See the photo for the progress of work.

This is what the basket will look like.

Easter basket

Material: felt different colors, cardboard, PVA glue or glue gun, scissors.

Progress:

From cardboard you need to glue the basket of the shape that you want to get. Felt is not a strong material, so a basket made of felt alone will not withstand the weight of even a few eggs.

From different shades of green felt, cut out strips imitating grass, from pink sheets - flowers, from a burgundy sheet - a fence. Glue all this one by one along the side of the basket.

If you have pieces of felt from the past creative projects, today there is a great reason to use them for good, I'll tell you how it's done DIY felt basket. Making such a useful little thing is easy, but the result will please you.

Such a purple knapsack with floral applique will serve as an excellent interior decoration, you can use it in different ways, for example, as a bowl for sweets and fruits, or you can simply put various little things, hairpins or jewelry into it. The color and decor can be changed in accordance with your preferences and mood, it can be embroidery and appliqués, everything that your imagination and skills suggest. What other decorative elements can be made from felt you will learn in ours.

Here is a list of the materials and tools I used:

Felt (it is better to take a thicker piece);

Ruler or centimeter;

Scissors;

Tailor's hole punch;

Cord (may be tape, etc.);

Flowers from ribbon decoration;

Start by tracing a round object of large diameter with chalk on felt, as a stencil, you can take a large plate or bowl, in my case, the diameter is about 44 cm, it all depends on what size you have left felt and what final size of the product you are interested in.

Now, around the entire circumference at an equal distance, about 5 cm apart, set aside segments of 8 cm with chalk (this parameter can also be changed, thereby adjusting the depth of the future knapsack). We make even cuts along the deferred lines with scissors.

After that, from both edges of each segment at a height of 1 cm, make punctures for the lace using a hole punch or an awl.

DIY felt basket

Assemble the structure onto a cord, alternating segments, thread through all the holes, pull the product to the desired size.

It remains to glue decorative elements, such as flowers from ribbons, how to make these beautiful decorative elements is described in detail in our next. Crochet around the edge will look spectacular.

Hello, dear readers of the Domovenok-Art blog! Spring, like any other season, gives us its special inspiration🌸. Here it is woven from many blooming flowers, grass reaching for the sun, long-awaited bird trills, and holidays celebrated in spring. And, perhaps, at this time of the year, Easter is the most inspiring holiday for mass handicraft feats.

Decorating the house, preparing Easter gifts, you can express yourself in a variety of handmade directions. Cardboard, decoupage, or here, felt. Today I want to show you how to make such an Easter basket made of felt. 🐥 And although it looks more like a bucket, but, by and large, it is not so important what word this product is called. This Easter composition looks very stylish and soulful.☝

And in order to sew an Easter basket of felt with your own hands, you do not need to have any super skills or special equipment. It is done quite simply and, importantly, also quickly in the presence of all materials. Therefore, let's first of all collect these very materials.

Materials and tools:

  • felt (preferably hard and not very thin);
  • upholstery fabric;
  • threads to match the fabric (2 colors are possible) and a needle;
  • glue Moment Crystal;
  • decorative elements: ribbons, buttons, etc.;
  • plain paper;
  • scissors, pencil.

I hope there were no questions with the search for materials for sewing an Easter basket. Probably the most problematic thing here is to find the felt of the desired density and color. It so happened that I had 2 types of felt: red - rather thin (about 1.5 mm) and hard, as well as light green for the second basket - thick and very soft. In principle, you can work with both, but, in my opinion, it is better to give preference to hard. In this case, the finished bucket-basket holds its shape better, and there is a feeling that it is more reliable🔒. Well, if you find a thicker felt, it will be even better.

Easter basket made of felt. Master Class

We start creating our Easter felt basket with a pattern. We will do it on plain white paper. My baskets are small, about 8-8.5 cm at the base, however, in order to cut out the entire details of the walls of the bucket-basket and the handle, I had to glue 2 sheets.

Here is the general view of the pattern. You can click on the picture to enlarge (and Esc to exit to normal mode). The height of the walls is 11 cm, and the length of the handle can be adjusted according to your desire. All proportions are observed, so if you wish, you can print this option.

After the basket pattern has been cut out, I recommend that you estimate the future product in paper form, and if something does not look right, correct the pattern. Please note that the walls should have an overlap of about 2-3 cm.

Walls of an Easter basket made of felt

We circle the pattern of the wall on the felt, folding it in half. That is, we will have 2 parts. If you want to make the basket denser or the felt is too thin/soft, you can use 2 layers of material. Cut out.

