Creative success to you! Happy New Year 2018!!!

Winter and new year holidays‒ a special time when even adults begin to believe a little in a miracle, a fairy tale, make wishes and sincerely expect them to come true. And there is no need to talk about the mood of the kids.

Every family tries to decorate the house for the holiday and, of course, decorate the Christmas tree. And if you want the toys on your Christmas tree to be the most beautiful and original, try to make various New Year's crafts with your own hands with your family. Especially since new year origami- this is one of the best extraordinary ways to decorate an evergreen beauty.

Gift from the Land of the Rising Sun

Origami became known to the whole world only in the middle of the last century, but in Japan, in its historical homeland, this art has been known and loved since time immemorial. By the way, origami was a favorite pastime of noble people of the state, so they often practiced it, and if someone from the upper strata of society did not own the artistic technique of folding volumetric figures from paper, he could be very ashamed of this, because he would be considered ill-bred .

Today, both children and adults are fond of origami, because it's so cool, interesting and easy to create beautiful crafts from paper with your own hands. Today you can make toys according to the classical traditions of technology (only one sheet of paper is plain and square, without the use of auxiliary tools such as scissors or glue), or you can slightly break the ancient rules, giving free rein to fantasy and creativity.

Japanese kusudamas are perfect as New Year's toys. This was the name of the balls that were once sewn from fabric to be used as a kind of container for collecting and storing medicinal herbs or for incense. However, today kusudamas are made like a modular origami ball - they simply glue it from several separate paper modules. In this decor, you can embody any interesting fantasy and make it wonderful decoration for the Christmas tree.

Balls-balls…. Magic and miracle from nothing

Despite the apparent complexity, even a child can make kusudama. For those who doubt their abilities, there are many master classes with diagrams, as well as video tutorials, in which you can take a closer look at the entire process of creating crafts with your own hands.

So, if you are ready to get started, then you will need to prepare some materials and tools so that you will not be distracted by anything:

  • Of course, you will need the paper itself - keep in mind that you need to take square sheets. In order to make one ball of kusudama, you need 60 sheets of paper. Diameter future toy will depend on the diameter of the sheets (for example, if you take standard A4 sheets and make squares out of them, then you will end up with an approximately 30-diameter ball, but from small stationery sheets - a very miniature ball);
  • also prepare a pencil and a ruler;
  • do not forget about scissors and glue;
  • decor - at your discretion - a ribbon to hang a toy, beads, sparkles, foil, etc.

Choose the color of paper depending on what kind of DIY craft you want to make.

    • First you need to take your square and fold it. This must be done strictly diagonally.

    • You will get a triangle, the side corners of which will need to be bent to the top. Just make sure you get it symmetrical.

    • Next, try to carefully straighten each of these bent corners. As a result of your efforts, it should turn out that the longitudinal fold will pass in the middle.

    • Now you will be dealing with diamonds. Their corners also need to be bent.

    • After that, in your hands you will get a figure, on the sides of which there will be two small triangular envelopes. Each of them will have to be alternately folded in half, bending the outer edges.

    • It's time to use glue. You need to carefully glue those narrow triangles that you got so that the petal comes out.

    • In the same way, model other petals of different colors, because in each individual flower there are five of them.

  • Kusudama balls are complex designs related to modular or 3D origami, because the whole figure will consist of many identical parts or modules. For your craft, you need to make twelve flowers.

The finished product can be sprinkled with sparkles, decorated with small foil stamens, glued beads on it and attached a ribbon. Voila - magic ball do-it-yourself origami is ready and will delight you, giving a festive mood and a smile.

You can also make any other New Year's toys using the origami technique. For example, it is very easy to cut eleven strips from a multi-colored sheet (width with an A4 sheet of paper is approximately 19 mm). All the stripes will need to be collected in a pile, firmly connecting them in the center (use thread or tape for this). Next, the inner edge of each strip must be bent to the center and glued. So you get a beautiful voluminous toy.

