Women's hat crochet braid pattern. Cap pattern "Braids" (Crochet) We knit the main pattern

Hi all! Today I will share a description of such a set - a hat with crochet braids and a circular snood.

I knitted it from yarn Vita Brilliant in two threads crochet No. 4, an elastic band for a hat crochet No. 3.5

The consumption of yarn for a hat and snood is 400 grams.

I must say right away that the braid pattern was not invented by me, the author of such braids is Polina Kuts, here I share my best practices, showing how I do it.

For elastic we take a hook for 0.5-1 size less hook for the main pattern.

We have a hat without a lapel, so for the elastic we dial 12 air loops+1 lifting loop 13 loops.

1st row.

We knit with ordinary single crochets.

!ADVICE! The first 5-10 rows are best counted so that there are exactly 12 loops in each row. It just happens, sometimes you don’t notice, and then you miss the loop, then you knit an extra one. Especially at the beginning and at the end - and the gum starts to mow, it turns out uneven.

We knit the second and the remaining rows with columns without a knit for back half loops.

!ADVICE! We knit the last loop in each row for both halves of the loop so that the edge is neat.

We need to knit 84 rows of elastic.

Then fold the edges of the gum and crochet with connecting posts.

We knit the main pattern

Now take hook number 4

For the main pattern, we should get 88 loops (a multiple of 8)

We unfold the elastic with the seam inward - i.e. on the front side.

The first row will be knitted with single crochets (CH) - in each row of elastic, 1 column, we will get 84 columns. And we still need to make 4 increases.

!ADVICE! When knitting, count the double crochets.

INCREASES:

To increase to 88 columns - we will make 4 increases, that is, in some 4 of the 88 rows of elastic we will knit not one, but two columns with one crochet at once. For example, in the 20th loop we knit two double crochets at once, and in the 40th, 60th and 80th also two CHs in one loop.

We dial 3 runways, they will replace the first double crochet (i.e. 3 runways are counted as one double crochet.

We collect 3 runways (lifting loops) and continue to knit in a circle.

2nd row.

2RS + 6LS = 8 LOOP

3rd and 4th row: knit the same way as the 2nd row.

5th row

We knit crossed facial columns, but not with one, but already

We make 2 crochets on the hook.

6th, 7th and 8th rows. We knit in the same way as the second row.

The 6th row is a bit complicated in that you have to move the top 3 front columns and knit 3 columns under them - we knit with front columns with 1 crochet. It is especially difficult to get to the 3rd column. But nothing, with practice, get used to it and it will go easily - like clockwork))

9th row- knit as 5th row.

These 4 rows - 3 simple and 1 cross - we will call "half-braids". In total, we will have 6 such "half-braids".

Knit so 1 "half-braid" in lilac. Then we will make a gradient - color transition:

We knit in 2 strands. That is, we have 2 threads - we change one of them to white, the other thread remains lilac. Cut off one of the lilac threads, and tie a white one to it. Now we have white and lilac threads together.

We will knit 2 more “half-braids” in white-lilac color. That is 6 rows.

Now we change the remaining lilac thread to white - now we will knit only in white.

So we knit only 19 rows from the gum.

The first 5 "half-braids" are 19 rows.

Starting from the 20th - cross - row - we will make decreases.

Making the crown of the hat

20th row. Cross.

We make 3 runways, we knit a loan of 1 IRS not to the end, i.e. unfinished purl - we had 2 loops + 1 loop on the hook. We will knit these 3 loops on the hook together into one - this is a decrease.

Then we knit the crossed facial columns with 2 crochets as always, as the 5th row - the 4th, 5th, 6th column. Then 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Next, we will decrease the loops: we knit 2 unfinished purl columns into one. That is, 3 loops on the hook are knitted together. Then again crossed columns with 2 crochets and so on until the end of the row. We finish with a connecting loop.

21st row:

We knit the front columns, do not touch the wrong ones, just skip.

3 runways (lift loops).

We knit the first LRS as a regular facial one. And the 2nd and 3rd LRS - we knit in one, decrease. That is, the 2nd untied column and the 3rd untied column - we get 3 loops on the hook and we knit them together, dragging working thread immediately through these 3 loops together.

We also connect the 4th and 5th columns into one - decrease. And we knit the 6th column as a regular front one.

So until the end of the 21st row.

22nd row:

2 runways (lift loops). We have 4 loops:

1st loop - front column

2nd loop - we combined the 2nd and 3rd column into one

3rd loop - we combined the 4th and 5th column into one

4th loop - front column

The first loop - the first column will be knitted as a front.

And the second loop and the 3rd - we make a decrease. Let's combine these columns into one:

We introduce the hook under two combined columns (2nd and 3rd), grab the working thread and knit one unfinished front column - we have 2 loops on the hook.

