Papier mache flowers with their own hands. Papier-mache flowers

This article will focus on one unusual and original technique for creating crafts - papier-mâché. With simple tricks and simple materials very beautiful gizmos are created - vases, caskets, masks and theatrical props, interior decor items such as lamps, dolls, photo frames and much more.

Papier-mache can be translated from French as torn paper. Actually, the meaning is already revealed in the title. All crafts are formed from paper fibers with the addition of various adhesives.

Although the name of the technique is French, it came to us from ancient China- the birthplace of paper. During the excavations, archaeologists discovered armor with a multi-layered lacquer coating, dated to the 3rd century BC. These original products they were strong enough to withstand a sliding cutting blow and had a very low weight, which was an advantage in battle. Later, this art appeared in Japan and Persia, where they made various crafts for holidays, for example, masks. From the middle of the 17th century, this technique became very popular in Europe.

For those who are just learning papier-mâché crafts, it will be important to learn three ways to create them.

To begin with, you will need a base for crafts. It can then be removed from under the layers of paper or left.

The first method is as follows: the first layer - wet paper pieces are covered with glue, another layer of paper is applied to it and again covered with glue. There may be more than a hundred such layers. This process is called mashing. You can choose a special glue, it is sold in needlework stores or make it yourself from starch, flour and PVA. If, according to the plan, the form needs to be removed, then it must first be lubricated with a greasy cream or petroleum jelly.

The second way - the product is created from paper pulp mixed with glue. There are several recipes for creating such a mixture. The main principle is to soak paper pieces in water and mix them with glue. The resulting mass can be cast into a mold or applied to the base.

The base form can be wooden, plastic, glass or plastic products.

The third option for creating papier-mache crafts is similar to making plywood. Pieces of cardboard are treated with glue and pressed.

After drying, the products can be covered with putty, sanded, primed and, after final drying, painted, glued various decorative elements or painted.

Vases in papier-mâché technique

Such a wonderful element of room decor as a vase is underestimated by many and considered unnecessary. But a vase that is correctly selected in color and shape will certainly become an exquisite touch in the design of the room, and will make an additional emphasis on the style of the room. According to the teachings of Feng Shui, vases accumulate positive Qi energy, which has a beneficial effect on the energy of the house. A handmade vase will not only decorate the room, it will carry a piece of the positive creative energy of the creator.

Vase papier-mâché in the technique of mashing

To create a papier-mâché vase you will need:

  • Vase base (in given master classroom glass vase);
  • Newspapers;
  • Paper bags (you need rough paper, you can use packing paper);
  • PVA glue;
  • Sharp knife;
  • Artificial (synthetic) brush;
  • Acrylic paint or primer;
  • Finishing paints;
  • A piece of sponge;
  • Decor elements;
  • Petrolatum.

So let's get started. First you need to lubricate the glass base with petroleum jelly, this will prevent the layers from sticking to the base.

We cut the newspaper and paper into pieces. Can be broken. Now we take the glue, if necessary we dilute it a little with water so that it is not too thick. We cover our base in layers, alternating a layer of newspapers and a layer wrapping paper. This is necessary in order for the coating to be uniform. You will see if you miss a section somewhere. You need to make at least 6 layers.

Now we are waiting for complete drying. Patience is needed here - it can take a long time to dry.

When you finally wait, make several cuts along the workpiece with a knife (see photo).

Carefully pull the base out of the paper cocoon. We glue the places of the cuts with masking or ordinary tape. Now the workpiece needs to be pasted over with paper in one layer and again wait for complete dryness.

Cover with primer or paint white color. When it dries, paint again, this time in the color that you like, well, or corresponds to the idea. Dry again.

Let's get to the decor. In this master class, the lower part of the vase is decorated with a coarse rope. Do not forget to glue part of the vase under the decor.

Now we paint the winding of the rope with a sponge. Our vase is ready.

