A wreath of branches on the door: job description

To weave a wreath, we need birch twigs, as they bend well. We disassemble the branches into several parts.

We begin to make a wreath on the door. We take one part of the branches. We impose the second part on the end of the first part, we impose the third part on the second, etc. Along the way, we wrap the branches with a long twig, fastening our bundles of branches. Here you will need a non-dry, elastic branch that bends well. Most likely, you will need several of these branches to tie the entire wreath. Long birch twigs or willow "lashes" peeled will come in handy.

When the wreath is ready, we will decorate it. You can use whatever decor you want, it's a lot of fun! And we will offer one of the options, very simple, accessible to even a child.

For this we need a birch stick. We apply glue to both ends of it and glue it to the wreath.

We will make flowers from cones. Take open pine cones. With a knife or scissors, cut off the tip of the cone like this.

The resulting flower can be painted with acrylic paints, but we leave our flowers natural. Glue 3 flowers on a stick.

We will decorate the other side of the wreath with alder cones, gluing them to the branches.

For birch branches we go to the park. It is not necessary to cut them from trees, dry fallen branches will serve just as well. Especially now, in the spring, when it is humid outside, the branches on the ground are a little soaked and will form well into a ring. Choose thin flexible shoots up to 4 mm thick and 60-70 cm long.

Step 1. We make a ring. At this stage, you must decide on the diameter of your future wreath. The most popular sizes: 15 cm for decorations and decor, 20 cm for table compositions, 25-30 cm for wall and door wreaths. According to the selected dimensions, form a ring from one long branch and fix it with wire using pliers.

Step 2 Prepare the rest of the branches by cutting them to the same length and removing any too thick petioles. Then, using wire, one by one, attach them at the base to the ring every 5-7 cm, until the circle closes.

Step 3 Clockwise, with one movement of the hand, collect all the branches sticking out to the sides into a ring. If you are making a small wreath, then it is enough to grab them with wire in one place (the final result is in the photo), but if the wreath is large, then additionally wrap it with wire in a spiral, adhering to a wide step with the same angle of inclination.

This is how birch wreaths are made. Having a sufficient number of branches in stock, you can wind wreaths in just a few minutes different sizes for home and street. Children, by the way, also do an excellent job with this task, the wire can be changed to twine.

Wicker wreaths have been used as interior decoration since antiquity. Previously, the wreath served as a kind of invitation and a symbol of hospitality. Nowadays, wreaths allow you to decorate the interior, add interesting and colorful notes to it. Previously, wreaths were made from branches and flowers, but now they are made from various materials, but they still remain a symbol of family unity, love and good luck. The author of this idea will tell you how to do this original decoration interior, using materials available to everyone for this.

Get everything ready to start necessary materials and tools:
1. Flexible willow branches or vines.
2. A piece of ordinary burlap. You can also use decorative burlap in several colors.
3. Scissors.
4. Glue thermal gun.
5. Beads for decor.

1 step.
To begin with, we will cut the washed and dried burlap into strips 1.5-2 cm wide. Just remember that it is undesirable to wash the burlap with an automatic machine, since your assistant’s filters can become very clogged when washing this fabric. Just soak the burlap for a few hours and then rub it in with your hands and rinse.

2 step.
Now fold this strip in half in length and begin to twist into a tight roll. Do not forget to fix the curled strip in some places with hot glue. The edges of the twisted strip do not need to be adjusted exactly to each other, small differences will make future flowers more spectacular. Thus, make several flowers and glue a small bead in the middle of each.

3 step.
On a wreath twisted from flexible branches and tied with twine for strength, we glue flowers from burlap with hot glue, cut out a few leaves from burlap and decorate the composition with them. Now again cut off a narrow strip of burlap.

4 step.
We pass this strip through the wreath and hang it on the door. The original and stylish decoration is ready. And if you use several colors of burlap, then your wreath will turn out to be simply indescribably beautiful.

You can also try to make an unusual and stylish interior decoration in the form of a wreath of branches and fabric. For this you will need:
1. Dry branches of any trees.
2. Thick cardboard.
3. Glue thermal gun.
4. Scissors.
5. Pencil.
6. Cotton fabric.

