How to make a Kate Middleton Stealth Bundle. Kate Middleton set a new trend in beauty

Honey red is clearly in trend today (The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, London, October 2017)

There is no need to argue with the fact that Kate Middleton was lucky with her hair - her curls are too voluminous, elastic, shiny, beautiful and somehow even indecently luxurious in public. Kate's haircut does not change from year to year (only during the Polish-German tour of 2017 she surprised everyone radically ─ for her! ─ short length), and the hair color keeps plus or minus at the same level (in the language of professionals ─ it is 6 and 7 on the scale of natural shades). As far as we know the duchess, she does not go far from her native roots, only occasionally experimenting with tint coloring and highlighting. Surprised?

December 2011

July 2017

Together with Alexander Bondarenko, top stylist and colorist of the Domenico Castello beauty salon, we are ready to confirm these facts, prove them and name the probable shades of coloring (if you want to look exactly the same).

2005 year

At the very beginning of Kate's "public" journey, light highlighting is read on her hair. The first impression when you see this fresh example of the early girl period is very natural color(we can assume that the hair is not dyed, but let's be realistic ─ this is unlikely). Confirmation: note the light strand on the right side of the parting, which is not immediately evident due to the sunlight and, in general, a very natural hairstyle. Much more successful than the hair color here is a haircut with soft graduation ─ a very good experiment with the image. It gives volume fine hair(for Katherine this is not a problem, but nevertheless!): Due to graduation, long strands are at the bottom, and shorter ones visually “raise” them. The hairstyle shows the first signs of the future branded “duchess styling”: curls elongated along the length with twisted tips.

2006

Kate's hair in the pre-engagement period is perfectly calm. Even if they were tinted, the color looks uniform and natural. There are not only signs of highlighting, adding light tones and strands, but even a hint of chemistry. Turning the conversation into a professional area, let's say that in the category of paints it is a shade of "mocha" or "chocolate" (Katherine, in our opinion, it was very fitting).

2007

The hair color has become a little lighter, but it is still very natural. The lightening was most likely very light: the base (and in this case the roots that remained under the hat) is slightly darker than the main length and gradually fades to a lighter shade at the tips. Stylists call this coloring technique “The Kiss of the Sun”: the hair looks like it has been burned out in the sun, And yes, for brown-haired women this option is by no means prohibited.

2010

"Engagement" wax figure of Kate in London's Madame Tussauds: they tried to recreate the shade of the hair.

Kate on the day she announced her engagement to Prince William (November 2010)

The year of Miss Middleton's entry into the circle of the British royal family, as expected, meant beauty changes. It is obvious that her hair is dyed: Kate “darkened” at once, and began to look both brighter and older (from which, in the new status, she more likely won than lost). Hair color is not uniform and not flat, but voluminous due to light overflows of light and color highlights. Most likely, the royal stylists applied one of the balayage techniques to her head ─ lightening her hair outdoors, without foil. Kate's color here is close to the shades of "sun tea" and "Moroccan sand".

A little later, as preparations were made for the wedding, Kate's hair became lighter, light strands appeared on her face again. Most likely, the stylists again tried the “shatush” or “kiss of the sun” coloring (both ─ balayage techniques), and it turned out very beautifully, and most importantly, naturally. As for the color, it is a very popular shade of “brandy” or “bitter chocolate” among brown-haired women.

IN wedding image everything is strictly concise due to the hair removed under the veil. By the way, the styling, according to stylists, is not the most successful ─ the curls are so curled that they resemble bundles, and any unfortunate position of the strands causes extraneous associations.

year 2012

2012 was the year of the first pregnancy of the duchess, and at the same time she allowed herself the first indulgence. The photo clearly shows an indentation from the roots of about two centimeters, as if 2-3 weeks have passed since the staining, the color washed out and not the most inspiring lightening tone remained (perhaps it was). We remember the hair color of this period as warm with a light redhead. It is impossible not to note the bangs that Kate began to wear. She chose an elongated version that is comfortable to wear, which can be removed behind the ear so that the bangs do not interfere and at the same time beautifully complement her image if desired (such bangs can be stylishly “taken away” from the face with such curtains). Universal: open your face if you want, hide it if you want. Plus, the elongated bangs give the look an extra charm. And this year, Kate, during a joint tour with Prince William to Malaysia, showed how her hair would look in a curly version.

year 2013

February

November

After the birth of Prince George, Kate's bangs grew back, and her hair color moved into the category of a calm redhead. Light highlights are clearly visible on the strands (due to such textured coloring, the hairstyle looks more voluminous and interesting, and the color is multidimensional). By the way, stylists urge to remember that the shade looks different at different times (in the morning and in the evening, on a clean head and not very fresh hair) and even depends on the styling (it is voluminous or not).

