Needlework fabric selection textile angel. Do-it-yourself fabric angel: photo, patterns

The most magical holiday ever!

And if Christmas has spirits - past, present and future, then for the New Year such Angels were invented - Angel new year's eve, Angel of the New Year's dawn, Angel of the new day.

We will create a red-gold Angel, and for inspiration we will take a New Year's notebook-photo album

For work you will need materials:

1. Fabric for the body and head of the doll.

2. Fabric for arms and legs.

3. Contrasting fabric for the dress.

4. Sequins, New Year's braid, a bell for decorating a dress.

5. White felt and gold wing wrapping.

6. Threads for hair.

7. Ribbons, ribbons for decorating hairstyles.

8. White cotton and red candy ribbon.

9. Kraft paper and various scrap beauty for a gift, a quarter of a sponge for washing dishes.

10. Threads white, red, beige: reinforced thread for sewing on legs and head, beautiful threads for sewing on sequins.

11. Pastel, acrylic paints.

12. Stuffing (I usually have a padding polyester torn into small pieces).

Tools:

1. Sewing machine(You can do without it - sew everything on your hands).

2. Scissors.

3. Needles and needles.

4. A simple pencil.

5. Sushi stick.

6. Glue gun.

7. Brushes and brushes.

8. Ruler.

Pattern of an angel, he is still sleeping on it, we will wake up soon and open our eyes :)

We cut out the pattern, fold the fabric for the body and head with the right side inward, pin the pattern and sew it on a typewriter, leaving an opening for turning and stuffing.

We also sew the arms and legs, this procedure is repeated 2 times)

IMPORTANT! The pattern should be positioned in one direction relative to the threads of the fabric, in order to avoid distortions when stuffing, it is better to stitch with a minimum step, trying to round all possible corners.

We cut it out, we make notches along the perimeter every 5-7 mm, not reaching the seam just a little bit, we always make the notches perpendicular to the seam - the parts turn out easier and do not tighten the edges when stuffing. Who is the lucky owner of zigzag scissors - feel free to cut them :)

Using a stick for sushi, we turn out the details, straightening all the seams from the inside with a stick, we bend the edges of the stuffing hole inward according to the shape of the pattern. Everything is carefully ironed.

We start stuffing. I usually stuff with a split synthetic winterizer - it gives a dense and even stuffing. Very dense padding should be in the legs (to stand on them) and in the neck (to hold her head).

IMPORTANT! When stuffing the arms and legs, we apply them to each other, checking that they are the same, we stuff them in small portions, in the handles we first fill the fingers with a very tiny piece, and then the entire handle.

We sew the holes with a hidden seam, since the edges were inserted and ironed - the seam will turn out easily and evenly.

The next step is to create a face. Let's wake up the baby :)

For work you will need: a thread and a needle, a simple pencil, dry pastel, acrylic paints, brushes, a container of water. I apologize for the appearance of a simple pencil - it is terribly bitten ... But they are all so terribly bitten in my head - so creative thoughts are swarming in my head that I already eat pencils :)

If there is no pastel, a set of shadows will do desired colors, the main thing is that they are matte. Instead of acrylic paints, you can use nail polish - I think every young lady has plenty of them these days - and different colors, and with different brushes :) Or use gouache - only after drying, cover it with transparent varnish.

IMPORTANT! The eyes are located in the center of the face or slightly lower. The distance between the eyes should not be less than the size of the eye, the corners of the lips should not extend beyond the pupils of the eyes.

We start with tinting: we mix 2-3 colors of pastel crayons on a piece of paper, and mix it with a soft makeup brush right on the piece of paper, shake off the excess, and lightly tint the face around the circumference, cheeks and the middle of the forehead.

Now, with the help of threads, fixing them on the back of the head, we divide the angel's face into 4 parts: in the middle vertically and horizontally.

On a horizontal thread, we divide the distance (from seam to seam) into 5 parts, 2 parts on the sides, 2 parts for the eyes, 1 part for the distance between the eyes.

