Children's birthday table. Menu for a child's birthday (recipes with photos)

The choice of products for a children's birthday menu is very different from those that parents buy for adult parties. The children's menu should, first of all, be light, and the presentation should be original and interesting.

The best thing you can do when preparing a menu for a children's birthday is to involve your child in the cooking process.

Start with the dishes that the birthday person offers, then make your own suggestions.

When choosing recipes, think about how your baby can help you prepare them, and that the dish consists of simple and familiar ingredients.

Rules for choosing dishes

  • Don't mix too many different flavors.
  • Avoid spicy, salty, fried and overly sweet foods.
  • Do not serve fish with bones, peeled fruits, as well as berries and grapes at the holiday table - exclude anything that could cause a child to choke.

For the little ones

The most demanding guests and birthday parties are children under 3 years old. There are many factors to keep in mind when preparing treats for these little ones. The most important thing is to remember that all children are different and if your baby is omnivorous and can do everything, this does not mean that his guests can also eat absolutely everything.

Familiar and simple foods can be served in beautiful holiday decorations.

General rules:

  • All ingredients should be familiar to children.
  • Kids should also know the names of the dishes on the table.
  • Methods for eating most foods are best limited to the spoon.
  • It's great if you can eat with your hands.

Birthday is everyone’s favorite holiday, especially children. On this day I want all my dreams to come true. But besides this, I also want a holiday that can be remembered throughout the next year. Choosing a suitable menu for a children's birthday is not a difficult task, but you need to take into account some nuances.

The children's birthday menu will be different, depending on the age of the child, but there are still basic principles for choosing dishes and preparing them.

Basic criteria for choosing children's dishes:

Also, when choosing dishes, you need to pay attention to the caloric content norm for a particular age and not violate it.

Daily calorie intake for children:

How to choose dishes for children from 2 to 5 years old

Children prefer original presentation and attractive appearance of food. When choosing a menu, you need to concentrate not on the quantity of dishes, but on their quality. At this age, the child’s stomach is still weak, low-quality products can lead to problems.

A children's birthday menu should include simple, healthy and uncomplicated dishes in an original design, especially if it concerns children under 5 years of age.
  • Prepare light meals that are easy for a child’s stomach to digest (soup or broth).
  • For the main course, it is preferable to take veal, turkey or chicken.
  • Exclude fish and seafood. Allergies are common in young children. Also, a child can choke on even a small fish bone.
  • There is no need to choose complex dishes; it is better to cook from products familiar to children.
  • You shouldn't put a lot of dishes on the table. A couple of salads, two appetizers, a main course and dessert - no more is needed, since children at an early age do not eat much.
  • For dessert, you should choose low-fat dishes with sour cream or yogurt cream.
  • Homemade fruit drinks are preferred as a drink.

Menu option:

  • Chicken bouillon.
  • Puree on the side.
  • Chicken kebabs with vegetables on skewers.
  • Fruit salad dressed with yogurt.

However, children are still children; they still want original and memorable dishes. You can choose any dishes, but you need to decorate them in an interesting way. To add a festive accent, you can hide a note or card in the main dish (cake), following which the child will find the gift.

  • Meat rolls.
  • Chicken fillet in cheese.

Menu for the birthday of a boy and a girl

There is no need to put fundamentally different dishes on the table for girls and boys. At an early age, children of both sexes eat approximately the same, so there will be no difference in the preparation of dishes. As the child grows, his body actively develops, which means he needs more nutrients.

Teenage boys eat more than girls because their bodies need more energy. However, this does not mean that there is a big difference in the dishes that should be placed on the festive table.

On the boys' holiday table, you need to put hearty meat dishes that contain a lot of calories and give energy to the growing body. Also, the boy’s table should include a larger volume of dishes. For girls, light meals and snacks are more suitable, but there should be enough of them, because a girl’s body, like a boy’s, needs energy.

The children's menu for the birthday of young boys and girls does not differ in preparation, but may differ in the design of the food. Girls will willingly eat a dish with images of Disney princesses, Barbie, fairies and magical animals.

