Halloween began to be celebrated in our country relatively recently, but this unusual holiday almost immediately gained incredible popularity, reviving the tradition of carnivals. Not a single carnival, as you know, is complete without witch costumes, ghosts and other evil spirits. Let's consider step by step how a witch's hat can be made quickly and easily with your own hands from improvised materials - paper, felt and fabric.

How to make a do-it-yourself witch hat out of paper in step by step MK

The easiest and fastest way to make a hat is out of paper and cardboard. It will take quite a bit of time, and the result will look impressive and attractive.

Necessary materials:
  • thick plain cardboard;
  • scrapbooking paper with a suitable ornament;
  • ink;
  • PVA glue;
  • scissors;
  • compass, ruler, pencil;
  • decorative items as desired.
Operating procedure.

To begin with, we determine the size of the hat: the product can be large enough to be freely put on the head, or small, which can be fixed in the hair with clips. We cut out a cone in the form of a quarter of a circle, for which we draw two arcs with a step of 14 cm and 13 cm using a compass on colored scrapbooking paper. One centimeter of the difference will be used to form denticles for gluing. We cut out the part with teeth, carefully fold and glue the cone with PVA glue. We bend the teeth outward, as shown in the photo.

We cut out the fields of the future hat from paper and cardboard (two identical parts should turn out). We measure the diameter of the base of the resulting cone and divide the resulting number in half. We set the step of the compass and draw a circle. Then we add 3-5 cm for the margins and draw a second circle, cut out the part.

Collecting a hat. To do this, using the teeth on the cone, glue the upper part of the hat to the paper part, and glue a similar cardboard part on top of it. The resulting design can be put under pressure for several minutes, pressing down the brim of the hat.

We eliminate visible defects, cut off uneven sections of paper, tint the edges of the cardboard with black ink. We decorate the hat at our discretion: we stick buckles, ribbons, applications made of paper or fabric. The witch's hat is ready!

We sew a decorative felt hat in haste

A miniature decorative hat can be made from felt. It will last longer than paper and, in addition, will become wonderful decoration festive interior.

Necessary materials:
  • dark green and purple felt;
  • black threads;
  • needle;
  • half beads of black color;
  • black ribbon or braid;
  • cardboard;
  • synthetic winterizer;
  • scissors, compasses, tweezers;
  • glue gun;
  • additional decor on request.
Operating procedure.

We are preparing a felt cone for the top of the cap. To do this, we build a circle with a diameter of 14 cm and cut out one fourth of its part. We glue or carefully sew the edges of the workpiece, if desired, sew a loop of thin braid. We fill the cone with a padding polyester a little so that the product keeps its shape better.

For the base of the hat, cut out a circle of felt with a diameter of 8 cm and sheathe its edges buttonhole stitch with black thread. Strictly in the center we glue the cone with the eyelet using glue gun. We try to prevent excess glue from getting on the blanks, it will be difficult to remove it from the felt. We close the base of the cone with a silk ribbon, decorate it with a purple felt buckle or any other color.

We decorate the hat with black half-beads, planting them on glue with tweezers. The upper part of the cone is slightly bent to the side. So that the hat can be worn, we sew or glue a hair clip to the base. The felt witch hat is ready!

Let's try to sew another version of a fabric hat with a description of the work

If you decide to sew a witch hat out of fabric, it is best to give preference to dense materials that hold their shape well. If desired, the product can be starched or treated with gelatin. Fabrics with a glossy sheen or unusual texture look great.

Necessary materials:
  • black fabric;
  • cardboard for patterns;
  • wire;
  • needle and thread;
  • scissors;
  • wire cutters;
  • decorative buckle and ribbon.
Operating procedure.

We measure the girth of the head and build a pattern on cardboard. Fields can be of arbitrary diameter. We cut off two pieces of wire, one of which is equal to the girth of the head, the other is the length of the hat brim along the perimeter. We close the wire in a circle and twist it tightly or carefully solder it with a soldering iron.

We transfer the pattern to the fabric, laying allowances of 1.5-2 cm for each size. It is necessary to cut out one piece for the crown and two for the fields. We sew the cap, fixing a wire circle of smaller diameter in its lower cut. We starch the crown, except for the tip, which will hang down effectively. You can not starch the fabric, but arrange it with folds and secure them with a few stitches around the perimeter.

We fold the fields with the right side to each other and sew along the contour, sew in a wire circle of a larger diameter (you can replace it with a piece of thick cardboard), turn it inside out and iron it. We sew the crown to the fields and decorate the product with a ribbon and a decorative buckle. Halloween witch hat is ready!

