Attach eyes (such as buttons) and stitch the mouth.

Do-it-yourself monkey knitting for the New Year is easy. For this you need to take:

yarn of medium thickness;
knitting needles No. 3;
filler (for example, synthetic winterizer);
eyes (ready-made or buttons).

Operating procedure:

Tie your head. To do this, cast on 17 stitches and knit 50 rows in stockinette stitch. After that, close the loops. Fold the resulting part in half and sew on the sides, while the upper corners are slightly rounded. Do not sew the head down.
Tie the muzzle. Cast on 15 stitches and work 24 rows in stockinette stitch. Sew in the same way as the head.

Such monkeys (photo above) can easily be made with puff pastry with children.

For this you will need:

2 cups of flour;
1 glass of finely ground salt;
120 ml of cold water;
wallpaper glue.

Operating procedure:

Dilute the glue in water. The resulting mixture should resemble liquid sour cream.
Mix flour with salt.
Pour the liquid into the flour and mix everything with a whisk or mixer. As a result, you should get a plastic dough.
From the finished dough, fashion the details of the monkey: paws, head, body, ears, muzzle elements.
Connect all the details. Sculpt the muzzle. Add decorative elements (for example, a New Year's scarf).
Let the figurine dry. To do this, put it on the battery for two days or an hour or two in the oven.
Paint the figurine with acrylics or gouache.

Embossed Christmas tree

Let's start with the main symbol of any New Year - the Christmas tree. Such a spectacular beauty is very easy to make!

Dough:

1 st. flour;
1 st. fine salt;
0.5-0.7 st. water;
food colorings.

The dye is added to the dry ingredients during the kneading stage. The dough is kneaded with the dye immediately, and is not painted separately ready.

Tools:

knife;
rolling pin;
gouache paints;
brushes;
aerosol varnish.

Christmas tree sculpting

We take the dough and roll it into a layer up to 1 cm thick. The size of the layer should correspond paper template figurines. The template can be printed, you can draw, or you can use ready-made forms for cookies and gingerbread.

We slightly moisten the layer with water and begin to make a relief. You can use special embossed rolling pins and rugs. I don’t have such devices, so I drew the main drawing with a sharp stack. And if you make a different degree of pressure on the stack, you get an interesting effect.

To add details to the overall drawing, use improvised means: caps from pens and felt-tip pens, screwdrivers, etc. The drawing should be as dense as possible.

We apply a stencil to the layer and cut along the contour.

We remove excess fragments. We make a hole at the top of the tree. Bake in the oven at 100 degrees for 3-5 hours.

Christmas tree painting

We take a dry sponge, “dirty” one part of it with a thin layer of paint.

And now we are trying to wipe the paint from the sponge on the figure, while not pressing hard. If the sponge is dry, there is not much paint, and the relief of the pattern is deep, only the protruding parts are painted. Accordingly, the extruded pattern will not be colored.

If desired, you can glue rhinestones or sparkles, then varnish.

Angel

By this step by step instructions you will make an angel out of dough, it can become a Christmas toy, a magnet, festive decoration on the wall.

Dough:

1 st. flour;
1 st. fine salt;
0.5-0.7 st. water;
food colorings.

Tools:

stacks or improvised tools;
knife;
rolling pin;
gouache paints;
brushes;
rhinestones, sequins, other decorations;
aerosol varnish.

Modeling an angel

Form an oval from the pink dough, then roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 0.5 cm.

Lay the resulting layer horizontally and fold it like an accordion, while only one upper side can be narrowed and pressed. Carefully straighten the folds of the dress so that they are smooth.

From the dough of the same color, make 2 more small oblong ovals, then narrow one side. Use a stack or toothpick to make an indentation in the wide side. This is how the sleeves are made. Glue the sleeves with the narrow side to the top of the dress.

From white dough, make 2 small ovals, very narrowed on one side, these will be the handles. Insert the narrow side of the oval into the sleeve.

From light blue dough we form 2 wings. They can be made from flattened ovals, and then sharpen the edge, or roll out the layer and cut out the shape according to the cardboard template.

We put the wings under the "back" of the angel.

We form a ball of the head from white dough and stick it directly on the base of the dress.

We roll a thin long sausage from the yellow dough and flatten it as thin as possible. (

We stick the resulting yellow ribbon over the head of an angel, and also fold the edges with an accordion, imitating curls.

From a miniature ball we make a nose.

If the angel will be a Christmas toy or pendant, do not forget to make 2 neat holes in the wings.

Dry in the oven at a temperature not exceeding 100 degrees. Approximately 4-6 hours.

We paint the edge of the dress and sleeves with red gouache. Then, with a wet clean brush, blend the edges to get a smooth transition.

Salt dough monkey

2. Add a tablespoon of starch.

5. Add the remaining amount of water and knead a stiff dough.

6. Divide the dough in half, put one part in the refrigerator, covering with cling film.

7. Add cocoa to the rest.

Knead the dough, keeping the effect of "marbling". Cover the dough with cling film and put it in the refrigerator.

The material for modeling should be in the refrigerator from 3 hours to a day. This will improve its elasticity.

The process of making crafts

Attach any part to the base with water.

1. Make the base in the form of a small circle.

2. Make an eyelet mount. On the back of the base, secure the hemp with a small piece of dough.

3. Make a "frame". To do this, weave two bundles of light and dark dough.

4. Moisten the edges of the base with water, stick the "frame".

5. Make a head for the "monkey". Sculpt a ball, cut off one third (lower part) from it and stick it to the base. Using two colors of dough, make ears.

6. Shape a ball from a light dough, attach it to other parts with water. Make notches for the "mouth" with a sharp tool.

7. Make a "nose" from a small ball of dough. Make holes imitating the "nostrils" and a groove running from the "nose" to the "mouth". Make "eyes".
