Master class with step by step photo"Hare with cabbage" in the technique of modeling from salt dough.

Nazarova Tatyana Nikolaevna teacher additional education MBU DO DDIU Millerovo

The master class is intended for teachers of additional education, technology teachers, parents, as well as everyone who wants to master the technique of salt dough modeling.
Purpose: souvenir.
Target: make a souvenir using salt dough modeling technique
Tasks:
Educational: master the technique of working with salt dough;
Educational: stimulate the desire to make gifts, souvenirs with my own hands, instill a love for modeling.
Developing: develop accuracy, artistic thinking, imagination;

Necessary materials:
Premium flour, Extra salt, paper napkin, rolling pin, ballpoint pen without paste, brush, glass of water, simple pencil, round cookie cutter, diameter 9 cm. Stack, cocktail tube.

Salt Dough Recipe:
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup flour and 0.5 cup salt. Stir, make a moon. Pour in 1 glass cold water. Knead a tight dough. Add flour or water if necessary.

Progress:

Dust the table with flour. Roll out the dough with a thickness of 5-7 mm. Cut out the patterned circle with a cookie cutter. Transfer it to paper napkin.

Make prints along the contour of the circle with a cocktail tube - a pattern.

Take a ball of dough the size of a small plum and form a cake. Moisten the round base with water and glue the cake. Water firmly glues elements of salt dough. Push the cake in the center with a stack. These will be the bunny's pants.

Push the belt a little higher and glue the suspenders.

We form a head from a smaller lump and glue it with water in the same way.

In the center of the head, glue two very small cakes and push holes with a pencil. These are mustaches. Glue the eyes, nose. With the reverse side of the brush under the antennae, push the mouth.

Roll up two thick flagella. Glue on the ears. With the reverse side of the brush on the ears, push the dimples. Glue one handle from the same flagellum, and we will glue the second a little later.

To make cabbage, roll the dough into a small ball. Make several small thin cakes and alternately overlap to the ball. Glue the cabbage first, and then the second handle. It turns out that the hare holds cabbage in his hand.

It remains for the hare to glue small paws. Ready. We leave the craft to dry in the air for about 5-6 days. We paint the souvenir with paints, and when the paint dries, we cover it with a glossy varnish.
So we made a souvenir with our own hands. Feel free to give to friends.
I wish you creative success!
And more souvenirs

Dough crafts are very useful for the development of the child, in addition, they are very interesting. You can help mom knead the dough, and then mold, for example, a bunny from salt dough. And when the craft is ready, you can proceed to the most interesting thing - painting the figurine. After all, it is then that you can come up with his image, character and mood.

An adult must be present during this process in order to correct some of the child’s actions, but in no case should he impose his point of view, but only offer options and approve the child’s ideas.

And it will also be extremely interesting if you time the craft to bright holiday Easter and make dough easter bunny, and then add it to your Easter composition.

See step by step master class on making crafts "Easter Bunny" and sculpt your future "pet" for pleasure with the help of our description and step-by-step photos.

Necessary materials:

  • mass for modeling - salty dough,
  • frame - eggshell,
  • paints and colorless varnish (you can use hairspray).

To make the dough, the master will need flour (no additives, regular) - 2 parts by volume,

  • salt - 1 volume part,
  • water - as needed.

Flour is mixed with salt and water is added little by little, kneading with a mixer. The dough should be pretty cool, like clay.

Then the mass is crushed in flour, like dough for pies.

Since the dough layer should not be too thick, otherwise cracks and deformation may form during drying, a frame must be used. For a rabbit, an eggshell is perfect in this sense: this will make the figure lighter, since there will be emptiness inside.

But you can only use an empty shell, without contents, so that later there is no disgusting smell - then the rabbit can be used for more than one year. The contents of the egg should be blown out of the shell by making small holes at both ends of the egg with a sharp knife. The insides of the egg themselves will be used to prepare an omelet or other dish.

Now the “sole” of the figurine is made from the dough, on which the rabbit will be attached. The remaining dough should be wrapped in a plastic bag, as it airs very quickly and becomes covered with a crust.

An empty eggshell is attached to the "sole".

A thinly rolled pancake of dough is wrapped around the shell and leveled with fingers so that it tightly and evenly clasps the shell - this will be the body of the rabbit.

The figurine can be placed in the oven or "microwave" for "roasting". When using a microwave oven, first you need to set the “defrost” mode for 2 minutes. After checking the workpiece and airing it, you can put it on for another 3-4 minutes. By the way, at this time, you can make any corrections to the workpiece using a sharp knife or scissors (for example, trim the ears), and you can also cover up the cracks that have appeared with moistened dough.

How the rabbit will be painted is up to the master himself. You can paint the rabbit with an ornament that is used when dyeing eggs. You can make a rabbit “with polka dots” or “striped”, “checked” or “flowered”.

The most important thing is to draw a cheerful “long-toothed” smile and huge kind eyes to the rabbit. After all, he is still a fabulous creature!

