Also, everyone knows delicious snails, bears, cats and hares. When sewing any Tilda doll, patterns with sizes will become indispensable.

Preparation of materials

When choosing a material, it should be borne in mind that such toys are created from natural fabrics. You can use linen, calico, satin, cotton or wool in your work. The body of the doll is usually sewn from fabric dyed with natural dyes. It can be tea, coffee or cinnamon. Such material should certainly be dried in an expanded state so that unnecessary streaks do not form. For clothes, use fabrics with small prints so that the patterns match the size of the doll.

In addition, in in large numbers ribbons and lace are used, as well as various sewn-on elements. Today there is a whole Tilda industry. Craftsmen and designers create everything for sewing these dolls, from fabrics to various decorative sew-on elements. Whole sets are also assembled to create one or another toy. They include everything you may need in the process of work. If you have chosen a simple Tilda doll (pattern), a master class on sewing it will come in handy. However, the beauty of the product lies in its simplicity.

The process of sewing a doll

The piece of fabric required in size should be ironed well and folded in half with the front side inward. To sew a Tilda doll, the patterns need to be transferred to the fabric. To do this, they are cut out of paper, pinned to the fabric with pins and circled with a pencil or chalk. After all the details of the pattern are transferred to the fabric, they are sewn along the contour, leaving room for stuffing, and only then cut out. For this, zigzag scissors are often used. If there is no such tool, allowances should be cut in the corners and bends. This is done so that when turning out there are no extra folds.

These pupae are stuffed most often with holofiber or sintepukh. Moreover, the head and torso are stuffed tightly, but the arms and legs are made softer and more flexible. To obtain airiness, the legs, like the handles, are stitched in the area of the knees and elbows. Then it will be easy to give the limbs any position. You can also easily seat your doll in any place. All holes that were left for stuffing are sewn up with a blind seam.

Hairstyle for a doll

A variety of materials are used to create hairstyles for Tilda dolls. It can be wool, thread, yarn, satin ribbons or just natural and artificial doll curls. The boucle yarn is very popular among craftsmen. Hair can be sewn on, glued on, joined with a felting needle, and even simply drawn on with brushes and acrylic paints.

Clothes for Tilda doll. patterns

Every doll must be dressed. Craftswomen dress their Tilds in two ways. One of them involves a one-piece suit. In this case, the doll pattern already includes elements of clothing.

Of course, this option is best suited for thematic and exclusively interior dolls. This is due to the fact that subsequently such outfits are not removed, and it is not possible to change clothes for the doll. If you are going to give such a toy to a child, then you can create additional clothes for the Tilda doll, the patterns of which are developed separately.

Such a doll can be dressed and changed outfits, which will be more interesting during the game than when the clothes are sewn on.

Additional accessories

In addition to clothes, needlewomen often "gift" their dolls additional accessories. It can be various handbags, hats, suitcases and other little things. For dolls in a marine style, small fabric shells are often sewn or sea stars, and to make them realistic, you can paint on some elements using fabric paints. Accessories are created different ways. Masters resort to a huge variety of creative processes. Modeling, and papier-mache, and wire weaving, and much, much more are used. Everything that is created also has its patterns. For Tilda dolls, they make stands that allow you to fix the product.

Features of Tilda's face

All Tilda dolls are united by a special face. These are two points as eyes and a blush on the cheeks. The eyes are usually embroidered with floss, using the "French knot" technique, but they can also be drawn acrylic paints or sew beads in their place. When embroidering eyes, you can leave small tips when cutting threads. They will imitate cilia. The doll's cheeks are created using a brush or sponge, which are used to apply the usual loose blush. If they were not at hand, then you can draw the cheekbones with acrylic paint or use a crushed red pencil lead. If you are sewing animals in the Tilda style, such as a hare or a cat, then using floss threads, you can also embroider a nose and muzzle. Cheeks made with blush are a must not only for dolls, but also for animals too.

The wonderful Tilda doll will easily conquer the heart of not only a child, but also any adult. It will complement the interior in any room. Properly selected patterns of Tilda dolls will help you easily master the entire process of creating such a toy. You will certainly have a great time designing these cute angels, bunnies, cats. You will be happy to select the material so that the clothes for the Tilda doll, the patterns of which are built separately, reflect the entire personality of this toy. Creating such beauty with my own hands, you will give a lot of positive emotions not only to yourself, but also to all close and familiar people to whom you will give your dolls along with the warmth of your hands and wishes.

Tilda Lovebirds + pattern

There is a good tradition in Copenhagen, when the wives of sailors accompanied their husbands on a voyage, they always put on the window figures of animals, different people, so that the sailors knew that they were looking forward to going home, this custom has survived to this day - these are the Lovebirds - also waiting for the whole family to gather at home!