Papier-mâché vase in clay technique

You will need:

  • Flour ¾ cup;
  • Toilet paper 1 roll;
  • PVA glue;
  • Mixer;
  • food film;
  • Balloons (for the base).

Unwind toilet paper, put in a container and pour big amount water for about 20 minutes. Then we drain the water, tear the paper into pieces.

We prepare the adhesive solution. It is necessary to mix 1 part of glue, 3 parts of water (it will be about 1 cup) + ¾ cup of flour. Add this to the paper and mix until smooth. It is more convenient to use a mixer.

We form a cake from the obtained raw materials. Inflate a balloon or fill it with water. Now we cover with our cake no less than half. Leave the tail of the ball free of mass. Of course, the ball must be lubricated so that the mass does not stick tightly to it. Use cream or Vaseline.

We put our workpiece on cling film and wrap it tightly. Now you need to twist the ends of the film. We make the shape more spherical.

Leave the workpiece to dry completely. We blow off the balloon, paint as desired and make up beautiful compositions with small vases.

In the next craft, two types of arts and crafts were combined - papier-mâché and decoupage.

papier mache plate

This craft will be a great decorative element for the kitchen or dining room. Just choose colors and pictures that match the decor of the room.

You will need:

  • Glass plate base;
  • Toilet paper 1 roll;
  • PVA glue and wallpaper (already liquid);
  • A piece of gauze;
  • Vaseline or something greasy (to lubricate the base);
  • Putty;
  • White gouache;
  • Watercolor paints;
  • Napkin with a pattern (to your taste);
  • Gold-colored gel contour (or any other decorative elements);
  • Clear nail polish.

Advice! If you need putty in your work, it will be cheaper to buy it at a hardware store, and not at a needlework store.

Tear toilet paper into pieces and soak in warm water. Need a couple of hours. The resulting mass must be thoroughly mixed and filtered from excess liquid. You can use gauze.

Add both glues and stir again. For convenience, you can take a mixer. The mass should be very elastic. Roll up a ball to test. If the form holds, then the mass is ready. You can add 1-2 tablespoons of putty.

Lubricate the base plate from the outside with something greasy. Suitable hand cream, petroleum jelly or vegetable oil.

We cover the plate with our mass and leave it to dry completely. Be patient, as this will take quite a long time - up to several days.

If there are irregularities at the edges after drying, cut off. We putty our workpiece and again leave it to dry completely. We cover with white gouache, thanks to this watercolor paints lie down better. Glue the selected picture from the napkin.

When everything dries again, mix paints with gouache and paint our plate. In this master class, a golden border is applied along the contour of the plate.

We cover with varnish (use a car aerosol). The plate is ready.

Papier-mâché photo frame

Very often you can find crafts from old car tires or plastic bottles. For this beautiful frame, garbage was also used - cardboard egg trays.

You will need:

  • Egg trays (4-5 depending on how big you want the frame)
  • PVA glue;
  • Foil or cling film;
  • Board base (you can take a regular cutting board);
  • Mixer;
  • deep capacity;
  • Gauze;
  • Cutter for internal contours;
  • Laces (to create texture);
  • Gouache.

We take our trays and tear them into small pieces. We put it in a deep bowl and pour boiling water over it. The water should completely cover the paper pieces. Let it swell until the next day. Of course, the time is relative, since the amount of paper you have may vary. Just after a couple of hours, try it, if the pieces are spreading under your fingers, then the mass is ready.

Drain off half of the liquid. Then take the mixer and mix everything until smooth. The more we spend on mixing, the better the texture will be. If you want a rough structure of the product, beat with a mixer for a short time. In the process of whipping, add a few tablespoons of PVA glue.

We again need to get rid of excess fluid. To do this, put the mass in gauze and put it under the press in a colander. Cheese or cottage cheese is made in a similar way. To find out if the mass is ready, you need to form a small piece. You can pinch it with your fingers or roll it up. If it holds its shape, then it’s enough to squeeze out moisture, you can create a frame.

