How to crochet pico with 3 stitches. Knitting "picot" of different types

pico crochet is an element of decoration, can be independent or as part of a pattern. The main canvas can be included pico crochet.

Surely you have already met this element in many descriptions. It is very common.

Pico is pretty easy to do. Pico crochet is a chain of air loops closed in a circle. But, despite the simplicity of execution, it looks very impressive!

Most often, pico is used to decorate a crocheted canvas. But this is not the only use case. There are some crochet patterns where the pico is the key element.

There are several options for performing pico. The difference is in size and closure method. And there are also options for combining several pico to get another pattern. We will consider all of this.

And today we will consider the base - the most common crochet pico, which closes with a connecting post.

Pico crochet closed by a connecting post

Today we will look at two options for pico.

The first pico is done using three chain stitches, and the second one is done using five chain stitches. We will close the chain in a circle with the help of a connecting column.

Pico crochet from three air loops

1. Consider the most normal version edge decoration with picot. In this case, pico is performed over the main row. I did two lifts and

3. I stretched out the loops a little which will need to be picked up. Look at one loop - this is the top of the single crochet, which we grab by the front bow. And the second loop is the top loop from a single crochet

6. Stretching out working thread through all the loops on the hook, i.e. perform a half-column without a crochet ()

8. Pico of three air loops closed on the diagrams can be indicated in one of the following ways

Pico of five air loops

4. Pico crochet of five air loops closed by a connecting column in the diagram can be indicated by one of the following options

pico, crochet(or, as it is also called, pique) is the simplest, but at the same time, beautiful pattern for tying products. You can tie a pico with any knitted items, incl. knitting needles, as well as napkins, tablecloths, towels and even shoes. Things with such a strapping look original and beautiful. How to crochet a picot pattern on your own? Such a loop does not fit at all difficult. Beginning craftswomen will easily learn how to perform this element if they carefully study our master class with diagrams.

Educational MK on crocheting pico according to patterns

Pico is a chain connected from several air loops and closed in a circle. There are several ways in which it fits.

The classic version is knitted over the main row of the product.

In order to knit the classic version, you need to insert the hook at the beginning of the fabric, dial 3 ch, return the hook to the loop where you started knitting air loops and knit. The photo below shows the diagram.

A video tutorial will help you understand this technique thoroughly.

A simple Shamrock pattern in the finished product

Insert the hook in the place where the pico will be, dial 3 ch. and close them in a ring with a connecting column. Next, knit another 3 ch. and crochet in the first c. n., that is, at the beginning of the second leaf of the shamrock. Knit the third sheet in the same way. Connect all the leaves by knitting a connecting column in the loop of the main row of the fabric. The scheme of this pattern is shown in the photo below.

Video lesson:

"Coins" to decorate the created version

Knit 5 ch, remove the hook from the loop, stand with it in the first ch. of five loops, grab the left loop and knit. The scheme of the rounded pico is shown in the photo.

Flat pico and triangular for every taste

This type of strapping is performed when a wavy edge needs to be created on the product. Cast on 5 ch, make 1 yarn over, knit from the first ch. double crochet and fasten the “picot” with a connecting column through 3 loops from the beginning of the set of ch.

Dial 5 ch. On this chain, starting from the second loop from the hook, knit st. b / n., 1 semist., Art. s / n, art. s / 2n. It turns out a triangle. Fasten this element to the canvas with a connecting loop through 3 loops from the beginning of the chain.

Neck tying in this technique is quick and easy

In any knitted product neck needs to be worked on. The meaning of the strapping is to secure, seal and decorate the edge of the product. Crocheting the neck with Pico (diagrams below) - the most the best option. In the following photos you will see products with a pico neck, as well as strapping patterns.

These neck options are made with classic pico piping from ch 3. The description of knitting this pattern is described in this article above.

In the next photo you see a knitted collar, the neck of which is also decorated using this technique.

In this case, the loop is knitted on every third column. To make it more clear to knitters how the neck is tied, we give knitting patterns for the entire collar.

Pico

Tambour works very often end with small teeth, which are called pico. They are: dense, from air loops and lace.
Dense pico, in turn, are divided into small, large, sharp and pico with round leaves.
Small round pico.
They are made both on the knitting itself and separately from it.
Separately, they are knitted like this: 3 air loops; turn the work over and, capturing in the 2nd and 1st loops, knit 1 column without a cape.
On the tambour row, this pico is performed as follows: 1 column without a cape, * 3 air loops, return and knit 2 columns without a cape from them; leave 1 loop and knit 1 column without a cape, capturing in the next loop. Start from *.