On the reverse side of the chintz, we also circle the walls. This will be the first decoration of our Easter basket. Here you can almost not leave a supply of fabric for the hem. Cut out the details.

We take a needle and thread, bend the edge a little and we outline. On the sides, the hem needs to be done a little more. This is due to the fact that initially we left a margin on the pattern for overlapping felt parts (it will be more clear later). Overlapping is not needed on chintz. After the whole workpiece needs to be ironed.

Now we sew this fabric with an offset to one side. In the photo you can see that the indentation from the right edge and from the top is quite small (the part lies with its upper part towards us). So, the rugs of the walls of the felt Easter basket are ready.

Bottom and handle of an Easter basket made of felt

Once again, we check according to the pattern whether the bottom is suitable, because in the process of gluing the walls of the felt basket, the diameter of the base could change slightly. You can even do something like this: take a few clothespins and attach the intended circle of paper to the walls in several (the more, the better) places. If there are no gaps left, nothing goes in folds - it means that everything is calculated correctly.

Now, after trying on, draw the desired circle on the felt and cut out the bottom of the bucket.

The next step is sewing the bottom to the walls. For felt, a neat looped seam on the outside is good. Our Easter bucket basket looks more believable now.

Let's move on to creating the pen. We cut out one part of the handle from felt and chintz. Can be used instead of calico wide ribbon in tone.

Using the method described above, we prepare the fabric and sew it to the felt blank. If you are using decorative tape(as, for example, on a light green basket, see below), then it can simply be glued.

The next step is to connect the handle to the bottom of the bucket-basket. Here in the photo you see only a sewn wooden button. In fact, for reliability, it is better to pre-glue the handle. Then it will not be scary to lift a full basket.

decorative part

So, we have done the main part! Our Easter felt basket already looks really like a basket (well, or like a bucket)))). It remains to add accents, well, or decor, in other words 🙂

I decided to decorate the bottom with a polka dot ribbon, which supported the main pattern on the fabric. We stick the tape on the Crystal Moment.

I made a bow from the same ribbon, and I also found such a felt flower in a needlework store. But if you have a lot of different scraps of this material at home, you can build a flower with your own hands, which I did when making out a light green basket.

The bow is located on the handle, and the flower is right in the center of one of the sides of the bucket basket. Only instead of a red circle on a flower, I glued my button with polka dots.

And you know what, the Easter felt basket is ready! 🎉 All you need to do next is lay down, for example, a bunch of sisal, and then eggs. I'll tell you a secret: the buckets turned out to be quite deep, so I put sweets down under the sisal, because they are also usually given at Easter. So our basket turned out not only beautiful, but also practical.

And now briefly about the salad basket 👇 (photos increase when you click). Here I sewed the fabric in a different way: buttonhole stitch, not the usual ones. Thus, on the inside, it is not clear from where it came from, not quite appropriate seam (except perhaps only from below). Just remember to remove the basting threads.

I really hope that everything works out for you too. Really ways to present Easter eggs there are a lot, especially if we consider the option with baskets. On the Domovenok-Art blog, you will find several MKs on this topic, for example,. And you will find a selection of affordable ideas for Easter packaging.

Enjoy your preparation for the holidays, inspiration, Love and all the best and brightest! Give your loved ones the best!

Your brownie Elena.

Good afternoon everyone. In our city, winter still does not want to leave, and the weather does not indulge in warmth and gentle spring sun. How are you doing with spring? After all, very soon Easter and I really want the snow to melt and the willows to bloom.

And since I started talking about this holiday, you probably guessed that we are talking about preparing for this bright event. Most likely, you already know how to paint everything, we also analyzed the topic, and even this year you will bake it yourself, and not buy)) So what else can we talk about ?? And here's what!! Today we will make very beautiful baskets with you, they can serve both as a table decoration and as a kind of coaster for Easter eggs.

As always, I looked through what the Internet offers us, and selected for you the best works in different techniques performance and made of various materials. So get ready, it will be interesting.

And we will start with a difficult master class prepared by Marina Ilyina. I must say right away that the work is within the power of an adult or for someone who is already well versed in the technique of weaving from tubes. I suggest you make a very elegant basket in the shape of a chicken. Such work will be very appropriate as a gift.

You will need: newsprint, glue stick (or PVA), scissors, knitting needles, dufa, water, stain, rope, braid, cardboard, wire.

