  4. Now you need to draw the sleeves. We lay off the length from the back, taking into account the increase in the hem.
  5. Cut out the neck.
  6. Build a hood pattern in the form of a rectangle, then round the top corner.

If you are not sure, then it is better to build on paper or oilcloth, try on, and then transfer to fabric. Stitch seams, process, hem. It remains to determine what to make fasteners from. Cape transformer- this is the thing that should be in the wardrobe of every woman who keeps up with the times! This piece is as practical as it is simple in cut.

No doubt, everyone can sew it in a maximum of 3 hours. Well, if you ever held a thread with a needle in your hands, then everything will happen much faster.

Cape pattern

Depending on what time of the year and with what you will wear a cape, the material and diameter of the cape is determined. Medium weight fabric with a content of 50% wool and 50% polyester would be the best option. For size 42-46 with a height of 170 cm, you will need a cut of 155 x 140 centimeters.

Here's what the pattern should look like. Before cutting, the fabric should be carefully ironed.

Cutting will be more convenient if you fold the pattern and fabric in half.

Actually everything! If you have a fabric that does not crumble along the cuts, then overcasting the edges is not needed. If the processing of the cut cannot be avoided, and there is no overlock on the farm, then the edges can be bent or edged with something.

It's up to the small thing - to come up with what will be as a belt at the waist. You can cut a wide strip from the same fabric and, folding it in half, sew a belt, or you can pick up some kind of leather wide belt that contrasts in color.

As soon as they do not wear a cape transformer, just look!

: looks great on any figure! To increase or decrease the size, you can slightly change the pattern by reducing or increasing the diameter of the circle itself and the diameter of the armholes.

Your friends will be crazy about this cape, share this article with them!

A cape with a hood, or a poncho cloak with sleeves are models that, in Lately are very popular. It is especially convenient to wear capes in the cold season: in winter and autumn. A long and warm poncho raincoat with sleeves will warm you in cold weather, and will also look spectacular on a woman of any age and any build.

Patterns of such models are presented in abundance on the Internet and specialized literature. Usually, the patterns of a cape with a hood are very simple. Sew on these patterns and then sew finished parts put together is no problem either.

Capes with a hood can be not only an element of clothing that covers the shoulders, like a cape - they are useful for carnival costume for a girl for the New Year's carnival or a women's witch's mantle for Halloween. Can be used as a model of a raincoat for a child. In a word, there are a lot of applications for them.

To make a pattern of a cape with a hood with your own hands, and then sew the finished product yourself, you must first prepare everything you need for work. For making a cape with a hood or a poncho cape with sleeves, you will need:

  • Tape measure. It is necessary to take measurements. If a beginner needlewoman decided to make a cape with a hood for herself, it would be more convenient to ask someone else to take measurements. Attention: when transferring the pattern of the desired size to the fabric, it is necessary to take into account the allowances for the seams!
  • A pen to write down all the dimensions of the main parts of the model.
  • Ready-made pattern of a raincoat with a hood. It is desirable that the pattern is accompanied by a photograph of the finished poncho and detailed description models.
  • Special paper for pattern tracing paper for transferring patterns to paper, in accordance with the required dimensions.
  • A piece of chalk to transfer the pattern to the fabric.
  • Material for making a poncho with a hood with your own hands.
  • Thread and needle to make a preliminary basting.
  • A sewing machine for sewing individual parts of a poncho and then sewing them together. You need to sew the finished poncho fragments very carefully and carefully, referring to the pattern, description and photo.

Having prepared everything you need, you can get to work. Do-it-yourself work on making a cape with a hood consists of several stages.

  • Taking measurements.
  • Transferring the pattern to paper and then to fabric, in accordance with the estimated dimensions of the model.
  • Production of separate fragments of a poncho with sleeves. First, all the details must be swept away, then sewn on a sewing machine.
  • The final and most important stage of work is to stitch the finished fragments into a single whole.

Making a poncho with your own hands is not difficult, the main thing is attentiveness and a little patience. But the model, made by hand, will definitely be original and stylish.

Poncho with sleeves

Poncho as a piece of clothing consists of several fragments. The main part of the poncho includes the front, back and neck. Two sleeves are sewn into the main part. The finished model can be decorated in various ways: you can sew on tassels, pompoms, decorative fringe around the perimeter of the model.

Work on sewing a poncho begins with the manufacture of the main part - the front and back. The next stage is the manufacture of sleeves. Then you need to start processing the neck. And finally, you need to sew on the sleeves. There are also sleeveless poncho models, but they are usually designed to be worn exclusively in summer period and perform mainly a decorative function. If the clothes were originally designed to be worn in cold weather, a model with sleeves seems to be more practical and functional.

For the autumn or winter version of the cape It is recommended to take a denser fabric, preferably waterproof. You can also treat the fabric for making a poncho with a special water-repellent impregnation.

For summer and spring models you can take a thinner fabric. The length of the poncho can be any, but it must be borne in mind that the longer the finished model, the better it protects from the cold. The shape of the hood also depends on the tastes and preferences of the beginner needlewoman. The hood can be made detachable. In this case, to fix it, you must use a zipper.

Pattern of a poncho with a hood and sewing a model: useful recommendations

In order for the cape with a hood to turn out as stylish as in the photographs, you need to consider the following practical recommendations:

Poncho raincoat with hood and long sleeves, will never go out of fashion. The popularity of this model outerwear due to the fact that the poncho protects well from wind and cold, is very comfortable to wear and suits women with any figure. With sewing capes on finished pattern Even a novice craftswoman can easily handle it. The main thing is attention and patience, and then everything will work out.