2014/2015

Another clear evidence that Kate at the beginning of pregnancy (in this case, Charlotte) tries to actively maintain color, but does not always cope with it. Expectant mothers are not forbidden to paint if the dyes do not get on the scalp, and the ideal techniques in this case are those that work with the length of the hair, and not with the roots (for example, shatush or “kiss of the sun”). At the roots during pregnancy, color can also be successfully preserved if you dye your hair with henna. But here you need to keep in mind a nuance: henna does not give cold shades, but with its help you can choose very beautiful warm tones, achieve volume and chic shine.

The fact that henna is only red or red shades is a myth. Today in salons, by mixing different types of henna, you can get a rich palette. brown shades─ from light golden to chocolate.

As the duchess "advance" to childbirth, her hair color tends to naturalness. Do you also get the feeling that Kate is not colored at all? One can only assume that after she found out about her interesting position, then abandoned the "chemistry", and the previous color was thoroughly washed away.

The birth of Charlotte was symbolically marked, among other things, by the reappearance of Kate's bangs (moreover, much shorter than before). The hair color is also changing: apparently from the maternity hospital, Katherine immediately went to do shatush ─ bright strands are also visible, and in general it is darker than her usual chocolate (but not much) shade of the main mass of hair. Classic styling is again in favorites ─ elongated length-twisted tips.

Leading stylist at Brush Salon:

“In styling, like Kate Middleton, one of the leading roles is played by the quality of the hair. Therefore, before you start creating curls, and there is nothing complicated here, take care of your hair. Use moisturizers or nourishing masks- then the hair will look better.

Step No. 1

Start preparing for styling, you should still in the shower. Wash your scalp twice with a volumizing and thickening shampoo. Then, on towel-wrapped hair (along the entire length, without going to the roots), apply special care. Keep it on for a couple of minutes and rinse off.

Step #2

Before drying, apply a styling agent. It can be mousse, spray, cream or jelly - it all depends on your preference for fixation. If the tool combines, for example, thermal protection and gives volume, then it will be just fine. Apply it along the entire length, including the roots, and start blow-drying your hair. In order to avoid unnecessary manipulations with combs, I advise you to dry your hair upside down. In this position, it is easiest to achieve natural volume, and this reduces styling time. It is better to dry on medium speed and medium temperature so as not to bloat the hair much. At this stage, it is important for us to completely dry the hair roots. The length should remain slightly damp, approximately 80% dry.

Step #3

When the hair is almost dry, you can proceed to the main styling. Divide the hair into small sections and start pulling the strands away from the face, scrolling the round brush (brushing) a little, paying special attention to the ends. Important: at this stage, the temperature of the hair dryer should be maximum. While the strand is hot, wind it around your finger and secure it at the base with a clip or invisible (this should visually look like large curlers). Thus, go all over the head. After you have secured the last strand, do not touch the hair for 5-10 minutes until it cools down.

Step #4

Then you can disassemble the resulting structure. Remove the clips from your hair and fluff the strands with your hands. Apply a drop of serum or oil to the ends to remove frizz. Then comb your hair gently. If there is not enough basal volume, add it with a special spray (mineral powder or dry shampoo). If desired, you can lightly fix the styling with varnish by spraying it at a sufficient distance from the head (20 cm).

Dear ones, we are extremely pleased that the column "Alex Contier recommends" is popular. There are a lot of letters every day, and that's great! (The last issue - if someone missed it - see, the rest can be found by typing the name "Alex Contier" into the blog search engine.) Just in case, we immediately inform you: this is an ongoing project. Anyone who wants to get advice from a hairdresser who Milla Jovovich trusts, just send me an email [email protected] a letter with photos (preferably several), a story about yourself and a clearly formulated question. And - be patient. Sooner or later, your head will be dismantled bone by bone :)

Today, for example, Luba Morzharetto was lucky.

