Patterns for embroidery on cardboard. Unusual valentine: isothread heart

On Valentine's Day, I want to give my beloved and close people the most beautiful and Original gifts, compose touching confessions in love and arrange the most unforgettable evening in a romantic setting. For example, decorating a room will not be a big deal for you if you know how to do at least a little bit with your own hands. After all, so many beautiful things can be created for this celebration from improvised materials.

Heart symbolism is especially popular, so you can create a picture with a heart and complement the interior with it.

To create a heart using the isothreading technique, we need materials:

  • plywood sheet measuring 20 x 20 cm
  • red acrylic paint
  • artistic brush
  • small carnations
  • hammer
  • white tailor's threads
  • white iris thread
  • crochet hook No. 1.5
  • scissors

Heart painting. Isothread. For Valentine's Day with your own hands - a master class with a photo:

Take a sheet of plywood acrylic paint paint the plywood red and wait until the plank is completely dry.

On a sheet of plain white printer paper, draw a heart. We cut out the heart with scissors and apply it, distributing it exactly in the center of the plank. Using the button, we will make markings along the entire contour of the heart, piercing holes at a distance of about 1 cm from each other.

Next, we hammer small carnations into the holes with a hammer, but we do it carefully - we do not drive the carnations to the end (we drive in so that the ends do not stick out of the plank) and placing a rubber mat under the plank so as not to inadvertently damage the working surface of the table.

As a result, we get such a heart of carnations.

Along the entire perimeter of our picture, we also make markings and drive in carnations at the same distance of 1 cm.

We remove the paper heart from the board.

We bind white thread to the carnation located in the very corner of the board.

Next, hooking a thread for each carnation, we make one turn-loop around it, continuing to weave in this way from the edge of the picture to the heart in turn.

Thus, we pass one row and get this view.

After going in a circle 3-4 rows, we have this wonderful picture, the heart, as we see it, stands out on the whole plane.

We take Iris threads and a crochet hook, we knit a chain of air loops of the required length in order to hang the picture, I have it 25cm.

We fix the chain on the back of the picture in both upper corners. To secure, you can use pushpins or Moment glue, what you have at hand.

Learn about the threading technique, with which you can create beautiful pictures from threads. See how to make a fabric panel.

For Beginners: Isothreading Charts

The technique of isothreading was invented by English weavers. They offered interesting way making panels: nails were driven into the frames, multi-colored threads had to be pulled on them in a certain sequence. The result was beautiful canvases that decorated the walls.

To make pictures from threads, let's first learn 2 enough simple reception. Using and combining them, you can create interesting compositions. The first motif is the technique of filling the corner, the second concerns filling the circle.

Here's what's needed to make this work:

  • cardboard;
  • pincushion and needle;
  • threads: iris, floss, silk;
  • awl;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • ruler.
The first trick is filling the corner.

Draw a right angle on the sheet with sides of 8 and 10 cm. Make markings on one and the second side of it, putting dots through each centimeter. On all these markings, make holes with an awl.

If you are just learning the isothread technique, then number the points, this will help you not to get confused when embroidering with a thread.

  1. Insert the needle from the inside into the cardboard (a knot remains on this side) into the number 1, pass the thread to the front side, insert the needle into the hole number 2.
  2. Make a puncture from the inside into the hole at number 3. The needle is on the face. Move it to 4.
  3. The next turn of thread will have a path on the front side, equal to the distance he numbers 5 to 6.
  4. The next straight line has a distance of 7–8.
  5. Based on this technique, fill in all the segments from one side of the corner to the other.
When making pictures from threads, you will adhere to this principle of filling the corner. But over time, you will be able to use angles of different degrees, lengths, and you will get different results.

The second principle is filling the circle.

Draw a circle, number it with dots, placing them at the same distance. The more there are, the denser the coils will lie to each other.

If you subsequently make patterns in the form of a drop or an oval, perform them using the design of a corner or circle.

Get acquainted with another principle of designing elements in the technique of isolating schemes will help with this.

Here are 2 options for filling the heart.

When you have learned how to create pictures using the technique of isolating diagrams, you have learned how to perform simple elements, go to practical work. The painting "Butterfly" consists of simple patterns to help recreate this spectacular insect.