The "Attic" Witch has similar features with the Baba Yaga, already familiar to everyone. The main characteristic outlines of the silhouette pattern are a long nose, a high hat and a mouth covered with a hand. This doll knows something secret, and will definitely not tell anyone. Her eyes are usually adorned with black beads, and there is blush on her cheeks. In the original Good witches, a very, very kind witch.

Sweet and attractive Witch Tilda took the honorable first place in household items. She is not only the keeper of comfort and a warm hearth, she also loves pets. In the arms of a homely doll, we will meet a goose with a large straw bow on a long neck. This element has already become a tradition that gives Tilda a certain rural charm.

Pattern

The pattern consists of 8 elements, including parts of the doll itself, clothes and her beloved goose:

  1. The largest part is the torso of the Witch
  2. Next, hand pattern
  3. leg pattern
  4. Witch Shirt
  5. her pants
  6. Hat-cap with lapel
  7. Pattern of the goose accompanying the doll
  8. His paws

The original requirement of such Witches is the complete diversity of the wardrobe. Hats-caps with lapels to match the outfit, a snow-white blouse and a plain sarafan with equally flirty stockings give the doll a funny cute look. You have the right to decide for yourself which outfit to choose. Experiments with color and shade, with texture and cut are welcome. Any wishes to your taste with a Tilda pattern.

For the hair of the Tilda Witch, it is appropriate to use woolen yarn. Your doll can be brunette, blonde or red. Perhaps you prefer other shades, and give your masterpiece an unexpected originality. You can determine the length and shape of the hairstyle yourself. A curly-haired or long-haired bird will take pride of place in your room.

A bit of "witch" magic from Tilda dolls

There is a belief that the Tilda doll can be revived. If you put a small cut or sewn heart inside rag doll she will come to life and gain a soul. And although the "attic", like a real witch, does not have a broom, but it has the magic of kindness and enthusiasm.

Sewing the Witch Tilda is quite simple. You just need to have basic needlework skills and patience. A little perseverance and a funny keeper of home peace is ready. Enjoy the good image of your pet.

One of the most popular costumes for Halloween and other holidays with elements of a masquerade is still Evil and kind, mysterious, wayward, capricious and unpredictable, these powerful sorceresses have excited the imagination of people for many centuries. And, of course, an indispensable attribute of a real witch is her headdress.

So, let's prepare the materials

The witch hat is quite easy to make. From the materials you will need cardboard for a pattern, a pencil, scissors, ordinary wire (it is better to take a diameter of a couple of millimeters), wire cutters to work with it, a fabric that will be covered with a future hat (best fit black felt), starch, ribbon for decorating the crown, solder with a soldering iron, buckle or bouquet for decoration.

Beginning of work

Witches? Start by determining the desired length of wire. First, we measure the head. With such a volume, we cut off the wire and make a small circle with which we fasten the fields and crown. Now we draw the same circle on cardboard, add the width necessary for the fields to its radius and draw a second, already large, circle. We measure its length and cut the wire into a large circle. The wire is needed for support, cardboard for the hat itself (it will be necessary to cover it with fabric). Next, the witch's hat is done like this: we determine the height and calculate the cone, then from the corner of the cardboard we set aside the calculated height of the crown, draw an arc. The cone is ready. Cut out the wire circles and solder them.

Tula

The witch hat pattern is ready. We transfer it to the prepared fabric, leaving, of course, allowances. For the fields we cut out 2 parts, for the tulle - one. We sew the last one along the sections so that we get a cap. Now we bend its lower edge, we put a small wire circle into its fold, we hem it with a tulle from the inside. Try to do everything carefully so that the product looks more elegant. The next stage is to starch the crown, all but the tip (the tip may hang down). If you want the whole witch's hat to be stiff, then do not leave the tip.

fields

We fold the cut fields together so that the front side is inside, and sew them along the outer circle (you can also sew by hand, but it takes longer), then turn it inside out and gently iron it. Now we take a large circle of cardboard and put it in the fabric. The resulting hem on a small cut must be unscrewed so that they can be sewn into an already finished crown. We sew everything together, before this glue or paste, having missed the hem of the fields and crowns. By the way, the fields of the headdress can be made not hard, with cardboard, but soft (in some drawings, witches have such hats).

Shutdown

Our witch hat is almost ready, it remains only to decorate it. To do this, we sew a prepared ribbon on the crown near the very fields (the ideal option is black satin), and we attach a bright buckle to it. Alternative option- instead of a buckle, take a bunch of twigs and small pumpkins. Pieces of black tulle can be attached to the edges of the fields, some black shiny beads can be sewn on. Now that we figured out how to make a witch hat and sewed it, you can safely go to the holiday.