We take our base and cover it with foil or cling film. This is necessary so that the mass does not dry tightly to the board.

We roll out a layer of about 1 cm. The main thing is that the layer is equal over the entire surface.

Let's start building the frame. In the center you need to make a recess for the photo. Choose any shape you like. For example, a box cotton buds. Now we place it in the center of the workpiece and gently press it 2 - 3 mm. Without removing the mold, cut off the edges of the frame, you can use a ruler and a sharp knife.

Now we need to make our frame textured. To do this, take the cord, fold it and squeeze out the spirals on the frame. Depth is about a couple of millimeters. You can draw strokes with a toothpick or a needle.

Now leave for a while for the frame to dry. As usual, it takes from several hours to several days.

When the craft is completely dry, paint it. In order to emphasize the texture, it is better to use gouache for painting. When the paint is completely dry, all that remains is to stick the photo in the center, you can use double-sided tape. On the reverse side, you can glue the mount-leg.

From papier-mâché, you can make hundreds of various vases, caskets, plates and other elements of room decor. But you can decorate with crafts from this raw material not only rooms. In the next master class, we will offer to make a mask in the spirit of the Venetian carnival. Due to the sufficient plasticity and harmlessness of the mass, it will be easy to create a mask just for yourself, according to your own standards.

Venetian papier-mache mask

You will need:

  • Toilet paper and newspapers;
  • Fatty glue or Vaseline;
  • PVA glue;
  • Acrylic paints;
  • Elements for decor (lace, feathers, rhinestones, beads, beads, etc.).

We cut or tear the newspaper and toilet paper into strips.

Now the most important thing. Your face will serve as the basis for your future mask. It must be lubricated with a greasy cream or petroleum jelly. In order for the mask to turn out well, it is very necessary not to express emotions on your face - not to move your eyebrows, not to smile. Keep calm.

We begin to glue a layer of newspaper pieces smeared with glue. If necessary, they can be moistened with water so that they lie as tightly as possible to the face. Alternate between a layer of newspaper and a layer toilet paper. Thanks to this, you will see if you miss a piece somewhere. You need about 5-6 layers. Try to immediately lay out the form in which you want to get the mask.

When you're done with the layers, take a hair dryer and dry the workpiece right on your face. Once the mask dries, remove and dry naturally. Trim the edges carefully with scissors. Lay the workpiece with the convex side up. Do not forget to make holes for rubber bands or other fasteners.

When the mask is completely dry, cover acrylic paint at both sides. You can decorate the mask with any details to your taste: feathers, lace, beaded strings, rhinestones or beads.

The papier-mâché technique is in great demand not only as a way to create beautiful crafts, interior items, but also as one of the types of recycling of obsolete newspapers and egg cartons. This skill is now very common, used in educational institutions including kindergartens. The created products are durable, smooth and resistant to weather conditions, so they can be placed in rooms, left on the street, as an element of decor in the courtyard of a private house or garden.

How to make papier mache out of egg cartons

The technique involves the use of two methods - pasting a certain base with newspaper pieces or modeling from a special mass. In this case, it is often used egg trays. Having collected them, you can make a large enough sculpture for winter or summer garden. And all you need is egg trays, water, glue.

A feature of the technique and the main key to success is the accuracy of the modeling. One of the important factors is to let each piece of the craft dry well. In this case, it will not fall apart and will not change over time.

Papier-mache master class: flowers

With glue and egg trays you can make beautiful flowers.

This will require:

  • 5 egg trays;
  • Water;
  • Scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • White acrylic or gouache;
  • Thermal gun;
  • Thick wire (will act as a stem for a flower);
  • Paints, brushes.
  • Colorless nail polish.

The craft is covered with acrylic and painted in the appropriate color. Eyes, nose are drawn with a marker.