For this thread picture you will need:
  • colored cardboard;
  • butterfly image;
  • awl;
  • green and yellow floss threads;
  • needle;
  • thin tape;
  • scissors.

The cardboard should be of such a color that the threads used look good on it. For example, bright and light colors look great on dark.

Redraw the butterfly on cardboard, make holes at the same distance with an awl. For convenience, you can number the segments for the correct movement of the thread.

We start with the top wing. Here's how we frame it. From the inside, we fix the ends of the threads with tape.

We make out the second wing in the same way - symmetrically with respect to the first. Here's what happens.

The lower ones will be made from threads of a different color.

To mark the threads of the body, the antennae of the butterfly, sew them in a straight line and go back. We glue the wrong side with a white sheet of paper or cardboard so that the work looks neat from this side as well.

Such a butterfly can become the front side of a postcard, like the following samples.

Using isothread schemes, you can make an adorable dog or heart, flowers to present your creations. You can leave these embroidered products in your home, they will give your home a unique look.
  1. Use smooth cardboard or thick paper as a base, sometimes velvet cardboard is used for paintings.
  2. To work, you need an awl, take a sharp and short one. Make punctures on the cardboard from the front to the wrong side so that it is neat.
  3. To draw a diagram, take a simple well-sharpened hard pencil.
  4. Use a needle with a large eye, the thread will pass through this without hindrance.
  5. In order not to damage the work surface, put a substrate under the cardboard, it can be a wooden board, thick foam.
  6. Watch the thread tension. If you pull it too hard, you can tear the cardboard backing. A very weak turn will lead to sagging of the thread.
  7. The wrong side will look better if the completed thread picture is glued onto thick cardboard.
  8. In the technique of isothread, panels, postcards, paintings, bookmarks for books, and covers are made.

Pictures from threads

See what other panels you can make from this material. This is how paintings are created from threads and nails (which are used instead of punctures).

The base can be plywood or other similar material into which nails can be driven. They are attached along the borders of the outline of the pattern and wrapped with a thread in a certain order, using the isothread technique or in a chaotic manner.

For such a picture of threads and nails, you will need:
  • painted plywood;
  • nails;
  • hammer;
  • bright threads.
Drive nails with a hammer around the perimeter of a small sheet of plywood. Tie a loop at the end of the thread, throw it over the first corner nail, tighten. Pass the thread diagonally over the appropriate stud. Then return it to its place, winding it already on the next, from the first corner, carnation. Guide the thread diagonally, fasten on a symmetrical nail. So, gradually moving clockwise, finish the job.
For the next picture of threads and nails, take:
  • a solid base with a dark background;
  • white threads;
  • drawing;
  • nails;
  • hammer.

Attach the selected pattern to a dense base. Drive nails along its outer and inner contours. Draw a pattern with a thread, successively winding it on the outer, then on the inner nail.

Since there are fewer heart-shaped nails than those driven in along the outer contour, wind the thread on one inner and several outer ones.

If you do not want to keep the proportion, arrange the thread randomly.

For the next picture of the nails, the thread comes out from one point, and then, sequentially, rushes to the outer contours of the wings.

And here is how a randomly wound rope will help to make beautiful inscription, heart. In this technique, you can make a sign and save a lot of money on it.

In the intricacies of the next work, where threads also play a major role, the master class will help you figure it out.

For her, you need a little:

  • cardboard;
  • woolen threads of various colors;
  • pencil, scissors;
  • tassel;
  • glue.
On light cardboard, draw your favorite character, nature, or something else. Lubricate the contours of one of the largest elements of the canvas with a brush with glue (in this case, it is a cat). Attach yarn here, glue.

We decorate with threads different colors, also gluing them, small details: eyes, nose, mouth, face. If there are flowers or other small elements on the panel, also fill them with woven yarn.

Now you can move on to larger elements - the body, tail, and at the end paste over the background of the picture.

Fabric painting

They turn out to be no less beautiful and original. Fabric paintings can be made with children, and even more so those on which they draw with chalk. It will not crumble from finished canvases, and why, you will learn about this secret very soon.

For artistic creation you need:

  • pieces of cotton fabric;
  • colored crayons;
  • Bowl;
  • starch water;
  • frying pan or wide plate;
  • foil.