Once you look at the diagram, you can easily collect a star with six or nine rays, and flowers, and snowflakes, and Christmas trees. The main thing is just to start. Let the flight of your imagination allow you to embody the most beautiful and original ideas V New Year's toys made by hand.

In this article you will find popular craft paper balls for all occasions. For example, you have a holiday at home and you need to decorate the apartment. All crafts of varying complexity from the simplest to the most complex. Have a good time.

How to make a paper ball with your own hands.

Option 2

Here we will tell you how to make a beautiful ball of multi-colored paper with your own hands. To do this, we need 3 sheets of different colors, a circle template, a pencil, scissors.

1. Cut out 4 identical circles from the same color, and similarly with other colors. You should end up with 12 circles of the same size.

2. We add the circles in a certain order: 2 circles of the same color (for example, 2 blue), then put 2 circles of a different color on them (for example, 2 pink), then, for example, 2 blue, and repeat in the same order. After that, we bend them in half.

3. You can put a thread in the middle if the ball should end up hanging.

4. Fasten the middle with a stapler in two places (see photo below).

5. Divide one semicircle into 3 equal parts.

6. Apply glue diagonally to the top 1/3 of the semicircle. Then glue it to the adjacent semicircle.

8. And so with all the semicircles, alternating, glue all sides (see photo).

So quickly turned out a beautiful ball, made by hand, which can be hung on Christmas tree or decorate the interior.

Bright paper balls.

3 option

To make your hands so bright volumetric sphere we need to take colored paper and scissors.

1. After cutting out the templates, take one of the flowers and glue a long loop of thread to it.

Using balls to decorate the Christmas tree - old tradition. But glass decorations have to be constantly updated if there are small children and beloved pets at home. And plastic is no longer so interesting and festive. Therefore, it is worth remembering Japan. Origami masters can tell you many ways how to make Christmas paper balls with your own hands.

There are complex ways, but with an incredibly beautiful result. Some decorations can be made in just 5 minutes, if you try a little and involve the whole family in preparing for the New Year 2018.

For 2018, it is recommended to use pastel-colored paper for making. It is best to use shades of beige, yellow and brown. To prepare the most simple decorations you only need 16 strips of paper and a thread with a needle.

  1. A stack of long rectangles is stacked together.
  2. A hole must be made at both ends. It is desirable that it be in the middle, and there should be an indent of about 5 mm from the edge of the paper. So there is less chance that the ball will break. You can further strengthen this part by attaching a cardboard circle on top and bottom.
  3. A stack of sheets is bent in an arc and a thread is threaded through the holes. Knots are tied on both sides, or the edges of the rope are glued to the paper.
  4. You can add charm to the decoration if you string beads behind the knots as an additional element.
  5. The strips move apart until a ball is formed.

Made from ordinary white paper, such a decorative element can look unsightly. But if you experiment with different colors or try to make folds on the strips, you can get a unique and inimitable Christmas decoration.

Ball of 12 circles

One of the most simple ways Making beautiful Christmas paper balls with your own hands requires only a dozen round pieces, double-sided multi-colored paper of the same size and glue.

You can use one tone or several at once to create a more festive atmosphere. A stapler will also come in handy to fasten the parts of the workpiece together and a beautiful thread on which the ball will hang.

  1. With the help of a compass, 12 identical circles are drawn. Then they are cut with scissors and folded into a neat pile. When using several colors, it is better to lay the workpiece parts alternately, using 2 circles of the same color at a time.
  2. The entire stack along the axis is fastened with a stapler. One paperclip at the top and one at the bottom to hold the paper securely. Then, along this line, the workpiece is bent in half.
  3. A thread is glued in the middle of the resulting book, for which it will be possible to hang christmas ball. You can also secure it by making a loop and carefully tightening it around a stack of circles.
  4. The last step is gluing the layers. To do this, the semicircle is divided approximately into 3 equal parts. First, glue is applied to the upper third and the “page” is turned over. Then the lower part is glued and the layer is shifted again. So, observing the order, the operation is repeated until all the circles are glued together.

