What to wear for a summer hike. What to take with you on an overnight camping trip? Tips from seasoned tourists

Now I will try to do what I promised in the forum, namely, to expand my post on survival to several articles. At the same time, I will build an article in the form of answers to forum questions, otherwise it will not turn out to be an article, but a book.

To begin with, let's define a number of conventions.

1. We will assume that it is late spring-summer-early autumn outside, that is, relatively warm and relatively dry.
2. We go to the forest for a few days, our goal is not only to survive sitting under a bush, but also to move around. Let's say we plan to go for 5-7 days.
3. We have limited capacity and limited skills. I will try to focus the article on a complete beginner who does not know how to make a fire in a hollow tree, spend the night on a climbing harness and is not ready to carry 30 kg on himself for a distance of 50 km.
4. The forest is wild and unfamiliar, in the middle lane.

What, personally, from your point of view, are the essentials?

1. First aid kit "comfort":

Sterile bandage - 2 (1 narrow, 1 wide).
Tape patch (it will be necessary - put a bandage or a bandage with brilliant green) - 1.
Zelenka (do not need iodine, it certainly does not get so dirty, but it is worse for open wounds and heals worse) - 1.
Hydrogen peroxide - 1.
Activated charcoal is a thing of the past. We take Laktofiltrum - 2 plates.
Loperamide (preparation Lopedium) - 1 plate.
Ketanov or Nise. Painkiller - 1 plate.
Paracetamol tablets - 1 plate.
Validol - 1 plate.
No-shpa - 1 plate.
Aquatabs (for water disinfection) - 3 plates.
Needle (thin) and threads in case of suturing wounds. Only synthetics - 1 set. Disinfect with the same green. At the same time, they will fit in the economy.
Drugs as needed (everyone knows their illnesses).

2. Food "comfort".
"Comfort" is not a ration for the whole trip. This is what will allow you not to start starving in the first two or three days, as well as diversify your diet and help in case hunting and other fishing are unsuccessful.
Belarusian stew or "GOST". Only beef. 3 banks.
Soup in packages (not all sorts of "hot mugs", but Soviet, which must be boiled) 3 packages for 4 servings.
Crackers or bread. Dry. Vanilla crackers are great, but without poppy seeds and without raisin nuts.
Salt. 300 grams minimum.
Sugar (or better - condensed milk in a plastic pack with a lid, like mayonnaise, is good for tea, and bake apples found on the way, and with a cold).
Black tea (not green, not bags - ordinary black large-leaf, without fragrant perversions).
Coffee (can be instant, but better ground).
Chocolate (restores strength, helps to warm up).
200 g of vodka in a flask (when wet, when cooled, for disinfection, when drinking dirty water).
The rest is to taste and load capacity.

3. Equipment:
Sleeping bag (watch the comfort temperature, do not take hot and cold).
The rug is self-inflating (light, takes up a minimum of space, soft).
Dry fuel (no need to get out, in the forest no one sees the use of such "not cool" things, and fuel will save the life of a beginner in dampness).
Hunting matches (do not get wet, do not break ... and a lighter only if you smoke, in a swamp or in the rain, there is NO sense from it for a fire).
Knife. Good, reliable, thick, NOT foldable and without vy...s.
Hatchet or machete. Better - a hatchet (a machete is good, but if you don’t know how to use it, then immediately see the “first aid kit” item.
Rocket launcher and six missiles. Two green, four red. It costs - a penny, benefits - a ton. A red rocket is a signal "for help", a green one is "I'm here." And the rocket launcher scares away and sometimes even kills animals.
A skein of strong fishing line or green "braid", six sinkers, ten hooks, two floats. They weigh nothing and take up no space. If there is nothing to eat, it will be necessary to catch food. If you have to catch in the river, then before you catch 1 fish out of inexperience, you will miss 5 sets)) Also, fishing line / braid and hooks are used to catch small animals and birds.
Army cauldron with a lid-plate.
Mug
Spoon fork set.
Crap tape. Don't take the regular one. Take wet wipes. They are useful for both toilet and hygiene.
Raincoat awning. This is not a raincoat weighing 3 silt, which is neither a raincoat nor a tent ... This is a square bag 20 by 20 by 3 cm, which can be either a long poncho with a hood in the rain or an awning.

