The beauty of the surrounding nature in winter is hard to overestimate. Sparkling snow on the trees literally fascinates with its charm. No wonder poets and writers have devoted so many words to winter decoration.

Snow flies and sparkles
In the golden light of the day.
Like fluff
All valleys and fields...
Everything in nature freezes:
And the fields, and the dark forest.
Snow flies and sparkles
Silently falling from the sky. (S. D. Drozhzhin)

The embodiment of dreams
Life with a dream is a game
This world of charms
This world of silver! (V.Ya. Bryusov. "Winter")

Materials and tools:
Flower pot.
Balloon, white yarn with lurex, scissors, green felt.
Stick for the trunk (I have it ready).
Glue PVA-M, glue gun.
Retaining base-gypsum.
Decorative elements: artificial snow, confetti snowflakes, snowman, rowan berries.

Leaf pattern.

We breed gypsum of a thick consistency, pour it into a pot. Insert the stem. While the mass is not frozen, sprinkle with artificial snow.

We fix the snowman.

We wrap the balloon with threads dipped in PVA glue. Since the threads are dense, for better impregnation, the glue was slightly diluted with water (1 part water, 2 parts glue).

When the threads are dry, pierce the ball and carefully pull it out.

We fix the resulting crown on the stem (to make it stable, you can make a cone out of paper, fix it on it).

According to the template, cut out 3 leaves from green felt, glue them together.

Top with rowan berries. Add artificial snow along the edge of the leaves.

Decorate the tree with snowflakes - confetti.

Add snowflakes around the edge of the pot.

The snow tree is ready.
Let's take a closer look.

In winter, bouquets of snowflakes,
Like foliage, frosty patterns.
And only a bright red rowan
He argues with infinite white.
For her, blizzards are not a hindrance.
And the wind will not hide her fire.
On a huge sheet of snow
Little drops of scarlet blood... (Irene Zed)

Thank you for your attention!

Nowadays, many people try to decorate their apartments with small beautiful interior elements and accessories. Such seemingly insignificant items are pleasing to the eye, give housing a special comfort, style and color. Now, topiary trees are especially popular, which, according to the general opinion, should bring happiness, prosperity and well-being to the house. Such trees of happiness are made from a variety of natural and artificial materials. For example, you can do . Very unusual and interesting is the topiary made of yarn, or rather from the balls of yarn. Make one of them with us with your own hands, and you will see that it is not at all difficult and exciting.

Materials and tools:

- yarn;
- paper (or newspaper);
- wire;
- container (pot, jar of sour cream, etc.);
- flowers (artificial);
- satin ribbon;
- a piece of fabric for decorating the pot;
- gypsum;
- lagurus for decorating the topiary;
- pliers;
- glue and a hot gun.

Topiary from balls of yarn - step by step master class

We will make a topiary from yarn. I really like this option, as there will be no problems with buying yarn. You can make a topiary from yarn of any color. Today I will make a topiary with white yarn.
The first step is to make the base for the crown. You can buy a ready-made foam ball and stick yarn balls on it, but I often make the base myself from a piece of newspaper. Just take a piece of newspaper and fold it into a ball shape.
Wrap with thread.

Now make these balls out of yarn.

The number of balls depends on the size of the paper ball you made.
Now take the wire (I use this thick wire) and use the pliers to bend it.

Now make a hole in the ball with scissors and glue it with glue gun wire stem.
The basis of our topiary is ready.
Now take the balls of yarn and glue them to the crown. You can start gluing the balls in any order, even from the very top, even from the very bottom at the trunk.

Glue until the entire crown is filled with balls. If there are not enough balls, wind more.
Now let's start filling the topiary. I use a sour cream container.
Prepare the mixture for pouring the topiary. Dilute dry gypsum with a small amount of water to a state of sour cream and fill it with a table inserted into the pot.

I decorated the container with a piece of fabric to match the topiary from balls of yarn.

The topiary is almost ready, it remains only to glue the flowers on the crown and in the pot. You can use any artificial textile flowers. I had these flowers.

And at the bottom of the pot. In this case, you can use additional greens.

For the crown, in addition to flowers, I used twigs of lagurus. But if you don’t have this, then you can also add various greens or small flowers to the crown.
I decorated the pot with a ribbon.
Here is such a beautiful yarn topiary turned out in the end.

Do it yourself, follow the advice this master class and you'll be fine.
Creative success.

Coming very soon winter holidays And it's time to start thinking about gifts. See how you can do

Topiary - lovely decoration for the home, creating comfort and coziness. With it, you can create an unusual atmosphere of tenderness in the house. Topiaries are sold in stores, but it is much cheaper, easier and more interesting to create a composition with your own hands, especially since this does not require unusual and expensive materials. Topiary is a fabulous tree, it is also called the "tree of happiness." Such trees are made from very different materials- from yarn, threads, coffee, nuts, flowers, etc. My master class on topiary from white threads and artificial flowers.

