Column skirt without a crochet. How to crochet a skirt - description and patterns

More than five centuries ago, such a type of clothing as a skirt appeared in the women's wardrobe. However, cavemen can also be called the creators of the first outfits of this kind. Loincloths can be safely categorized as the first mini-skirts. To this day, this type of clothing is at the peak of fame. A variety of styles can radically change the female image. Long skirts to the floor give femininity and mystery to the image of a lady. The "mini" style emphasizes the sexuality of the girl. woman in dress middle length looks modest and cute. But they give a special charm and charm female image crochet skirts, no matter how long they are.

If you are going to knit your first model, then choose a not-so-contiguous, simple silhouette. Experience is needed to knit a model of an adjacent, complex silhouette. Start with something simpler.

Before knitting, carefully read the description of the work. Indeed, even due to the incorrect interpretation of a bracket or a comma, the instruction may seem incomprehensible, which will seriously complicate your work.

Beautiful, airy, openwork crocheted skirts can favorably emphasize all the advantages female figure. If the lower part of the body is not in ideal proportions, then you can also hide these shortcomings with the help of a properly selected model.

Crochet motive skirts: patterns, description

Products from motives are convenient in that knitting individual elements is faster. But when assembling a whole product, beginner needlewomen may experience difficulties. Therefore, it is better for beginners to choose rectangular or square patterns, and leave round, floral patterns to professionals. Before work, you need to do a few preparatory steps.

  1. Take measurements.
  2. Draw a pattern.
  3. Tie the motif, measure its dimensions in centimeters.
  4. Correlate the dimensions of the motif with the pattern (you can schematically measure the location of the motifs, then you will see how much “lack” or bust).
  5. Make an adjustment, that is, with a slight shortage, scatter centimeters for tying all the motives in several rows. When "brute force" either modify the pattern (but then it should be repeated throughout the product), or also scatter centimeters on other motifs.

You can alternate motifs with loin pattern or columns. First, on simple patterns it is easier and imperceptibly to increase or decrease loops, and then attach motives. Once all the calculations have been made, it remains to crochet the skirt.

The floral motif is knitted with wool in the style of guipure lace. If there is no crochet experience, then pick up another floral motif, easier to perform. Read the diagram carefully. First, knit the core of the flower from single crochets. Then knit eight petals. Please note that with this moment back knitting.

The tops of the flower consist of columns with one and three crochets, "slingshots", arches and "picot". The connection of elements occurs through the "pico". In addition to whole floral elements, use "half flower" elements with 5 petals and small leaves to get a dense, "opaque" product (meaning a crochet skirt). The scheme of guipure elements is shown in the figure. As soon as all the elements are connected, place them on the pattern, sew them together. Sew on an underskirt. Please note: the larger the pattern, the more space. You fill them with either small elements, or sew a petticoat in a contrasting color (then the pattern looks brighter). If you don’t want to sew, then knit the main fabric with a dense pattern so that the product does not shine through, and decorate the bottom with lace.

Skirt "Flower" crochet

To work, you will need 500 grams of pink yarn and 150 grams of white (100% cotton, 260 m / 50 g), hook number 2.

The skirt consists of hexagonal and pentagonal motifs connected to each other in the process of knitting the last row. To do this, it is necessary to replace the middle loop of the arc with a connecting st b / n.

Start work with a hexagon located in the second row of the diagram. Run 6 hexagon motifs and connect the resulting strip into a ring. Attach each subsequent skirt motif during the last row to the finished canvas, placing the motif according to the diagram.

Flower to perform according to the scheme by changing the color of the yarn, as shown in the photo.

Make the first strip from pentagonal motifs to get a smooth edge. To do this, dial 6 VP, close them in a ring. Then, in the second row of the flower pattern, knit 15 sts with H (instead of 18 columns). Continue knitting the flower according to the scheme, resulting in a flower with five petals.

1 strip
1 row - 3 VP, 2-3 rows - 4 VP, 4-6 rows - 5 VP,
2 lane
1-3 rows - 3 VP, 4 row - 4 VP, 5-6 rows - 5 VP,
3 lane
1-3 rows - 3 VP, 4 row - 4 VP, 5-7 rows - 5 VP, 8 row - 6 VP,
4 lane
1-3 rows - 3 VP, 4 row - 4 VP, 5-7 rows - 5 VP, 8-10 rows - 6 VP.