Work process:

1. Take newsprint, clean. We will make tubes from it. Cut the newspaper into A3 sheets, and cut lengthwise into four strips. The width of the strip should be 7.5 cm. Using a 1.5 mm knitting needle, wind the tubes very tightly so that they are of the same thickness along the entire length. Glue the tubes together.

2. Then paint the prepared tubes with a colorless dufa impregnation + water + stain. Dufa approximately 3 tbsp. spoons for half a liter of water with a stain.

3. Now do the following:

  • braid four pairs of tubes with a simple rope;
  • increase the working tube;
  • if the tube is thick, then make a dent with your fingernail and fold the tube, then put on a new one;
  • the connection must be hidden under the working tube.

4. Take a thick knitting needle and push the racks apart. Braid each rack with a rope. Next, weave the bottom to the desired size and take the desired shape.

5. Take a cotton ribbon and tie the shape to the weave so it won't slip. Next, weave several rows with a rope, and then one row with a rope of three tubes. And to form an even gap, we use a simple device - cardboard, which are fastened with a stapler, of the desired height, put them on racks.

For further weaving, you should have a fairly large distance between the posts, so add posts in each gap by simply inserting them between the weave and the form, then simply cut them.

6. Weave a rope of three tubes, placing them at the beginning of the row behind the racks. And weave the row to the end. When you have one non-braided rack left, take the nearest working tube, weave in front of two, behind the third. And then the second from us, also weave.

8. You must complete the row, and then make an imperceptible transition to the next, just like in a rope of three. It turns out that when you have one unbraided rack left, take the working tube closest to you, and then the second.

Do the same for the second row. Add another working tube and weave a rope of three. Before that, pull out the shape and weave a row, tightening the shape a little to give a rounded shape. To do this, point the racks a little inward.

9. The row must be completed without changing anything. Next we will fill the tubes. So, fill the furthest tube from you under the first working tube, with which the row began. Then fill the second from you already under two tubes at the beginning of the row. And the one that was closest to you should remain in place.

10. Now glue and carefully cut. And remove the tail from the inside. Glue and cut again. Tuck in the tails from the first rope of three.

12. Glue and cut everything so that all the tips are hidden behind the weave. Now take the wire, we will weave the breast and head. Take 9 racks, cut 4 racks through one. 5 will remain. Insert the wire into the extreme and middle ones.

13. You need to weave with one working tube, gluing it at the beginning of the row. Weave use chintz. Then weave to the narrowing, and when the distance between the racks becomes minimal, weave the middle three tubes together.

Now weave on three racks. If the racks run out, build them up, while cutting the racks obliquely for further building.

14. After a few rows, cut off the extra two racks in the middle. Braid a narrow neck-head. Coat this neck with glue and twist tightly and secure with something to dry. Then move on to the pen. So, after the breast, cut through one 4 rack.

15. We will weave the handle on three racks. Cut the wire the entire length of the handle and insert into the uprights. Put the tubes on the wire, thus increasing the base for the handle. Braid the handle according to the photo below.

16. Weave the handle of the desired length and coat the racks with glue very well, then drag them into place of the racks from the opposite side so that the racks from the bowl remain from the inside, then cut them off. Drag the handle to all four rows, and cut off the excess from the bottom.

Also braid the ponytail. Each feather should be on three racks, into which also insert the wire.

17. Remove the cardboard from the gap and cut the racks that were substituted in the gaps. Add elegance to the chicken.

18. Make quilling stripes. Paint them with a brush, let them dry a little, and then wind them on a thick knitting needle (3 mm). Twist in any patterns and fill in the empty spaces, glue the beak and comb.

And here are some other wonderful chickens you can weave:

And in this version, an apple is also made, such a kind of casket.

Isn't it an indescribable beauty!! Those who have been familiar with this technique for a long time will cope with such weaving with a bang.

Master class on making baskets with hares

Now I want to offer you to make an original basket with fabric Easter bunnies. And I present to you step by step process manufacturing.

You will need: a fabric of different colors, a template, threads, scissors, cardboard, PVA glue, synthetic winterizer, a pencil, acrylic paints, a brush, ribbons.

Work process:

1. Save and print the template.

2. According to the share, you need to cut out 4 strips:

  • 2 details for the top of our bunnies (10x73 cm);
  • 2 details for the bottom (7x73 cm);
  • 2 parts for the handle of the basket: 5x55 cm (from the "inner" and "outer" fabric).

Allowances for these parts are already included and are 0.5 cm.