From cotton fabric, you can cut pieces of rectangular or any other shape. The brighter the colors of the crayons, the more colorful the picture will turn out.

Place the patches in a bowl. Dilute the starch with water in a ratio of 1: 3, fill the pieces of fabric with this liquid, soak them well in the solution.

Wring out the flap, spread on a flat surface of a plate or pan. Draw a drawing with chalk.

Do the same for the other canvases. Now you need to lay out fabric paintings on the foil, doing it yourself or entrusting it to the kids. After all, it will be very interesting for them to learn about a new kind of creativity and try it out.

Everything, you can frame the panels and hang them on the wall. The starch solution has fixed the chalk, and it will not crumble. If you don't have frames ready, glue them together using PVA from wooden popsicle sticks. Even round hoops, which are used for embroidery, will be used.

And here's how else you can create paintings from wet fabric, using its ability to drape beautifully. For this piece of art you will need:
  • plywood or fiberboard;
  • thin plain cotton fabric;
  • newspapers;
  • water;
  • flour.

Pour half a glass of flour into a small saucepan, pour in 200 ml of water, mix thoroughly with a whisk. Put the mass on fire. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally with the same kitchen tool. Remove from fire, cool.

Spread the fabric, taking the paste with your hands, rub it over the surface of the canvas. Glue this side to the plywood.

The fabric should be 5–8 cm wider than fiberboard on all sides. After all, we will drape it, and it will decrease.

  1. We begin to drape the fabric. Divide the picture into about 2 parts. The upper one will be smooth, here you will depict the sky, the sun. We drape the lower one so that the result is images: mountains, water, shores, trees.
  2. Where the sky will be, carefully flatten the canvas with your palms so that the surface becomes smooth, without air bubbles under the fabric.
  3. For the relief part of the picture, decorate the fabric with folds of various shapes and sizes.
  4. If you want to mark a convex detail, such as a large stone, then use newspaper. Moisten it with flour glue, put it under the canvas where it is needed.
  5. Glue small parts on a wet cloth immediately.
  6. The finished fabric picture is dried for about 10–12 hours.
  7. If you want to apply a drawing to the panel, then do it when the canvas is completely dry. It can be: a church, a house, a tree, an animal, a person, etc.).
  8. After you have painted the church, smeared its domes with glue, pour millet on this part of the fabric picture with your own hands. We paint the church with gouache or acrylic aerosol dyes.
  9. Paint the sky, water with blue paint. The coast is yellow.
  10. Cover the moss with green paint, let it dry. Wait until the canvas itself dries well too. Only after that, glue the moss to the crown of trees and instead of ground vegetation.
  11. To do this, it is good to use a thermal gun or glue "Titan" or "Dragon".

It is also pleasant to make paintings from fabric, first cutting out the patches with your own hands, then putting them in their places.

For this use:
  • pieces of fabric;
  • threads;
  • glue;
  • braid;
  • sequins;
  • pencil;
  • thick cardboard.
Follow these instructions:
  1. Draw on cardboard first the future picture in pencil. Let it be a vase with plants.
  2. Fill the background with braid of various colors, arranging it straight or wavy.
  3. Cut flowers according to one pattern, but also different fabrics: blue, blue, purple. Glue glitter to the cores.
  4. Glue a vase on the canvas, and flowers on top, grouping them in several pieces and decorating with green leaves.
  5. After the fabric has dried, the picture can be framed and hung on the wall.
By combining yellow, orange, burgundy, lilac patches, make a web. Its fragments are separated by a white braid. Glue a colorful butterfly in the center of the panel, and a leaf on the side.

Using the patchwork technique, you can come up with many more fabric patterns. For a flight of inspiration, watch interesting videos:

Are you familiar with the word "exhaust"? If not, here is a short definition:

Isothread - thread graphics, using this technique, a certain image is created with threads on cardboard or other dense base.

And it looks very impressive. Besides this technique gives such a huge scope for experimentation that it is simply breathtaking. Recently, I also experimented a little with the isothing technique and decided to tell you how such hearts are made.

To create a heart using the isothreading technique, we need:

    • thick cardboard;
    • curly scissors (preferably);
    • contrast threads.

MASTER CLASS

On cardboard, draw a heart of the desired size, and then cut it out with curly scissors. Unfortunately, curly scissors are too tough for very thick cardboard, but you can cut the teeth with ordinary scissors, observing the same step between them.