Dwarf. Thanks to the papier-mâché technique, the masters make the most interesting compositions. And in the event that artistic talent is present, then there is an opportunity to create large sculptures for the garden, for example, a gnome. Of course, it will take much more time to make, because street gnomes are quite voluminous sculptures. And here it is important that every detail dries well for the strength and durability of the structure.

Need:

  1. 5 liter empty plastic container (torso);
  2. Balloon or ball (head);
  3. 30-40 egg trays;
  4. Water;
  5. PVA glue or paste (about 1.5 l);
  6. Paints and brushes;
  7. White enamel;
  8. The coating varnish is colorless.

Papier mache

Papier mache (fr. papier-mache"chewed paper") - an easily moldable mass obtained from a mixture of fibrous materials (paper, cardboard) with adhesives, starch, gypsum, etc. From papier mache they make dummies, masks, teaching aids, toys, theatrical props, boxes. In some cases, even furniture.

In Fedoskino, Palekh, Kholui from papier mache make the basis for a traditional lacquer miniature.

You can decorate the blank from Papier mache not only with paints, like famous artists, but using or.

Good luck with your creativity!

Catalog: Paper works

materials

  • Papier-mâché, PVA glue, copper wire(for stems), threads, semolina

Preparation method

  1. She promised to tell about papier-mâché flowers. I made a basket from old magazines (description is detailed in my works), painted with blue gouache and realized that something very sunny and bright was missing. So there was an occasion to talk about flowers.
  2. Cut out flower petals from colored papier-mâché. We arrange the paper so that the direction of the corrugation is vertical. If you want bells, then the petals are elongated, more oval. If roses, then round and 2-3 sizes, small, medium and larger.
  3. We form the petals. In the center, we stretch the corrugation with our fingers, straighten it, giving volume. We carefully clamp the tip of the petal with a ruler or the blunt side of the scissors and stretch it to the end. Thus, the petal bends, curls.
  4. Next is the pestle. We form a loop from the wire at the end, grease it with glue and wrap it in a thin strip of papier-mâché (I have Brown). Next, grease the pestle again with glue and sprinkle with semolina. The pestle is ready.
  5. Collecting a flower. Alternately around the pestle we lay the petals-blanks, grabbing them with wire or thread. The more petals, the more magnificent your flower. We fix with the same thread or wire.
  6. Now you need a thin strip of green papier-mâché. We glue it to the base of the bud, wrap it several times (hiding the junction of the petals) and smoothly wrap the stem wire in a spiral to the bottom, glue the tip.
  7. Leaves. Not wise. I cut off a thin strip of green papier-mâché, collected it with a fan, wrapped the stem and secured it with glue (you can use thin wire)

It is not difficult to make crafts from papier-mâché with your own hands. Let's learn the basics and prepare the necessary materials.

The emergence of this technique for making crafts most likely occurred in France. Papier mache is French for "chewed paper". There is nothing surprising in the name, because for crafts you need a newspaper, A4 white sheets and glue.

There are 2 different ways:

  • glue the pieces in stages, in layers (mashing);
  • sculpt from wet paper pulp.

Most items are made easily and quickly, but it takes a long time to dry. Finishing sometimes takes a day or two, especially when the product is complex.

Paste recipe

A paste is needed to connect paper parts. Ordinary PVA is too thick, wallpaper will not work either.

The sticky mass can be made at home, following a simple recipe: PVA and plain water. They are mixed in a ratio of 2:1. It is not necessary to cook the paste, you can buy it ready-made in specialized stores.

mashing

Do-it-yourself papier-mâché products for beginners - choose simple ones. So, in order to “sculpt” a cup or a vase, you need to choose a suitable container. The manufacturing technique is quite simple:

  • Cover the outside of the container with foil.
  • Then tear up the paper, trying to make the pieces small. Try to emphasize the rounded parts of the future figure.
  • Step by step stick the pieces on the outside over the foil. Arrange them slightly crosswise to avoid the formation of gaps. Glue is more convenient to coat on top of the paper - it will then soak itself. It's better to straighten out.
  • When finished, allow the product to dry. It is best to leave it overnight.
  • Apply a couple more coats the next day. If you plan to paint the finished figure with paints, then the final one is made from white paper torn into small pieces.