Again, we introduce the hook under the two combined columns (4th and 5th), grab the working thread and knit another unfinished front column - we have 3 loops on the hook. Now. We will knit these 3 loops together - a decrease.

And we will knit the 6th column as a regular front one.

So to the end of the row.

23rd row.

The last row - knit only facial! We do not touch the purl, skip.

2 runways (lift loops). Now we connect the remaining two facial columns into one.

We connect the 1st and 2nd untied facial columns into one - knitting 3 loops on the hook together.

We also combine the 5th and 6th facial columns into one. So to the end of the row.

We finish the row with a connecting loop. We leave the thread longer, about 10 cm, and cut it off.

Tighten the top of the hat

We thread the left thread into a large needle and insert it into the loops alternately - to the end of the row. Then we tighten the thread - so we pulled the crown. We fix the thread from the inside.

Attach a pom-pom (optional).

Crocheted braided hat is ready:

We knit snood

Snood fits in the same way as a hat, even easier. We only collect 96 loops - we will have 12 braids.

Scored 96 loops, connected in a ring.

1st row:

3 runways, knit 95 columns with one crochet. (3 runways will replace the first stitch, so 95 stitches remain.)

Be sure to count when knitting!

2nd row:

We collect 3 lifting loops (they will replace 1 purl column), then we will knit another purl column, now we knit 6 facial columns. Then the pattern is repeated:

2RS + 6LS = 8 LOOP

So to the end of the row. At the end of the connecting loop.

3rd and 4th row: knit the same way as the 2nd row.

5th row. Cross, let's call it that.

Now we will knit crossed columns with 2 crochets.

We collect 3 runways (they replace 1 wrong column according to the scheme).

We knit crossed facial columns, but not with one, but already with two crochets.

We make 2 crochets on the hook.

We knit the front relief columns in this order: we skip the first 3 columns, and first we knit the 5th, 6th, and 7th front columns with 2 crochets.

Then we return to knit the remaining 1st, 2nd, 3rd facial columns with 2 crochets.

Then 2 purl stitches and again 6 crossed stitches with 2 crochets - so to the end of the row, we finish with a connecting loop

6th, 7th and 8th rows. We knit in the same way as the second row.

9th row- knit as 5th row.

We also do color transitions.

Only here it is better to change the color later than on the cap.

We knit 4 "half-braids" - that is, 16 rows of lilac, then we change the color - we attach one white thread, we knit 9 more rows, we change the second thread to white - we knit the remaining 9 rows only with white.

Here we have such a set of braids with a gradient:

We will crochet a warm hat with a braid pattern, which we will form from lush columns. It knits easily and looks very pretty.

Note that needlewomen who prefer crocheted products will be able to find in this about 20 patterns of knitting a plaid with patterns and video tutorials.

You can use the thread of the color that best suits your face. Also, the finished product can be decorated at your discretion: sew on a fur pom-pom or make it out of fur, add some stones or stripes ... In general, only your own imagination can limit you!

To knit a hat with braids you will need:

  • Yarn;
  • Hook;
  • Pompon;
  • Needle.

It is better to take yarn for a hat with the addition of wool. This is to keep her warm.

Hat with crochet braids: a master class with step by step photos

We will start knitting a hat with a sliding loop. In it we will perform the first row, which will consist of eight lush columns.

We will connect the first column with the last. We knit a connecting loop into the top of the column.

At the end of the row we connect.

And so we get V-shaped elements. These elements will make up the braids on the cap. The new row will be a little different. Here we will add regular double crochets.

In the element we knit the same element. That is, two magnificent columns. And in the gap between the first and second such element, we knit one double crochet.

We knit our entire row in this way, alternating V-shaped elements with double crochets.

And then we will make increases in double crochets. We carry out an element in an element from magnificent columns. And for the double crochet we will knit two concave double crochets. That is, we simply insert the hook from behind, bending around the column. And we knit like a simple double crochet.

And so the whole series.

Then in the new row we will also add concave double crochets. We knit the increase for the second column.

In the next row, we will already have three concave double crochets between the elements. And here we knit an increase, that is, two concave columns with a crochet, for the second column.

In the next row we knit already two increases for the second and third loops.

We knit the required depth of the cap. And we tie the bottom with columns without a crochet. We just knit a few rows.

Sew a pompom on top. You can also decorate the hat with rhinestones. The pompom is very important to sew on tightly. You can also do without it.

This is the kind of hat we have!

The variety of patterns and knitting methods is endless. This and simple patterns and complex three-dimensional ornaments. In this master class, we will knit a hat with a voluminous braid pattern.

For knitting we need:

  1. Brown and blue yarn;
  2. Hook;
  3. Scissors.

We collect a chain of VPs, the number of which should be a multiple of 12. We collect 12 VPs each and try on on the head. We connect the ends of the chain. 1 row we knit CCH around the circle.