For a master class on creating a topiary with our own hands, we need:

  • pot or other container
  • white thread,
  • balloon,
  • aluminum cable,
  • thin wire,
  • white artificial roses,
  • big white beads
  • bead string,
  • decorative flowers, leaves and a bird,
  • white twine,
  • PVA glue,
  • hot glue,
  • building plaster (alabaster).

Creating a crown for a topiary

The most basic and difficult stage of the master class is creating a crown for a topiary with your own hands. Traditionally, topiaries have a spherical crown shape. To begin with, we need to inflate the balloon to the required volume and wrap it with a white thread dipped in PVA glue in a chaotic manner. Then leave the ball to dry completely.

After the threads have dried, we burst the ball with a toothpick or other sharp object and pull it out through a hole suitable for this purpose.

The video clip below shows a step-by-step master class on making balls of thread with your own hands. As you can see, this product can be both an independent composition and a top for a wonderful topiary.

Making a trunk and fixing it in a pot

We give the wire the desired shape. From above we twist the wire in the form of a hemisphere to fix the ball on it. We fold the wire several times and fix it so that the structure does not fall apart in several places with a thin copper wire.

I chose a very original pot for my master class - it is represented by a white porcelain ashtray decorated with a soft pink flower. This solution seemed to me the most successful for my delicate topiary.

Next, we prepare a solution of gypsum for this we dilute it with water to the consistency of thick sour cream. We immerse the topiary trunk in this mixture and fix it in an upright position for some time until the gypsum hardens.

Decoration and assembly of the product

Then we tightly wrap the trunk with thick white twine with our own hands.

It is more convenient to start wrapping a semicircle to secure the ball from the inner rim.

Now we fix the ball of threads with hot glue. We decorate it with white foamiran roses and beads. Roses for this master class can be made with your own hands from decorative foam (foamiran) or purchased ready-made in a needlework store.

For the birthday of a friend who knits very beautifully, I decided to make topiary from balls of yarn. But not an ordinary tree, but one that would also have a functional purpose. I present to you my latest work. Maybe it will come in handy for someone, because often almost all of us have skeins of yarn and threads that we cannot find a use for.

For work we need:

  • remnants of multi-colored yarn,
  • a ball of foam plastic with a diameter of 5-6 cm (can be replaced with a lump of tightly crumpled newspaper, etc.),
  • foil (cotton wool, newspaper or unnecessary notebook sheets) to save some yarn,
  • 3-4 wooden skewers (barrel) or any other suitable stick,
  • building gypsum (alabaster),
  • planter-pot,
  • a jar smaller than the pot you have chosen,
  • scissors,
  • hot glue gun,
  • some foam rubber for the needle bed,
  • for decoration: a travel kit with threads (because there are small spools), pins and other suitable decorations.

Trunk trees made from balls of yarn….

As it might seem in the photo, we need PVA glue, but this is not so. This is an empty jar that we will cut off and fix with hot glue on the edge of our pot. We will fill this small container with plaster.

We dilute the gypsum to the consistency of thick sour cream and pour it into the glue container, which we glued into our planter-pot, evenly install the wooden skewers glued together in the center and wait until the gypsum seizes.

Creating the basis for the crown yarn topiary

We take a foam ball or a dense lump of newspaper, wrap it with any thread and fix it on skewers.

The trunk can be immediately decorated with yarn, just wrap it in a spiral.

Then we proceed to the manufacture of such mini-balls. We wrap a lump of foil, newspaper or cotton wool with threads and fasten the end of the thread to glue or to a simple knot for the adjacent thread. You need a lot of glomeruli, I needed 24 pcs.

We fix the glomeruli with hot glue.

We will hide small gaps between the balls later with decorations.

For the topiary, I crocheted a pincushion hat.

Little crochet hat…

We knit 3-4 air loops and close them with a connecting column, which we knit into the first loop of the row. Next, we knit two single crochets into each loop of the previous row. We close the end of the row with a connecting column. We knit an air lifting loop and proceed to the next row.

Next, alternate: single crochet in the first loop and two single crochet in the next, so that the circle is even and does not shrink. Each row is closed with a connecting column. At the beginning of each row air loop lift.

Then we alternate again: single crochet in 2 loops of the previous row and 2 single crochet with the next loop. In each subsequent row, the number of intermediate loops between the addition of columns will increase.

We make the required number of rows, focusing on the size of the hat you need. Next, I knitted several rows with single crochets in each loop - the hat goes down. We knit the desired length.

The fields were knitted as follows: 2 rows of two single crochets in each loop of the previous row. It turns out wavy hat fields.

So long described. But everything is knitted very simply and quickly. We put foam rubber inside and decorate with a centimeter, it turns out such a cute pincushion hat. 🙂

I also decorated the pot a little: I hid the gypsum with the remnants of yarn and added a few more spools from below.

I also decorated the crown with spools of multi-colored threads and small scissors from the travel kit, pins and a centimeter.

like this topiary from balls of yarn and threads turned out.

Create with pleasure!

I was glad to help!