Christmas Angel. Pattern.

1. The pattern needs to be enlarged or reduced and printed. The size of this Angel is 18-19 cm.

2. Before cutting out the details, we will connect the body and colored fabric. We lay out the pattern, on a fabric folded in half, as in the photo and outline the contours.

3. Then we make a line according to the drawing (there are holes in the handles, they are indicated by a dotted line).

4. Cut out the blanks, stepping back from the seam by 2 or 3 mm.

5. Now you can turn the parts inside out and stuff them with padding polyester. The head, neck, hands and feet are stuffed a little denser than the rest. We tuck the bottom edge of the panties, tighten it a little and sew the legs with a hidden seam.

6. We fix the handles (for mobility) on the body with one thread, stitching the body “back and forth”.

7. For a warm dress, choose fleece. Fold it in two layers and trace the outline of the pattern. Then we carry out a line according to the picture. We cut out, turn the dress inside out, decorate it with embroidery and lace.

8. We sew wings. On a colored fabric folded with the front sides, we make a pattern and stitch it.

9. We cut out the wings, turn them inside out and very gently fill them with padding polyester. It remains for us to sew up the hole and designate the “plumage” with a couple of seams.

10. Sew the wings on the dress. We make boots - boots from white fleece according to the pattern of legs. Add cuffs to pants. On the wings you can make a loop.

11. Let's move on to the hairstyle of our Angel. Threads "Iris" are wound on a rectangle of paper. We sew in the center "parting".

12. Without removing the blank from the paper, cut the threads on the reverse side and get such a wig.

13. Sew "hair" on the head. You can depict pigtails, ponytails or just leave your hair loose. Draw eyes with a black marker, apply makeup with dry blush.

That's it. We enjoy the newborn Angel from the series of Tilda dolls, Christmas and New Year.

If this is your first Tilda Angel, then welcome to tildomans!

Good luck in needlework from Tony Finnanger and TILDA.

Guardian angel
+ pattern

We stock up on “branded” body-tanned fabric, material for the wings, fleece, “Iris” threads and padding polyester. A black felt-tip pen for fabric, mesh fabric, lurex, two buttons and dry blush will come in handy.

1. Guardian Angel, pattern. Can everyone copy and print? Great - consider half the job done.

2. We make the head and handles from flesh tissue. We fold the fabric in two layers. We outline the patterns and sew a line according to the drawing. We leave small holes in the handles.

3. Do the same with the torso and sleeves (do not forget to leave a hole for the neck in the upper part of the torso). We cut out the detail of the bottom.

4. Now we cut out the blanks, retreating from the seams 2-3 mm, and turn the parts inside out.

5. First of all, we stuff the head quite tightly with synthetic winterizer and sew it into the body. Preferably stronger.

6. Then, softly stuffing the body and tucking the bottom edge inward (it is better to baste it), we sew in the bottom. On the fleece, small flaws are almost imperceptible. If you want, you can use coarse salt as the final stuffing, for stability. But, by the way, the Guardian Angel Tilda is firmly on his feet even without salt.

7. After stuffing the handles and sewing up the technological hole, we equip them with a mesh fabric assembled on a thread. Then we insert the handles into the sleeves.

8. We sew the handles on the body with buttons - we sew the body through and through and fasten the thread.

9. We do a magnificent frill like this - we trim the mesh on a thread (do not skimp on the mesh, the path will be magnificent). Next, we tie the frill on the body and sew it around the circumference with a “needle forward” seam. Try not to pull the seam.

10. It's up to angel wings. On the fabric folded with the front sides, we outline the pattern and stitch it according to the drawing.

11. Now turn the wings inside out, straighten them out, stitch them “to the edge” and inside. We sew the wings on the back of the Angel.

14. With a seam “forward with a needle”, we sew a hairstyle on the head of Tilda. We blush the Angel and draw eyes with a felt-tip pen for fabric. Do not forget to make a collar (like a frill).

15. Angelic "nimbus" in no time is made of thread - Lurex. wind on thumb two or three turns and wrap around the resulting ring. Secure the ends with PVA glue.

16. Straighten the ruffles, check the handles for mobility and ... enjoy! Doll Tilda Guardian Angel will keep, protect, and guide some on the right path.

17. Success, success and once again success. Needlework is extremely useful and inexpressibly pleasant. Greetings from Tony Finnanger (TILDA).

Everything ingenious is simple. A striking example of this law was the cute, good-natured doll Tilda - these are the novelties of 2018. The rag interior doll has won great love from fans around the world. The reason for this is its uniqueness. She has many faces, not like her "sisters", and, in addition, can be not only a little man, but also a kitten, a hare or, for example, a elk. Button eyes, thin long legs and hands make these dolls a little awkward, funny and very kind. And the main charm of Tilda is that with simple improvised means and with little effort, it is easy to do it yourself. And the cost of such a doll will be ridiculously small.