How to crochet an elastic band

Next, we form 3 PP. Now we knit 1 LRS (front relief column). And 1 more LRS. Next, we will knit 3 IRS (purl embossed columns). And again 3 LRS.

So we will alternate 3 HP and 3 HP until the end of the row.

Now we are knitting an elastic band, so there will be no changes in the new rows. Where we knit LRS in the same way, and where IRS we knit, respectively, IRS. You can knit as many such rows as you like, it depends on the desired height of the gum.

Next, change the color of the thread and knit 1 more exactly the same row.

How to crochet braids

And now we will knit braids. At the beginning of the 2nd row we do not change anything, we knit 3 VP and 2 LRS. But then we will skip 1 IRS and we will knit 1 IRS only in 2 IRS. We'll skip the 3rd one too. That is, out of 3 IRS, we knit 1 only in the middle column. Then again 3 LRS.

Next, we again have purl columns, but now we will not subtract, but add 2 more IRS. In the first we knit 2 IRS, then 1 IRS and in the 3rd column we knit 2 IRS again. Then again 3 LRS. Now again skip the 1st RRS and knit 1 RRS in the 2nd column. 3rd is also skipped. The next row is knitted in the same way.
That is, 3 LRS, 1 RRS, 3 LRS, 5 RRS.

2 row. 3 PP, 2 LRS. Skip 1 HRS and knit again 3 HRS. Next, we knit 7 IRS, adding to the 1st and 5th columns. Then again 6 LRS in a row.

3 row. We don't do PP. We knit 1 sc between the 6th LRS. That is, we count the first 3 LRS and knit 1 RLS.

Next, we knit 3 LRS.

Now we knit 3 LRS back. That is, out of 6 we knitted 4, 5, 6. And now we knit in 1, 2, 3.

Next 7 IRS. Again 1 sc between the 6th LRS. Continue as at the beginning of the row. So we will knit to the end.

4 row. 3 PP. We find LRS, which are behind. We knitted them first, but because of the crosshair from the pigtail, they are hidden behind. We pull them out with our fingers and knit 2 IRS in them. 1 column replace 3 PP. And we knit 1 more CC1N immediately after the 2nd IRS between the columns. And we knit 3 HRs, since then we have HRs. Next come the IRS. There are 7 of them, we need to make 5. We skip columns 1 and 7, and in the rest we knit 1 IRS each. Continue as at the beginning of the row.

5 row. This row is very simple. We knit strictly according to the pattern. Where we knit 1 IRS each, where we knit 1 IRS each.

6 row. It will be exactly the same as the 2nd row was. 3 PP, 2 LRS. Skip 1 HRS and knit again 3 HRS. Next, we knit 7 IRS, adding to the 1st and 5th columns. Then again 6 LRS in a row.

Initial data of my caps:
I knit with yarn 400m/100g and 380m/100g in two strands.
Or you can safely take yarn 200m / 100g in one thread.
Hook 4 mm.
I show two modifications of my hat with "braids" at once.
The difference is in the design of the rubber band. Elastic band with and without lapel are connected by different patterns. I'll explain why. Firstly, I just like both of these matings and I want to alternately repeat one or the other. Secondly, when choosing whether to knit an elastic band with or without a lapel, it must be borne in mind that these two knits fit differently in the product and have different degrees of elasticity.

Please read to the end the calculation of the number of rows in different rubber bands in relation to the number of columns in the main part of the hat before you start knitting, so that the ratio of volumes "cap elastic - cap body" turns out to be necessary and beautiful!

Elastic band without crochet (for the back half-loop).

Single crochet rib gives more elasticity and a thicker structure, as the rows are more "on edge" and more tightly pressed against each other. Such an elastic band will hold a heavy hat on your head well. But I don’t like to bend such an elastic band in two layers precisely because of its volume.
The height of the single crochet corresponds to the thickness of the future column in the main part of the cap. That is, the number of rows in the elastic band can correspond 1: 1 to the number of columns in the circumference of the main part of the cap. Looking ahead, I will say that the number of columns in one row of the main part of the hat with "braids" should be a multiple of 8, and for me it is 88 columns.
That is, the elastic band in this design can be 88 rows, but for some elasticity, I suggest knitting it a little tighter, 84 rows:

1 row - 12 air loops (optional)
2 - 84 rows - 12 sc for the back half loop.
Connect 84 and 1 rows by knitting them together with connecting half-columns.

Elastic band with half-columns with a crochet (for the back half-loop).