For boys, you can choose pirates, favorite cartoon characters, or comic book characters as decoration. Boys will also be interested in the original design of sandwiches in the shape of boats.

If your birthday is in the summer: what to prepare for a children's party in nature

Children always look forward to a picnic, because they love spending time in nature. And for parents, a children’s picnic is a reason to think about creating a menu, since what is usually taken for a picnic may not be suitable for the child’s body.

When choosing dishes, you should think about convenience first. The food should not fall apart, the sauce should not leak. This rule is important for children; they do not sit still for long and can get dirty.

You should not choose foods high in fat. You should also avoid fried, spicy and salty foods. It is better to prefer fresh fruits and vegetables, and put berries in a picnic basket.

Shish kebab is a dish without which it is difficult to imagine a picnic. But heavy meat (pork, lamb) is harmful for children. It is also better to exclude sausages and frankfurters on fire. But there is no need to leave a children's party without barbecue. You can make a light version of them using chicken. To marinate such a dish you need to use a small amount of vinegar and some seasonings.

Drinking is the most important thing at a children's picnic. We can’t forget healthy fruit drinks and juices; in the heat, children will want to drink.

Features of celebrating a birthday at home

When choosing your apartment or house for a children's party, in addition to the question of decoration, the question of food at the children's party also arises.

A children's birthday menu at home can be prepared without any problems, because you can put any dish on the table at home, unlike relaxing outdoors. The main thing is to stock up on plenty of liquid: children play constantly, which means they want to drink often. You can experiment with drinks by mixing different juices, juice with soda or tea.

Children at an early age do not eat much, so it is worth giving preference to light meals and snacks.

Children are especially attracted to dishes with original design. Some children love cheese dishes. Not everyone loves pizza.

The scope for choosing dishes for a home celebration is huge, so you need to take what is useful for children at a particular age, what the child loves and eats with pleasure all the time. It is better to prepare a simple dish, but it is interesting to play with it so that the children will want to try it.

Festive children's table

Position and place of work: teacher, MDOU combined kindergarten No. 193, Yaroslavl
Description and purpose of the material: Everyone understands that children cannot and should not eat adult dishes. They have a special diet. Children are not allowed mayonnaise (if you really want to, you can make it at home), hot sauces, and the combination of products from which we sometimes prepare is unacceptable for them. This material is presented to help parents and grandparents. The recipes for the dishes offered are easy to prepare, aesthetically pleasing and tasty. What's important is that they are designed specifically for children.

If a child’s birthday is coming up, or just children’s get-togethers or New Year’s holidays, it’s time to surprise your little guests with colorful, delicious dishes. The main thing in organizing a children's holiday table is that it is tasty, healthy, original and desirable, and does not take much time and effort. I offer several tips and recipes that will help solve this problem.

Fruit kebab
Cut fruit into pieces (apples, pears, halves of plums - any) or whole berries, put on the same stick and either dip in melted chocolate and let harden, or dip in the dough, as for pancakes, and fry in a frying pan, and sprinkle with sugar on top powder.
The second option is more satisfying, but a little more complicated.

Closed sandwiches
For 4 sandwiches: 8 pieces of square white bread, 50 grams of butter, 8 pieces of Cheddar cheese (the size of the bread) (you can replace it with another cheese, even take feta cheese), 4 square pieces of ham.
Spread butter on each piece of bread. Place a square of cheese and a piece of ham on 4 pieces of bread. Season. Place another piece of cheese on top. Cover with another piece of bread. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sandwiches until golden and crispy. Cut out different shapes from sandwiches with a cookie cutter. Top with vegetables.