On a vertical thread from the center down, divide the distance into 3 parts and put a point - the location of the lower edge of the spout. Divide the remaining distance down again by 3 and put a point - the place of the middle of the lips.

We remove the threads and draw the tonsils of the eyes, nose and lips with a simple pencil. We draw the eyes immediately, taking into account the moving upper eyelid.

We draw the line of the upper eyelid, the iris and pupils, outline the eyebrows. Let's make them touching-touching :)

IMPORTANT! To control the symmetry of facial features, we simply turn our head over from time to time, or look at it in the mirror. Iris NEVER! do not draw in a full circle - it is always covered by the upper eyelid - to a greater or lesser extent.

We continue toning with a thinner brush: we tint the eyes, eyebrows, corners of the eyes, the nose and slightly the bridge of the nose, highlight the corners of the lips and emphasize the notch of the chin under the lower lip. With a wide brush, blend the tint with light movements for smooth transitions. More bright color shade the lips, the edges of the ears and the auricle.

Let's paint :)

We paint over the whites of the eyes with white paint, without affecting the iris, put a slight highlight on the nose. Slightly highlight the movable upper eyelid. Then paint over the iris with the chosen color. We take some white paint and lightly inject it into the lower edge of the iris, muting it to the upper borders.

For the contours, mix black and brown paint, draw the pupil and outline the iris.

We draw eyes with the same double color, draw eyebrows not with a solid line, but with strokes. Outline the upper eyelid. We draw the corners of the lips with two commas, put the points of the nostrils, slightly outline the bend and lines of the lips, without drawing these lines to the very corners.

We draw eyelashes. For eyelashes, a thin brush bought at a nail art supply store is great. With the same double color we draw an angel over upper lip seal of an angel))) We put white paint on the eyes, pink on the lips.

We blush the cheeks of the angel with pink pastel, we do it closer to the eyes. Who is not sorry - we use real blush :) I'm not sorry, but I just don't have them - I live in Siberia, I'm already ruddy from frost :) You can add a pink tint to the forehead, ears, nose and chin - just a little bit.

IMPORTANT! Eyelashes should not be drawn in straight lines, but slightly curved, at the outer edge to the temples, at the inner edge to the middle of the forehead. Glare on the eyes should be the same.

Dotted with a thin brush, draw freckles with brown paint.

If you need or really want to, we work on the tinting again :)

Now we tint the angel's body - on the sides of the neck and approximately along the neckline of the dress.

We sew the legs - we use a button fastening, reinforced threads, or a thread in several additions, we hide the knots behind one of the legs.

Here's what should happen.

We begin to create a dress. For it, we need a piece of fabric measuring 50 cm by 13 cm. The lower long edge of the mohrim dress, pulling out the strings along the entire length. We sew the cut into a ring along the short edge.

We now bend the upper edge by 3-5 mm and sew it from the connecting seam in this way: at the beginning of the seam we make a backtack, we sew with the maximum step, we finish before reaching the beginning of the seam and we don’t make the backtack, we leave the threads at the end of the seam long, and cut off at the beginning. Now we take one thread and begin to pull the dress on it, creating folds. We pull together carefully, distributing the fabric evenly until the dress fits the angel.

We try on the preparation of the dress and begin to decorate it. By this time, the space had warmed up, and suddenly there were wonderful metallic red threads. With them I sewed a snowflake and sequins. We fix the dress at the required level and begin to sew it directly to the body in a circle with threads to match the fabric. Trying on a beautiful New Year's braid.

We sew on a bell, carefully glue the braid with glue gun, grabbing the edge of the dress, we fix the ends on the back. We sew the handles through, as with a button fastening, only instead of buttons we sew sequins.

What is the most important thing for an angel? Wings! Let's make them gold :)

From felt cut out a blank for the wings. We cut the material for the wings into strips of 2 cm by 6 cm, sharpen from one edge. We glue the feathers to the base with a glue gun, row by row, forming wings. Do not glue on the back central part- this is a place for gluing the wings to the chrysalis.

We cut the top edge along the felt line and the wings for the angel are ready.

