Do-it-yourself crepe paper gladioli. Master Class

Elena Kashirskaya (Drozd)

Master class: Bouquet of sweets " GLADIOLI»

It’s summer now, but autumn is just around the corner, or rather September 1 ... I remember during the years of my childhood (and I lived in a small town) gladioluses bloomed in every front garden by September and we local children carried these flowers to the teacher at the first call to the school - GLADIOLI. That's something nostalgia attacked and I decided to dispel it ... I climbed into the Internet, found photos of these simple flowers and decided to make a bouquet of gladioli using sweets in their likeness. Such a sweet bouquet...

For work I needed:

floristic crepe (corrugated) paper, colors:

    • pink
    • light lilac
    • lilac
    • green

sweets - 9 pcs.,

hot glue,

teip tape,

wooden skewers (toothpicks or wire),

scissors ,

tape or thread.

I'm starting to make gladioli from sweets:

1. To make buds, we cut out strips of paper 1 cm wide along the entire length of the sheet. Cut the strip into 4 equal parts. For one gladiolus, you will need 8 parts of green paper and 4 parts of colored paper. Accordingly, for the buds of three gladioli, we need: 6 strips of green and 1 strip of each color.

2. We twist each strip in the middle and bend in half (as for crocuses), stretch in the middle and bend. For the upper bud, we fasten one strip into a bud with a thread, for the next two 2 strips of green color, crossing them crosswise.

3. For the next four buds, you will need 1 strip of colored paper and 1 strip of green paper (for each bud). Two buds so that the colored part is inside, and two buds so that the colored part is on top. We fix each bud with a thread.

4. We attach the buds alternately in a checkerboard pattern to the skewer and wrap the teip with tape (it can be replaced with green corrugated paper).

5. This is how it should look.

6. To make the flowers themselves, cut out 3 strips 3-4 cm wide of each color. We cut each strip into 6 parts, it can be equal, but I cut 3 smaller parts and 3 larger parts. I cut out the petals from the strips, this is the shape. I twist each petal with scissors and stretch the middle. I stretch the edges of the petal to make a beautiful wave.

7. Then I fasten three petals to the candy with a thread or wire, and then three more between the already screwed petals.

8. These are the gladiolus flowers.

9. We make three flowers for each gladiolus. You can of course have more, but I did three.

10. On the back of the flower we attach green leaves. Like this.

11. Then I successively attach the flower to the skewer with hot glue, wrapping the teip with tape. When the skewer runs out, I build it up with another one by twisting them together. In places where the flower stem is compacted and therefore the build-up is not noticeable. I also attach the leaves of gladiolus cutting from corrugated paper.

12. It turns out such pretty gladioli.

13. Together they look like this.

14. Putting it all together.

15. The bouquet can be packed or composed into a composition. I made a bouquet.

So turn on your imagination and create.

Crepe paper gladioli. DIY autumn flowers

Purpose: Such flowers can become an interior decoration kindergarten, a natural corner, or you can use Sweet - design and make a sprig of gladioli with sweets in the middle.

Dear friends and colleagues, today we will make a bouquet of beautiful gladioli. In the end, we will get such a wonderful bouquet

It is difficult to find beautiful poems about this flower, usually everyone has roses, cornflowers or forget-me-nots on their lips, but I rummaged through the bowels of the Internet and found beautiful poems, the author is unknown.

Sticking a flower-bearing ear into the sky,

Blooms at the junction of summer and autumn

Handsome noble - gladiolus,

As if singing an autumn song.

In bloom, he is - well, exactly, the emperor:

With a proud posture looking around at everyone,

He enters autumn like a triumphant,

To the feast of the last royal comforts.

At the same time, he is a flower for contemplation:

The whole peduncle is like a long life path.

He is in change of denial of denial

We visibly wisdom reveals the essence.

Here at the top - baby buds,

Under them - in the shirts of the kids,

And in the center - the very color rows chitons,

And the lower tier - it's time for elders ...

And this flower reminds me of September 1, my childhood, how I went to school with such a bouquet. So gladioli are autumn flowers and so we begin.

Material for work:

1. Crepe paper (lilac, pink, yellow, red, orange, green)

2. scissors

3. twigs or skewers

4. wire

We take yellow paper and cut rectangles for petals 5 by 10

Cut out the petal

With closed scissors, we give the petal a wave, sharply arching away from ourselves

Crepe paper is excellent at work, we use our fingers to move back and forth along the edge of the petal and form a wavy edge

We cut strips 2 by 10 for buds in the amount of 10 pieces per branch of the same color

We take one and make a twist in the middle

Now gently bend the bud with your fingers, the paper allows this

From corrugated paper, you can make almost any flowers, including gladioli with your own hands. The main thing is to show maximum accuracy and patience in work - then everything should certainly work out. This master class will be with step by step photos and instructions.

What you need to make corrugated paper gladioli:

- corrugated paper in two colors: for leaves and petals;
- scissors,
- threads
- PVA glue,
- bamboo stick
- newspaper.

Step 1. We make unopened buds.

So, if you look at the anatomy of the gladiolus, it becomes clear that at the top of the inflorescence are unopened buds. Here with them we will begin the manufacture of gladiolus.

We take a small strip of green paper. Length - about 6 cm, width - 1 cm.

Twist the strip in the middle.

Slightly bend both halves from the inside.

Fold in half.