The master class was held by Margarita Pozhidaeva.

synthetic winterizer;
threads.

Tools:

How to sew a witch toy.

We fold the fabric for the body in half, trace the pattern with chalk or a pencil (not brightly) and, without cutting it out, sew along the contour. We iron. We cut out the details, leaving an allowance of 4-5 mm.

1

We turn out the details. Handles - completely, torso and legs up to half (it will be easier to stuff and get better quality).

2

We fill the handles and torso completely, tightly. We stuff the legs first to the knee line, manually sew the bend and continue stuffing above the knee, but not so tightly. We sew the holes on the handles with a hidden seam.

3

We bend the sections of the carcass inward by 10 mm, insert the legs, pin them with pins. We sew the legs with a hidden or stitched seam. We close the seam with lace, fasten with stitches at the bottom and top. We get panties.

4

Fold the fabric in half and cut out the bodice and half-sun skirt. Skirt length - 18 cm. Cut out with an allowance of 5 mm.

5

We grind the details of the bodice, overcast the sections and iron them. We bend the upper cut to the inside and overcast it with a “zigzag”.

6

Sew lace along the upper edge of the bodice from the inside, gathering it into folds. We get a lace collar. We twist.

7

Let's start sewing skirts. We bend the lower cut by 5 mm and overcast with a “zigzag”.

8

To finish the bottom, we cut out a strip of tulle W-6 cm, D-5 m. At a distance of 1 cm from the edge, we lay a line for assembly, loosening the upper thread. We pull the tulle to the length of the lower cut of the skirt.

9

We put tulle on the wrong side of the skirt at a distance of 2 cm from the bottom cut and sew along the assembly line.

10

On the front side we sew lace, closing the stitching of the tulle. We lay small folds so that the lace in the finished product does not bend upwards.

11

We fold the part of the skirt with the front side inward and grind down the shsh - 5 mm, overcast the cut and iron it. The tulle section can not be grinded.

12

We dress the bodice on the doll, tie a bow from satin ribbon, thereby fixing the bodice on the doll. We melt the edges of the tape.

13

We dress the skirt on the doll, combining the middle seam of the skirt with the seam on the body of the doll. We sew the skirt in a circle directly to the carcass, the stitch length is small, 3 mm.

14

To sew a jacket, fold the corduroy right side inward. We circle the pattern. We circle the arm a little wider (but not much) for a tight fit, we get the details of the sleeve.

15

We sew along the marked lines. At the same time, we sew the jacket in a circle without leaving an opening. We iron and cut out the details, leaving allowances of 5 mm. We cut the corners of the jacket obliquely to 2 mm.

16

On one side of the jacket we make a small incision, through which we turn the part on the front side, iron it.

17

Turn the sleeve piece right side out. We pierce the upper hand with a barbecue stick. Now we put our hand together with the wand in the sleeve. The sleeve is narrow, but with a stick it is not difficult to do this.

18

We bend the cut of the sleeve inward and fasten it with a secret line. We put the jacket on the doll and fasten it with pins. We try on hands, determine the location, fix them with pins. We sew the hands through with a double thread, you can also use a button mount.

19

Hat. For tailoring, you need details: fields and a cap. The diameter of the circle for the fields is 5 cm, the inner circle is 2.5 cm. We cut out one part of the cap from velveteen, and for the fields we fold the velveteen with the finishing fabric for the legs.

20

Sew the detail of the hat brim along the outer circle. Cut out the inner. We turn the detail of the hat fields on the front side and iron. We grind the cap (seam width - 5 mm), turn it inside out.

21

We put the cap into the ring, sew it on by hand. At the same time, we pick up the fields a little so that they are wavy. We lay a line along the seam of the cap, tighten it a little and fix it.

22

We decorate the finished hat with a ribbon, attach a metal bell. Trying on a hat. Draw the eyes with a toothpick and acrylic paint or embroider a French knot with floss threads.

23

We make curls. We need wool for felting. We tear off the strands, moisten with water, wind on skewers, soak with hair foam and dry.

24

For several strands, we wind only the ends, do not touch the middle. These are strands for the crown. Here is a set of curls for the hairstyle turned out.

25

We tear off a piece of wool and take a needle for felting. We wrap a piece of wool around the head of the doll and roll it. This is necessary so that there is no baldness between the curls.

26

We take curls for the crown and roll with a felting needle. We raise the top of the head and roll the curls along the second tier, achieving the desired density.

27

We finalize the hairstyle. Sew on the hat or carefully glue it to the hair with hot glue.