The size of the motif is easy to change by changing the number of last rows.

Belt. On the top of the skirt, knit three rows of mesh, for this, alternate 3 sts with H and 1 VP. In the second row - 3 sts with H to knit in air loop the previous row. Tie the belt with single crochets.

Pull the cord through the holes in the belt.
Tie the bottom of the skirt with single crochets.

I suggest you knit an interesting and warm skirt - a transformer.

The skirt is knitted very easily and simply, and to complete it, you will need to knit separate motifs from different colors of yarn.

First, select the yarn and the corresponding hook.

Next, we proceed to knitting strictly according to the scheme presented below.

We connect ready-made motives in a checkerboard pattern with each other. Sew on a large button at the waist. And so the first transformation - a crochet knitted short skirt - on the smell.

The second option for using such a skirt is as a warm cape. Throwing it over your shoulders and using the tightest button, we fasten it and keep warm from the cold in the cold season.

As you can see, knitting a transformer skirt is easy, fast and very practical. Since it can be used in several ways, knit it for yourself and use it however you like.

An indispensable thing in the wardrobe of a modern fashionista - depending on what patterns for knitted skirt you use - it can be openwork and light, ideal for summer or dense and warm - for the cold season. it can be long or short, fitting the shape of the hips and legs or lush, with flounces and frills, pleated and embossed patterns.

Before you start knitting a skirt, you should decide for what season and for what occasion you will need this ultra-fashionable wardrobe item. Having decided on what style your product will be, you should think about choosing a knitting density, which is determined by patterns for a knitted skirt.

Note that this particular wardrobe detail does not require particularly advanced skills and abilities from the needlewoman. All you need to build and knit your own skirt is a pattern chart and a pattern that is built according to your body proportions.

Crochet - patterns for a knitted skirt: some useful tips for knitters

  1. The skirt is best knitted in a circle. knitting direction - from top to bottom. Remember that the width of the belt of your knitted skirt should be equal to the circumference of the hips. Why is it better to knit a skirt from top to bottom? Firstly, it is easier to measure it while working on the product. Also, when knitting from top to bottom, it is easier to make increases - if you want a flared model. Also, when knitting a skirt top down, it is easier to determine the length of the product. You can also knit a skirt in two parts - in the round from the hip line up, and in the round from the hip line down. Or the yoke (skirt belt) is knitted separately (in the round), and the hem of the skirt is knitted down.

2. For a yoke, cast on a number of loops equal to the circumference of the hips. In order for the ubka to be held securely, a cord can be passed through the belt from air loops or decorative strap.
3. We calculate the number of loops for the skirt so that there are 1-2 cm of stock around the circumference of the hips. This is necessary in order to minimize the deformation and stretching of the skirt during wear.
4. If you have any doubts about the need for tailoring the petticoat sheath, feel free to brush them aside. A cover made of lining, a little sliding fabric is needed in any case. For warm skirts, this can be a silk underskirt, and for summer skirts, it can be thin. cotton fabric. The underskirt is sewn to the knitted belt - the top one. For reliability, you can sew the petticoat to the top and bottom - in two places.

5. If you chose openwork patterns for a knitted skirt as your option, then the hem should be made a little shorter than the length you want, due to the fact that under the weight of the fabric it usually stretches below when worn.

6. Patterns for a knitted skirt can be different - that is, you can and even need to combine different patterns for crochet. So, the yoke and part of the hem in the area of the hips and buttocks are usually knitted in a dense and not loose pattern. This will help you avoid overexposure. I recommend using dense, not loose patterns - and not in order to avoid unnecessary “shine through”. The upper, denser part of the skirt can also be started with a smaller number of crochets. However, you will then have to dial more loops. Then we move on to the hook bigger size and thus achieve a natural flare of the skirt from the hip line.

One of these wardrobe items, which enjoys constant success with women, is a knitted skirt. It can be both summer and winter. And on women, a long skirt to the floor, made with an openwork ornament, looks especially impressive. It is recommended to crochet.

What is so great about this painting?

  1. it does not wrinkle and retains its appearance for a long time;
  2. moderately stretches and “fits” well on the figure;
  3. depending on the thickness of the thread and the density of knitting, it can be either thin or warm;
  4. universally suitable for all women in various situations, if you correctly choose the style of the product.