3. Take the cardboard and cut out a circle with a diameter of 19 cm. This will be the bottom. Lay it on the "outer" fabric, circle and cut with an allowance of about 2.5 cm. The edge does not have to be even. And after that, put on the “inner” fabric, circle and cut with an allowance of about 1 cm.

4. Glue the padding polyester on all sides to the cardboard mug, put it under the press. And after drying, cut off the excess synthetic winterizer, leaving about 0.3 cm.

5. Now sew the details of the top of the bunnies with the details of the bottom. Allowance 0.5 cm. Smooth out the seam.

6. Circle the hares according to the template, retreating 2 mm from each other. There should be 10 animals in total. At the same time, draw the “barrel” for the first and last, and only the heads for the rest. to the seam line.

7. Sew the heads along the drawn lines. And with curly scissors, cut off the excess fabric close to the stitching. In the right places, namely between the ears, between the bunnies and in places where the ears go into the head, leave notches.

8. Iron everything. Lay vertical lines between the animals: from the horizontal seam to the bottom edge. And with a simple pencil, outline the future spout. Acrylic paints draw eyes, nose. Tie the knots on the ears with a regular thread.

9. Cheeks can be drawn with ordinary shadows or blush. Fill tightly with padding polyester. Lay a line along the bottom edge, overcast the edge.

10. Decorate the top seam with ribbon, braid or lace.

11. Using a hidden seam, connect our rabbits in a circle.

12. Now let's finish the bottom. Take a circle of large diameter and lay basting stitches close to the edge, and tuck the allowance near the circle from the “inner” fabric and fix it.

13. Place a cardboard-synthetic blank on a circle of "outer" fabric and pull off the thread. Gently tuck the synthetic winterizer inside, trying to stay free.

14. Lay on the inner circle and sew it with blind stitches.

15. Sew the rabbits to the bottom with hidden stitches.

16. Here is what you should get.

17. Now sew the handles. Take the strips cut out for the handles. Fold them in half lengthwise and sew a line at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge. At the same time, also sew one short section, on both strips.

18. Turn them inside out and fill them with filler, and then sew them together, weaving a pigtail. Tuck the ends inside the edges and sew. Attach the finished handle to the basket.

19. Tie satin ribbon bows on the ears and handle.

Well, how do you like this option ?? I think it's absolutely beautiful!! And by the way, if you read the article to the end, you will see more great ideas Easter baskets made of fabric and felt. So stay until the end

See how easy it is to weave a basket from any cardboard or old thick magazines.

First, cut out a square from cardboard so that its side is a multiple of three. Then draw the workpiece into 9 identical squares. At the same time, cut out the four corner pieces. Use the central square as the bottom for the future basket. It remains unchanged.

And cut the cut out squares into strips of the same width. In this case, make a cut without reaching the edge.

Take another sheet of cardboard and cut it into strips of the same width. Next, use these strips to braid the basket around the perimeter. And fix the edges with glue.

From one strip, glue the handle and decorate the basket to taste.

Basket for eggs for Easter from a plastic cup and knitted yarn

Of course, when it comes to crafts, various improvised materials are used. And I found a wonderful master class on making our present from an ordinary plastic cup. This work is easy to do and takes a little time. And instead knitted yarn you can use regular thick threads.

We will need: a plastic cup, twine (or thick threads, yarn), Titanium glue, a hot gun, a piece of plastic packaging tape, which is used to pull furniture, any ribbons, braid, beads and other decorations.

Work process:

1. Take twine and glue the tip to the bottom of the glass. Wrap the threads in a circle, after lubricating the bottom with glue.

3. Cut off unnecessary plastic.

4. Take a piece of packing tape of the required length for the pen. Decorate it with braid using a glue gun.

5. Fix the finished handle.

6. Take beads and other decorative items and decorate the product.

This is such a miracle thing!

It will be very cool to do such work for the competition in kindergarten or school.

You can also take a colored plastic cup, cut the walls into strips and twist them to the base. Makes a great egg holder.

Or you can use a large glass, which is wrapped with adhesive colored paper, and decorated plastic spoons are glued on top, then everything is tied with a ribbon. It turns out a basket-vase.

This is how simple and bright you can do extraordinary things.

These wonderful felt baskets will come in handy on Easter day in order to beautifully serve Easter eggs, and then you can use them to store various items or small things, or for children's games.

You will need thick felt of different colors and try to make one of the baskets with your own hands, inspired by the photos below:

Such Easter craft very simple, literally from improvised materials. The kids will take an active part in the work, because there is also an application. So you will spend time together with benefit and interesting!