We sew the head with a simple overlay on the neck. First, we outline the location of the head, and then we sew it, capturing the neck only at the top.

We use white threads for hair, lay them out on a sheet of office paper, this length of hair and the length of the tress will be enough for the angel. We sew the hair in the center with two lines with a distance of 5 mm between them. Duplicate each line for the strength of the wefts. We cut between the lines, tear off the paper and voila - wefts are ready.

We draw a line of hair growth with a pencil: above the forehead, behind the ears, and on the back of the head, overlapping the place where the head is attached to the neck with a line. And we sew tresses along this line, leaving a bald crown. We start with the back of the head. We sew the second tress just above the intended line - we will get 2 rows of tress.

Winter holidays are distinguished by their special atmosphere of warmth and comfort. Many people believe that Christmas and New Year Holidays are exclusively family holidays and you need to meet them in a narrow circle. But this does not mean that you do not need to take care of gifts for friends, colleagues and distant relatives. Do-it-yourself dolls for the New Year are a great option for such presents.

Textile dolls angels as a gift

Such DIY toys can be made in perfect different techniques. The most popular types of angels:

  • Protect.
  • Dolls from kapron.
  • Tildes.
  • Simple textile dolls.

Christmas Doll Keeper

Do not neglect the protective dolls. Even if you do not believe in the protective power of such a thing, this does not mean that the chrysalis is completely useless. This folk view creativity, which has safely survived to this day, although it has undergone some changes.

Such an angel cannot be made as a simple souvenir, especially not for close people, but for distant friends and people who are by and large not close to you. The thing is that when you create a small amulet doll, you charge it with your energy, put in a sincere desire to protect and protect it from evil. Therefore, such amulets are usually exchanged with children, parents, loved ones and close people.

A common distinguishing feature of all protective dolls is that they do not have facial features. It is believed that someone unkind can move into the doll through the painted eyes. Decorating figurines is also not accepted - excessive pretentiousness and brightness attract attention, which is completely unnecessary. Several master classes on how to make different protective angels.

Thread angel

Such crafts-amulet V winter holidays can be hung on the tree. For work you will need:

  • Thick natural yarn in white, brown or beige.
  • A piece of cotton.

Sequencing. Divide the bundle of yarn into three unequal parts. Most of it will be required for the angel's body itself, arms and wings are made from smaller ones.

First step. Fold the larger bundle in half, put a ball of cotton wool into the fold. This is the head. Carefully distribute the threads so that the cotton wool is not visible, tie the bundle under the ball with a separate thread.

Second step. Under the neck thread, divide the yarn into front and back. Fold the front part over your head, put a smaller bunch of threads perpendicularly in the middle. Return the folded yarn back to its place.

Third step. Make several constrictions with threads, forming the arms and waist of the angel. Separately tie the third bunch of threads - first drag along the edges, then in the center. Pull the threads so that you get two rounded triangles with a constriction.

Fourth step. Tie the wings to the back of the figurine, tying the chest crosswise in front. From separate three threads, weave a braid-hoop and tie the doll on the head. The amulet is ready!

Charm from a handkerchief

The simplest options that even a child can master do not require the ability to sew or any other skills. You will need a square of white fabric, a ball of cotton, red and white threads.

Sequencing. Put a round piece of cotton wool in the center of the fabric square (any filler will do) and tightly twist the fabric around it. You get a ball, and under it a triangle of double fabric. Drag with a white thread and fix the fabric in this position.

Next, you need to straighten the fabric in both directions. The resulting two sharp tips are the wings. Now you need to cross-wind the chest and back of the figure so that the wings and shirt are fixed. Angel ready!

Motanka doll Angel

A do-it-yourself twisting doll, made according to all the rules, will be a real talisman that will protect you from the evil eye and bad wishes. Neither scissors nor needles can be used to make a motanka. All material must be natural - linen, cotton, calico, etc. It is proposed to tear the fabric with your hands. For work you will need:

  • White fabric.
  • Canvas.
  • The threads are white.
  • A piece of cotton.
  • Wool is yellow.
  • Ribbon for a belt.
  • Bell or bell.