It should be noted that the canvas crochet, 2 times thicker than knitting from a similar thread. Therefore, it is worth giving preference to yarn of small and medium thickness, and also knit a small control sample before starting work in order to evaluate the pattern of the product in reality and calculate the number of loops.

You can influence the density of the product by selecting a tool. Yarn labels usually indicate the recommended hook size. If you take a larger number, then the canvas will turn out to be looser, if it is smaller, it will be denser.

The composition of the yarn also matters for a knitted skirt. For summer models better choose natural composition such as 100% cotton or linen. Mixed options (for example, cotton with viscose or with the addition of silk) will give the product a shine and a flowing effect. Wool-blend yarn with the addition of acrylic is suitable for knitting thick warm skirts. However, such a thing may eventually stretch a little under its weight.

SKIRTS

M Many girls love to wear skirts. After all, they allow you to make your wardrobe more diverse. Changing blouses, shirts, over which you can wear a vest or knitted blouse, you will always look beautiful and elegant.

Now let's learn how to build patterns according to all the rules.

To build a straight skirt pattern, you need to measure:

1 - skirt length, 2 - waist circumference, 3 - hip circumference, 4 - length along the side line from the waist to the hips (the widest part of the hips). (Fig. 118).

Rice. 118

Having made the necessary measurements, prepare a pattern for your size. (Fig. 119 a)

Rice. 119

1.
Take a sheet of paper. Fold it in half vertically and draw a line along the middle of the skirt along this straight line.

2. At the top at a right angle, mark the WAISTLINE.

3. From the waist line down along the middle line, set aside the length of the skirt (1) and draw the BOTTOM LINE of the SKIRT through the resulting point.

4. From the waist down along the middle line, set aside size 4 and draw a HIPS LINE through the resulting point.

On all three lines, set aside the desired dimensions:

1. Along the waist line (2), set aside 1/4 of the waist circumference from the middle line - point A.

2. On the line of the hips (3), set aside 1/4 of the circumference of the hips from the midline - point B.

3. On the line of the bottom of the skirt, set aside the same size - 1/4 of the circumference of the hips - point B. But if you want the skirt to be a little wider at the bottom, then add 2-3 cm.

4. Connect points A, B, C and you will get a side line.

Take this double-folded sheet of paper and cut out the pattern along the marked lines. Then expand the sheet. This will be the half skirt pattern. (Fig. 119 b).

If you knit a skirt from the bottom up, then you can decrease the loops from the hips to the waist both along the side line on both sides, and evenly along the entire row, if the knitting pattern allows.

And vice versa, starting the skirt from the waist line down, you will increase the loops. The knitted fabric must exactly match the dimensions of the pattern. Remember that any product must be knitted only according to the pattern and in no case “by eye”.

Let's learn how to knit flared skirts.

I option.

Take the half skirt pattern. Divide the top and bottom into 5 identical parts and connect the resulting points with vertical lines. Along these lines you will knit 4 finishing elongated loops. (Fig. 120).

Rice. 120

The entire skirt is made with single crochet. Try to calculate on the sample how many columns you need to tie for each wedge.

For example: you have tied 19 stitches (19x5=95 stitches). There will be 6 dividing lines on the front panel of the skirt - 4 between the wedges and 2 along the edges. So, 95 columns (or loops) + 6 loops = 101 loops. To this number, add 2 loops for the height of the row. Therefore, it is necessary to tie a chain of 103 loops. Then, starting from the 3rd stitch from the hook, work single crochet into each stitch of the chain. There should be 101 columns in the row. Knit another row. At the beginning of each row for height, chain 1. Starting from the third row, knit elongated loops. To do this, after making one air loop, insert the hook into the first column of the first row of knitting (that is, two rows below). Pull up a long loop, yarn over and again pull another long loop from that first column. Knit all 4 loops on the hook with one air loop. So perform all the elongated loops. (Fig. 121). Knit them in odd rows - in the third, seventh, eleventh and so on.

Rice. 121

In order for the skirt to gradually taper, decrease the loops evenly through an equal number of rows. To do this, alternately from the left, then from the right side elongated loop skip 1 stitch of each wedge without knitting it. Do not forget to check the size of the skirt with the pattern all the time.