You will need:

colorful paper

Thick cardboard (any old cardboard box)

Napkins

Silk fabric

Making a basket

We cut out an oval from cardboard (the size can be any - it depends on the size of the basket that you want to end up with). We also cut out 4 sides about 12-15 cm high.

From all the cut out parts we fold just such a mold, gluing it with glue. To keep well, we strengthen with clothespins, leave to dry.

We cut a strip of cardboard for the handle of the required length, also glue it. It looks like this.

We dilute the glue in water, moisten napkins in it, glue the workpiece. Like the decoupage technique. We leave to dry.

We now take colored paper. We begin to cut the grass, fence and flowers. This is where the help of the kids will be needed, who will be happy to do such a task.

Flowers can consist of several details, the main thing is that they are bright, spring!

We decorate the basket. We glue the fences on the sides. In the middle we put silk fabric. Glue the handle. We place the "grass". In conclusion, we glue the flowers anywhere - on the sides of the basket, on the handle, grass. We leave to dry.

What a beauty it turned out to be! What to fill it with? You decide. It could be dye eggs easter bunnies, rabbits, chocolate eggs and so on. And such an Easter basket is a great interior decoration for the Easter holidays! Not to mention that it is nice to receive it as a gift!

I want to invite you to sew a pretty basket with your own hands. I called the Easter basket because one of the baskets below has a rabbit appliqué. And so ... it’s not at all necessary to sew a felt basket just for the holiday Happy Easter, it can be useful to all needlewomen for storing balls of yarn, threads, lace, other trifles for needlework and creativity, as well as an organizer for children's toys.

To create a basket we need:

  • colored decorative felt - green + dark green, blue + dark blue or lilac + dark lilac,
  • felt or white felt yellow color,
  • scissors,
  • needle thread,
  • black round beads or two beads,
  • dry blush,
  • cotton swab,
  • large buttons - 2 pieces,
  • hot glue gun.

Let's get to work. This basket has an applique of a teddy bear's head, which we will cut out of felt white color. Decide on the size of the template yourself, it depends on the size of your basket.

The basket consists of four parts - two rectangles and two circles made of felt of the same color, but in different shades. The rectangle for the outer side of the basket is sewn together, and the rest of the parts are glued with hot glue.

To create a felt handle in two different shades, two strips are cut with rounded edges which are glued together with hot glue. The finished handle is attached to the felt basket with large sewn-on buttons.

Felt is a good material for needlework, because it is strong enough and holds its shape well. That is why you can make felt cups or even such an elegant basket. It is useful for storing sweets, any household trifles, and even for decorating a planter with a houseplant. In addition, this delicate product can be made a stand for Easter cake, from what festive table will look even nicer. Learn how to make a felt basket in this tutorial!

The best thing is to make it from a material of purple or lilac flowers, because we will decorate it with "pansies" flowers of the same tones. The combination can be like this: burgundy basket + pink flowers.

To make a basket you will need: hard felt of the desired color, scissors, a hole punch, decorative rope or ribbon, two transparent beads, beads (yellow and black), organza for flowers, thread and needle, and a sharp bar of soap or a washable fabric marker.

DIY felt basket: description
From the felt you need to cut out a large circle. Its size will depend on your wishes about the dimensions of the finished basket.

For example, the diameter of the circle will be 44 cm. We cut out the circle, trying to make its edges even.

We make a line 8 cm long from the edge of the circle towards the center. We mark it with a marker.

After a few centimeters, we make another such line along the edge. Note that the lines don't have to be parallel, as they run from the edge towards the center point of the circle. We make the same lines around the entire perimeter of the circle. We make cuts with scissors.

We make two holes on the edge of each “petal” with a hole punch. A decorative rope will then have to crawl into these holes, so you need to calculate their diameter.

These holes should turn out around the circle:

The circle should have an even number of petals, because we will collect them together through one.

We push the rope, as shown in the photo. We pull it together and get a voluminous basket. If you look at the product, it may seem that the rope is threaded only into the outer "petals" of the basket. But this is not so: for better fixation, the internal elements are also hidden. After tying the rope beautiful bow, two transparent beads can be put on its tips.

Then we make flowers from fabric (from satin or organza), decorate them with bead centers and sew them to the outer parts of the basket.

A great felt basket is ready! It should turn out neat even for a beginner in needlework, because the edges of the felt do not fray and do not need additional processing. Instead of flowers, the product can be decorated with ribbon bows, beads or rhinestones.
