Beautiful Christmas tree toy using scrapbooking technique with a pig. DIY Christmas balls: fireworks of brilliant ideas! Christmas decorations scrapbooking

For those who like to create with their own hands, decorate the Christmas tree original jewelry- no problem. I will show you step by step how to do christmas ball ik from paper.

I got the idea from London designer Vicky. But in the process of work, she encountered questions that were not disclosed in her master class. Therefore, I not only translate it, but also supplement it.

The ball is based on paper circles. In the master class, it was indicated that the circles were cut with a hole punch with a diameter of 1.5 inches, i.e. about 4 cm. What size the finished ball turns out was unknown. I decided to make the circles a little larger, and they turned out to be 6 cm in diameter with a little. As a result, the ball turned out to be 12 cm in diameter.

Step 1. Having chosen the desired diameter, you need to cut out 20 identical circles from thick scrapbooking paper and 1 more of the same circle from rough paper. I used 4 types of paper, but you can make each circle from paper of a different design.

Step 2 Now you need to cut an equilateral triangle from the draft circle. For those who have forgotten geometry, I offer a recipe. First you need to draw a hexagon whose side is equal to the radius of the circle. You can start from any point on the circle, postponing the length of the radius until the figure closes. Then you need to connect every other vertex with lines.

Step 3 Using the template, mark on each of the 20 circles three points along the vertices of the triangle.

Step 4 On each circle, make a creasing, then make three half-folds.

Step 5 Using liquid glue, connect 5 elements together so that they form a hat. And 5 more elements to connect in the same way. There should be two hats.

Step 6 From the remaining 10 elements, glue the ring.

Perhaps the most common shape of a Christmas tree toy is a ball. Traditionally, the Christmas tree is decorated with balls. different sizes but one colors or, conversely, they take balls of the same size, but different, matching colors. But every year it becomes more and more popular to make New Year's toys with your own hands. That is why we will learn how to make Christmas decorations in the shape of a ball in the most different techniques needlework!

Balls of beads, buttons and threads

To one of the most simple ways decor Christmas balls with your own hands, you can attribute them to gluing with threads or decorative cords. To make the ball look more festive, take a string of beads with the cord and glue them, alternating with each other.

Balls of buttons and pasta

Even children can stick multi-colored buttons on the balls, and you just have to admire the result and help them a little if necessary)

And instead of buttons, you can stick pasta or coins, and you will get the most unusual Christmas balls with your own hands!

Pre-wrap a foam or any other ball with golden foil to mask the gaps. Alternatively, after gluing small parts, the entire ball can be painted with golden spray paint.

Balls of thread

Making balls of thread is also not at all difficult. It is taken as a basis regular ball(you can use an old Christmas tree toy, with which, for example, the paint has peeled off in places) and is wrapped with knitting threads. Show a little ingenuity and it will turn into a ball ball! Knitting needles are made from toothpicks and a pair of wooden beads.

Another method is based on the use of a balloon in the work, which is wrapped with threads lubricated in PVA glue. You can wind the threads in any order, and at the end it doesn’t hurt to smear the entire surface with glue again.

After the glue dries, pierce balloon and carefully remove it, and decorate the finished ball of thread with a festive bow.

paper balls

To make this cute paper ball, all you need is beautiful paper and glue.

Felting balls - another one interesting way creating a unique Christmas decoration with your own hands!

There are two ways to felt wool balls: one is called dry felting, and the other is wet) The result is equally good if everything is done correctly.

Balloon painting

And finally, another simple way to decorate Christmas balls- painting. It is made using a gel with sparkles of various colors.

take suitable color and draw whatever comes to your mind) By the way, involve children in this activity, they will be delighted!

We hope that from the variety of options offered, you will choose one or several suitable ones for yourself, and your Christmas tree will be decorated with exclusive handmade Christmas balls!

New Year cards - DIY scrapbooking: master class

It is not a shame to congratulate both a child and an adult with a postcard made with his own hands using the scrapbooking technique. Needlework is very captivating, and the voluminous and stylish decor literally fascinates with its beauty.

Ideas for creating cards for the New Year using scrapbooking technique:

For example, try to do a very unusual postcard for the New Year with buttons. For the base, you need very thick cardboard. It can be a postcard in the form of a book or a simple one-sided postcard. Measure one centimeter from each edge and draw a barely noticeable thin line with a simple pencil - this the line along which the thread should be stitched.

For "sewing on paper" use a thin canvas thread, if you do not have one, replace it with plain white or brown thread. After flashing, visually highlight the center of the postcard. Here you should draw a schematic Christmas tree in a stand with a pencil. Use a ruler to keep your lines straight. Final result needed circle with a thin felt-tip pen.

For decor, you should stock up a small number of small buttons of different diameters. How exactly to distribute the buttons and what color they should be is up to you. You can hide the sketch completely, or leave the outline of the tree visible. The painted Christmas tree stand can also be hidden with buttons or other material: fabric, colored paper, sickness.

Each button should glue gently. This must be done in such a way that there is no excess daub of dried glue - this will spoil the impression of your work. After the Christmas tree is completely completed, with a felt-tip pen or ink display a beautiful congratulatory inscription.

IMPORTANT: If your handwriting is not very beautiful and you cannot leave a calligraphic inscription, you can cut out a congratulation from paper and also stick it on the surface of the postcard.

SECRET: If you want to make the effect of a sewn-on button on a postcard, then the stitches should be sewn before you glue the button to the surface.
