Children's crafts of a snowman made of thread will decorate any New Year's celebration. From a minimum of materials, it turns out simply unusually beautiful and original craft. To get started, take 5 balloons, PVA glue in a plastic package and a large needle. We pierce the bottle of glue with a needle and thread so that the thread with which you will subsequently wrap the balls is in the glue. We inflate Balloons: three for the torso and two small ones for the arms. We wrap each ball with threads like balls. Let the balls dry overnight. Then we pierce the balls inside our balls with a needle and take them out. We connect our balls with glue, the sides that will be adjacent to each other can be slightly flattened. From colored paper we make a snowman's nose, eyes and decorate with accessories. Our snowman is ready!

Craft a snowman from cotton wool

A cotton snowman craft can be made as a Christmas tree souvenir or a small gift. We take a piece of cotton wool and with soapy hands we roll two balls of different diameters out of it: for the head and torso. We give our balls to dry, and at this time we dilute PVA glue with water in the proportions: 1 part of water and 2 parts of glue. Glitter can be added to the glue. Lubricate our lumps with glue and let them dry. To make a carrot for the nose, you need to wrap cotton wool tightly around a toothpick, grease it with a thin layer of glue, remove it and paint it orange. We connect the torso and head with a toothpick, previously dipped in glue. We glue eyes to the snowman, insert our hands and decorate the resulting craft with accessories.

In order to make a snowman craft as tall as a preschool child, you need to stock up on free time, a modicum of patience and invite a cheerful little helper. Prepare 300 identically shaped plastic cups and a stapler with a full pack of #10 staples in advance. When it's too cold outside to make snowmen out of snow, it's time to stay at home to mold, sew or cut them out of improvised and even junk materials. Snowman crafts can be used to decorate a house, a Christmas tree or a table for the New Year, to give away to loved ones, to bring to school / kindergarten for an exhibition, or simply to use for games. Master class 1. Snowman from a sock

Looking at these Stuffed Toys, it seems that they were sewn by skilled needlewomen, but in fact, every child can make the same snowman with his own hands in just 15 minutes from ... a sock.

Materials:

1. White sock;
2. Filler - any small grain or synthetic winterizer / cotton wool;
3. Dense threads or thin rope;
4. Decoration materials:

• For eyes and nose: beads or pins with colored heads. You can also simply draw them with felt-tip pens or acrylic paints;
• Cloth: buttons;
• Scarf: a piece of colored matter (can be cut from a colored sock) or ribbon;

1. Glue and thread with a needle to sew on buttons and a hat;
2. Scissors.

Step 1. Cut the sock into two pieces as shown in the photo. The lower part of the sock (it should be without a heel) is the future hat, and the upper part is the snowman's body.

Step 2. Take the top of the sock and turn it inside out, then tightly tie one end of the sock (preferably the heel part) with a thread and turn our workpiece right side out again. You will get something like a bag.

Step 3. Fill the resulting bag with filler, for example, rice, as in our master class. For convenience, you can pull the sock over a roll of tape (see photo).

Shape the snowman's body, then tie off the top with string and cut off the ends.

Step 4. Now tie the neck with a thread. Hooray! The snowman is almost ready, it remains only to decorate it.

Step 5. First, dress up the figurine with a scarf and at the same time hide the thread around the neck. The scarf can be cut from any soft tissue, for example, from a colored sock or fleece. If the selected fabric does not crumble much, fringe can be cut at the ends of the scarf.

Make a snowman hat from the rest of the sock.

Glue the buttons in the middle. You can sew them on if you wish.

Step 6 Finally, make the eyes and nose of your snowman. To do this, you can simply prick pins, draw them with felt-tip pens, cut them out of felt or sew on beads.

If you wish, you can make a whole family of snowmen using different materials and socks in different sizes and colors.

Master class 2. Snowman made of cotton wool and cardboard

Toddlers from one year old will surely like the idea of ​​​​crafting a snowman from cotton wool and cardboard. Adults need very little help. The famous Olaf was made in this project, but you can make the most ordinary snowman.

Materials:

• Cardboard;
• Scissors;
• Pencil;
• PVA glue;
• Cotton wool in balls (or just cotton wool);
• White paper, black and orange marker;
• Small twigs (collect them for a walk, wash and wipe dry).

Instruction:

Step 1. First you need to draw on the cardboard the silhouette of a snowman, consisting of three balls. If you want to make Olaf, then draw him from a picture found on the Internet. You can tell the child that Olaf's body consists of a large and a small ball, legs - of two small balls, and the head looks like an elongated rhombus.

Step 2. Cut out the drawn figure.

Step 3. Pour PVA glue onto a piece of cardboard or a saucer, pour cotton balls or plain cotton wool in front of the child. Next, you need to glue the entire figure with cotton wool according to the “dip-glue” scheme (you can say that). If you use ordinary cotton wool in a roll, then first you need to tear off a piece from it, then roll it up like a bun and only then glue it.