Luba writes about herself:

About the haircut:
I'm 23. For as long as I can remember, I always wore long hair - not counting the forced bob haircut in childhood, after which I purposefully grew the length. I am feminine by nature and I am comfortable with long hair. I like bob haircuts, but I think I will come to them somewhere after 35 - when long hair will be worn, in my opinion, not comme il faut. I tried to change my hair different kind bangs - but the straight line categorically doesn’t suit me, the oblique one got tired at the time, I don’t like it at all.

About color:
I am a natural blonde. By the age of 14, my hair had darkened a little, I considered that light blond was the wrong way, and I began to do highlighting and toning.

At the age of 20, a broken heart and a general dramatic mood demanded drastic changes. Out of caution, I first dyed my hair blond, spent two weeks with it - and dyed it dark.

Gradually, due to a dislike for undertones (light-haired means a seductive blonde; dark-haired means a burning brunette; intermediate options are not considered), I came to a completely dark hair color. I don’t like radical black, and even more so blue-black - in my opinion, it looks cheap. But as a result of the last painting, the color turned out to be quite dark, and now I am trying to gradually get out of it. I like to be a brunette, I don’t want to go back to the light one at all.

About styling:
I'm not ready to spend an hour every morning on this business, especially considering some of my curvature. Therefore, quite often I go with tails, braids, bundles, plaits, etc. I have straight (well, slightly wavy) hair. If I want to go loose, I just dry on a round brush, using some hair oil, and slightly twist the ends in or out with the brush, and then spray the whole thing with varnish. I really like curls - the looser and bigger the better (perfect - Blake Lively as Serena in the first seasons of Gossip Girl), but I can't wind them every day. Moreover, only styling made on tongs with a high heating temperature is holding on to me.

My wishes:
The main problem is volume. It does not exist, and I have not learned how to artificially create it. And in general, I would like to somehow revive the hairstyle and give up boringly hanging straight hair, also of a uniform black color. But in order to still remain long and dark-haired 🙂 And now I seem to want to change something, but I don’t know what and how.

“Really, you better be a brunette! Dark color favorably emphasizes the beauty of the beautiful bright eyes, and the image as a whole is more "sexy". But I'm not at all sure about the homogeneous and radical dark. It is worth trying to add highlights and lighter nuances to this color. The most correct thing is to color with the “shatush” technique in a slightly lighter shade (the difference between dark and light should be no more than 1-2 tones), and then tint the entire head with a shade of 5.31 (this is a single classification for dyes of all brands, so that if you tell the master these numbers, he will understand what it is about). As an example, I offer you the image of Kate Middleton - she is quite a “concrete” brunette, but the hair color is not uniform, but lively:

In order to create volume, first of all, you need to make a haircut with graduation elements, without changing the overall length of the hair. And then at home use shampoo and conditioner for volume on straight hair. In your case, I recommend the products of the American brand Aloxxi - according to my observations, they really work. American Allure in 2012 even gave them the Best of Beauty award in this category.

Next, for styling, try Kerastase Volume Gel. An excellent tool, recently released - does not weigh down the hair at all, is economically consumed, lifts the hair well at the roots and along the entire length.

And to make sloppy curls on your hair (and most importantly, to keep the styling for a long time!), I know only one styler, Miracle Curl Babyliss. Steampod is not an option in your case - it works at a temperature of 170 and will “overmoisturize” the hair, and, therefore, goodbye to volume. And you have such a structure of hair that curls obtained with the help of "sparing" temperatures will not last long. You need a device that works on high temperatures- and at the same time did not douse the hair with steam.

Name Duchess of Cambridge does not leave the newspaper pages. After each appearance in public, numerous fans sweep away outfits like Kate from the shelves, and fashion critics analyze each image in detail.

