wrote reports, they were checked, and how - this is already a question for guardianship. Their actions, as the investigators said, will be given a criminal-legal assessment. But this does not concern us anymore.

Has any measure of restraint been chosen against your client?
Initially, there was an obligation to appear, now there is a written undertaking not to leave. The investigator is sure that the case will be completed in three months - by September 23 (it was initiated on June 23). But, I think it will not work, because. the psychological and pedagogical examination of the child is scheduled only for mid-September, and they simply will not have time to complete it.

Why was the appointment so late?
We will also raise this question. When the client came to me, there was not even a criminal case yet. It was at the end of May. She came to me because her child was seized and custody was terminated. She wanted to dispute it. I understand that the fight against crime is against minors, but this is when they are beaten, raped, killed. And we got into this direction. My client was a victim of all these circumstances. All this juvenile justice… But imagine, she has been raising her since 2011. She was a year old when she took it. She went to doctors, to specialized kindergartens, food - as a result, the girl came into a divine form, she called her mother.
