Lovely, beautiful and very positive Tilda dolls have long won the hearts of needlewomen. Purple Tilda ballerina is one of the most interesting models dolls, as there are a lot of variations of her and she looks amazing. Tilda ballerina is a little different from the usual interior Tilda, her arms and legs are bent, and she also has clearly defined female forms.

How to sew a doll ballerina Tilda?

The Tilda ballerina doll will be approximately 40 cm tall from the pattern on an A4 sheet. Now consider the instructions on how to sew a Tilda ballerina doll.

1. Apply all the patterns to the fabric and cut them out. The body will immediately be cut from colored fabric.

2. On the front part of the torso we lay two opposite folds (we form a bust). With a pin we pin the shoulder-head detail. Important point: The stitching should begin and end strictly at the side seams of the torso.

3. Here's what our workpiece looks like at this stage.

4. We do the same with the back of the torso and the shoulder-head part. As a result, we received two blanks.

5. Gently combine the two blanks with the front sides inward. We chip them with pins and sew them on a typewriter. First sew the bottom.

6. Then, in the same way, we cut off with pins and sew on the machine and the upper part.

7. Pay attention to the peculiarity of laying lines when stitching the body of the Tilda ballerina doll: the distance at the bottom of the shoulder remained undarned. This is necessary in order to later sew the hand of the doll there.

8. We turn out the workpiece. The first step is to fill the head and shoulders, then go to the middle and finally to the bottom of the body.

9. Important advice: it is very convenient to type with a synthetic winterizer torn into strips, it does not give tuberosity during stuffing.

10. When stuffing the limbs, there is also a little trick: it is better to turn and stuff at the same time to avoid "cellulite".

11. Our arms and legs are ready.

12. Fasten the legs. We bend the bottom of the body and fix everything with pins, while the legs do not need to be stuffed to the end, we leave about 1 cm.

14. This method of fastening will allow our Tilda ballerina to sit down.

15. We sew the legs around the knees so that they also bend.

16. Fasten the handles first with pins, then sew. If sewn flat, they will bend.

17. From the sock additive we will make hair. When fluffed up, they look very natural.

18. We make our lilac Tilda ballerina's hairstyle.

Refined and graceful, sweet and beautiful tilde ballerina in a delicate gray-brown dress is undoubtedly beautiful. In order to sew a tilde ballerina, we need the following.

Materials:

  • Nude fabric
  • Fabric for dress and pointe shoes

  • Beads and buttons for decoration
  • Stuffing material

Ballerina tilde pattern

Master class - ballerina tilda

First you need to fold the flesh-colored fabric in half with the right side inward and transfer the torso and arms pattern onto it.

Next, you need to sew together the flesh-colored fabric and the pointe fabric, then fold in half and translate the leg pattern twice so that the bottom dotted line on the template coincides with the seam.

Sew the blanks. Leave unstitched openings for eversion and corners at the bottom of the body.

Cut out the details. Fold in the corners at the bottom of the torso and sew them up as shown.

Stuff the details. Insert the legs into the hole in the lower part of the body, secure with pins and sew.

We sew a dress for our tilde ballerina.

Cut a 16 x 5 strip of fabric and iron the edges.
Sew a strip of fabric to the body of the doll so that you get the bodice of the dress.

Make a few cuts at the bottom of the bodice if you want it to fit snugly around the waist. Then you can sew the arms to the body of the ballerina tilde.

It is better to draw the hair before you put on the figure, as in this case you do not risk staining the dress with paint.

The skirt for the tilde doll is sewn very simply. The strip of fabric for the skirt should be 15 cm wide. Leave no allowances. The length of the skirt depends on the type of fabric. If you are using thin cotton cambric, as in this case, then the length of the fabric strip can be 110-140 cm. If you are using velvet, 100 cm is enough.

Remember that the skirt should be fluffy, but not puffy.

Fold the skirt strip in half crosswise and sew along the short open edge. Turn the work right side out and run a running seam along one of the edges. Put the skirt on the figure and tighten the basting seam, thereby gathering the skirt. Sew the skirt to the figure's waist.

The skirt can be decorated with beads or buttons.

Pointe shoes

The ties on the pointe shoes are the same fabric used for the dress. Narrow strips of fabric are best cut with cutting scissors. Instead of strips of fabric, you can use thin tape. You will need a strip of fabric 6-7mm wide and 65cm long for each leg.

Fold the strip in half and fasten with a short stitch to the back of the pointe shoe. Wrap the ends of the strip of fabric around the ballerina's leg so that they cross three times in front, tie in a bow and secure with a few stitches so that the ties do not slip.

Hair ornament

Cut a strip of fabric measuring 1.5 x 7 cm. Leave no allowances. Iron the edges of the strip of fabric so that you get a ribbon 7 mm wide, and tie it over the figurine's head, securing it on both sides with pins.
Sew the edges of the ribbon to the head of the figurine.

Cut two strips of fabric measuring 2.5 x 10 cm and use them to decorate in the form of roses. Sew roses to the ends of the ribbon on the sides of the head.

Shape the face of the tilde.