It is no secret that a whole team of professionals is working on the image of the royal person, a special place among which is occupied by her favorite stylist. Thanks to the talents of Amanda Cook Tucker, Kate's hairstyle always looks great and does not cause criticism. Moreover, Middleton even took her with her on a tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The editors of the site chose the most famous styling of the Duchess of Cambridge, and stylist Maryana Grigorievskaya told how you can repeat them at home.

Everyday styling

Most often, for daytime formal events, Kate chooses a simple styling: loose hair, styled in light waves or loose natural curls. For example, with such styling, the duchess recently with members of the Family Friends charity foundation.

Stylist comment:

“This is a very easy styling- P great choice for every day. Basal volume and slightly twisted ends. The easiest way to do it is with a hair dryer and brushing comb. Raise the comb when drying the roots and slightly wind the ends onto it» .

During a visit to the USA to visit the center child development in Harlem, Katherine opted for a slightly more complicated everyday styling option- very stylish and original" malvinka " .

Stylist comment:

We twist the hair with tongs or an iron. Highlight at the crown central part and lightly comb it. We fix it with invisibility in the center of the back of the head. Then, one by one, we take the strands that are near the face, take them back and fix them on top of each other with invisible ones (we try to hide the invisible ones under the hair). If desired, these strands can be pinned not straight, but twisted with flagella. Such a hairstyle, with all the simplicity of execution, will never go unnoticed.

Ponytail

In December last year, the couple made an official visit to the United States and. Rainy weather in winter New York can ruin any hairstyle. But Middleton's stylists found a way out: so that her hair would not curl due to humidity, Kate made a high ponytail - with loose classic "ponytail" on the back of the head.

Angelina Komarova: I have been working in my field for 10 years, I also teach, I studied with the best stylists in France (Claude Juillard, Letitcia Genau, etc.), I work closely with the Loreal Profesional Academy and I know everything about hair: how to take care of it, how to choose a hairstyle and hair color, what coloring and image trends are relevant today.

Healthy and well-groomed hair reflects the state of our organisms as a whole. When you look at Kate Middleton's hair, the first thing that comes to mind is that it's perfect. Everyone dreams of perfect hair.

Apart from healthy lifestyle life and properly selected hair care, an important role is played by cutting and coloring.

Hair color Kate Middleton: what is the secret of harmony?

Middleton's hairstyle always looks simple, but at the same time stylish and well-groomed. The secret of the beauty of her curls, first of all, lies in the shade perfectly matched to the color of the eyes and skin: the iris of the eye almost perfectly matches the color of the hair, and the skin is in perfect harmony with the warm highlights on the hair. It is warm highlights on a more natural and cold shade of hair that give relief, add volume, and also, with direct light, visually create even more shine. Thanks to the natural and cold color base, the shade of Kate's hair looks natural and does not give off a “redhead”.

Haircut Kate Middleton: easy graduation and bangs

Duchess Catherine's haircut has its own subtleties. On such thick hair, for example, you should definitely do a light graduation along the contour of the haircut in order to more evenly distribute the volume. The length is also important. Today, to be stylish, you should not grow your hair too long, but long bangs performs two functions at once: firstly, it helps to more evenly distribute the volume of the hairstyle, and secondly, it plays the role of an accessory, which is especially important on fully collected hair.

What is the secret of Duchess Kate's styling?

Always well-groomed hair, a styling silhouette that fits the oval of the face, and, of course, a hair style that always goes well with the outfit - these are the secrets of Kate Middleton's always flawless hairstyle.

Curls. Her curls are always very large and soft. You will never see inappropriate curls on Kate. Such waves can be created using a round comb or a very thick curling iron.

Volume at the back of the head. In almost all Kate's styling, we see volume at the back of the head. This trick not only helps to more evenly distribute the volume on the head, but also brings your profile closer to the ideal. Smooth hair is still a little twisted at the ends, and this makes the image more feminine, and the ends look well-groomed.

Her styling looks stylish and neat. The hair is smooth, but not "sleek" to the head. The beam at the back may have a different pattern. And, of course, in order for the styling to look harmonious in profile, it is especially important to create volume at the back of the head on collected hair.

Shine. In the arsenal of your care products, you should definitely have hair shine. Just look how the hair shines Duchess of Cambridge! Believe me, when proper care your hair can look just as luxurious!