First step. Twist a piece of fabric into an even roller. Fold it in half and wrap the upper part with a thread, retreating 2-3 cm from the edge of the fold. This is a blank for the head. Wrap the two lower ends with a thread, stepping back from the ends by a centimeter. These are legs. Make another roll of fabric and wrap it entirely with thread - these will be the angel's hands.

Second step. With the help of a piece of cotton, form a head - wind it on a previously determined place. Cover with a small square of fabric, twist it at the base of the head. Fasten with thread. Place a roller-handle under the ends of the fabric and continue to wind it with the same thread as the head.

Third step. Fold a piece of canvas with an accordion and drag it with a thread in the middle. Straighten the folds - these are the wings. Attach them to the back of the amulet.

Fourth step. With a strip of colored fabric, wrap the chest of the figurine crosswise so that it is closed in front and goes over the shoulders to the wings. From another piece of fabric form a skirt, wrap around the waist. Gird the doll with a ribbon, hiding the threads and joints of the fabric.

Fifth step. From yellow wool, make hair for an angel, fix it on the head with a hoop thread. The handles can be brought forward by wrapping a bell or bell around them. Motanka is ready.

Miracle from kapron

Nylon dolls self made they look amazing - cute, touching and very original figurines will leave few people indifferent. The most difficult thing in the whole process is to correctly form the face of the toy. A small master class will help you master this tricky science . For work you will need:

First step. For the head, you need to form a ball of synthetic winterizer and wrap it in nylon. Roll up a smaller ball for the nose and put it on the head. After that, pull the nylon slightly and tie it with a knot at the bottom, making a kind of neck.

Second step. Face tightening. With a needle and thread in small paired stitches: from top to bottom, from bottom to top. From the top to the right diagonally and back, and also to the left, forming the nostrils. By the same principle, a mouth with a chin, cheeks and eye sockets are formed.

Third step. light makeup- blush cheeks and lips, tint eye sockets with brown shadows and glue eyes. Hair can be made from artificial hair or glue the entire head with small white feathers. As an alternative, use wool to felt the desired shade, simply gluing it to the parting.

Fourth step. The body of the pupa should be proportional to the head. Cut off a piece of tights of the appropriate length and fill with padding polyester. Tie knots top and bottom. Sew the body to the head.

Fifth step. Feet and palms. The workflow is still the same. A lump of synthetic winterizer is inserted into a capron, with a needle and thread, tightenings are made according to the number of fingers. Utyazhki are best toned with brown shadows, emphasizing the relief of the fingers.

Cut two pieces of 10 cm from the rope, make a knot in the middle of each segment. These are legs. Sew the ropes to the body on one side, and glue the feet on the other.

Sixth step. Dress up an angel. To do this, make a hoodie dress from a piece of lace. Separately make two sleeves, at the ends of which glue the palms. Sew the sleeves to the body. Put a felt heart into your palms.

Seventh step. From flexible wire fold two rounded triangles. Wrap the wire frame with white tape, fix each turn with glue. The tape should connect opposite sides of the wire. Paste the resulting base with feathers. Angel ready!

Plain fabrics

To do beautiful doll do-it-yourself angel, patterns will not be required too complicated. You can draw them yourself. For work you will need:

  • Material in 3 different colors. For the body - beige, for the cap and hoodie - blue, for the wings - light color.
  • Lace ribbon for finishing.
  • Cardboard and pencil.
  • Sewing accessories and machine.
  • Filler.
  • Fabric paints and brushes.
  • Yarn or artificial hair.

First step. Pattern. The easiest option to perform, especially for those who do not really like or know how to sew, is a single pattern of the entire body. Exaggerated head, arms and legs. Too small details and sharp transitions should be avoided. Wings and a triangle-cap are drawn separately. It should correspond to the size of the doll's head and be of such length that its tip rests on the angel's shoulder. The wings are a single unit with outlined rounded edges-feathers.