Large round pico.
Cast on 5 chain stitches, skip 3 loops of them and knit 1 column on the 2nd loop and 1 column on the 1st loop, then repeat again.
In the case when this pico needs to decorate some kind of tambour work, then they knit like this: knit 5 air loops, skip 3 of them and knit on the last two 2 columns; then leave 2 loops at the bottom at work and tie in the 3rd 1 column without a cape. Knitting repeat.

Spicy pico.
Throw 6 air loops; then skip the 6th loop and knit on five chain stitches: 1 tight loop, 1 column without a cape, 1 half-column, 1 simple column and, finally,
1 double column. Then repeat from the beginning.

Pico small leaves.
Knitting is performed as follows: * 4 air loops; 3 simple columns in the first loop; 1 tight loop in the same loop in which 3 columns are connected **; 2 or 3 chain stitches and repeat from * to **.
If these picots form a side of chain knitting, then instead of air loops that form a gap, they knit
2 tight loops in two loops of the previous row.

Pico large leaves.
It is performed on six air loops. In the first of them, knit 3 double columns (the loops of the columns remain on the hook). Yarn over the hook and thread it through 4 loops. Cast on 5 air loops. Knit 1 tight loop into the loop in which the columns are connected. Repeat from the beginning.

Pico from air loops.
For small pico from air loops, you need to knit: 5 air loops; 1 tight loop in the first of five chain loops.
For large chain picots: 5 chain stitches; 1 column in the first of them.

Postal pico.
5 air loops, 1 postal column connect in a circle and chain with the 5th air loop.

Round pico down.
This picot is done on five air loops. Remove the hook from the loop and grab it in 1 of the five air loops. Then take the left loop and thread it through the loop on the hook.

Lace pico.
In order to make a lace picot from air loops, you need to tie 2 air loops and thread the hook through the first air loop. Throw on a thread, thread it, pull the pico off the hook. Knit 2 air loops again. Again, thread the hook through the 1st air loop, throw on the thread, thread it, pull the pico off the hook again. Repeat all steps from the beginning.

Lace picot with bollards without cape: 1 bouffant without cape; 1 air loop; pull up a loop in picot size and remove the hook.
The loop can be put on a stick or a thick knitting needle (for convenience), hooked into the horizontal thread of the last loop, put on the thread, thread it through this loop; 1 column without a cape, capturing in the next loop; then all over again.

Pico with a border of posts.
Take 7 air loops. Then follow: 1 tight loop in the 4th air loop; 1 triple column in the 1st of seven air loops; * 1 peak of 4 air loops; 1 triple column in the 2nd cape of the first triple column and repeat from *.

Pico (or pique) is the simplest, but at the same time very beautiful pattern, with which various products are tied, for example, tablecloths, napkins, towels and, which is not usual, shoes. Products, the edges of which are tied with pico, look very beautiful and original. For crocheting this element, the patterns are given below. If you are interested in video tutorials, then scroll to the end of the article.

And here is the pico in patterns:

But there are options for knitting pico and knitting.

To learn how to crochet pico, you can check out the master class below.

Crochet pico: step by step MK for beginners

To perform pico, you need to tie a chain of 3 air loops (vp) and connect it first with a connecting column (ss).

Let's take a closer look at knitting pico with single crochets (sb / n).

According to this scheme, you need to knit 3 sb / n.

Then knit a chain of 3 ch.

Insert the hook into the s / n from which these loops were started, passing it through the loop of the top of the column and the side wall.

Grab the thread.

And knit the loops that are on the hook.

The result is a pico element. As you can see, crocheting pico is not at all difficult.

Repeat from beginning to end the required number of times, this is what happens:

In the same way, you can knit pico on chains from ch and over ss / n.

The pico or pique pattern has a large number of knitting options. All of them very well decorate the product tied with them, which looks much more interesting with such a lining. And the product, for which pique was used for knitting, looks very unusual and elegant.

beautiful patterns

Below are the pique crochet patterns.

The following pique samples can be used not only for tying, but also, just like in the first sample, used in the pattern itself.

If knitting according to patterns and descriptions is difficult for you, then you can use video tutorials in which everything is shown clearly.

Volumetric technique:

Often in the description of the implementation of the model, you can find two options for performing the pico. It cannot be said that one of them is true and the other is not. Both options are valid. And in order not to get confused in them, let's consider them both.

The first version of the pico crochet.

1. In the place where you need to make a pico, dial three air loops (Fig. 1.).

2. Insert the hook into the first air loop, grab the working thread, pull it through this loop. Then grab the working thread again and pull it through two loops on the hook (Fig. 2.).

3. Next, perform pico in the same way (Fig. 3.).

The second version of the pico crochet.

1. Cast on three air loops.
2. Insert the hook as follows (Fig. 4.).

3. Yarn over and pull through all three loops on the hook. Then perform pico in the same way (Fig. 5.).

As you can see, the pico made in the first way is more "sharp" and the second is more rounded.