In order to sink on the heart sat firmly and did not slip, we make small cuts in the recesses with scissors. And now let's start embroidery.

STUDY HEART, SCHEME 1

For this method, you will need an even number of notch holes. We thread the thread into the central recess, leave the tail behind.

fig.1 simple circuit isothread of the heart

Now, according to the figure, we pass the thread in front through notch 2, then in the back - through notch 3, then 4, etc. round. This is the most easy scheme isothread.

Here is the heart. But I wanted to complicate the drawing and make the rays more interesting. To do this, we pass our thread, which should now be behind, through recess 47, then go to 48, 49, etc. to end.

At the back we find the tail and tie the threads. Here is such a simple isothread master class.

STUDY HEART, SCHEME 2

We start experimenting. I called this thread on my heart “Angel Wings”. And it all started with the fact that I missed the first thread not vertically, but sideways. Well, then we braid in a circle. Gradually, an interesting pattern begins to emerge.

Fig.2. Isothread scheme "Angel Wings"

Angel wings appear when we reach the central, very first point with a thread (photo 3). You can stop there. But I decided to continue the experiment.

Figure 2 (bottom) shows further work. Moving up parallel on both sides, we connect the edges with the middle. I decided to slow down 8 steps to the center.

Behind, according to tradition, we tie a knot. How do you waste on your heart like that?

STUDY HEART, SCHEME 3

Now you can slightly expand the area of \u200b\u200bexperiments, which I did. As a result of these experiments, a scheme for weaving isothread was born, a master class on which I will now show.

We begin to sheathe from the edge, I got the 11th recess from the center. Well, and further according to the scheme (Fig. 3). We are moving towards the middle. When we reach it, we go to the opposite side and do the same there (points 1a, 2a, etc.).

Fig.3. Scheme of isothread of the heart "Along the contour"

It remains to embroider the lower part of the heart with isothread. From the center we start the thread into hole 1b (in Fig. 3 this is recess 1), and from there to 2b, etc., until we get to point 18b (it is also 1a). We tie the ends of the thread.

Interesting heart in isothread, right? But the decor begs for the center. I attached a small heart to double-sided foam tape, a master class on how to make it is here: five paper heart ideas .

Well, now you can admire the result a little. Still, it’s not such a difficult thing to isolate. The heart in this technique turns out to be very bewitching, and you want to touch it. What do you think?

And what to do next with these hearts, you have already seen (well, or even look if you follow the link above). I hope this isothread master class Helped you today. And someone replenished their vocabulary with a new word, and even that is great.

Learning new needlework is always interesting, this master class will teach you the intricacies of creating paintings original way embroidery, different from the usual types.

A rose made using the isothread technique looks spectacular. It can be framed, hung on the wall or given as a gift. Also, using the proposed instructions, it will not be difficult to make unusual postcard for any holiday. Arm yourself with everything you need and start exciting creativity.

Preparation of materials for work

For a picture with a rose, you will need:

  • base (sheet of cardboard, box, cover from cardboard box or something different);
  • fabric for covering the base and for the wrong side of the panel;
  • threads (mulina, acrylic or other suitable) - green, bright red, pink and burgundy
  • colors;
  • drawing template; needle of medium thickness;
  • glue gun;
  • scissors;
  • awl.

The picture can be made on a sheet of colored or velvet cardboard, in which case it is not necessary to cover it with a cloth. If you use another material at hand, you will need a piece of fabric of a suitable size.

Step by step technique for making a painting with a rose

Tightly wrap the cardboard base with fabric, securing it from the wrong side with glue gun.

Print or draw an image template using the rose outline in the photo below.

Attach the prepared template from the wrong side. If the cardboard is thick, pre-pierce all the holes in the pattern with an awl.

Start creating the rose from the center petal with pink thread. To fill a closed figure in this technique, the number of holes for puncturing with a needle must be even, but if it is an arc, as in the case of rose petals, the number of points can be any.

On the front side, all stitches will be long, to determine their length, find the middle of the arc by dividing the number of punctures by two. For example, in the diagram of the first petal, it can be seen that there are 14 points in the arc. 14:2 = 7.