Second step. Transfer the pattern to the fabric, folded in half. Pin with pins, cut out, leaving a 1 cm seam allowance. Sew along the drawn line, leaving a 10 cm open stitch so that the material can be turned inside out.

Third step. Turn inside out, fill with filler . Sew up the left section.

Fourth step. With thin brushes draw the face of the doll. Sew or glue hair onto hot glue, leaving the back of the head free, there will be a cap.

Fifth step. While the paint dries, sew clothes. For the hoodie, you will need a rectangle of fabric that can be wrapped around the doll's body. Sew it into a pipe, leaving slots for the handles, put it on the workpiece. At the neck, gather the fabric into an assembly and fix it.

Sixth step. Wings. Fold the fabric for them with the right sides to each other, transfer the pattern to the other side. Stitch without leaving slits. Cut with allowances of 1 cm. Notch them so that there are no creases when turning out. Carefully cut one layer of fabric in the middle and turn it out through this cut. Fill with filler and sew a slot.

Seventh step. Sew the wings to the hoodie on the back of the angel. The triangular-shaped cap does not need to be filled, it needs to be sewn to the head of the figurine with a looped seam. The doll is ready!

Magic transformations

Often there is quite a suitable chrysalis at hand., which, before turning into an angel, lacks literally a few details, for example, wings and a hoodie, a halo. The halo is simply made from a piece of wire, which is twisted into a ring on the base. You can decorate such a halo with tinsel, feathers or wrap it with a thick yellow thread. With the change of dress is also quite simple - the hoodie is obtained from fabric stitched into a tube. But how to make angel wings for a doll if there are no feathers at hand? Pretty simple. This will require:

  • Flexible, but stable wire (like floral).
  • Small nylon mesh (or just nylon of the desired color).
  • Lining fabric, preferably with lurex.
  • Needle and thread to match the fabric.
  • Glue gun.
  • Scissors.

The first stage of work. Twist the frame of the wings from one piece of wire. The size and shape are arbitrary, but are usually two triangles with rounded, soft corners. Dimensions depend on the size of the doll itself, which needs to be turned into an angel.

Second phase. The frame needs to be compacted, this is done using a nylon stack. It must be pulled tightly onto the base, but the wire must not be deformed. Fasten with thread.

Third stage. Cut the lining fabric into strips. The width of the strip is the length of future feathers. The length of the strip should correspond to the section of the wing to which it will be glued. Cut each strip of fabric with a fringe, rounding the edges of the cut pieces. Get a ribbon with feathers.

Fourth stage. Sew or glue the fringe in layers so that the uncut strip of the fringe base is hidden under the previous layer of feathers.

Such a detail can easily turn almost any tilde doll into an angel!

Attention, only TODAY!

Christmas is just around the corner, which means it's time to sew some cute textile angels!

Mochi Angel Pattern by Nkale

The pattern must be saved to a computer and printed on a printer, A4 format. You can also simply open the image of the pattern on the monitor, select any size of the image using the ctrl + or ctrl- keys, attach the landscape sheet directly to the monitor and circle the translucent pattern with a pencil along the contour.

We sew the body of a textile angel Mochi

1. We cut out the details of the angel pattern and lay them out on a beige fabric for the body (observing the direction of the shared thread), draw around with a finely sharpened pencil or a light ballpoint pen: leave 7-10 mm allowances between the pattern details, do not cut it out and immediately sew it on the typewriter with the smallest line.

2. Next, turn the parts inside out (in the legs-handles we make cuts in the upper part with the sharp tips of the scissors for eversion and stuffing), fill them tightly with synthetic fluff.