4. Clothes:
It is chosen according to the season and taste, but what should be required ...
Boots with high berets. Shoes must ALWAYS fix the ankle. If you twist your leg in some ravine without them, only archaeologists will find you later.
Many neglect, but I highly recommend with you rubber boots. For dampness, snakes. In front of the entrance to the swamp, a large blueberry, raspberry, low shrub, just a damp place - do not be lazy, change your shoes or go around.
Woolen socks. Necessarily. Just no camels. Plain wool socks.
Windbreaker, encephalitka or any other windbreaker, which has ALL entrances with elastic bands (waist, sleeves, hood) and which can be put on top of anything - from a naked body to another jacket. This is from ticks and other joys such as fleas of all varieties.

Well, the rest is up to the adventurer's choice. I always take thermal underwear, a bandana and a mosquito net for example.

Before you go to relax in nature, you need to think through all the nuances:

    how will you set up camp;

    what is useful for an overnight stay;

    how to protect yourself from mosquitoes and other insects;

    how to make a fire;

    what food is suitable for a snack, and what is suitable for dinner;

    what you will do during your hours of outdoor recreation and much more.

We advise you to draw up a list in advance, familiarize all the members of the event with it, if necessary, supplement it in accordance with your wishes, and then delete the excess, since excess weight in bags will become a significant burden.

After that, it will be more convenient for you to get ready so as not to forget anything. And in this article we will tell you what you need to take on a hike and what things are most necessary.

The key to holding good days in nature, a properly assembled backpack is considered, which will fit all the universal and practical objects in everyday life. The main thing is to prevent overload, because of which you will not be able to move quickly.

When making fees, consider many factors. First of all, decide on the route of your tourist adventure and check the area on the map. It is also worth considering the approximate length of the day, because this way you will know the point of your overnight stay, which you must reach before dusk. In preparation for the tour, pay attention also to:

    The age of friends. If elderly people or children are traveling with you, daily movements will be significantly reduced.

    The number of people in attendance. This depends on the size of the tents and their number. A set of food is also calculated.

    Season of the year. Choose the right equipment and materials from which it is made. It is important not to freeze in winter, and not to overheat in the heat.

    The relief of the area. Different boots are suitable for mountainous plains and forests. Soft ground does not require a hard platform, while rocks and stones are overcome only in trekking shoes.

For convenient and fast movement along the planned route with a fairly comfortable speed, the weight of a backpack for men should not exceed thirty kilograms, and for women - fifteen.

How to spend time on school country trips

Many educational organizations conduct tourist trips in which children and several adults participate. Therefore, parents always puzzle themselves: “What should a schoolboy take with him on the road for a hike?” All of the above tips are great for teenagers as well. It is worth adding only a small inventory, as it can be useful for spending outdoor recreation in the company of your classmates. This includes sports such as:

    tennis;

    badminton;

    frisbee;

    jump ropes and more.

All household items in tourism are divided into four groups.

An example is a map with a route, a compass, comfortable shoes, walking sticks, a navigator, a flashlight. That's all you need on the road.

It is appropriate to include a sleeping bag and foam in this category. Sleeping bags vary in size: from children's specimens to adults. The label also indicates the minimum air temperature at which it will be comfortable to sleep inside the product. The mats are very light weight, so they won't make it difficult for you to move. However, in the parking lot you will be glad that you took them - they prevent the penetration of cold.

To stay in the forest for the night, take a tent with you on the road. Its size is determined depending on the number of people. Modern models are very compactly packed and quickly disassembled. It is best that it has two layers. The top will protect from dew and rain.

To make a fire, you should take matches and paper with you, with which you can kindle brushwood. If there is a risk that there is no dry firewood in the forest, then it will be important to grab the ignition fluid. Remember that according to the legislation of the Russian Federation it is forbidden to kindle a fire on the ground, so take a folding brazier. It will be convenient to control the fire on it, as well as heat water in a pot or fry a barbecue.