Previously, the making of a rabbit was welcomed at Easter in Western countries ... It is believed that this animal is a symbol of fertility and prosperity. There was even such a legend that it was the hare who began to lay colorful eggs in the garden. And some "experts" argue that the hare not only lays eggs, but also brings them as a gift to children. Now this tradition has come down to us, so this is another “useful” circumstance for which it is worth learning how to make an Easter bunny from dough.

1. Justification of the problem, needs and setting goals

Tasks:

To get acquainted with the history of making products from salt dough;

To study and master the technology of performing work from salt dough;

To draw attention to this type of arts and crafts;

Decorate the interior of the room with a salt dough composition.

Modeling is a favorite and exciting pastime for children and many adults. You can sculpt the old fashioned way - from clay and plasticine, but it's interesting to try something new - for example, salt dough. Salt dough crafts are light, durable and very cheap, and you can mold anything from it. If you have seen a dough product at least once in your life, then you will agree that they are able to bring a smile, even if you don’t have much good mood. Handmade things are highly valued in the modern world: it is thanks to them that creativity and imagination develop. wall decorations, funny toys, children's games, souvenirs and surprises - all this can be made from salt dough.A distinctive feature when working with this material is that no special tools and devices are required during the work. It is best to sculpt with your hands or use primitive tools that are always at hand. It should be noted that products made from salt dough are rather heavy (dense), which does not allow creating compositions of large sizes. Therefore, volumetric compositions and panels should not be very large.

I decided to make a picture out of salt dough. She looks very beautiful. It can also be given as a gift for any holiday, such as a birthday. A person will be very happy, as it is done with his own hands, with all his heart and beautifully.

2.Thinking scheme

Before you start working on a project, you need to clearly understand all aspects of the work and decipher them.

3. Identification of the main parameters of restrictions

The painting must meet the following requirements:

The picture should be beautiful and fit for purpose

Defects that have arisen must be eliminated in the process of working on the picture.

The picture should not be expensive, but well-made.

4. Theoretical information

In our life we are often faced with the need to give gifts. Many argue that this is no less pleasant process than receiving them. The custom of offering gifts has its roots in distant, distant times, and its beginning is connected not even with a person, but with animals, which, it turns out, also give gifts to each other.

For a person, the custom of giving gifts from the very beginning had a sacred, sacred meaning. Any gift was perceived as a message, and great importance was attached to its choice. It was the bringing of gifts at all times that served as the first positive step in contact between two different tribes.

In the Ancient East, it is forbidden to give sharp objects (sabers, knives). It was believed that this threatens to break friendly relations.

In ancient Greece, if a wallet or purse was given, then a coin must be put in such a gift, otherwise the gift promises lack of money. One of the most successful definitions was offered by the Polish psychologist Katarzyna Legren:

« The perfect gift- this is the one that we need, but we do not expect to receive it ”Psychologists say that when a gift is chosen with great love and desire, to please, it always works out.

5.History and modernity

Once upon a time, in hoary antiquity, people began to mold bread cakes from flour and water and burn them on hot stones. Then, in Babylon, bread ovens appeared, and the first loaves replaced bread cakes. The ancient Egyptians, about 5 thousand years ago, knew many dough recipes and already baked 30 different types of bread. The ancient Incas sculpted figures of people and animals from dough and then sacrificed them. So, not only bread was baked from the dough, but also decorative products, which began to decorate various religious figures from folk tales. Even the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans used figures made of dough to worship their deities. In China, starting from the 17th century, puppets were made from dough.

In Russia, for Christmas in the Vologda, Arkhangelsk, Olonets provinces, “cows”, “calves”, “cockerels”, “pigs”, “goats” were baked from wheat dough as a sign that there were more “animals” in the yard. These cookies were given to relatives, neighbors, decorated windows. To keep them from insects and eating them by mice, they added to the dough a large number of salt - this is how salty dough arose.

10. Tools and equipment

For work, I used: a table with oilcloth, a work board, a small rag,a watercolor brush, a sharpened pencil, scissors, a rolling pin (you can replace it with a smooth bottle), aluminum foil (for baking or from chocolates) and, of course, salt dough.

rolling pin - round wooden roller used for rolling dough into thin layers.

Aluminium foil - metal "paper", a thin and flexible metal sheet.

11. Materials

I used salt dough to make the mosaic. How to prepare dough?

You will need: extra salt, wheat flour, vegetable oil, water, a large bowl, a glass and a tablespoon.

Pour 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of flour into a bowl and mix the salt and flour with a tablespoon. Then pour in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and half a glass of water, mix with a spoon and knead with your hands until smooth in the same way as regular dough. Water can be replaced with starch jelly, then the mass will be much more plastic.

Kissel is done like this:

Dissolve 1 tablespoon cornstarch in 1/2 cup cold water. Heat 1 cup of water in a small saucepan until boiling. Pour the starch solution into the boiling water, stirring. When the contents of the pan thicken and become transparent, turn off the heat. Let the jelly cool and pour it into the flour and salt mixture instead of water.

The dough may be too soft. Then proceed as follows: mix a tablespoon of flour with a tablespoon of salt at the bottom of a bowl. Press the ball of dough into this mixture and then knead it. Do this until the dough becomes more dense.