To prevent the layers from sticking, they can be fixed with ordinary paper clips.

After the ball is ready, it remains to hang it on the Christmas tree and start preparing other interesting decorations.

puzzle ball

Some decorations do not even require the use of glue and are a fun puzzle that you can make at home.

The easiest way to do this is to use ready-made schemes and templates that are printed on thick paper, so that later you can prepare New Year's balls in literally 5 minutes with your own hands.

But you can draw the base yourself. To do this, you need a compass and a pencil with a ruler:

  1. A circle is drawn.
  2. An equilateral triangle is inscribed inside.
  3. The circle is cut out. On the sides of the triangle, cuts are made at half the length.
  4. 8 circles are prepared according to the same scheme.

By connecting the parts with puzzles, it is necessary to make a single structure of 2 pyramids of 4 triangles.

The square bottom remains empty, so that later it can be attached to the second of the same design. The first attempt to assemble such a puzzle can take a lot of time. But later it will be possible to create jewelry without hesitation.

At the heart of the decoration, if you look closely, lies geometric figure- octahedron. By analogy, more complex decorations can be made if the base is not a triangle, but a square or a pentagon.

But the workpiece will be more difficult to do:

  • The required polygon is drawn.

  • Each side is the diameter of a circle. The compass needle is placed exactly in the middle and a semicircle is drawn connecting the vertices of the polygon.

  • The resulting figure is cut out.

  • On each side of the polygon, an incision is made to the middle, marked by a dot from the needle.

  • All that remains is to collect from the received parts volumetric figure. A cube is made from squares. This will require 6 blanks. Dodecahedron is formed from pentagons.

For its manufacture, you will need 12 parts already, but the result will look much more interesting.

Cones

To make some Christmas balls do-it-yourself paper does not even require a special step-by-step instruction. They are phenomenally easy and fast to make.

Cone decoration is very convenient and easy to do together with children, without worrying that everything around will be smeared with glue, and unevenly cut parts will ruin appearance finished Christmas ball.

For its manufacture you will need:

  • 10 circles of paper;
  • needle and thread;
  • scissors;
  • 2 sided tape.

In each circle, an incision is made exactly to the middle. If they were drawn with a compass, then this place will be marked with a puncture. The edges are folded to the middle with two cones and glued to the adhesive tape.

The resulting double parts remain strung on a thread. To do this, a puncture is made with a needle in the place where the tops of the cones are connected. It remains to carefully pull the thread so as not to tear the paper, and tie a loop at the end.

flower kusudama

In the Japanese tradition of origami, paper balls are called "kusudama" and are not used to celebrate the New Year. They are believed to accumulate positive energy, so they are often given to hospital patients with wishes for a speedy recovery.

For New Year's holidays can be used to decorate the house instead glass balls and toys such as "energy lanterns" made with paper. But this may require the patience of a real samurai.

One of the most beautiful traditional kusuda is made from 60 parts. Accordingly, all that is required is 6 dozen identical small squares and glue. The easiest way is to buy origami paper in a specialized shop, so as not to suffer with cutting.

There is a cheaper option - office leaflets for notes. Their quality may be worse, but the price will be significantly lower. If you look in stationery stores, you can even find many interesting colors.

  1. The square is folded in half. It is important to make sure that you get a neat double triangle.
  2. The edges of the triangle are applied to the top. The layers should not move, and it is advisable to iron the folds with a fingernail.
  3. The triangles bent to the top are again bent in half in the opposite direction. Get a schematic flower. A pocket will form on the outside.
  4. A layer of paper is taken out of the pocket and unfolded along the fold in the opposite direction. You will get 2 irregular rhombuses on both sides of the square.
  5. The short tops of the diamond are folded inward so that the top is on the fold line.
  6. The resulting triangles are folded in half towards the center of the figure.
  7. The edges of the folded triangles are glued and connected. The result is a petal with stamens inside.
  8. The petals are connected and glued together 5 pieces into flowers.

roll ball

Some Christmas balls are easy to make out of paper with your own hands just by looking at the photo with instructions without returning to it step by step.