Baskets with salad
2 cups plain flour, 200 grams of butter, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, salt to taste.
Chop flour and butter, add eggs and sour cream, knead the dough and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Grease the molds with oil. Roll out the dough into a layer 1/2 centimeter thick, roll it onto a rolling pin and then place it on top of the molds, placed one next to the other in rows, pressing with the rolling pin so that there is a circle of dough on each mold. Press the dough into the mold with your fingers so that the inside of the mold is completely covered with an even layer of dough. Place the molds on a baking sheet in the oven, bake and cool.
Fill the baskets with any of the salads.
For example,

Salad "Delicious"
400 grams of apples, 300 grams of carrots, 150 grams of walnuts, sour cream.
Peel the apples and cut into thin strips.
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, add chopped walnuts, season with sour cream.

Salad "Ships"
This salad is very beautiful on the table and resembles ships.
You need to take 5 boiled eggs and cut them lengthwise into 2 parts. Free the whites from the yolks. Place the yolks in a deep plate, add 0.5 cans of any canned fish in oil and finely chopped onion.
Mash everything thoroughly with a fork until smooth. You can add salt and pepper to taste. Place the egg white halves on a flat plate and carefully place the prepared minced meat into the indentations with a spoon. Top with sour cream or homemade mayonnaise (you can use yogurt). Cut triangles from hard cheese in the shape of a sail, stick them into the middle of the eggs.

Mini meringues
For 12 meringues you need: 4 egg whites, 250 grams of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla essence, red food coloring, 1 tablespoon of wine vinegar, 375 grams of whipped cream, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries for decoration, sugar powder.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Beat the whites until thick. Add sugar, one spoon at a time, whisking constantly until all the sugar is gone. Using a large spoon, stir in the flour, vanilla, a few drops of food coloring and vinegar. Place the parchment on a baking sheet, attach the heart shape or glass to the paper and trace along the outline six times. You should get six drawn hearts or circles. Spoon the mixture into the drawn shapes. Use a spoon to make a well in the center of each meringue. Place in the center of the oven and bake at 150 degrees for 30 minutes. After half an hour, remove from the oven and let cool. When the meringues have cooled, whip the cream a little more. Place a spoonful of cream on each meringue and top with fruit. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.

"Strawberries"
2 packs of waffles, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, cherry juice.
Pass 2 packs of any waffles through a meat grinder, add 2 tablespoons of sour cream, roll into balls, and shape into strawberries. Dip each piece in cherry or beet juice, roll in sugar, and put in the refrigerator.

Stuffed oranges
4 large oranges, 200 grams of ice cream, 2 tablespoons of chopped nuts.
Cut oranges crosswise into 2 parts. Remove the pulp, clean it of grains and films, mix with ice cream and nuts. Fill the oranges with the mixture and place in the refrigerator.

Ice cream dish
Roll out the finished puff pastry into a rectangular layer, cut into diamonds, carefully brush the surface with yolk, without touching the side edges (otherwise they will not rise). These will be "ships".
Carefully cut the finished “boat” in half lengthwise, put ice cream balls inside: sprinkle with nuts, pour glaze or berry syrups, cover with the top half and place on the table.

Banana cocktail
500 grams of boiled chilled milk, 500 grams of fresh bananas, 200 grams of sugar syrup, 10 eggs (ice if desired).
Finely chop the bananas and place in glasses. In a mixer, mix milk, syrup, eggs for 1-2 minutes and pour bananas with this mixture.

Berry kefir
1 glass of kefir, a handful of any (can be frozen) berries, 3 teaspoons of sugar, 1-2 teaspoons of low-fat cream.
Mash the berries with a fork. Add sugar and cream. Mix everything thoroughly, pour the mixture into kefir and beat with a mixer for about a minute. Can be decorated with an umbrella.

Zucchini rolls
1 zucchini, 0.5 cups rice, 1 bell pepper, carrots (season with pepper), dill (a couple of sprigs), salt, soy sauce for serving.
Boil the rice in salted water until tender. Add finely chopped greens. Thinly slice the zucchini and fry in a frying pan until golden brown. Cut the bell pepper into thin slices, do the same with the carrots (and sprinkle with black pepper if you are using unprepared Korean carrots).
Place rice on top of the zucchini in an even layer, leaving a little space at the base.
Place the peppers and carrots in the free space at the base.
Wrap the zucchini in a roll. Cut crosswise into pieces 2 centimeters thick.