3. We sew holes in the body, handles, legs with threads to match the fabric

4. We sew manually the fingers on the legs of an angel

5. We also sew fingers on the palms. First, we divide the palm in half with a seam, then we divide each resulting half in half again, we get fingers

6. All of our calf parts are ready to assemble:

7. It remains to sew the legs with buttons. Handles are not sewn yet

We sew a dress for an angel

8. We take a rectangle of fabric for the dress, approximately 28 × 40 cm; we form a dress: there are features here - be sure to lay tucks and cut off excess fabric - so that there are fewer gathers on the neck

9. We also sew sleeves from a rectangle of fabric measuring 12 × 12 cm; we sew first (as in the picture) so that the sleeve tapers from the bottom up - to the shoulder; then we sew tightly around the sleeves - look at the rounding at the top of the sleeves in the photo

10. Now you need to draw the eyes and mouth: immediately outline their location (with a sharpened watercolor pencil Brown- if you don’t like it, you can erase it with an ordinary soft white eraser), then tint it with acrylic paints with a thin brush.
We draw eyes and eyelashes in brown (or light brown), but not black, otherwise it will be too colorful.

Mouth - draw a soft pink color.

11. Now you can collect the toy further along with the dress. First of all, we sew the hands: we put the hands into the sleeves, and sew the sleeves together with the hands in turn (on the front on the body, not on the sides!) - on the pattern, the sewing places are specially marked with crosses.

We make wings

12. Fold the canvas in half, trace the pattern with a pencil or a light ballpoint pen (not gel!)

13. We sew along the contour with a small line of thread to match the canvas

14. Cut out the wings, retreating from the seam 4-5 mm, along the seam we lay the finishing line - a stroke (with a regular basting seam) with a contrasting thread - to match the dress; we also sew a suspension in the middle

15. The free edge (up to the decorative stitch) needs to be “tousled” with your hands or you can just use a needle

Create a hairstyle for the angel Mota

15. We sew hair from yarn to the chrysalis with a regular thread - along the parting (it’s better not to save on yarn, let the hairstyle be lush!)

16. "Nimbus" sew on the back of the head, under the hair

17. To distribute the hair evenly - sew on the hair ribbon-"hairatnik"

18. Using a button and thread, sew on the wings

Final works

19. Blush the cheeks on both sides with real blush or dry rubbed pastel

Protozoa do-it-yourself fabric angel created from a handkerchief or a piece of burlap, and is called a primitive. More complex figures are made using the soft toy technology from full-fledged patterns. Knowing the principles of sewing souvenir angels, you can fantasize with patterns, decorate products with beads, decorative thread and rhinestones.

Methods for making textile angels

A primitive angel is made on its own in a couple of minutes with a piece of fabric and filler material. Soft toys require more time, more painstaking work and special skills.

Primitive Angels

A budget option for a festive angel figurine is primitives. They got their name for the following reasons:

  • fabric waste is used
  • apply simple ways manufacturing
  • the shape of the dolls turns out to be primitive, only the general appearance of a recognizable character is outlined
  • billet- a square piece of 20 x 20 cm of textile (poplin, organza, tulle, linen, burlap, matting) for the body, 15 x 15 cm for the wings and knitting thread (best with lurex, acrylic)

  • edge decoration- 1 - 2 cm around the perimeter must be "swept" by stretching the longitudinal wefts of the textile

  • head- in the center of the square, cotton wool or synthetic winterizer rolled into a ball is placed (you can wrap it with thread), the textile is folded diagonally

  • neck- it is formed with a thread below the head, while the “face” needs to be straightened, folds can be made on the sides to more clearly outline the contours of the face

  • hands- the edge is bent inward by 2 - 3 cm, folded into an envelope, tied with a thread, as in the lower figure, the second brush is formed in a similar way

  • wings- a small square is folded diagonally, then into an "accordion", which is threaded to the angel's back with a long part of the accordion, as in the photo

The last operation is the most difficult, when attaching the wings to the body of the toy, it is necessary to assemble it into a bundle. Three turns obliquely enough for normal fixation, the thread passes through the left shoulder under right hand, then over the right shoulder and below the left arm.

Attention: The cross is obtained on the chest, the knot is tied on the back of the doll in the form of a loop for hanging the angel.