Unlike other Christmas balls, this one will turn out to be quite dense and will require a lot of materials for manufacturing:

  1. 9 five meters paper tapes. Each should increase in width from 2 centimeters to 6, in increments of 5 mm.
  2. 15-20 cm ribbon for making an eyelet.
  3. A roll of mounting tape and a piece of 2-sided tape.
  4. PVA glue.

The ball is made quite simply. Choose the widest one first. paper strip and a mounting tape is glued in its middle. A loop is glued to one edge and the future New Year's ball begins to curl tightly around it.

After the first paper strip is folded into a tight roll, a second layer is wound on top of it, gradually moving to narrower details.

The last strip is not completely glued with mounting tape. On the last 3 cm, apply 2-sided tape so that the outside of the ball is beautiful and smooth, without sticking out. From above, you can additionally decorate the ball with quilling techniques or use decorative ribbons with patterns.

paper cones

To decorate the Christmas tree with your own hands Christmas balls from paper so that on the video from the holiday it would seem that expensive toys were used, it is enough just to use a wide hole punch.

You will need:

  • foam ball for the base of the future cone;
  • twine for an eyelet or a beautiful narrow ribbon;
  • glue;
  • a lot of thick paper circles 1-2 cm wide, depending on the diameter of the ball.

Rounds are easiest to make using a special hole punch. At the same time, this will help get rid of the stress accumulated before the holidays.

A hole is made in the first circle, where a loop thread is fixed, and then it is glued to the ball. The edges of the "flake" should remain unglued.

The result is a very elegant decoration that is not ashamed to hang on a Christmas tree.

I present to you my new craft from paper in technology origami modular: a ball on a Christmas tree.

You will never find such a toy in the store, but making it yourself is simple and interesting.

Materials:

  • Modules white color– 80 pieces
  • Colored modules - 420 pieces (7 colors, 60 modules each)
  • Satin ribbon narrow and medium
  • Toothpick
  • Cocktail tube

So, for starters, we collect modules, the choice of color for color modules is up to you. I used modules of green, blue, cyan, yellow, orange, pink and red.

We start the assembly by assembling 3 rows of white modules at the same time, 14 modules in a row. Please note that the modules of the first row are located on the short side, and the subsequent rows on the long side.

We close the modules in a ring.

In the fourth row, colored modules are used, which we put on 1 corner of the module of the previous row. We arrange the colors in the sequence you like, the main thing is to stick to it in the future.

We also alternate the next rows from colored modules, as in the previous row, shifting by 1 corner.

As we assemble, we give the ball a shape, in total it is necessary to lay out 15 rows of colored modules.

Dear craftswomen, take a short break in your work and look at the interesting service salesscanner.ru

Some time ago I discovered this service and I hope that it will be useful to you. The main idea is that it collects sale items from the top Runet online stores in one place, that is, it allows you to buy a quality product at a significant discount instead of paying the full price.

The last row, from white modules, is put on in the usual way and shaped into a ball.

And now we take a toothpick, tie a narrow satin ribbon or thread to it, form a loop.

We place a toothpick in a cocktail tube and draw a tube through the entire ball.

We stick out the toothpick, remove the tube. We cut the ends of the toothpick quite a bit and hide them in the modules of the first row. Due to this, our ball will have a loop. And the structure itself will not suffer.

From above, you can decorate the ball with a bow made of satin ribbon. On this master class: the origami modular ball on the Christmas tree is over. See you again, and don't miss the new article - a snowflake using modular origami technique.