Muffins with apples
90 grams of margarine, 100 grams of flour, 70-80 grams of sugar, 2 eggs, a pinch of salt, 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 large apple for filling + 1 for decoration, half a bag of vanilla, cinnamon to taste, powdered sugar.
Mash sugar, margarine and yolks with a fork. Add flour, vanilla, cinnamon and baking powder. Stir until smooth. Peel the apple and cut into cubes. Beat the whites until foamy with a pinch of salt and add to the main mixture. Place in muffin tins, filling 2/3 full. Using a slicer (or shredder), cut the apples into half rings. Decorate the muffins with pieces of apples, bending them in a semicircle, like rose petals. Place in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 C. Immediately sprinkle the finished muffins with powder.

Hot chocolate
200 milliliters of cream (10%), 50 grams of dark chocolate, 50 grams of milk chocolate (you can only use dark chocolate), vanilla or cinnamon to taste
Heat the cream, add finely chopped chocolate. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely dissolved. As soon as it boils, let it “puff” for literally 1 minute. Pour into cups.

Potato cake
1 kilogram of shortbread cookies, 1.5 glasses of milk, 50 grams of butter, nuts to taste, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, coconut crumbs (for coating)
Break the cookies and pass through a meat grinder with nuts. Part of the cookies (literally 2 tablespoons can be left if you want to roll the potatoes in it). Add cocoa and melted butter to the cookies. Add milk and stir until a homogeneous plasticine-like mass is obtained.
Let's make "balls". Roll as desired - in cookie-nut mixture or coconut, or you can not roll at all.

Tricolor jelly
3 bags of ready-made jelly of different colors, boiling water.
Pour the contents of the bag into any deep container. Pour boiling water (see proportions on the bag). Stir until the powder dissolves. We do the same with the remaining packs of jelly.
By the way, when buying jelly, take bright colors, such as red, yellow and green (natural). When the jelly has cooled slightly, pour the first layer and put it in the refrigerator. As soon as the 1st layer has hardened, fill in the 2nd layer of a different color. We repeat the procedure with the refrigerator, and fill in the 3rd layer.

Every mother wants the special day of the year - the birthday of her child - to be bright, special and memorable. At 2 years old, the child has no special wishes about what the holiday should be like, so the mother herself must carefully think through everything and organize it so that it is interesting for everyone who is invited, especially children.

A child's birthday should be bright, colorful and interesting

Most parents prefer to spend the holiday at home, it’s more convenient. Competitions, clowns, animation - all this can be ordered at home, but the menu is a little more complicated. We need to prepare dishes that are tasty, healthy and served in a special way to attract the attention of children and make them want to try them.

What dishes to choose, what to serve first and how to serve everything, all these questions are asked by all mothers who are preparing a birthday party for their 2-year-old child.

What should not be on the holiday table

There are small food restrictions that every mother must adhere to if she wants to organize a party for her 2-year-old child and his friends. At this age, not all foods and dishes can be eaten, so the main thing when creating a birthday menu is:

  • no salty, spicy or fatty foods;
  • dishes with pepper, mayonnaise sauce and garlic are not welcome on the table;
  • It is also better to remove smoked meats;
  • do not experiment by mixing many different products in one dish;
  • remove fresh fruits and vegetables from the menu that can cause allergies;
  • do not put on the table fish dishes with bones, grapes, fruits with rough peels and anything that a child could choke on; set aside for holidays of the older generation;
  • Use fruits and vegetables that can stain clothes to a minimum.

Beautiful and tasty snacks

Recently, canape sandwiches have become very popular on children's menus. In order for them to interest children, it is advisable to make them in the unusual shape of boats, stars or bugs. In addition, to prepare them you will need only safe products, and their creation will take little time.

Canapés are prepared only from fresh bread, preferably white, butter, pieces of boiled pork, not fried, but baked, delicate varieties of cheese and vegetables or fruits. Use your imagination and prepare canapés from those products that your beloved baby loves best.