At the halt you will need: a knife, cutlery, a cutting board, disposable tableware, skewers, seasonings, cereals, canned food, meat, and drinks. We advise you to take non-carbonated water. It best quenches thirst and saves from heat. If you plan to travel for a long time, then there is a need to bring a gas burner with you. It is very convenient to quickly heat food with it.

Do not take perishable products, carefully study the expiration date and storage conditions on the packaging. If the event takes place in the summer, a cooler bag will become a topical item.

The tourist will need the following items:

  • Phone to call for help if needed.

    Camera or camera.

    Personal hygiene products.

    Entertainment equipment: fishing rod with baits, card and board games, the above sports equipment.

When choosing equipment, look for:

    good breathability;

    ease;

    fast drying.

If you have a question about what from the list of things for a tourist to take with you on a hike, stop at the most basic, without which you cannot do without. Anything else that you don't need will only add extra weight and interfere with movement in mountainous terrain and steep hills.

It is better to choose T-shirts, socks and other underwear with thermal protection. Wear a T-shirt with no seams under a shirt with sleeves, as they can create discomfort when wearing a backpack and rub your shoulders.

In the hot and stuffy summer period, it is better to take shorts and trousers from hiking clothes for the evening. Payta is well suited, not made of light material with an elongated sleeve and even a collar. It will not impede your movement, it will well protect against direct sunlight on the skin and insects that can harm your health and general condition. In order not to harm yourself and not spoil the rest, it is also advisable to take a protective cream with you.

Going to the mountains and collecting things for a hike in the forest, pay attention to the cooked outerwear. It should protect the owner from wind and all kinds of precipitation. Suitable for winter travel ski suits marked "tex". They do not impede movement, perfectly retain body temperature.

Be sure to pay attention to the selection of jackets. She needs to:

    was performed on puffs;

    had a lining mesh and a high-quality base;

    consisted of an inner skirt that protects against the penetration of moisture in rainy or snowy weather, a strong penetrating wind.

Suits for winter sports and tourism are suitable for all the above requirements, designed specifically for outdoor activities and which can be purchased at the Stayer online store. Here you can pick up what you need: overalls that protect from wind and snow, down jackets and equipment sets.

The company "Stayer" stands out for the quality of its products and affordable price among such brands as:

    "Fiber";

    "Tony Sailor";

    "Sport Alen";

    Salomon and the like.

If you and your company decide to go on a hiking tour in the cold season, you should know what is needed for a hike in the winter. Take care of:

    warm hat;

    insulated sneakers;

    gloves

    thermal underwear;

    down jacket with a hood;

    pants with filler;

    balaclava;

    natural wool socks.

All of the above types of things are best selected on a fleece basis. Such material is an indispensable find for a simple tourist. An example would be when, under any circumstances, you get your clothes wet. Fleece dries quickly.

What can you take with you when going on a hike? Here is a list of required items. You can always supplement and correct it:

    tent, backpack;

  1. sleeping bag;

    map (compass);

    utensils: a bowler hat, skewers, a mug, a deep plate, disposable tableware, cutlery, a knife;

  2. first aid kit (a standard set of medicines, consisting of tablets, disinfectants, personal hygiene products);

    matches and lighter;

    products, water;

    phone or other items with which you can contact the outside world.

What else will you need every day of the trip

Leaving familiar conditions Everyday life, do not forget about your health, cleanliness of the body. Take with you:

    toothbrush and paste;

    liquid soap and shampoo;

    toilet paper, wet wipes;

    Not a large number of cotton buds;

    comb;

    towel;

    laundry detergent;

    dishwashing detergent and a sponge.

Girls should also take care of cotton pads, hair ties, cosmetics, and men should not forget about shaving accessories. Remember that all of the above personal hygiene items should belong only to you.

Do not take too much, because you will still need to carry group equipment. Its approximate weight is 6-8 kg.

Medicines for tourists

What you need to take on a hike from medicines, you need to decide on your own. After all, everyone has their own diseases and methods of their treatment. To the personal list of drugs that should be with you on the road, you can add:

    antispasmodic;

    peroxide, iodine, brilliant green;

    elastic and simple sterile bandage;

    adhesive plaster;

    Activated carbon;

    broad spectrum antibiotic;

    antiseptic;

    antiviral and anti-infective drugs;

    nasal drops;

    painkiller.