Such a costume can be sewn in just a couple of hours. Even those who have never sewed can cope with this, and they are not going to sew in the future =)

The main details of such a suit are:
- cape (mantle)
- takes

For them we need:
- fabric (preferably velvet). I found my fabric in an old chest. It used to be a bedspread.
- fur (artificial or real) or something that imitates / replaces fur
- an elastic band (ordinary, which we insert into shorts)
- satin ribbon
- piece of lace
- button (or button)
- beads and glass beads for decoration

BERET

Beret is circle.
Cut out an ordinary circle from the fabric. The diameter depends on the size of the child's head. How more head, the larger the diameter of the circle should be.
In my case, the diameter was 45 cm (including a hem allowance of 2 cm).

But since we are dealing not just with mathematics, but with cutting, then we must add a hem allowance of 1.5-2 cm to the result obtained D.
We will need this allowance to insert the elastic.

However, I didn't use the formula. I drew everything by eye =)

For a beret, it is better to take a dense fabric, because. She keeps her shape better.

So, cut out a circle from the fabric (by eye or according to the formula).
Then we turn the edge of the circle inside out so that later we can insert an elastic band (about 1.5 -2 cm) and hem it.

We cut off a piece of gum, taking into account the size of the head, and insert it into our circle with a safety pin. Like panties.

Beret is ready! Now let's decorate it.

Anything is suitable for decoration. I chose fur. It just happened to be a small piece.
In addition, the fur always looks impressive.

We just sew our fur or something that imitates fur, or other decoration to the beret.

CAPE (MANTLE)

And again we will draw a circle, or rather a semicircle.

Cut out on fabric semicircle using the following metrics:

AA1 = length of the cape (mantle). Any length we want is chosen.

AA2 \u003d OSH / 3.14
where OSh is the circumference of the neck; and 3.14 is again the number "Pi".
In a word, the same formula came in handy as for the beret, only the designations for the scheme were taken by others.

Now we hem the bottom and sides of the cape.
You can use bias tape for this. Or sew on the edges of the braid.

We turn the neck wide satin ribbon.
We choose the length of the ribbon so that the edges of the ribbon can be used as a tie so that the cape does not fall off the shoulders.

If desired, the cape (mantle) can be decorated, for example, with beads.
I decided to use beads to embroider a small crown on the cape.

COLLAR

We take a wide cut of lace.

On the one hand, we collect lace on a thread and slightly tighten it to make an assembly and fit the size of the child's neck, but keep it loose around the neck.

We sew an oblique trim to this place, thereby securing our assembly.

Sew on a button (to fasten). Top can be decorated with glass beads or a decorative button.
You can, of course, make a button as a fastener.
I gave up the button because I didn't want to mess with the eyelet.

Actually everything!
We put on a costume for a child and admire him =)

This costume can be added sword.
Toy swords are sold in stores. Dad made our sword out of wood.

Really, just? And what an effect!

In addition, this costume gives room for imagination.
We sew stars on the mantle, replace the beret with a cone-shaped cap - and we get a wizard.

We replace the beret with a crown, and we make the mantle from light airy fabric - and we get a fairy costume for a girl.

In general, there is something to do on New Year's Eve =)

Does your little one love cartoon cold heart? If yes, then why not please her with an Elsa or Anna style cape. Half an hour of work will give your girl happiness for the whole day.

A simple cape for a girl in haste

If you have very little time to make an Elsa-style cape for a girl, this option is what you need. In principle, you don’t have to be too smart with the shape, just cut out an even rectangle from some transparent fabric (process the edges in accordance with your material). From above, stepping back 2-3 cm, lay one or two lines with threads in color (loosen the tension of the upper thread as much as possible). Now we evenly gather the fabric (just tighten the two threads to the desired number of folds).

Over the resulting folds, carefully sew beautiful ribbon. Take a longer ribbon to tie a beautiful bow.

Fortunately, in our time, the range of fabrics is pleasantly pleasing, however, as is the variety of ribbons and rhinestones. Therefore, I think you can easily create a dream cape for your girl.

By the way, Anna's cloak can be sewn in this way. Just cut a rectangle of greater length from the fabric, and step back 20-30 cm from above. The work flow is the same.

It turns out a beautiful cloak for Anna.

Another fast option make Elsa's cape: just hem the top, as shown in the photo below. Insert the tape so that it does not slip out, flash it in a couple of places (photo No. 5). Then you can give your daughter an almost finished raincoat and a bunch of different beads and snowflakes - let her decorate it for her own pleasure.

And you can make a raincoat neat round shape, pay attention, the fastener was made with Velcro.

Additional decor in the form of cute snowflakes made of fabric or paper and your princess will be happy.

It is even better to cut out stencils of snowflakes from paper and give them to the child along with paints or glitter. Believe me, your daughter will have a lot of fun painting her Elsa cape.

You can sew more serious snowflakes to the raincoat.

Beautiful raincoat with a hood with your own hands

Anna's cloak with a hood is just a dream of a young fashionista. It looks much more spectacular than the previous options, but it will also take more effort on your part. Although in general, anyone can sew Anna's cloak with a hood. The diagram below shows a mini instruction plus the parts you will need. Please note that the hood is sewn to a gathered train with a collar.

Sew ribbons around the edges for ties.

And, of course, a beautiful button in the front does not hurt.

Problems with the pattern of the raincoat? Here's a mega simplified version for you - just cut out a neat semicircle. You can transform it a little - stretching it in the middle.