It is important for children to never use skewers and toothpicks for canapés, as the child can prick themselves with them.

Delicious and healthy salads for children's parties

Healthy salads can be laid out on a plate in the shape of an animal or flower, and little children will like this type of serving. There are a large number of salads, each mother can choose from this list for her menu those that she likes, but pay attention to this salad.

Salad "sun"

The first thing I want to say is that it contains orange and lemon, so for children prone to allergies it is better not to cook it, otherwise it is very light, satisfying and tasty.

To prepare it you will need:

  • orange – 2 pcs.;
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs., but they can be replaced with 8 quail eggs, which will make the salad even more healthy;
  • boiled chicken – 300 g;
  • cucumber;
  • apple.

As a dressing, you can use a sauce made from yogurt, olive oil, a couple of drops of lemon juice and egg yolks.

The salad is prepared like this: oranges, cucumber and apple, peeled and cut as finely as possible. Peel the egg, chop finely and add to the rest of the ingredients, do the same with the chicken. Add salt, mix and place beautifully in the shape of a sun on a plate, pour sauce on top.

The salad is ready, you can serve it to the kids. But remember that citrus fruits can cause allergies, so ask mothers invited to the baby shower about whether they can eat fruits that can provoke such a reaction. Be sure to adjust the menu based on this.

Salad "Tropics"

The birthday menu for 2-year-old children should be varied, satisfying and light, so parents should pay attention to the “Tropics” salad, which almost all children love and eat with great pleasure. The recipe is quite simple and easy, and does not require much expense, as it contains a small amount of ingredients.

Its preparation will need:

  • 300 g chicken, only boiled;
  • 300-400 grams of pineapples;
  • 1 apple, preferably green;
  • grapes in the amount of 1 cup.

Peel the apples, grate them on a fine grater and sprinkle lightly with lemon juice. Chop the pineapple and add to the apples; do the same with the meat. Cut the grapes into two halves and add to the dish. You can season it with mayonnaise, but only homemade or yogurt.

Children eat sweet fruit salad with great pleasure!

You can also add a vegetable salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and herbs to your holiday menu, but just cut the vegetables finely and season them with olive oil. It is better to serve the salad on the table in small salad bowls for each child separately.

Sweet fruit salad

Your child will eat this delicious salad with great pleasure. It is prepared immediately before guests arrive, as the fruit may lose its color and the salad will not look very attractive. It is worth asking the parents of the invited children if they are allergic to bee products and nuts; if not, then add honey to the bottom of the salad bowl, and sprinkle the top of the salad with chopped nuts.

For the salad you will need:

  • green apple, banana;
  • 1 glass of raisin grapes;
  • 1 pear fruit;
  • a glass of yogurt.

Take the fruits without peels and cut them into small pieces. Divide the grapes in half and combine with fruit. Mix everything, place in small salad bowls, and pour yogurt over the top of the dish. This tasty and at the same time light dish is prepared quickly and is sure to please children.

A child’s birthday comes once a year, and 2 years once in a lifetime, and every mother wants to make this day special, so the menu for this day is carefully selected.

The salads are ready, but what would a holiday be without main courses, but what to cook for a children’s birthday that would be beautiful, tasty and the children would like it.

Second courses

For a children's birthday, you should not prepare a lot of hot dishes, because children eat little, they are more interested in entertainment than in the festive table. Therefore, for a children's party you can only prepare a side dish and a meat dish.

For a children's birthday, when the child is only 2 years old and almost all the guests are the same age, it is better to choose meat dishes with minced meat. They cook quickly, the meat turns out tender and soft, and a 2-year-old child will eat it with pleasure.

Each mother decides for herself which recipe to choose for her child’s birthday, but perhaps you will like this one more.

Chicken zrazy with quail egg

Little children will definitely like these zrazy, because they are very tender and tasty, and besides, they have a little secret inside that will interest the children and make them eat the dish.

Potato puree “Traffic light”

Every mother should like dishes made from natural products enriched with useful substances; besides, bright colors perfectly decorate the table and attract children who come to the holiday.