For the category of craftsmen who prefer sewing to knitting techniques, angels made of matting or burlap stuffed with soft material are more suitable. In this primitive, the "recognizability" of the character's appearance is achieved due to the shape of the blanks:

  • piriform body
  • round head
  • dainty little wings

This option can be attributed to soft pillows, toys, pendants and primitives at the same time. If necessary, angels are hung on a Christmas tree, in a car interior, on windows and in any other convenient place.

Stuffed Toys

Depending on the drawing skills, patterns for soft toys in the form of pretty angels can be made in several ways. The main task of the master is how to make the figures recognizable, it is solved by the following methods:

  • required attributes- the figurine can be completely shapeless, but if it has wings, a star and a halo, you can recognize an angel in it
  • movement simulation- by giving the body of the doll the shape of an arc and sharpening the edges of the workpiece, you can ensure the swiftness and airiness of the craft, evoking associations with an angel on a subconscious level
  • similarity of outlines- legs, torso, wings and arms are created from separate patterns, the figure is complemented by a star or halo, special symbols embroidered on the torso

By default, angels are miniature in size for easy placement on key rings, inside car interiors, on branches Christmas trees. Therefore, simple outlines of patterns for small stitches of a thread seam are preferable.

pendants

The easiest way is to sew a doll with "humanized" contours, in which it is easy to identify an angel by the wings on the back.

Master Class for the manufacture of a primitive-suspension is as follows:

  • cut– 2 “head” parts, 2 “body-dress” parts, 2 “wings” parts
  • suspension– a fabric loop is sewn to one part “head” from the inside
  • sewing- each part of the "head" is sewn to the "torso" element with a transverse purl seam, then the halves are attached to each other and turned inside out, at the bottom of the doll, leave a hole to fill the figure

  • padding- made with synthetic winterizer, foam rubber or cotton wool, the hole is sewn up with 1 - 2 stitches

12. Stuffing

  • hair- can be made from threads, cotton wool, other materials suitable for the texture, gluing them in the form of a hairstyle

13. Hair, face and wings

  • face– decorated with marker, paint or pencils
  • wings- toys are attached to the back
  • bow- pinned with a pin or sewn on with a thread, decorated with a rhinestone, a bead on the belly of the figurine

Using this technique, you can build up to two dozen toys for the Christmas tree with your own hands from the remaining textile flaps and scraps per day.

An alternative to the previous "fatties" are "floating" New Year's angels light flannel. Their recognizable shape became popular thanks to the author Silvia Sartorio:

  • the body is arched in the lower back
  • arms extended to the sides at an angle of about 45 degrees
  • the doll does not have a neck, but has a stylish hairstyle and beady eyes
  • wings of equal length with arms are decorated with embroidery or rhinestones

  • cutting and preparation of details- the torso is sewn separately with the head, legs, arms and wings
  • assembly- all elements are stuffed with soft material, sewn to each other, as in the bottom photo

15. Patterns

Following the indicated principles for the manufacture of soft toys, you can modify the shape and size of patterns, apply additional elements, and experiment with materials.

From a simple pattern

Do-it-yourself elegant Christmas angels are obtained from bright fabric according to a very simple pattern:

  • torso- a conical cap, the development of which can be made without special education
  • plug– is installed in the lower part of the cap so that the stuffing material does not fall out of it, the figurine has greater stability
  • wings- sewn from 2 parts of the same size in the shape of a heart

16. Step by step production

To assemble a funny figure with your own hands from fabric, you must follow the steps:

  • the tip of the textile cone is wrapped with a seam outward, grabbed to the body of the doll with a stitch of thread, these will be the lowered hands of an angel, into which you can “put” (sew on from below) a bell, a horseshoe, a bead, any other decorative trifle, as in the bottom photo
  • in the place of bending the doll is sewn on a “head” from large beads or a part sewn from textiles

The templates for this doll are given below, there are no problems with patterns and tailoring, even with minimal skills in working with a needle. A master class on making an original primitive angel is given in detail in the video:

Thus, there are a lot of options for making a textile angel for Christmas, Valentine's Day, New Year and other holidays. That allows you to choose the best option, taking into account specific conditions.

Thank you for your attention! Happy New Year, everyone!