Camping trips are not easy. Each member of a tourist excursion is puzzled by the problem of taking everything with them and leaving nothing at home. To do this, we advise you to pre-compile a list.

A tourist should never forget that any unforeseen situation may arise on the road. Therefore, when going on a trip, it is necessary to warn someone close to you about this. Be sure to give a date for your return, as late arrival may be a signal of an emergency that a group of people needs.

A well-planned plan is the key to a successful trip. We have offered you general recommendations, an individual list will be drawn up on a case-by-case basis. However, follow two basic rules:

    take everything the group cannot do without;

    Cross out everything that is not necessary.

We wish you exciting and safe excursions!

Packing for a hike is not an easy task, as it is important to take everything you need and not forget anything. Hiking in the forest with an overnight stay allows you to take a break from the city noise, escape from problems. To make the trip successful, think over its duration and place in advance. Not the last role is played by the season. For beginners in tourism, the warm season is suitable, because in the cold it will be difficult to do without the help of experienced tourists.

The traveler's backpack should weigh as little as possible, otherwise the trip will be ruined. This is especially true for those who are not accustomed to carrying heavy loads. By getting rid of a couple of useless things, you will save energy and strength for a pleasant pastime.

On a trip to the forest with an overnight stay for a day, they take a backpack with a volume of 15 to 35 liters. No less than 55 liters should be a backpack for those who are going to travel for several days. Volumes, weight and contents of backpacks depend on the season.

If you are going to spend the night in the forest, take a tent. It will shelter from bad weather, wind, forest dwellers. When the air temperature drops below +10 degrees, you will need a sleeping bag. The number of tents and their capacity is calculated depending on the number of people. For a small group, one tent is enough, for a large group it is worth taking several.

If you have to spend the night in the forest without a tent or in the cold, take a karemat. A light rug will serve as a mattress and additional insulation, and it is more comfortable to sleep on it than on hard forest soil. The thickness is chosen according to individual preferences, and the length is calculated so that it is at least 15 cm. more growth the one who plans to rest on it.

Choice of clothes

For hiking, choose light, preferably waterproof sportswear by season. The jacket must have a hood. Take a raincoat in autumn, spring and summer.

What clothes to take on a hike: * Fleece jacket - warm on a cool evening and protect against insects. When it is not available, you can take knitted sweater but it's not that convenient. The advantage of fleece over other fabrics is its strength, density and ability to retain heat well. It is also worth wearing on a winter hike. * A seasonal headdress will protect you from the sun, insects or keep you warm in the cold. * Warm socks, a couple of T-shirts, comfortable sleepwear, depending on the season. * Trekking shoes or any light and comfortable shoes, always with embossed soles. Great if it's waterproof. Keds and sneakers are not suitable for the role of the main hiking shoes - they tear easily, have a thin sole, which is why every pebble will be felt when walking. They are only suitable as a replacement pair.

Things made of denim should not be worn - they are heavy, can rub the skin, and interfere with walking when wet.

What else is useful on a trip

A list of necessary things compiled in advance will not allow you to forget something important. This is especially true for beginners. The first thing you need to put in your backpack is a first aid kit.

It should contain: * antipyretics; * dressings and disinfectants; * drugs for pain relief; * medicines for diarrhea and vomiting.

People with chronic diseases need to include in the list of drugs that they take constantly. Next on the list should be a flashlight, a lighter or a box of matches, a container of water, sewing thread with a needle, insect repellent and for personal hygiene. Grab your passport or any identity document.

During the trip, you will have to cook food, for which you will need utensils. It should be lightweight and reusable.

What to take for a small tourist group: * at least one deep bowl, ladle; * bowler with a volume of 5-7 liters; * a medium-sized frying pan; * mugs, preferably made of plastic, according to the number of people; * knife in a case; * spoons, if desired - forks; * kettle; * bowls.

Food

Remember - for the trip to be successful, always take enough food. Having put the necessary items of clothing and cutlery in backpacks, start filling it with food products that combine: * the duration of the shelf life without special conditions; * ease of weight; * high calorie and nutritional value.

