DIY paper hats

DIY paper hats - easy way diversify the masquerade costume. With glue and scissors, you can easily make an original Mexican sombrero, a pirate cocked hat, an elegant top hat or a snowman hat. The famous blue Dunno hat, trimmed with fabric, will make the simplest costume of this fairy-tale hero recognizable. How to make a hat out of cardboard, paper and other additional materials at hand, will tell you the instructions for making each headgear.

Pirate

How to make a paper pirate hat with your own hands. To implement our plans, we need:

  • black paper (1 sheet of A3 format);
  • hat gum;
  • scissors;
  • awl;
  • glue;
  • White paper;
  • black marker or pen.

Instruction:

  1. On black paper, draw a square with sides equal to the length of the short edge of sheet A3. Cut out.
  2. We round the corners, stopping the square into a circle.
  3. Fold the white sheet twice in half (lengthwise).
  4. We make a fringe - we often cut the folded strip across, without touching the bottom edge.
  5. Unfold the sheet, cut along the folds.
  6. We twist the fringe on each white paper strip with scissors or a pencil.
  7. Carefully attaching curly stripes to the black circle, glue them around the entire circumference so that the curved edges of the fringe look up.
  8. On a circle by eye we place (mark) three points equidistant from each other.
  9. From one mark to another, we make three folds, which should form an equilateral triangle.
  10. We bend the semicircular fields of the hat up.
  11. According to the fringe principle, we cut out / make two white feathers, decorate the hat with them (the side curved field of the cocked hat).
  12. For the front of the hat, we cut out a white skull with bones, paint it and glue it on the second curved field.
  13. We pierce holes on the sides of the hat with an awl.
  14. We attach a hat elastic to the cocked hat.
  15. Sombrero

    DIY paper hats are crafts that successfully use other improvised means. To make a Mexican sombrero, we need the following materials:

  • thick red paper (painted paper);
  • plastic flower pot;
  • wrapping paper;
  • decorative cord.

How to make a paper mexican hat With the help of adhesive tape, paints, rulers, scissors, compasses, we proceed to manufacture:

Cylinder

The cylinder is a universal hat. It is suitable for the costume of Dracula, the Snowman, the old woman Shapoklyak. This veiled hat will be a flirty addition to many ladies' masquerade outfits. The main thing is to decide on the height of the crown and the width of the fields, and then create the headdress itself for a particular character. For the cylinder, we need the following materials and tools:

  • whatman;
  • glue;
  • colored fabric (paper);
  • scissors.

Instructions on how to make an elegant paper hat:

  1. We draw a rectangle on the Whatman paper (one side is the height, the second is the circumference of the crown). Cut out.
  2. We glue the pipe by connecting the part along the edges of the height of the rectangle.
  3. We circle the circumference on a new sheet of drawing paper with a tulle.
  4. We circle the resulting circle with another one at a distance equal to the width of the fields of the future cylinder.
  5. We circle a small hole from the inside, stepping back from the contour of the circle one and a half centimeters.
  6. Cut out this little circle.
  7. From its edge to the drawn line of the inner circle, we make notches and bend the paper along the drawn contour.
  8. Again we draw a circle around the circle on a new sheet of whatman paper.
  9. We cut the part along the contour, stepping back about one and a half centimeters for notches - this is the top of the crown.
  10. We make cuts with scissors and bend the paper along the drawn contour.
  11. We glue the tulle-pipe with a round top.
  12. We glue the fields to the cylinder (we apply notches from the inside of the cone).
  13. We glue the hat with colored paper or cloth.
  14. We decorate at will (brooches, feathers, veil, ribbons, etc.).

For the snowman

A paper hat for a Snowman costume is the easiest version of a masquerade hat if you make a cap. The original will be a light hat made of corrugated paper- crooked and crumpled cylinder. How to make this version of the headdress, we already know. Let's try to make a cap. To make it, we need:

  • whatman:
  • paints with brushes;
  • colored paper;
  • glue;
  • hat gum;
  • scissors.
  1. We draw a circle on the Whatman paper, the radius of which is equal to the height of the cap.
  2. We measure the volume of the head of the future Snowman.
  3. We measure this number of centimeters along the length of the drawn circle.
  4. We put marks - in the center of the circle, the beginning and end of the measured line (head volume).
  5. From the marks on the circle to the center of the circle we draw two lines.
  6. Cut out the resulting sector.
  7. We turn the cone.
  8. We glue it or fasten it with a stapler.
  9. We paint with paints or glue our hat for the Snowman with colored paper.
  10. We attach a hat elastic to it.