It is convenient for beginners to use this method.

Production of adhesive mass

Of particular interest is a kind of papier-mâché technique. A newspaper, a roll of waste toilet paper (multi-layered, soft), napkins, or a package of new paper towels will do.

Before making papier mache, carefully fold the paper and cut it. If there are no scissors or you want to quickly, then pluck to get the same squares (the recommended size is 1.5 × 1.5 cm).

Put them in one mug to the top, or you can put them in a mixer. Now fill with water, mix well. Add fluid little by little if necessary.

It is easier to soak the paper, wait three hours, then stir it with your hands, forming a paper mass.

Drain excess liquid with a sieve. Transfer the resulting mass to a large bowl, add a spoonful of glue, a little paste. Stir. A mixture of glue + paste is necessary, because a simple paste is not enough, and if you get by with one glue, then it is difficult to sculpt

Add more until the mass becomes sticky and resembles dough. You can adjust the degree of liquid by adding glue or decanting water. Enhance the strength of sawdust.

When finished, hide the paper pulp in a regular bag and store in the refrigerator.

What can be done at home using the papier-mâché technique:

  • caskets;
  • dishes;
  • animal figurines;
  • eggs;
  • mugs;
  • various carnival masks;
  • beads;
  • beautiful gift boxes;
  • earrings;
  • paintings (using thick cardboard to create the base).

Helpful tips for beginners:

  1. The duration of production directly depends on the type of craft.
  2. Remember to dry the paper layers thoroughly each time after laying. Standard drying - 1-2 days, only then the finished product will please with durability.
  3. You can decorate them with gouache or watercolor, and to fix the result, cover the finished figure with varnish.

  1. If in modeling you need paper strips, try to lay them out randomly without a system, regularly changing position.
  2. Instead of newspapers, unnecessary napkins or white offset, you should take toilet or multi-colored corrugated paper, cardboard pieces of packages, from cereals.
  3. Protect your hands with latex gloves.
  4. Before decorating, the finished craft must be primed. Construction putty will help create smoothness and beautiful curves.
  5. If you are attaching the paper layers to one particular base, treat it with sunflower oil first. After the end of the part, it will be easier to separate from the surface of the walls.
  6. Are you planning a white craft? It is more convenient to use sheets of white paper, then the paint will not come in handy.
  7. Cover the finished product with a transparent varnish, it will not crack and retain the brightness of the color for a long time.

Carnival mask

A detailed master class will help create a beautiful carnival mask for a magical holiday night!

What will be required:

  • plastic form (on the base);
  • thin elastic band (fastening at the back);
  • newspaper;
  • white napkins;
  • sifted flour;
  • filtered water;
  • scissors;
  • a piece of openwork fabric;
  • stationery glue;
  • brush.

Manufacturing:

  1. The first step is to prepare the glue. Pour pre-sifted flour into a deep bowl, pour water. Mix well to obtain a homogeneous thick mass.
  2. Cut the newspaper into identical small squares (size 1.5 × 1.5 cm), and the napkin into thin strips.
  3. Lubricate the upper part of the face (where the mask is supposed to be) for safety.
  4. Gently moisten newspaper squares with water, then apply them to your face, modeling the shape and exact dimensions of the future mask.
  5. Coat the finished first layer with a paste. Newspaper squares will also be next. Keep the shape of the mask set earlier.
  6. The third layer is applied with strips smeared with glue.
  7. The fourth layer is again newspaper squares, then white cut napkins.
  8. At the end, soak the workpiece with a paste.
  9. Wait for the material to dry slightly. You can use a hair dryer to dry.
  10. Carefully remove the mask blank and place it in a warm but dark place. Wait a day.
  11. When dry, carefully cut off excess from the edges with scissors, forming an even layer everywhere. Mark teardrop holes for the eyes.
  12. Textile. Wrap it around the mask, then firmly fix the edges with glue from the inside.
  13. Let it dry, then cut two holes in the fabric under the eyes, immediately fix the free edges inside the mask with glue.
  14. It remains to attach an elastic band to the finished product.