Canned food is a good option for a hike, but you can’t call them light because of the cans. Two cans are enough for one tourist. Take dried meat and vegetables, which will make a wonderful soup. For a quick dinner or lunch, use the simplified option - buy instant porridge or soup that does not require cooking.

Camping sweets, convenient in storage and transportation - sweets and chocolate. Sweets contain a large amount of sugar, which fills the body with calories that give strength. You can take some nuts and a jar of condensed milk. Don't forget the tea leaves.

Choosing a place to stay

The place where you plan to spend the night, choose and equip before dark. The following requirements are imposed on him: * Stop for the night should be where there is an elevation, there are no hollows, ravines, channels of dried up rivers, which, when precipitation falls, can flood the parking lot. You can not stop under the coastal canopies and large trees. * Find dry firewood suitable for making a fire. They should last all night. * Arrange for the night closer to the reservoir. Well, when it is flowing.

Spending the night in the forest takes place by the fire, so the next stage of preparation is to find a place suitable for him. You can make a fire in a hole or a small hollow. In their absence, a soddy layer is removed from the ground, the area of \u200b\u200bwhich should exceed the size of the hearth.

The site is lined with large earthen clods of vegetation down. At a distance of one or two meters from the fire, all twigs, leaves and dried grass are removed. It is especially important to do this in dry weather at positive air temperatures.

You can cook food on an ordinary fire, which looks like a hut or a well. If you just need to spend the night and warm up, the fire is folded according to your own preferences.

A convenient option for cooking on a hike is the "Finnish candle".

Bed preparation

Having put a pot of soup or porridge on the fire, they proceed to prepare a bed. In the cold season, you need to clear the place from what can catch fire and build a fire. When the fire goes out, you need to remove the coals, re-clean and make a flooring from branches or spruce branches. A tent is set up on top.

For those who are going to spend the night in the forest in winter, it is recommended to have a hacksaw or a compact hatchet. Tools will allow you to prepare firewood for the fire and chop spruce branches, on which a sleeping place will be equipped.

When you have to spend the night in the autumn or summer forest, but there is no tent, a place to rest is prepared from improvised materials. Thick and thin poles, branches and spruce branches, a mat or a sleeping bag are placed on the ground.

The place of sleep is located so that sparks do not fly to it. The head should be on the leeward side. To save heat, make a wall or canopy of branches. In the presence of a sleeping bag, the couch is equipped even further from the source of fire. When you have to spend the night by the reservoir and there is a boat, a temporary forest bed is settled in it.

In cloudy or rainy weather, a canopy will replace the tent. When there are no trees standing at a short distance from each other, stakes are driven into the ground and any waterproof material or rope is tied tightly between them, on which branches of trees, pines, and fir trees are laid.

Go to bed only in dry clothes. If things get wet, dry them by the fire.

Overnight in the forest in winter with a tent

Arrange a sleeping place in a coniferous forest or pine forest, where it is dry and not too windy. The tent is placed on lightly trampled snow, and inside it is lined with a thick polyurethane mat to protect against the cold coming from below.

A simple tourist tent without insulation is covered with polyethylene from the outside, sprinkled with snow for hydro and thermal insulation. Make sure that the frame is not damaged under the weight of snow. Winter tents are not additionally insulated.

Overnight in winter forest in a tent is convenient if you have a sleeping bag. They lie down in it, taking off their outer clothing. Thermal underwear that lets moisture out and prevents hypothermia will become a comfortable suit for sleeping.

There is no open fire in the tent. To heat the bed, stones heated on fire or a closed gas burner are used.

Winter camping without a tent

Spending the night in the forest in winter without a tent requires the construction of a solid shelter that will protect from wind and rain. At air temperatures down to -15 degrees, a group of several people can sleep in a canopy closed on one side only. For a lone traveler, a snow trench will serve as a resting place.

Overnight stay in the forest for one person is arranged as follows: * The snow is cleared so that the ground is visible. * The flooring is made from branches of coniferous trees. * Laid out karemat and sleeping bag. * A rope is pulled over the bed, which is tied to trees. Spruce branches or a tarpaulin are laid out on it, which are fixed with snow. * A burner is placed in the resulting structure, in extreme cases - a candle.