Slightly flatten the tip of the bud to make it pointed.

At the base we tighten the bud with a thread.

Such unblown buds need about 4-5.

Step 2 We make slightly opened buds.

This type of bud differs from the previous one in slightly peeping colors, and for its manufacture you will need both corrugated paper.

We cut strips of green paper, sharpening one edge.

We make a bulge at the top of the petal.

For manufacturing, we take a strip yellow color and twist it in the middle.

We make bulges, slightly stretching both halves in width.

Fold in half.

Cover the yellow flower bud with green petals.

Slightly sharpen the bud and rewind at the base with a thread.

This is what the blanks look like.

Step 3 We make slightly opened flowers.

These flowers are reflections of the most detailed process of blooming a gladiolus flower. For such a bud, you need a blank in the form of a petal.

Stretch it around the edge.

We twist.

We cover with petals and drag at the base with a thread.

By the same principle, we make further buds, but add two or three petals for volume.

There are already three twisted petals in this bud.

Step 4 We make blooming gladiolus flowers.

For flowers, we need blanks of petals in the amount of 6 pieces.

Stretch each petal along the edge.

Slightly stretch the center and bend in the shape of a spoon.

We turn the side edges back a little - so that they twist slightly.

This is what the petals look like.

Collecting a flower. First we connect two petals together.

We fasten the third petal opposite to the place of their connection.

And at the end, from below, we fasten the petal in the center of the junction of the first two petals.

These flowers need 6-8 pcs.

Step 5 We make the preparation of the stem.

We make a blank from a strip of newspaper.

We wind it on a bamboo stick, glue it, dry it.

Step 6 Collecting the gladiolus flower.

We lay out the blanks in the order in which they will be attached to the stem.

From green paper, cut a strip about 1 cm wide.

We begin to collect inflorescence. On the upper edge of the stem we attach the first unblown bud. We wrap it with a strip of green paper. We will wrap the stem with it, like a bandage.

We fasten three more buds, lowering each one slightly lower than the previous opposite one. Previously, the buds can be glued to the stem, and then wrapped with a strip.

In the course are semi-blown buds.

And finally, we fix the rest of the buds and flowers.

Inflorescence collected.

Step 7 Cut and fasten the leaves.

We cut the leaves very simply: we take a strip about 4 cm wide and cut it from the bottom and top so that the tip is pointed.

We attach the leaves to the stem with PVA glue.

The reverse side of the flower.

The gladiolus flower is ready.

This exquisite work was invented by the Italian origamist Nilva Fina Pillan. She lives in the Italian town of Vicence,

where she works as a designer - she makes bouquets and folds elegant gift boxes.

Flowers are her favorite origami theme. Nilva is the author of three colorful books published by La Casa Verde.

All of them are devoted to folding flowers.

1.Fold basic form"double square". Fold the top right and left sides to the center diagonal.

2. Bend the outlined triangles into the figure.

3. Check the result and turn the figurine over.

4. Bend the left and right bottom sides to the center vertical.

5. Bend the outlined triangles into the figure.

6. Bend the triangles at the bottom of the figure (they are now visible) towards you along the lines that run close to the side edges of the figure, and turn it over.

7. When folding triangles, only the top layer of paper is captured!

8.Check the result and turn the figurine over.

9. Bend simultaneously along all the indicated lines. At the same time, the upper petal is bent forward, and both halves of the lower base are bent simultaneously back.

10. Check the result and slightly open the top three petals.

11. Make three or four of these flowers.

12. To fold the sheet, you need to take a square two or three times larger than it took to work on the flower.
Cut it in half and fold the half along the middle line.

13. Cut out a triangle from the middle and bend its sides to the central vertical.

14. Bend the triangles protruding below back, and then bend the corners to the center line.

15. Fold lines do not reach the top.

is practical and original version home decorations. Gladiolus made of paper will perfectly fit into the interior of any style. The composition of these colors looks quite unusual and stylish.

Making a gladiolus with your own hands is very simple, but today's step by step photo tutorial. It will take you no more than 10 minutes to create one branch of a flower.

Tools and materials:

- scissors;
- light green crepe paper;
- red corrugated paper;
- glue stick;
- thin wire for the base of the stem.

How to make paper flowers?

To make paper flowers, first create small unopened gladiolus buds that will be located at the top of the pedicel. Cut off a wide strip of red corrugated paper. Fold it in half and carefully twist it in the center of the strip. You will get such a bow.

Then we give the petals a convex shape, and cut off the corners. Next, we connect the side parts of the workpiece.

Now you need to make green petals. To do this, take a piece of green crepe paper, fold it in half and twist the segment in the center.

Put a red bud inside the green blank and fix its lower part.

It is necessary to prepare three such buds and one small one.

To create one gladiolus flower, you will need four large petals. We cut out the required number of blanks.

Next, each petal needs to be given a natural shape by stretching it in the center.

Collect four petals together. We twist the lower part of the flower well.

We wrap the wire with green crepe paper.

Then we begin to attach the buds to the pedicel. We wind the crepe ribbon around the stem, gradually adding buds. First we attach the smallest, and then the largest flowers.

Cut out straight leaves from green paper and glue them to the bottom of the peduncle.

That's all, paper gladiolus flowers are ready.

Make a bouquet of gladiolus sprigs in different shades and place them in a tall decorative vase. Such paper flowers will delight you with their spectacular beauty for a long time to come.