From the master class you will learn how to make a decorative hat out of cardboard with your own hands.

We will need:

Cardboard roll from toilet paper;
cardboard;
tulle;
any lightweight fabric;
glue gun;
compass;
White paper;
satin ribbon;
beads;
scissors;
thread with a needle.

We cut off a piece 5 cm long from a cardboard roll. We circle its circumference on cardboard and cut it out. For the fields of the hat, we draw and cut out a circle with a diameter of 5 cm.

We apply hot glue to the edge of the cylinder and attach a circle to it in size.

In order for the hat to be beautiful and neat, it is necessary to seal all the outer walls with white, otherwise the gray cardboard will shine through the fabric. Therefore, first we glue the bottom, fixing the allowances on the side walls, and then we wrap the entire part around the circumference. We leave allowances only at the top and glue them inside. In the same way, we glue a large circle on both sides with white paper.

Now we cut out two circles with a diameter of 20 cm from the fabric and one circle from tulle. All blanks must be ironed.

Now we retreat from the edge of the fabric 1.5 cm and start assembling with a simple seam. Then we tighten the fabric, after putting a large circle of cardboard in the center.

We put the cylindrical blank on the remaining circle with the closed part down exactly in the middle. Forming folds, glue the allowances inside. In the same way we paste over the cylinder with tulle.

We apply glue along the edge of the cylinder and fasten it in the center of the circle, thereby hiding the fabric screed inside. It is necessary to fix the cylinder for a few seconds.

Decorate with satin ribbon and beads.

It is very easy to make a decorative hat out of cardboard with your own hands.

A cardboard hat is a wonderful kind of needlework, and a great way to set up a real home theater. Top hat in the style of the Mad Hatter, boyish cap, wide-brimmed summer hat- each craft will help in creating an unforgettable image.

Read and find out for yourself!

In order for our headdress to please the owner, you need to start with the main thing: take measurements from the child's head using flexible wire. Then we draw a wire circle on cardboard and in the future we work with this pattern as a base for future crafts.

A little more about our exercises:

  1. FIRST, WE WILL PLEASE THE LADIES

    We make a cardboard rectangle along the length of the small circle and fold it into a circle, which we fasten with hot glue. The folds on the cardboard should be perpendicular to the cut line - so the design will have greater rigidity.

    It's time for the top...

    …and wide margins. The glue gun works wonders!

  2. TO BE A CAREFREE BOY IS EVERYONE'S DREAM
    It's the turn of the cap. We put our base circle on a sheet of cardboard and circle it - we have an inner bend for the visor.

    We complement the inner bend with the outer one - we do it slowly and slowly so that the curves are elegant and neat.

    We have two alternatives: we either make a rectangle (as in the previous case), or, if we want the back to be narrow and the front to be wide, we cut out a long cardboard strip with a hump in the middle.

    We glue all the parts together with hot glue - and let's go chase the pigeons!

  3. CYLINDER IS A FINE MATTER
    Our cylinder is not as simple as it might seem at first glance: its base is noticeably narrower than the upper circle. We put our small circle on a sheet of material, and circle it with a larger circle. both closed curves - you will need a curvimeter for this, but you can get by with an ordinary watch. You need to do it this way - set the clock exactly at 12:00, attach the wheel in the retracted state to the line and draw along its entire length. Count how many minutes on the dial correspond to the length of the line and write this number down. Now again we put the arrows at noon and draw the wheel along the usual thirty-centimeter ruler. We count the minutes, make up the proportion - the desired value is found.

    It's time for complexity. We draw a figure on a durable sheet, as shown in the figure.
    Its upper arc should correspond to the length of the top of the cylinder, the lower one to the opening for the head, and straight lines should go at right angles to both arcs. And again, we advise you not to rush and be calm - patience and work will grind everything.

    We cut out all three, glue them together with a glue gun - we almost mastered a new craft!

DECORATE HEADWEAR

Drawings, inscriptions and colors of national flags - we attract any ideas!