So our tilde ballerina is ready! She will become wonderful decoration interior or a nice gift, for example, for a close friend!

Required materials to create a doll

To create this cute toy at the master class, we need:

  • small pieces of fabric for the figure itself, as well as doll clothes;
  • thread, sewing needle, scissors;
  • any filler (cotton wool or synthetic winterizer);
  • floss threads for embroidering eyes and shaping hairstyles;
  • thin metal wire.

The order of work on the master class

  • First you need to make a pattern, transfer it to a fabric folded in half and cut out all the details of the ballerina's tilde from the fabric (body with a face, arms and legs).
  • Then you need to sew the parts cut out in duplicate and folded facing each other, leaving holes in certain places for filling with filler, and turn out all the elements of the future doll.

  • In order for the doll we made to acquire the pose of a ballerina with arms raised above her head, we take a wire a little longer than the length of the doll’s arm, wrap it with cotton wool or padding polyester, and bend it so that its sharp edge does not pierce the fabric, insert it into the elements of the hands. After that, we fill the cavities of the hands and other parts with filler.

  • We sew in certain places the details of the legs of the doll to the body, and one of them can be sewn at an angle (in the form of a raised one).

  • To sew the details of the arms to the body of the doll, it is necessary to make holes in the necessary places of the body (near the shoulders), push the ends of the wire from the arms there, secure with pins and sew using a blind seam.

  • We dress the doll, for which, using the pattern of the ballerina's torso, we create a corset from a fabric of a different color, as well as a fluffy tutu skirt made from a piece of fabric, gathered on one side, according to the "sun-flared" principle.

  • The final stage of our work is the design of the doll's face with the help of embroidery or a drawing of the doll's eyes, as well as the creation of a beautiful hairstyle that can be built from threads or painted with acrylic paints.

That's all, as a result of the master class, our do-it-yourself tilda ballerina is ready!

  • threads;
  • soft filler (cotton wool or foam rubber);
  • black threads - floss (needed to embroider eyes and create a hairstyle);

Choice of fabric. To Ragdoll looked beautiful and lasted a long time, it is better to pick up natural fabrics(such as cotton or linen). For the body, monotonous cuts are needed without a pattern of flesh or beige shades. White material is easy to stain with a solution of tea or weak coffee.

Tilda ballerina has a corset and a fluffy tutu, which will suit any beautiful fabric.

For the filler, you can take pharmacy cotton, a piece of padding polyester or holofiber, collect pieces of unnecessary fabrics. If you want to make the toy heavier, add a little calcined buckwheat, rice or salt. To make the craft have a pleasant light aroma, you can add herbs inside or drip essential oils.

Manufacturing process:

  1. The master class will begin with the selection and printing of Tilda patterns. The size of the parts determines the overall size of the future product. The quantity is indicated inside the details. If “body x 2” - it means that on the fabric you need to circle the body once, then turn it over and circle it again.

  3. The finished toy is good because it has a certain pose. She seemed to freeze, performing a dance step. To do this, you need to measure two identical pieces of thin wire so that they are slightly longer than arms future ballerina. Using pliers, bend the edge of each piece, removing the sharp ends. Then, wrapping them with padding polyester (or cotton wool, depending on what is prepared for stuffing), carefully insert inside the sewn parts of the hands. Fill the voids with the remnants of the filler.
  4. Fill and connect the details of the legs and body according to the lines indicated on the patterns. Leave your hands for now.
  5. Make two small holes in the body in the shoulder area, then insert the ends of the wire sticking out of the hands of the craft there. Secure both pieces with pins and carefully sew using a blind stitch.
  6. Cloth. For a corset, you need to transfer the silhouette of the future ballerina to the fabric and cut out the bodice. Behind the edges of the bodice are simply connected and fixed on the body of the doll. You can decorate the corset of the dress by making lacing from linen or white floss thread. Sew a pack. A piece of linen with lace sewn at the bottom is suitable for her. You need to sew it along the edge, then pull it off to make the skirt airy. It is better to take a cut in advance more than the ballerina's waist, since after stitching the fabric will decrease.
  7. Hairstyle. For her, you can collect a small bunch of dark floss threads or draw a haircut with paints. Complete the image with a small diadem or bows, sewing them neatly to the head.

For a sun skirt, you need a piece of snow-white tulle or other similar material. If the fabric is thin and translucent, you can additionally sew a shorter petticoat and provide the ballerina with beautiful underpants like those worn by girls in the 17-18 centuries.

Patterns are optional, you can cut the skirt and top separately by eye. The only thing you need for a skirt more fabric through assembly.

Master class from Irina Ignatchenko

If Tilda - a ballerina was conceived as interior decoration, then her outfit should be combined with the environment. This should be taken into account when selecting material for tailoring a pack.

It will be easier if the old elegant dresses from dolls. You can cut off the excess, adjust the size, and the beautiful ballerina is ready.

Fashionistas love to sew several different outfits in order to dress up a ballerina later. To do this, the pack does not need to be attached to the body of the doll. It is better to pair the top with fluffy skirt and think about the clasp so that the dress can be easily removed.