Step 4. Glue branch handles on the back of the cardboard. Do not forget to glue three branches on the head as well.

Step 5. Now freehand draw and cut out three small balls, paint them black and glue them on the craft. Then draw, cut and glue the eyebrows, eyes, mouth and carrot nose. Olaf is ready! You can glue a loop to it and hang it on a door or Christmas tree.

By the way, if you have a lot of disposable plates, you can glue them together and use as a base for crafts.

Master class 3. Thread snowman

The next craft idea is a snowman made of thread, which a child can make with his own hands with a little adult participation.

Materials:

1. Balloons (2 pcs);
2. A skein of white thick thread (you can take latex or waxed thread, but it’s better to try to find just cotton thread);
3. PVA glue;
4. Hot glue gun;
5. Container for glue;
6. Paints;
7. Scissors;
8. Scotch;
9. Decoration materials:

• Hands: branches;
• Eyes and mouth: black cardboard or black buttons;
• Nose: orange paper/cardboard or white paper and orange paint;
• Cloth: buttons;
• Scarf: a piece of colored matter or tape;
• Hat-cylinder (optional): cardboard, printer and tape.

Step-by-step instructions on how to make a snowman from threads with your own hands:

Step 1. Inflate balloons: one larger (torso), the other smaller (head).

Step 2. Connect the balls with adhesive tape.

Step 3 Lay newspaper on the table to protect it from glue. Pour glue into a saucer, dip most of the thread into it, then start wrapping the balls randomly, starting from the neck. Remember that the thread should always be abundantly covered with glue. Don't try to wrap the snowman too tightly.

Step 4. When the whole figure is covered with threads, leave the glue to dry overnight or overnight.

Step 5. Now that the glue is completely dry, pierce the balls with a needle and carefully pull them out. If at the same time you are afraid to expand the hole between the threads, pull out the balls under the neck, because it will still be tied with a scarf.

Step 6. Cut out a small circle at the bottom of the figure. This is necessary so that the snowman can stand.

Step 7. Cut the branches to the desired length and glue them with a hot glue gun.

Step 7. If you want your snowman craft to have a cylinder, print the template below on cardboard, cut out all the details and glue. Then the cylinder can be decorated with ribbon.

Step 8. Now the matter remains small. Tie a scarf on the snowman, glue a couple of buttons. Then glue on the eyes and smile cut out of black cardboard on the face. Finally, roll the orange paper into a cone and glue under the eyes. Voila, the "snowy" cutie is ready for the holidays!

Master class 4. Big snowman from plastic cups

Toilet paper or paper towel rolls are great blanks for Christmas snowman crafts. Wrap the sleeve in white paper or paint in White color, then draw eyes and buttons on the stomach with a felt-tip pen, glue the nose and scarf cut out of colored paper.

Master class 6. Christmas decorations from light bulbs

Another idea for crafting snowmen from junk materials is Christmas decorations from incandescent light bulbs. True, you need to work with them as carefully as possible and only with the help of an adult. But do-it-yourself New Year's snowmen will be able to decorate the Christmas tree more than once.

• light bulbs;
• Rope, ribbon, thread or thin wire (for a loop);
• Acrylic paints and a brush or PVA glue and white / silver sparkles;

• Branches (if desired).

Instruction:

Step 1. Paint the bulb with 2-3 layers of white paint or cover the bulb with PVA glue and sprinkle generously with glitter as shown in the photo below.

Step 2. Wrap the base with a rope / wire, make a loop.

Step 3. Glue the twig handles with hot glue.

Step 4 Paint the eyes and mouth with black paint. Draw the nose in orange or glue a carrot made of felt, fabric or paper in its place.

Step 5. The metal base of the light bulb can be painted black as if it were a hat, left unpainted to look like a bucket, or put on a hat.

Step 6. Cut a scarf out of a piece of fabric, tie it and, if necessary, fix it with glue. On the stomach, draw or glue a couple of buttons.

Master class 7. Springy paper snowman

And finally, we suggest making a snowman simply from colored paper. If you make a lot of these crafts and hang them on a ribbon, then you will get a beautiful New Year's garland.

Materials:

• Two sheets of white paper (regular office paper will work, although thicker paper will work best).
• Paper of other colors (for the nose, scarf and outfit).
• Black marker.
• Glue, scissors.
• Optionally - a paper mold for a cupcake, sparkles, buttons.

Step 1. Cut the paper into strips in two lengths, for example, cut one sheet of paper across and the other along the length.

Step 2. Now collect the strips into a ball, fixing it with glue.

Step 3. Draw or glue all the details: eyes, nose, buttons. Cut out a long strip of colored paper and make a scarf. You can also use a paper cupcake pan as a hat.

Step 4 If you want the snowman to be able to stand, then glue a coin or a small stone to its bottom.
