Leading stylist at Brush Salon:

“In styling, like Kate Middleton, one of the leading roles is played by the quality of the hair. Therefore, before you start creating curls, and there is nothing complicated here, take care of your hair. Use moisturizers or nourishing masks- then the hair will look better.

Step No. 1

Start preparing for styling, you should still in the shower. Wash your scalp twice with a volumizing and thickening shampoo. Then, on towel-wrapped hair (along the entire length, without going to the roots), apply special care. Keep it on for a couple of minutes and rinse off.

Step #2

Before drying, apply a styling agent. It can be mousse, spray, cream or jelly - it all depends on your preference for fixation. If the tool combines, for example, thermal protection and gives volume, then it will be just fine. Apply it along the entire length, including the roots, and start blow-drying your hair. In order to avoid unnecessary manipulations with combs, I advise you to dry your hair upside down. In this position, it is easiest to achieve natural volume, and this reduces styling time. It is better to dry on medium speed and medium temperature so as not to bloat the hair much. At this stage, it is important for us to completely dry the hair roots. The length should remain slightly damp, approximately 80% dry.

Step #3

When the hair is almost dry, you can proceed to the main styling. Divide the hair into small sections and start pulling the strands away from the face, scrolling the round brush (brushing) a little, paying special attention to the ends. Important: at this stage, the temperature of the hair dryer should be maximum. While the strand is hot, wind it around your finger and secure it at the base with a clip or invisible (this should visually look like large curlers). Thus, go all over the head. After you have secured the last strand, do not touch the hair for 5-10 minutes until it cools down.

Step #4

Then you can disassemble the resulting structure. Remove the clips from your hair and fluff the strands with your hands. Apply a drop of serum or oil to the ends to remove frizz. Then comb your hair gently. If there is not enough basal volume, add it with a special spray (mineral powder or dry shampoo). If desired, you can lightly fix the styling with varnish by spraying it at a sufficient distance from the head (20 cm).

Probably the only woman in the world who, in her 34 years, has never experimented with hair color - we have never seen such constancy!

However, some of Kate's appearances, especially early ones, raise a number of questions. For example, what is that rope in her hair? Hm…

Popular

In her student years, Kate conquered Prince William with her naturalness - she really almost did not use cosmetics.

And yet, approaching the royal family, Kate had to play by the new rules - light makeup, hats and classic curls.

Once upon a time, Kate wore long bangs that practically covered her eyes. To be honest, we like it much better without the bangs!

The hair of Prince William's wife has long been the envy of all of Britain - and for good reason!

And despite the fact that the hair looks perfect, we can’t help criticizing Katherine’s makeup - this shaded black pencil adds years to the Duchess and makes her look tired.

Kate Middleton really suits pale pink shades - they are refreshing! True, the pencil on the lower and upper eyelids still wants to be shaded well ...

A hat, curls and a snow-white smile, like from a toothpaste advertisement - this is how a real princess should look like!

Hairstyle "Malvina" is very suitable for girls with an oval face shape - Kate has exactly that case.

One of the memorable exits of the Duchess - she not only decided to remove her hair (usually the star wears exclusively loose), but also made light smokey eyes. Perfect!

This hairstyle in the style of the 70s looks great on lush and shiny hair, and the image itself as a whole is chosen just fine. This time, the Duchess's stylist can be given an "A".

And again, we see Katherine's main enemy - unshaded eyeliner. It looks especially bad on the lower eyelid ...

And this image of Kate is flawless largely thanks to the hair - twisted at the ends, they beautifully frame the face and look feminine.

They say that Kate Middleton does not have her own make-up artist and we willingly believe it. A professional simply could not make up his eyes like that!

Everything is perfect in this exit - a pillbox hat, and a hairstyle, and earrings ... If not for the notorious eyeliner. Kate, we're already tired of her!