This type of elastic gives a more interesting, detailed pattern, which is mistaken by many for knitting. Its degree of elasticity is less than that of the previous version, but the knitting itself is more flexible and flat, so it is more convenient to turn it up, making a hat with a lapel.
The height of the half-columns with a crochet is greater than the width of future columns in the main part of the cap. Therefore, for every two rows of elastic, there are three columns in the "body" of the cap.
Ratio 1:1.5.
For my future hat in 88 columns in a circle, I knitted an elastic band in 58 rows:

1 row - 25 air loops (the elastic band will be twice as wide and when the lapel is bent, it will turn out the same width as that of a single crochet elastic band)
2-58 rows - 25 half-columns with a crochet for the back half-loop.
Connect 58 and 1 rows, knitting them together with connecting half-columns.

The main part of the cap, the technology of the "braid" pattern.

The hat is knitted with embossed crochets with braids.
Each row ends with the last column attached to the first of the same row using a connecting column, and the next row begins with a chain of three lifting air loops. This hat is knitted with strict rows, not in a spiral, so that the level of the braids everywhere coincides in height.

The double crochet is knitted, clinging not to the loop, but to the leg of the column of the previous row. Depending on which side the hook goes around the leg of the column, either a curved (front) column or a concave (wrong) column is obtained. For those who are not at all familiar with this knitting, it will be easier to watch some video tutorials on this topic. It's simple, but as they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times.

For my braid pattern, the number of columns in a row should be a multiple of 8. Since the repetition of the pattern "braid + recess between the braids" = 8 columns.
In my case, the circumference of the cap is 88 columns.

The first row of the hat is knitted with simple double crochets (without relief), clinging to the side surface of the elastic band. As we remember, for elastic with single crochets, the ratio is 1: 1, in the side of each row of elastic we knit 1 double crochet.
If, like me, you knitted 84 rows in elastic instead of 88 for extra elasticity, add 4 columns with a crochet, distributing them discreetly around the perimeter of the cap.
For an elastic band from half-columns with a crochet in the side surface of the elastic band, we knit 3 columns for every 2 rows of elastic bands, getting the output: 58 x 1.5 = 87 columns with a crochet + 1 more column for a multiplicity of 8, we add somewhere.
At the end of the row, we connect the first and last columns with a crochet with a connecting loop and knit 3 air loops lift.

Starting from the second row, we knit embossed double crochets.
Drawing step:
2 purl columns - 6 facial - 2 purl - 6 facial - ... and so on.
The chain of lifting from the air loops during knitting takes the form of a "wrong column". Therefore, the beginning of each subsequent row is:
Lift chain + 1 purl - 6 facial - 2 purl - 6 facial - ... and so on.

In height, the step of the "braid" is 4 rows:
1-3 rows - according to the scheme: 2 purl double crochets - 6 facial double crochets.
4 row - according to the scheme: 2 purl double crochets - 6 front stitches with TWO double crochets and with a cross.
Of the six front columns with two crochets, the first three (in the direction of the hook) are knitted into the last three front columns of the bottom row, and the second three columns are knitted back into the first three of the bottom row.
That is, we knit:
1st front to bottom 4th front
2nd to 5th
3rd to 6th
4th to 1st
5th to 2nd
6th to 3rd
and then purl to the lower purl, in the direction of travel.

Again, there are probably video tutorials on crocheting braids. Someone will have enough of my verbal description, but someone needs to watch the video to understand.

Thus, we must knit up 6 steps of "pigtails" in 4 rows (we get 5 crosses of braids), of which 4 steps are full-sized, and starting from the 5th step, the columns decrease to reduce the circumference of the cap.

Header scheme.
1 row - ch 3 lift + 87 double crochets
2-3 rows - 3 vp lifts + 87 embossed stobics according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C1H.
4 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C2H crossed.
5-7 rows - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C1H.
8 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C2H crossed.
9-11 rows - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C1H.
12 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C2H crossed.
13-15 rows - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C1H.
16 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C2H crossed.
17-19 rows - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 out of C1H - 6 persons of C1H.

20 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 1 out C1H (double two out of the column) - 6 persons C2H crossed.
21 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 1 out of C1H - 4 personsС1Н (double from 6 facial 2+3 and 4+5)
22 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 4 personsС1Н (double 1 out + 1 person)
23 row - ch 3 + according to the scheme: 2 personsС1Н (double in pairs of facial columns)

Finish knitting, tighten the top of the cap with a thread.
Pompom optional. The top of the hat looks quite decent without it!

In total, it turned out 6 steps of "pigtails" in height:
4 full-length steps, at the 5th step in the upper row of the cross, a decrease begins, the 6th all decreases and ends with the crown, without the cross.
The height of the cap can be changed by adding or decreasing the number of vertical steps.

There are 11 braids around the circumference of my hats. Again, by reducing the number of bars in a row or increasing it (depending on the thickness of the yarn), you can get larger braids or many small ones.

I hope my description will help you start crocheting braids and believe that it is beautiful and, certainly, no less interesting than knitting!