Papier-mâché egg

Mastering the technique of paper plastic with a child. It's best to start by making an egg. For the development of children's motor skills, needlework is extremely useful. Lessons learned together will be remembered for a long time.

Manufacturing:

  1. For the base, it is more convenient to take a toy egg or mold it from a piece of plasticine. Be sure to cover the product with ordinary sunflower oil, otherwise you will not be able to peel off the paper layer later.
  2. When finished with the base, cut the newspaper. Pour water into the bowl. Soak the finished pieces in it.
  3. Form the first layer from paper moistened with water without glue.
  4. Stir the adhesive mixture, the composition of which is: 2: 1 (2 - glue, 1 - filtered water).
  5. Lubricate each of the subsequent layers with glue step by step. There will be 7 or 8 in total.
  6. Leave the workpiece for 1-2 days, let it dry thoroughly.
  7. Paint the egg mold with white paint and leave again.
  8. Carefully cut the dried blank with a knife, pull out the base. Using superglue, simply glue the paper egg halves together again.
  9. Color the eggs however you like.

Similarly, you can make an apple, pear, watermelon and any other fruit (vegetable). The main thing is the basis for papier-mâché crafts. Remember that a watermelon is large, round, a pumpkin is more flattened laterally and has ribbed edges, a pear has an elongated shape. The bottom is wider, and the top, on the contrary, narrower.

The easiest way is to sculpt the bases from ordinary plasticine. From it it is easy to adjust the shape and estimate the size of the future product.

The finish is the same, only the colors are different.

papier mache flowers

Making flowers from papier-mache newspapers is more difficult than making voluminous figures. The technique is as follows: the petals are made separately, then, after drying and coloring, they are attached to one central base, collecting a flower. The required materials are the same, only with a standard set you need a glass, balloon, special glue gun and a sheet of thick cardboard.

Manufacturing:

  1. First stage. First dilute PVA with water, mix thoroughly. The proportions are approximately 2:1 (where 2 is glue). Tear up the newspaper. Inflate the balloon, trying to estimate the size of the future flower.
  2. Second phase. Gently cover the surface of the ball with newspaper pieces soaked in glue. Form 4 layers. When finished, leave the balloon to dry. It will take 3-4 days. It is better to paste over several balls at once, it will be faster.
  3. Third stage. Cut the dried workpiece into two identical halves. These are the petals of the future flower. Paint them as intended. Draw white stripes from the inside. Below, add some smaller black lines.
  4. With scissors, give the petals the shape you need, paint over the trimming points with the main color.
  5. You will need 5-6 petals per bud.
  6. The fourth stage is assembly. The middle will be made of cardboard, and alternately glue the petals on it. Place the first two opposite, then two more in the remaining free places. Send the flower to dry.
  7. The fifth stage is the middle. Crumple the newspaper, wrap the resulting lump twice with a napkin. Fasten with white thread. Fix tighter. First connect them crosswise, turn over and cross again. You will get a ball with several selected slices. Attach the finished middle to the center of the dried flower and paint gently green, draw small black strokes on top with the end of the brush. The last are the white dots on top.
  8. Sixth stage. A sheet of cardboard will be the basis of the future picture. Gently glue the finished flowers to it and draw additional green branches. And cut out the leaves from thin cardboard. Paint green and glue two to each of the colors.

Papier-mâché airplane

This toy will definitely become great gift or interior decoration. Light, beautiful, it seems that it is about to take off.

What will be required:

  • small plastic bottle;
  • 8 covers;
  • special masking tape;
  • cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • newspaper sheets;
  • PVA glue;
  • brush;
  • paints.