Dear ones, we are extremely pleased that the column "Alex Contier recommends" is popular. There are a lot of letters every day, and that's great! Just in case, we immediately inform you: this is an ongoing project. Anyone who wants to get advice from a hairdresser who Milla Jovovich trusts, just send me an email [email protected] a letter with photos (preferably several), a story about yourself and a clearly formulated question. And - be patient. Sooner or later, your head will be dismantled bone by bone :)

Today, for example, Luba Morzharetto was lucky.

Luba writes about herself:

About the haircut:
I'm 23. For as long as I can remember, I always wore long hair - not counting the forced bob haircut in childhood, after which I purposefully grew the length. I am feminine by nature and I am comfortable with long hair. I like bob haircuts, but I think I will come to them somewhere after 35 - when long hair will be worn, in my opinion, not comme il faut. I tried to change my hair different kind bangs - but the straight line categorically doesn’t suit me, the oblique one got tired at the time, I don’t like it at all.

About color:
I am a natural blonde. By the age of 14, my hair had darkened a little, I considered that light blond was the wrong way, and I began to do highlighting and toning.

At the age of 20, a broken heart and a general dramatic mood demanded drastic changes. Out of caution, I first dyed my hair blond, spent two weeks with it - and dyed it dark.

Gradually, due to a dislike for undertones (light-haired means a seductive blonde; dark-haired means a burning brunette; intermediate options are not considered), I came to a completely dark hair color. I don’t like radical black, and even more so blue-black - in my opinion, it looks cheap. But as a result of the last painting, the color turned out to be quite dark, and now I am trying to gradually get out of it. I like to be a brunette, I don’t want to go back to the light one at all.

About styling:
I'm not ready to spend an hour every morning on this business, especially considering some of my curvature. Therefore, quite often I go with tails, braids, bundles, plaits, etc. I have straight (well, slightly wavy) hair. If I want to go loose, I just dry on a round brush, using some hair oil, and slightly twist the ends in or out with the brush, and then spray the whole thing with varnish. I really like curls - the looser and bigger the better (perfect - Blake Lively as Serena in the first seasons of Gossip Girl), but I can't wind them every day. Moreover, only styling made on tongs with a high heating temperature is holding on to me.

My wishes:
The main problem is volume. It does not exist, and I have not learned how to artificially create it. And in general, I would like to somehow revive the hairstyle and give up boringly hanging straight hair, also of a uniform black color. But in order to still remain long and dark-haired 🙂 And now I seem to want to change something, but I don’t know what and how.

“Really, you better be a brunette! Dark color favorably emphasizes the beauty of the beautiful bright eyes, and the image as a whole is more "sexy". But I'm not at all sure about the homogeneous and radical dark. It is worth trying to add highlights and lighter nuances to this color. The most correct thing is to color with the “shatush” technique in a slightly lighter shade (the difference between dark and light should be no more than 1-2 tones), and then tint the entire head with a shade of 5.31 (this is a single classification for dyes of all brands, so that if you tell the master these numbers, he will understand what it is about). As an example, I offer you the image of Kate Middleton - she is quite a “concrete” brunette, but the hair color is not uniform, but lively:

In order to create volume, first of all, you need to make a haircut with graduation elements, without changing the overall length of the hair. And then at home use shampoo and conditioner for volume on straight hair. In your case, I recommend the products of the American brand Aloxxi - according to my observations, they really work. American Allure in 2012 even gave them the Best of Beauty award in this category.

Next, for styling, try Kerastase Volume Gel. An excellent tool, recently released - does not weigh down the hair at all, is economically consumed, lifts the hair well at the roots and along the entire length.

And to make sloppy curls on your hair (and most importantly, to keep the styling for a long time!), I know only one styler, Miracle Curl Babyliss. Steampod is not an option in your case - it works at a temperature of 170 and will “overmoisturize” the hair, and, therefore, goodbye to volume. And you have such a structure of hair that curls obtained with the help of "sparing" temperatures will not last long. You need a device that works on high temperatures- and at the same time did not douse the hair with steam.

Perhaps this is the most popular of Kate Middleton's hairstyles. In any case, in April 2011, she was seen by 2 billion viewers watching the broadcast of the royal wedding.