What's a birthday without sweets! Preference should be given to light, not too sweet pastries and cakes.

To make colorful mashed potatoes you will need:

  • carrot juice – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • beetroot – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • spinach juice – 3 tbsp. l.

Place the puree in the form of balls in a frying pan and place in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

For a children's birthday party, you don't have to bake multi-colored puree balls, but simply put them beautifully on each child's plate. This puree will decorate any table.

The birthday of a child, especially one who turns 2 years old, should be interesting, the menu is ready, now you need to choose drinks and sweets.

As for drinks, milkshakes of different colors with the addition of fruit are good; here everything depends on the mother’s imagination. Milkshakes are very healthy and taste good; every child will drink such a drink with great pleasure if you put it on the table.

But as for sweets, preference should be given to light, not too sweet pastries and cakes. “Bird's Milk”, “Carrot” cake or any other cake are perfect, but only with light and airy cream; children will like this more.

There is no need to overload the table for a small child’s birthday; the main thing for him is entertainment and games with friends. Prepare the dishes that the birthday boy likes best, he will eat it with pleasure, and the other children will do the same.

A child’s birthday should be bright, colorful and interesting, so that it is memorable and captivating for children, and the dishes must be originally designed, then any child will want to try them.

Setting a children's table for a birthday or any other event has its own characteristics, rules and even trends. For example, in recent years, candy bars and themed table decorations have become fashionable. Let's figure out how to arrange a magical and bright holiday for your child at home with your own hands: what to treat little guests, how to decorate a festive table and/or candy bar, and also how to manage everything and fit into the budget.

10 tips for mom

So, to organize and decorate a children's holiday table, you need:

1. Choose a theme or style

Children have a great imagination, which is why a themed children's party is doomed to success - your baby and his friends will be happy to plunge into the magical world of, for example, their favorite cartoon. And it will be easier for you to come up with colors, decorations, a child’s outfit and holiday attributes.

  • It is better to choose the theme of the holiday together with the hero of the occasion, and if you are sure of his preferences, then a themed birthday can be a wonderful surprise.

There are a lot of themes for children's parties, here are three groups of the most popular themes:

  1. Themes of cartoons, films and books. For example, it could be the classic “Alice in Wonderland” or “Cinderella”, or it could be the modern and very popular “Frozen”, “My Little Pony”, “Harry Potter”, “Smeshariki”, “Minions”, etc. For examples of this type of party design, see the following selection of photos (scroll through).
  1. Topics of interesting professions and areas of activity. These could be: scientists, ballerinas, pilots, astronauts, firefighters, farmers, detectives, etc. You can also focus on your child’s hobbies - does he like to draw, sing, dance, read, is interested in animals, history, geography, etc., All hobbies can be used to decorate a children's table.

  1. Topics from different historical eras and cultures of the peoples of the world. This could be the design of a children's table, stylized on the theme of Indians, Vikings, medieval knights, pirates, etc.

On the other hand, it is not very easy to comply with the chosen theme in everything and oblige guests to dress up in certain outfits, so you can simply choose some interesting motif (hearts, stars, stripes, etc.), style and color palette.

2. Maintain the color scheme

Regardless of whether you want to have a themed birthday party or just decorate the table beautifully, you need to maintain a certain color scheme of 2-3 colors - this very condition is almost the main secret of successful table setting. Ideally, all elements - from napkins to drinking straws - should match the selected shades.

3. Choose a suitable room and prepare furniture

  • A children's party at home can be held in the children's room, living room or kitchen.

  • If you want to set up a candy bar, then a chest of drawers, a coffee table, or a mobile serving table can serve as a table. You can place it in front of a window or in a corner if there is not enough space.

  • If the size of the room allows, then you can divide the guests into two companies and set two tables - one for parents, the other for little friends.

4. Hang ceiling and wall decorations above the table

You need to decorate not only the table itself, but also the space around it. Almost all the decor can and should be done with your own hands:

  • A garland with the words “Happy Birthday!” or the child's name;
  • Paper decorations: colored pompoms, flowers, figures, stars, hearts, etc.;
  • Background for a table or candy bar made of paper or fabric, etc.