Manufacturing:

  1. You can make an airplane out of papier mache based on plastic bottle. Cut out with a knife (or scissors, as it is more convenient) the middle part from the narrowing point. So you will make the future plane shorter. Cut off all unnecessary ledges at the bottom, leaving one. Remove the neck, so the fuselage will become smooth and beautiful. You need a ledge at the bottom, attach the tail there.
  2. Connect the parts of the cut bottle with tape. Draw the outlines, cut out the wings, as well as all three parts of the tail from cardboard. Attach them alternately to the base of the aircraft using tape.
  3. Chassis. Fold the covers (2 for the front, 6 for the main unit), fasten them with tape. They will be the chassis wheels.
  4. Close the neck opening paper ball, forming it from sheets of crumpled paper. For reliability, the connection can be fastened together.
  5. Wrap the bottle more tightly with adhesive tape, paste over it on top with 3-4 layers using papier-mâché (overlap it with pieces of paper soaked alternately in glue).
  6. Leave in advance a strip of plastic on the nose of the future aircraft. Pilots need a clean windshield!
  7. Let dry and paint the plane. Draw round windows, glue the pilot figure in front, the faces of the passengers on the side.

In a similar way, you can make a whale - cut out fins, a base from an unnecessary bottle, or mold it from plasticine. In the latter case, cut the halves of the body after drying, then glue it again. Do the fins and the end of the tail separately.

Big papier mache hedgehog

Making animal figurines is an easy but fun process.

To make a hedgehog, you will need:

  • plastic bottle (large) - 5l; (average) - 1.5 l;
  • unnecessary newspapers;
  • gypsum putty and bandage;
  • egg trays;
  • toothpicks;
  • paints;
  • artificial eyes (from toys).

Manufacturing:

  1. Cut off bottle necks. Insert them into each other. This is the muzzle of the future hedgehog.
  2. Add volume to the figure with moistened newspaper pieces. Paste the back, sides, bottom. So you give the hedgehog naturalness. Blind the muzzle in the same way.
  3. Leave to dry, then cover the entire craft with putty.
  4. Hedgehog spines. Insert the toothpicks, placing them obliquely, at an angle, while the putty dries.
  5. Paint the hedgehog and, after waiting for it to dry, glue the eyes. If there are no ready ones, then you can draw.

papier mache mushrooms

You will need unnecessary trays left after the eggs. Soak them and leave to infuse for a day. By the way, fill with hot water.

What will be required:

  • soaked trays;
  • paste, separately PVA;
  • corrugated paper;
  • gouache;
  • ordinary starch;
  • semolina;
  • coil of wire.

Manufacturing:

  1. As soon as the trays, softened, begin to disintegrate, crush them with your hands and leave to soak further.
  2. To make the mass more homogeneous, you can use a blender. Squeeze the mixture through cheesecloth or a regular rag, removing excess liquid. You will get a wonderful mass, from which it is easy to fashion any figure: a helmet, a tree, a fish (you will make the fins separately or immediately), a stump (the color of the trays is just brown).
  3. Before work, you need to add a little paste, otherwise you can’t sculpt, the figures will turn out to be too fragile. Form a mushroom - start rolling a small ball. And to give it more smoothness, take some round container.
  4. The hat of the future mushroom will be perfect if you throw the ball with force on the table. Now make a small hole inside the finished hat.
  5. From the second similar ball, form the leg of the mushroom.
  6. Dry the parts, then glue them. It is more convenient to start with a long leg. Cover with crepe paper. To level the surface before crepe, glue the blanks with sheets of soft toilet paper in 2-3 layers.
  7. Paint the finished hat with a stalemate on top, and leave the bottom. Pat is a mixture obtained from a PVA compound, a small amount of starch and brown (you can red or yellow, depending on which mushrooms) paint. First, the glue is mixed with the right amount of starch, after which the mixture is dyed. The finished stalemate is stored in a separate jar and covered with a lid to prevent drying.