1 step.
To begin with, on cardboard, draw a circle of such a diameter as we would like to make a wreath. The width of the blank should be 3-5 cm. Then we cut out two such blanks for a wreath from cardboard. On one of them with hot glue we glue sticks of approximately the same length and a long strip of fabric folded in half. In the future, this strip of fabric will serve as a kind of loop for attaching the wreath. Now, on top of the glued sticks, glue the second cardboard circle. Be careful that the borders of the circles coincide with each other without protruding.

2 step.
We cut the fabric into narrow strips, tie a knot at one end of the strip and wrap the strip of fabric around the knot. Such peculiar flowers are obtained from the fabric. This whole process is described in more detail with a photo instruction in an article on the site "Unusual brooch from denim". Using hot glue, glue the flowers to the cardboard base of the wreath.

Simple, but very interesting decoration for your interior is ready. Thanks to the author for interesting ideas and tips.

Traditionally, Christmas wreaths appear in homes on the eve of Christmas. Most often, they decorate doors and fireplaces, and any interior is filled with anticipation of the holiday. You can also decorate a large mirror in a wide frame with a wreath on a satin ribbon, attach it to a cornice and decorate curtains, or even use it to decorate a Christmas table by placing candles inside the wreath.

I have talked many times about how to doChristmas wreath with my own hands, because for me this topic is relevant - there are no Christmas trees here. And according to this wreath - a real lifesaver.

So today I will tell you how to make a Christmas wreath from twigs. To make such wreath very simple. It does not require any special decorations. All the necessary elements can be found in the park on a walk. The basis of the Christmas wreath is flexible birch branches, and the decoration is various cones, nuts, twigs. These branches are thin, flexible, well folded into a circle and do not break. Additionally, you can decorate with small Christmas balls for contrast.

So, we go to the park (or to the forest) and collect branches. You can collect everything "that lies badly": birch, willow, any shrubs and trees even unknown to you: o). Of course, you don’t need to cut off the bush under a clean one, a couple of branches from one tree - and to the next. We love nature! Take branches not thick, but not too thin.

Before you start creating, you need to keep in mind that the cut rods dry fairly quickly and become non-plastic, so if you decide to make a wreath with your own hands, you should not put it off for a long time.
At home, we collect all the branches in one neat bundle, bandage. We place our creation in a bath or where it’s not a pity (suddenly you have a gilded bath: o), fill it hot water. And we go to drink tea... For about an hour.

After that, you need to twist the wreath. There are several options here:

Method 1. Make a wire frame and wrap it with rods. However, the wire still needs to be found: o)

Method 2. If you did not pre-soak the branches, then before forming a circle from the rods, each branch must be bent for every 5 cm, otherwise it may break during operation.

We form a circle from one long branch.

Then, holding the braided ends of the first branch and the beginning of the second in one hand, we braid the first circle with the other. And so on, branch after branch. Gradually, the branches begin to cling to each other.

After the branches are all wound, we take a water-based paint (for example, matte for interior work, it almost does not smell and dries quickly) or acrylic paint. When painting the wreath, use a dry brush with a small amount of paint on the tip.

We paint our wreath. Let's dry. Then, for greater beauty, we sprinkle with gold paint from a spray can (sold in a hardware store or in a car).

That's it - the hardest part is over! You can decorate the finished wreath satin ribbons, beads, Christmas decorations, bells, felt figures, birds, decorative flowers and even gingerbread cookies.

You can hang it by ribbons from the ceiling (if you have something to tie to), on a nail to a wall or on a door.

The wreath, of course, can not be painted.

Method 3. And if you also managed to pick up cones in the forest, then you can arrange a wreath in such an interesting way.

For this we need: birch branches; various cones: pine cones, larch cones (you can also use medium-sized spruce cones, acorns), walnuts, dried branches of "crackers" ; glue gun or some kind of silicone glue in a tube; silver paint in a can; small Christmas balls; satin ribbon; two bells.
The cones must be dried on the battery so that they open.

Take several branches, form a circle and tie their ends. We fold the birch branches into a bundle, of such thickness that the bundle is completely covered by the palm of your hand. We fasten the bundle in the middle with a strong thread. Then we fasten again after 10-15 cm - and so on in a circle. At the end, we overlap the branches on each other and fasten with a thread.
Wind the rest of the branches on top. Those. wrap around an already made frame of branches. We fill the ends in the branches themselves (like the end of a thread in a ball). It turns out here is such a bezel from birch branches.

We distribute decorative elements on the base and compose a composition. Do not glue yet, as you may want to change the order decorative ornaments

As soon as you finally make sure that the composition is finished, you can start gluing.