This means that the first stitch can end at any point no further than the eighth in a row (indicated in the diagram, v.2). If the number of holes is odd, then the stitch should end no further than the average puncture - for example, if there are 19 points, then the stitch should begin in the first and end no further than in the ninth.

Starting from the wrong side, pierce the work at point 1 and bring the needle to the front side. On the front side, lay a long stitch from p.1 to p.2

Then insert the needle at point 3 and sew a long stitch on the right side in the opposite direction - up to point 4. Fill in the entire arc according to the diagram.

Tie a knot on the wrong side and cut the thread. All subsequent rose petals should be embroidered in the same way. Embroider the petals with threads of different colors, guided by the photo.

Fill the sheet with green thread in two stages - first with stitches of the same length, as shown in the diagram.

Then, over them, sew shorter stitches with a length of four points.

Thus, embroider all the leaves with green threads, the bud with red and burgundy.

Run the sepals on the bud with green threads, starting with the middle one.

Fill in the lower sepal in two stages, like leaves, laying short stitches over long ones.

Fill in the first part of the rose stem according to the scheme.

And by the same principle - the second.

Embroider thin branches from leaves to stem with ordinary straight stitches. Heart - according to the principle of an arc in three stages - first the left side separately, the right side separately and then the middle.

From the wrong side, remove a sheet of paper with a diagram and glue a piece of fabric.

Luxurious picture with a rose in the technique of isothread embroidery is ready to arouse admiration! This hobby calms and adjusts to positive emotions.

Master class with parents

for making magnets

"Golden heart"

(using the isothread technique)

Target: familiarity with the basic techniques of work in the technique of isothing; Making a magnet "Golden Heart".

Tasks:

1) to acquaint with some techniques of isothing technique;

2) promote the development of small muscles of the hands; developing the ability to work with scissors, paper; mark details according to the template; the formation of accuracy, perseverance, attentiveness, purposefulness;

3) create conditions for the development of artistic and creative abilities, broaden horizons

Equipment and materials:red colored cardboard measuring 100 by 150 mm - 2 pcs., a heart template, scissors, a thread for decorating gold, a glue gun, a simple pencil, one-sided tape, a sticker.

Event progress:

Today I will tell you how to make a Golden Heart magnet with your own hands. And we will do it in the technique of sinking. Crafts made using this technique are spectacular and unusual. Making them is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.

For work, we take threads and cardboard. The essence of the technique is to wrap a cardboard blank with a thread. As you can see, it's quick and easy. In order for the thread to hold firmly on the cardboard, it is necessary to take care of the slots along the edge of the workpiece. If you change the distance between the slots, choose a thread of a different color, or a different thickness, then the craft will look completely different.

blank

Take red cardboard measuring 100 by 150 mm. Use the template and cut out the blank in the shape of a heart.

Now you need to make cuts. There are several ways to finish the edges. The easiest: take scissors with narrow tips. We cut slits along the entire contour of the workpiece. You can make triangular slots (they are suitable for thick threads), or you can make narrow rectangular ones.

Winding

We fix the selected gold thread for decoration on the back side of the workpiece with a small piece of adhesive tape and start winding the thread starting from the second slot on the right side of the center. From the initial slot, pull the thread to 12, skipping 11 slots clockwise. Next, we stretch the thread from the adjacent slot to the right of the initial one and pull it to 13, also skipping 11 slots. We continue winding, each time moving one slot clockwise. As soon as the thread is in the second slot to the left of the center, we stop winding.

A circle formed in the central part of our heart. You can stick a sticker there, as well as fill it with a thread.

Let's start filling this circle. To do this, we skip the thread into the first slot from the center and skipping 11 slots, pull the thread to 12. Return the thread to the first slot from the center and skipping 12 slots, pull it to 13. Return the thread to the first slot again and pull it to 14 and so on. Similarly, we wind the left half of the heart. We fix the end of the thread on the back of the heart with a small piece of tape.

The resulting heart looks very presentable. Red cardboard symbolizes love, and golden threads make our heart truly golden.

Next, cut out a heart from red cardboard using a template, glue a small magnet on the wrong side with a glue gun. Also, using a glue gun, glue a heart with gold threads onto a heart with a magnet.

And we have a magnet ready. You can use a photo instead of a sticker. Fridge magnets are a beautiful decoration item.
