The lazy method often makes patterns with a repeating ornament, called jacquards. This method greatly simplifies the work, since only the corresponding loops of the front and back rows are knitted with a thread of each color according to the pattern, without knitting those that require yarn of a different color. They are performed in the next two rows, and knitted earlier are removed.

Thus, alternating the execution of each two rows different color, jacquard patterns are knitted, and as a result, a dense knitted fabric is obtained, examples of the execution patterns of which we present. The implementation of knitted patterns in various color variations is acceptable not only for children's clothing patterns. For example, various zigzags and missons are extremely spectacular patterns, long and successfully used in the production of models women's clothing especially dresses and skirts.

Patterns imitating waves and zigzags are knitted from yarn of two or more colors. For execution knitted fabric according to the presented sample, the number of loops must be a multiple of 14 + 1 for the execution of the symmetry of the pattern + 2 edge. Knit as follows:

Having considered the submitted two-color knitting patterns, diagrams and description, we note that there are a lot of techniques for making knitted fabrics, as well as drawings. What can we say about the models of clothes connected with two-tone patterns!

For example, a sweater for a boy, created with a patent rubber band, perfectly combines ease of implementation, practicality of the solution, attractiveness and functionality of the model. To perform sizes 32-34, you will need 150-200 gr. blue yarn and dark blue colors(wool mixture 250 m / 100 g), knitting needles No. 2 and 2.5, auxiliary knitting needle No. 2.5.

The sweater is knitted with a patent elastic band, the knitting pattern of which is indicated in the article. The density of knitting according to the sample is 22 loops and 52 rows of 10 * 10 cm. Based on this pattern, overlaps are made, forming large braids. "Scythe" of 12 loops:

Having knitted 40-44 cm, close the middle 22 loops and finish the part, separately filling out each side and closing in each front row 3p., 2p., 1p. Close the shoulder seam (30 p.) 2 cm from the neck line.

Sleeves: for gum (needles No. 2) they gain 45 loops, knit 4 cm. Continue on needles No. 2.5 DPR. On both sides for bevels, add 1 loop 19 times in each 8th row. At a height of 30-32 cm, the sleeve is closed.

To process the neck, the loops are assembled on a circular knitting needle, having previously stitched the shoulder sections on one side. They make an inlay, if desired, you can tie a high collar. Having closed the loops, sew the second shoulder cut, side seams, sew in the sleeves.

Knitted socks with a two-tone pattern

Not only clothes are created using two-color knitting. Sock models and home shoes, made from yarn of two colors, have long been a great alternative to purchased products. A good example is the socks shown in the photo (size 37-38).

They are performed like this:

Yarn of two colors (but the same texture) of medium thickness (200 m / 100 g), knitting needles No. 2.5.

Cast on 49 sts with C and knit 2 rows, then, changing yarn (B), work 2 more rows of faces.

5 row (thread C): marginal, * remove 1 loop NZR, 1 person. * last marginal knit out. As a result of the alternation, the needle will have loops of different colors.

6 row (C): edge, * 1 remove NPR, 1 persons. *

7-8, 11-12 rows (thread B): all persons.
9 row (C): edge, the next 23 loops are knitted, repeating the algorithm * 1 loop, remove NZR, 1 person. * Then the 24th. loop to remove the NZR, and from the 25th knit 9 loops (persons., nakid, persons., nakid, etc.), then to the end of the row * 1 loop to remove the NZR, 1 persons. *

Row 10 (C): Work in the same way as the 6th row, and knit the central sts of the addition.

Repeating the sequence of knitting rows from the 9th to the 12th, knit up to 7 rapports of addition, that is, a chain of 7 "bells" is formed in the center of the sock. The next 4 rows are performed as rows from the 5th to the 8th.

At this stage, the knitting of the top of the sock is completed. There are 98 stitches on the needles. The trail and heel are performed on 10 central loops. 44 loops remain on the sides ((98 - 10) / 2).

Knit 44 sts + 10 sts, knit the next 2 sts together. The work is turned and 10 loops are knitted, and one of the next 2 is knitted again. Continuing in this way, knit until the side loops run out. When finished, the loops are closed and the heel is sewn together.

toddler: 12-14 inches (30.5 - 35.5 cm);
child: 14-16 inches (40.5 - 45.5 cm);
female: 20 inches (50.5 cm);
male: 22 inches (56 cm).

Multiply your knitting density by the corresponding head circumference,

pick up such a number of loops that it is a multiple of 4.

This is your starting count. sts. Cast on your number of sts with the base color MC using the appropriate size circular needle. Join the loops in a circle, knit to the desired height with intarsia - half the loops in the main color MC, half the loops in the contrasting color SS. Cross the threads on the wrong side so that there are no holes.

When you reach the desired height (depth) of the hat, count 6 loops in the middle of each color, remove them on double-pointed knitting needles. Cut the threads, leaving tails for sewing the remaining open loops.
Set aside 6 loops on each side, knit in a circle (or using the i-cord method) to the desired height, cut the thread, stretch through all the loops, tighten, fasten, tuck in the ends.
Sew the remaining open loops of the cap with a knitted seam, tuck in the ends.

Most of the text is a description of intarsia around the circle. The method is that the loops of each color are knitted back and forth.