Don't be afraid to be bold - if one craft doesn't work out very well, you can always correct your flaws in the next work.

We wish you happy creativity! A cardboard hat is the first step towards high fashion!

DIY cardboard hat

The hat has been considered a popular headwear for several centuries.
On this moment there are approximately twenty types of hats that can
worn by both women and men. For women, a hat is not only a means of protection from
rain, snow, wind and sun, but stylish accessory that will complement any image. IN
this article you will learn how nice hat from cardboard for a doll or for a theme party.

Materials for making a hat from cardboard with your own hands:

- three sheets of cardboard;
- a piece of fabric with a pattern;
decorative ribbons;
- decorative lace;
- an elastic band for money;
- beads or flowers;
- thermal gun;
- glue;
- foam rubber;
- threads;
- a needle;
- scissors;
- pencil.

Hat making master class

1. From two sheets of cardboard we cut out two identical bases for a hat, with a diameter
about ten centimeters. These will be the basics of the fields.
2. From the remaining sheet of cardboard, cut out a strip five centimeters high, and
twist it into a circle with a diameter of five centimeters. It turned out to be a crown (part,
that covers the head).

3. Now attaches the crown to one of the bases so that the fields in front are
more than the back and circle with a pencil. We smear the edge of the crown with a thermal gun and
glue along the drawn contour.
4. We fill the crown with foam rubber so that it rises a little above it.
5. We wrap the hat with a piece of the selected fabric and fix the fabric with an elastic band
the borders of the crown and fields. The resulting folds are beautifully distributed.

6. Now you need to cut off the excess fabric. We leave five millimeters from the brim of the hat,
cut off the fabric, and then bend it inward and glue it with a thermal gun to
basis.
7. To complete the look of the hat, glue the second base, hiding the edges
cut fabric.

8. Decorate with ribbons, beads and flowers. All this is glued with
thermal gun.

Included in most carnival costumes Appropriate headgear must be included. Judge for yourself - the outfit of a musketeer or Puss in Boots will be incomplete without a wide-brimmed hat with a feather, and the attire of an Indian raja is unthinkable without a silk turban adorned with a "ruby" agraph. It is not necessary to purchase a hat suitable for the chosen image in a specialized store - a homemade paper hat can be an excellent alternative to an expensive purchased accessory.

To make this hat you will need:

  • large sheets of thick and thin colored cardboard;
  • glue stick;
  • scissors;
  • compasses, simple pencil, centimeter;
  • organza ribbon 2 cm wide - 1.5 m;
  • satin rosette and 1 m of satin ribbon 5 cm wide, the same color as the flower.

Operating procedure

1. To make the hat fit the child, measure the size of his head around the circumference. Let's say that its size is 54 cm. By dividing this value by 6.28 (54: 6.28 = 8.5), you will find out the radius of the inner hole of the future hat. Take a sheet of colored cardboard and draw a circle with a radius of 8.5 cm on its wrong side with a compass. Without removing the needle of the compass from the paper, increase the radius of its raster by 10-16 cm (this will be the width of the margins of the headdress) and draw a second, concentric first circle .

2. Cut out a large circle from cardboard, carefully remove a small circle from its middle and set it aside - it will still be useful to you for making a hat bottom.

3. To make the hat fields look down, make a radial cut on the cardboard “donut”, grease one of its edges with an adhesive pencil, and with an overlap, connect the cut edges of the hat fields into a single whole.

4. To make the crown, cut out a cardboard rectangle 55 cm long and 16-20 cm high.

5. Cut both long edges of the paper strip into square cloves.

6. Glue the cardboard tape into the pipe, bend the teeth from one end of it outward, from the other - bend it inward.

7. Lubricate the teeth bent outward with glue.

8. From the wrong side, insert a semi-finished tulle into the fields of the hat and firmly press the fixing teeth to the cardboard.

9. Glue the bottom of the hat to the top end of the crown in the same way.

10. Wrap the top and bottom of the crown with 2-3 turns of organza ribbon. Carefully cut off the excess, fix the tip with a drop of glue.

11. satin ribbon tie in a curvy beautiful bow. Cut the ends of the ribbon with "snake tongues".

12. Attach the bow to the hat.

13. Glue a satin rose onto the bow knot.