A company that has gathered in the winter for a hike in the forest with an overnight stay without a tent can use a single-slope canopy. A bonfire is set up near it, which will warm, give light and help overcome the fear of the forest inhabitants.

There are other ways to organize a sleeping place in the cold season: * building a snow igloo; * tunnel in a snowdrift; * inclined canopy under a fallen tree or on tripods.

Those who are haunted by the fear of freezing while sleeping should take care of the tent. Rest in the most comfortable conditions for a tourist will turn the path covered in a day into an interesting adventure, and not a test of strength.

In our time, when many people cannot imagine life without a car, subway and many hours of sitting at a computer, more and more people prefer to spend their holidays away from the city and closer to nature.

Recreation in nature is always good and useful. In warm weather, such a rest is an excellent psychological and mental relaxation.

Someone leaves for the whole vacation to foreign beauties, and someone prefers to wander through Russian forests, enjoy the riot of colors, dream along the river with a fishing rod.

If you want to have a good time, then go hiking in the forest. There you will find many impressions, fun adventures, as well as difficulties that will help us to test our own character and possibilities.

What to take with you on a hike in the forest? This question arises for every person who does not have much experience in field affairs. Therefore, let's find the answer to it together and get together on a forest trip in accordance with all the rules:

Backpack. This is the very first thing you need for a hike. The backpack should be roomy enough and suitable in size for the one who will carry it. Therefore, refuse the huge tourist backpack with a metal base carefully offered by a neighbor.

If you do not have a backpack, then run to the store and buy the first one that comes across. travel backpack not at all necessary. You need to think carefully about this serious purchase, because you buy a backpack for more than one outing into the forest.

Tent, sleeping bag and mat. If the hike is without an overnight stay, then a tent and a bag may not be needed. But if you are going on a hike with a large company, then a tent or awning will come in handy.

Tents are different in size (number of beds), so you need to agree with friends who takes and carries the tent.

Waterproof bag. Be sure to bring a waterproof bag with you. Regardless of the weather or your balance (when crossing streams and rivers), all your things and products will remain dry.

Axe, saw. They are needed for preparing firewood, logs for sitting, tent pegs (if you are using old canvas tents). For the whole group, 1 copy of both is enough. Put them in a bag or wrap them in a tarp.

Equipment for fishing. In general, if you have laid a route past a river or lake, a float, fishing line, sinker and fishing hook will not be superfluous. They do not take up much space in the backpack, but with their help you can arrange a wonderful lunch. By the way, a fishing line with a hook can come in handy when hunting small animals and birds.

Clothes for the trip and things to take with you. Comfortable clothes and loose shoes. Clothing for the hike should be selected according to the weather. You should not go into the forest in shorts and sandals. A light jacket with a hood, socks, a T-shirt, a hat, comfortable worn-in sneakers (never wear new shoes on a hike).

Matches and everything you need to set up a campfire. Matches, a hatchet, paper for lighting a fire.

and mosquitoes. These insects can ruin your vacation, so take action in time and take repellent sprays or creams on your hike.

Food. The list of products that will be needed on the hike should be discussed in advance with everyone who is going to hike with you.

But you can take with you to chew: crackers, cookies, lollipops. be sure to take a bottle of mineral or plain water.

Dishes. A metal mug, a spoon, a bowl, a regular and canning knife, a bowler hat, a ladle, camping pots, a frying pan. Enough 1-2 for the whole group. Of course, you don't need a frying pan. But if you take a small one with you for frying, you can improve the quality of camping food by frying fish on a fire or mushrooms, for example.

First aid kit and personal hygiene products. Be sure to take soap on an overnight camping trip, toothpaste and a brush.

If you are going camping for one day, then wet wipes or paper towels, toilet paper will come in handy.

You also need to take a first aid kit on a hike: a bandage, a bactericidal plaster, iodine or brilliant green, painkillers, insect bites, antihistamines.

Be sure to carefully consider the preparation for outdoor recreation and then your trip will not be able to overshadow any unexpected and unforeseen situations.
