Coloring can make such hair more dense and shiny, which is why the glazing procedure (colorless toning) is now so popular.
The choice of oxygen should also be made based on the condition of the strands, the presence of gray hair and on desired result. In some brands, this may vary, but as a rule, oxygenators work this way:

1.8% (6vol.) - for toning bleached hair, color renewal
3% (10vol.) - for tone-on-tone coloring ( natural hair) and blackout (previously colored)
6% (20vol.) - for dyeing with lightening on one level (natural hair) and tone on tone (previously dyed)

1.2 Allergy test.

I know that many girls neglect this item, and as for me they do it very much in vain. No one is safe from a dye allergy, even if you are not allergic. Even if you have been dyeing your hair with one brand of dye for 10 years in a row, and for some reason decided to switch to another, this does not insure you from a possible reaction. Dyes are a complex combination of various chemical components, in different brands, and even brand lines, the compositions differ. I used to be allergic to henna and let me tell you this thing is very, very unpleasant, it took me 3 weeks to treat and a lot of money. I have never had an allergy to chemical dyes, but if not for such tests, I would not have avoided this.

I want to show you an old photo (I don’t really know why I took it, but it came in handy). In the photo, the reaction to one dye, I won’t say which one, because everything is very individual. I dread to imagine what would happen if I painted it. The camera does not convey such things very well, but you can still see a little (I removed the dye from the skin special tool): red rash with bumps, which was also accompanied by itching.

It is itching and rashes that are an indicator of an allergic reaction, and since the skin on the wrist is thin and sensitive, this reaction can be seen almost immediately.

How do I do an allergy test:
1. I take a pea of dye and a drop of oxygen, a small unnecessary container (for example, a lid from a jar of vitamins) and a toothpick

2. Thoroughly mix everything, you should get a homogeneous mass

3. I apply a little of the resulting slurry on the wrist

Well, let's get started:

We put on old t-shirt and comb the hair well from the tips to the roots. For my convenience, I put two mirrors opposite each other in order to see my back of the head and paint over everything as accurately as possible. Next, we divide the hair into 4 parts, comb each part again and fix it with hairdressing clips.

We begin to knead the dye: since the roots need to be painted over first, I prepare the mixture for them. Kaaral Sense paint is mixed 1:1, 40 grams of dye and 40 grams of oxidizing agent are needed for this density (accurate calculation, in order to obtain the expected result, is very important in this matter, so electronic scales come to my aid). You need to mix thoroughly, until a homogeneous mass and so that no lumps are present.

We start coloring the roots: first, along the vertical and horizontal partings, which were formed when the hair was divided into 4 parts. And then we remove one of the clips and paint over the area free from the clip, each time using the tail of the brush, separating a thin strand of hair. So we paint over the roots in all four zones. We finish by applying the dye along the hairline: near the neck, temples, forehead. You need to do everything very quickly, if you are a beginner and have never done anything like this, you can practice in advance, thus applying some kind of mask for growth.

After the paint has been applied to the roots, it must be left for several minutes, in my case it is 20 minutes, during which time I rest a little (it's all very tiring) and go to knead the composition for length. For a length, I need 80 grams of dye, 80 grams of oxidizer and 8 servings of liquid crystals, 1 pump of the dispenser = 1 serving. Liquid crystals are added to protect the hair from drying out during dyeing, and also add extra shine, this is allowed by the Kaaral dye technology.

Rinse off with water first, and it is desirable to emulsify the dye for 2-3 minutes (moisten and massage the hair, the paint forms a lush foam). Ammonia-free paints need to be washed off with water for at least 15 minutes, for which I don’t like them, with ammonia paints it’s easier here: they need to be washed with water until the water that drains from the hair stops being colored.

Next, we take a stabilizing shampoo with an acidic pH, wash it 2 times: first only the roots, then the roots and the entire length. This should be done without haste, carefully, it is better to devote a couple of minutes to this. Shampoo is followed by a low pH stabilizing balm. We apply it to the entire length and at the roots, withstand the time specified by the manufacturer, rinse thoroughly with water. In no case should you neglect this step if the condition of your hair is important to you! If the process of alkalization is not properly stopped, then the hair will deteriorate within a few days after dyeing.

Why are they so popular with craftsmen and clients? The answer is very simple: both masters and clients want to keep their quality in time. And both of these products allow you to do it equally well! Here's how it works: at the moment when the brightening composition or dye is on the hair, in addition to dyeing, irreversible processes also occur that destroy the hair protein. But, if you add Olaplex or B3, they largely help to maintain the structure of protein chains, as a result we get a completely different quality and integrity of the hair. These preparations really help the colorist to step further, lighten more or more! Sometimes clients come in whose hair condition is very bad, and nothing more can be done with them. Previously, I dissuaded them from brightening or refused at all. Since I started working with olaplex and B3, everything has changed - now I can offer these clients more and know that their hair will stay in place.

How is Olaplex and Brazilian Bond Builder performed?

These drugs are used very simply: I add the required amount of Olaplex or B3 to the ready-made blonding mixture. Olaplex also has a second phase, which is applied after the paint is washed off with water. B3 does not have a second phase and the hair is simply shampooed and conditioned. When you dye your hair with and without protection, you see a huge difference in their quality, especially over time.

The first product I started working with was Olaplex. 2 years ago, in a roundabout way, I ordered it from the USA. I tested on cut strands of hair. I applied the most aggressive mixture to these strands with and without olaplex. Honestly, at that time the results simply amazed me! The strand without Olaplex just boiled in an hour, and the hair that was protected by Olaplex remained in excellent condition after an hour and a half! Then I began to work with this product, I had good and bad moments with it, it took time to feel and learn how to use it correctly.

A year later, I got to try Brazilian Bond Builder. And immediately in extreme conditions: Together with other colorists, I was invited to participate in the presentation of the product at the Nevsky Shore exhibition. For the presentation, it was necessary to paint a lot of models, we painted them in bright acid shades, for which it was necessary to make a clean lightening background, that is, lighten the hair as much as possible! We dyed the girls very harshly: we used high oxidizing agents, wrapped our hair in foil, lightened dyed in dark color white hair! The results were amazing: all the models' hair remained in good condition, moreover: a year has passed, and I still watch these girls from photographs, their hair is in place and looks great!

On this moment time I could not decide for myself whether to use one product or another. Both of them are easy and effective to use, they are about the same price, but each works better in this or that situation, so I use both! For example, when the hair is in very poor condition, already bleached or very thin, I prefer to use it, it slightly weakens the clarifying power of the drug, but keeps the quality of such hair a little better than B3. If the hair is more dense or very dark, then I prefer to use B3. My experience has shown that, for example, if you play for a long time and make washes from black, then B3 works more efficiently, lightening goes much better and cleaner with equal hair quality at the end.