The back panel is knitted in the same way, only there will be four dividing lines. So, to start knitting, you will dial 101 loops. Having connected both halves of the skirt, sew it along the side lines. Tie a narrow belt with single crochets (you can use threads of a different color) and pull it through.

II option.

Take the pattern you made for the previous skirt.

Start knitting from the bottom. Work 5-6 rows with single crochets, and then move on to the main pattern. 2 chain stitches for row height, 10 double crochets in 10 stitches of the previous row, skip 3 loops, in the fourth knit 3 double crochets, 1 air loop and 3 more double crochets in the same loop, skip 3 loops and then knit from before . At the end of the row - 1 double crochet for a smooth edge.

To make the skirt gradually narrower, remove 1 column every 8-10 rows, that is, knit not 10, but 9 columns; after another 8-10 rows 8 columns, etc.

So, comparing the skirt with the pattern, narrow it down to the desired size.

IIIoption.

It works well with a skirt knitted from the waist from top to bottom. In this version, we will introduce you to the front closure skirt.
First, knit a small sample and count the required number of loops. At the same time, remember that the pattern must begin and end with the same pattern. (Fig. 122).

Rice. 122

Tie a chain of air loops around the waist, not taking into account the width of the bar.

Increase the loops gradually after 8-10 rows.

If you want the skirt to be more flared, then from the hip line you need to make an increase after 4-6 rows. The increase in loops also depends on the length of the skirt. If you are knitting a children's skirt for 2-4 years, then add loops after 4-5 cm, starting from the waist line. And if you knit such a skirt for a girl school age, then increase less frequently.

Finishing, knit 2-3 rows along the edge with single crochets so that the edge of the skirt is tighter.

Then start knitting the strap. Start with the left, which will have buttons. Tie it with single crochets. Knit the first row on the right side of the work from the waist down. At the same time, make sure that the edge of the skirt does not shrink. Count the number of loops and remember this number, because it must match the number of columns of the right plank. Having brought the bar to the desired width, proceed to knitting with the right one. Start also on the front side, but already from the bottom up. Before knitting the loops, having reached the middle of the width of the bar, calculate the knitting of the loops.

Rice. 123

The size of the buttonhole is determined by the size of the button. Lay the button on the bar and see how many columns there are for its diameter. Let's say 4 columns. After that, figure out how many buttons you need in total. Considering that there will also be a button on the belt, place them along the entire length of the bar. (Fig. 123). Place the last button at a distance of 4-5 cm from the edge. Now determine how many stitches you need to knit between the loops. For example: the plank consists of 70 columns. You need to make 4 loops. For knitting one you need 4 columns. So 4 x 4 = 16. 70 bars - 16 bars = 54 bars. From these 54 columns, 8 more must be subtracted, which are knitted after the last loop from the bottom: 54 - 8 \u003d 46. 46 columns must be divided into 4 spaces between the buttons. Moreover, 3 of them will be equal, and the last one (from the loop to the top edge) is slightly smaller. That is, 3 intervals will be 12 columns each and the last one will be 10 columns. Write down this calculation on paper and start knitting buttonholes. Work 8 single crochets from the edge, then chain 4 stitches, skip 4 stitches of the row and work 12 single crochets. (Fig. 124). So repeat from to, but at the end of the row you will only have 10 columns, and not 12, as was calculated.

Rice. 124

Knit the next row with single crochets and knit 4 single crochets under 4 air loops. Next, knit the second half of the strap, equal to the first.

Tie a belt around the waist with single crochets. Make a loop in the middle for the top button. In relation to the loops on the bar, it will be horizontal. (Fig. 125). Knit it from the edge at a distance of 3-4 columns, also skipping 4 loops and making 4 air loops above them.

Rice. 125

And now, for the density of the edge, tie the straps and the belt with a “snail”. To do this, insert the hook into the lowest loop of the left bar. Pick up the thread, pull it through the loop, then pick up the thread again and knit another air loop. So you fixed the edge. Next, insert the hook into the loop back, pick up the thread and pull up the loop. There will be 2 loops on the hook. Pick up the thread and knit these 2 loops. So knit the entire row with single crochets, inserting the hook into the loop back. Such an edge of the product will look neat. (Fig. 126). In the corners, knit 3 columns to turn. So knit a row to the lower edge of the right strap.

Rice. 126

Such a skirt can be associated with embossed lines from convex columns. (Fig. 127).