5. Choose suitable dishes for sweets

You will need to prepare:

  • Plates and cutlery;
  • Shelves for sweets and fruits;

  • Glasses. Instead, you can use jars and bottles of a suitable size, for example, baby food. They should, of course, be decorated and filled in advance;

  • Cake tray (cake stand);

  • For a dessert bar you will need dishes and trays for treats.

Tip: for reasons of safety, economy and beauty, use disposable tableware - paper or hard plastic. You need to try to find it in a certain color, but if you don’t find it, take universal white sets.

6. Make an elegant tablecloth

There are no requirements for a festive tablecloth for a children's table other than compliance with the chosen color scheme. Therefore, it is not necessary to buy high-quality finished products and spend time on careful sewing.

  • A tablecloth for a candy bar can have a slight overhang or be floor-length. This kind of banquet can be made literally in 1 evening from taffeta, organza, mesh or packaging film. To fix and drape the fabric, in addition to sewing, you can use a stapler, glue web or just tape as shown in the photo on the right.

  • On the festive children's table you can lay a colored disposable tablecloth or oilcloth, which is now easy to find in regular stores;
  • The most ordinary white tablecloth, which is in every home, can easily be creatively modified. You can simply lay on it an elegant runner of the desired color, a colored disposable tablecloth, or. The following photo can give you some ideas.

7. Make or buy decor for serving and treats

Decorations for a children's holiday table play a very important role, and you can also make them yourself from scrap and natural materials.

  • Vases;
  • Under plates;
  • Napkins (paper, not textile);
  • Decorations for tubes, skewers, spoons, etc.;
  • Decoration for cake and desserts;
  • Various table decor, including themed ones;
  • (can only be used for decoration; candles should be lit with caution).

Here are some ideas you can take note of.

8. Create a menu and find suitable recipes

A birthday for children is a celebration of the belly, when the table is covered with their favorite sweets and not-so-healthy goodies. Your task is not only to brightly decorate the dishes, but also to serve them in a form convenient for children: in mini-formats, in glasses, boxes, in the form of canapés, on skewers, on sticks and in tartlets. And most importantly, don’t overdo it – kids don’t need a lot of food while having fun.

Here is a list of dishes from which you can create a menu:

  • Sweets (for the main table or candy bar): cupcakes, donuts, eclairs, pancakes, cookies, macaroni, gingerbreads, cake pops (glazed sponge balls on sticks), lollipops, marmalade, marshmallows, gingerbreads, beautiful sweets and, of course well, cake. Sweets can replace/supplement fruits, berries and nuts in the form of canapés, sliced or with yoghurt in a glass. The photo below shows an example of decorating cupcakes and fruits for a pirate party.

  • Second, stuffed baked potatoes, French fries, chicken nuggets, and mac and cheese are more likely to be eaten.
  • The children's table can be set only with snacks: spring rolls, pies, small sandwiches, mini sandwiches and burgers, crackers, salads in tartlets.

9. Decorate the chairs

Chairs can also “participate” in the creation of the holiday. To do this, you can decorate them, drape them, tie them with a bow, tie a ball, hang decorations, name plates or any thematic attributes on them.

10. Prepare memorable gifts or compliments for guests

If desired, in memory of the event, prepare mini-presents or compliments for guests and place them on snack plates as shown in the photo below. These could be carrots with sweets, toys or attributes that match the theme. For example, tiaras for princesses, magic wands for fairies, blindfolds for pirates, pipes, caps, etc., that is, something that children can immediately use and then take home.

And the last piece of advice is to start preparing for the holiday as early as possible, then you will have more time to make your own decor, search for and “rehearsal” recipes, etc. So, if you want to organize a party with a candy bar, then you should start preparing 6-2 months in advance, depending on the size of the table. Well, that’s all, we wish you pleasant creative troubles, creative ideas and their successful implementation!