The rag interior doll has won great love from fans around the world.

This cute doll, with all the variety of its options, has the main similarity: each has a typical ruddy complexion, manner of execution and a slight cunning. The doll is sewn entirely from fabric, with a simple cut.. It is made from fabric, but not white color. If only white fabric is available, it can be dyed to be used to make the Tilda. So, to make a doll with your own hands, it takes time, desire and willingness to start the process. Little girls love such embroidered dolls.

How did she become Tilda

Everything is quite simple. Matilda owes her birth and wild popularity to the Norwegian designer Tonna Finanger. Making dolls was her childhood dream.

When Tonne made her first doll in 1999, she named her Tilda without hesitation. Then she registered the Tilda brand.

Today, Tonne lives and works on one of the Norwegian fjords with his companions - a boyfriend and a dog.

If, nevertheless, a decision is made to repaint the white fabric, then this is done quite simply with a dye prepared by oneself:

  1. You need to take 30 grams of salt, 50 grams of the most inexpensive instant coffee (it will give a lasting color). Dilute all components in a liter of water.
  2. Dip the prepared fabric in the resulting dye for 20 minutes, periodically turning it in the liquid so that the fabric is dyed evenly.
  3. After a while, it is necessary to rinse the fabric in lukewarm water. Squeeze and dry. This will give you the desired color.
  4. For making Tilda, it is best to take natural fabrics(linen, cotton, calico). Tilda - animals are more interesting obtained from fleece or flannel.
  5. Like any other doll, Tilda must have clothes. It is better to sew it from materials of the same tone, such as jeans, knitted fabrics, coarse calico, tulle, chintz.
  6. Next, you need to decide on the stuffing. The main materials for stuffing are holofiber and synthetic winterizer. If the house has old pillows that will no longer be used, then you can get the filler from there - it will also work. It is quite practical to stuff small parts of dolls with the remnants of fabric that will appear in the process of work.
  7. One of the main details of any Tilda is hair. They are made from any kind of yarn. Mouline threads are also used. In some dolls you can make hair out of faux fur

Angel dolls: pattern and step by step instructions for beginners

This mk is dedicated to Tilda angels. For beginners included step-by-step instruction for making dolls. It is also recommended to print the pattern below. To sew the body and arms, you will need two different kind fabrics. The pattern shows the stitching points of the material with a dotted line.

  1. The fabric must be folded into two flaps inside out. The pattern should be copied onto the prepared fabric.
  2. Sew the outline with sewing machine or on your hands. Cut out, turn right out. Also sew and turn each leg.
  3. Next comes the stuffing with synthetic winterizer.

After the stuffing is finished, you should sew the arms and legs to the body with a blind seam, not forgetting to insert the legs into the trousers.

Dress and wings

  1. Now the tailoring of the dress begins. A rectangle 35 by 25 cm is cut out. The edges are processed and sewn along the side seam. The skirt needs to be sewn just below the top line of the topic.
  2. Finishing the dress, you should adjust the skirt to the dimensions of the doll.
  3. The decoration will serve as lace trimmed on the neckline. The upper part is decorated with buttons or beads. On the feet you need to make shoes from any fabric.
  4. Wings are more interesting to do in full height dolls: fold the fabric in half, sew without preliminary patterns. It is necessary to make a slot for the wings in the middle.
  5. After the firmware, you need to cut out the blanks. It is more convenient to make them with serrated scissors.
  6. Unscrew the blanks and iron them with an iron. Reinforce them with thin felt (you can use fleece). This is done so that the wings hold their shape. You can also stuff a little padding polyester inside the wings.
  7. Sew up the cut. Run vertical lines from the bottom of the wings. This will be an imitation of feathers.

Attach the wings to the back of the angel.

Face and hairstyle

How to make these doll elements is well shown in the figure below:

This is how Tilda's hairstyle is done

  1. A cute addition can be a hat that can be easily crocheted.
  2. The final touch is the eyes (draw or make from beads) and Tilda's rosy cheeks.

Angels can be anything: garden, moon, sea. It's worth a try, and who knows what the name of a completely new, unique angel that came out from under your hands will be called.

Best ideas for Tilda

In order not to ignore the tilde animals, below is a master class on making a tilde whale. He is a rare exception among tildes, because the figure on the fabric will be intact (just like a pattern). The only thing that will have to be sewn on later is the fins. They are needed so that the Kit turns out to be stable and does not fall on its side at the first breath of wind.