Put the resulting mass in a plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. After that, you can sculpt from the dough. If after modeling you still have dough left, then store it in the refrigerator in a plastic bag.

12.Safety rules during work

With scissors:

If you work together, then you should pass the scissors rings forward.

You need to store scissors in a special case.

When working with scissors, do not lean on the table, as this can damage your eyes.

13. Sanitary and hygienic requirements

1. Before starting work, wash your hands.

2. Light should fall from the left side.

3. Sit straight on the chair, leaning on the back of the chair.

4. Knives, glasses should be washed.

5. There should be no foreign objects on the table. Since they can be in the way and generally be dirty.

6. After work, be sure to wash your hands with soap and water.

14. Environmental rationale

The picture is made of environmentally friendly material, namely salt dough. This is a non-waste production. It can lie for a long time without spoiling.

Salt dough is an amazing material in terms of its availability and plasticity.

Our store "Crafts from salt dough" offers you a lot of various crafts for your home, as well as the most important picture "Bunnies", which will fit well into your interior.

19. Introspection

While making the picture “Bunnies”, I learned how to work with such material as salt dough. At first, not everything worked out for me, but thanks to desire, diligence and patience, I achieved the desired result.

Difficulties arose with sculpting bunnies, but interest increased during coloring. Further processing and design of the product gave more and more visible results, and therefore it was easy and interesting for me to work.

The work done brought joy not only to me, but also to my family. Everyone likes the painting "Roses". I think you will like it too.

20. Dictionary of terms.

Modeling- - type of plasticity - the creation of sculptural works from plastic materials.

Teacher review

creative project, on which Tarasenkova Margarita worked, is interesting, quite complex, not chosen by chance. Rita loves to make crafts from salt dough. Rita did her job with great interest. Margarita is a creative person, has extraordinary artistic abilities. The work was done with great diligence and responsibility. I am satisfied with her work. We plan to make a more complex product.

mom review

I liked the work of my daughter, namely the mosaic made from salt dough. Salt dough modeling is an interesting and fascinating type of applied art. It is economical and harmless even for the smallest. In addition, the dough is soft, plastic, does not stain hands, is easy to wash and leaves no residue.

In general, Rita performs all tasks accurately and on time, she is very diligent and responsible and loves to draw. I am satisfied with her work.

I am pleased that my daughter is fond of drawing and that this knowledge and skills will be useful to her in the future. Perhaps she will choose the work of a fashion designer or designer as her specialty. She loves to give handmade gifts. In the future, she wants to make a more complex craft. In general, Rita performs all tasks accurately and on time, she is very diligent and responsible and loves to draw. I am satisfied with her work. In the future, he plans to make a more complex craft, there are already some ideas.

Children love to sculpt, and for this you can offer them not only traditional plasticine, but also, for example, salt dough specially made for such activities.

Children especially love to sculpt animal figurines and have fun when they turn out funny, such as, for example, a bunny with a balalaika. So, we sculpt a bunny playing the balalaika from salt dough.

In order to mold such a figure from salt dough, we need flour, salt, water, a stack, two small bottles, foil, wire, paints and a brush.

1. First, roll out the dough and cut out the feet of the bunny. Then we form a sausage from the dough and cut it into two parts - these will be the hind legs of the bunny. We glue the bunny's paws with the feet, make the upper edge of the legs even and dry them.

2. Now we sculpt the front paws of the bunny from salt dough. To do this, we again make two sausages and flatten them slightly. We cut the fingers on the paws with a stack. We try on the front paws to the bottle - the future body of the bunny, give them the desired position and dry them.

3. Roll out the dough and cut out a balalaika from it, draw strings on it with a stack. Then we sculpt bunny ears from two sausages.

4. We wrap the bottle with dough, leaving its neck free. Moisten the place where the dough meets the bottle with water.

5. We wrap the neck of another bottle with several layers of foil - this will be the frame of the future bunny's head.

6. We put the foil head frame on the neck of the bottle wrapped with dough and also wrap the foil with dough. Wet the edges of the head and press it to the body.

7. Wet the lower part of the head with water and wrap it with a strip of dough.

8. From small dough balls we form bunny eyes and glue them.

9. We finish making the bunny's muzzle, soak the top of his head and glue the ears to it on the water.

10. From the wire we make a bunny mustache, stick them into his cheeks to mark holes, and take them out.

11. Now we sculpt a bunny vest from salt dough. To do this, we roll it thinly and cut out two trapeziums from it. These will be the right and left halves of the vest. We glue the vest to the body of the bunny and draw cells on it with a stack.

12. Glue the front legs of the bunny.

13. We color the muzzle and tummy of the hare in orange, and his vest in blue.

14. Acrylic paints paint the hare's whiskers, and when they dry, insert them into the prepared holes.

15. We paint the bunny's hind legs with black paint, and the balalaika with orange paint and attach it to the hare's front legs.

This is how we simply sculpt a funny figure from salt dough and rejoice with the children.
