Christmas crafts from egg packaging. DIY roses from egg cells

Every housewife strives for perfect cleanliness and order in the house, so all women try to get rid of excess rubbish as quickly as possible. But there is no need to be so categorical, for example, plastic food packaging is worth saving.
Today we will share with you the secret of creating a charming little thing from plastic containers. Children will be delighted with this idea, by the way, they can be involved in joint production.

YOU WILL NEED
plastic box
scissors
hole puncher
colored permanent markers
PROGRESS
Cut out the bottom of the package. All you need is the flat part of the plastic container.

Print any outline picture. You can use coloring for this purpose.

Redraw the picture on plastic with permanent markers. Keep in mind that the size of the figure will eventually decrease by about 70%. Therefore, initially the drawing should be large.

Using a hole punch, make a small hole above the pattern and cut out a plastic figure along the contour.

After preheating the oven to 165 degrees, place the plastic figures on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the figurines for exactly 3 minutes.

After baking, each of the figures will become smooth and more dense. Now they can be attached as a decoration to the bracelet.

These figurines can also be used as New Year's toys to the tree! If you liked this idea for needlework, share the article with your friends.
My name is Irina, I live in Germany - in a country where absolutely everything is sold in plastic packaging, which migrates in tons from stores to trash cans. I've been doing it for a long time different types needlework and constantly face the issue of optimal storage of a bunch of little things that accumulate all the time and require new boxes, caskets, etc. In this master class, I want to show several ways to create convenient storage containers from various plastic packaging. The advantage of this kind of containers is that they are easily made at home, they can be made in any size and in any quantity, the transparency of the plastic allows you to quickly find the right thing, the material for containers can be found in every home, such containers for small items can also be used on cottage, garage, etc…
So, for starters, let's make the simplest mini-container from a plastic bottle:

We heat the tip of the knife to make it easier to start cutting the bottle.

We cut the bottle into two parts with a knife. If the bottle has no edges, in order to avoid large errors when cutting, glue the adhesive tape at the desired height and cut the bottle exactly along the edge of the adhesive tape.

We will melt the edges of the bottle a little to avoid cuts to the hands during its further processing. The bottle should be kept at a distance of 0.5-1 cm from the flame, turning evenly. Rough edges after heat treatment will hide crocheting.

We heat up the steel knitting needle and make holes along the edge of the bottle, which will have to fit the size of the hook with which we will tie the edges of the bottle.

When piercing plastic with a hot needle, sharp and dark marks of plastic often remain on the surface. ... They can be removed different ways, I use a regular grater for cleaning the feet (the emery is too sharp - it damages the surface of the plastic, it is not very convenient to use a knife)

Now we start tying the edge with a crochet with a single crochet.

We thread the end of the thread and glue it inside the container.

Then we thread a thick thread into a gypsy needle and sew the entire row with colored thread, without missing a single hole.

We tuck the end of the thread and glue it again.

If desired, our small container can be decorated. The easiest way to decorate is double-sided tape, ribbon and rhinestones. You can also use winding threads on double-sided tape.

We cut the tape of the required length and glue it on double-sided tape. Cut off excess tape.

We make a bow at the junction, you can stick a strass and the mini-container is ready!

We make different containers of the required height and glue them with a gun into a larger and denser plastic package (in the photo, the package in which we sell food products)

We apply hot glue to the bottom and quickly glue the container to the package (hold it for a while to grab it properly)

We stick double-sided tape on our box, any tape or make a winding with threads, decorate with little things and our first little box for little things is ready! I made this box for a dacha to store various little things that you are always looking for in different drawers: pencils, small tools, keys, etc.

If we take our containers out plastic bottles we will make a high harness, and we will thread the lace, then we will get pencil cases that can be both placed and hung. They take up little space and are easy to see.

Another option for making boxes for storing small items: in it I used dense plastic cups from Danone yogurt.

The principle of making the box is the same, if the height of the box allows, you can make two tiers of cups, using cardboard (or thick plastic) for the bottom of the second tier, on which I glued the plastic bottom from the package with hot glue.

If desired, boxes for small items can be made with lids. For these purposes, I took old plastic folders, cut them to the size of the box and, having made holes with a hole punch or a hot knitting needle, sewed them together with the edge of the plastic box. Since I have a two-tiered plastic box in the photo, for convenience, I made a handle from the scraps of the folder, which I also glued with hot glue to the bottom of the second tier.

Finishing elements are glued with hot glue.

From large plastic bottles you can make excellent containers for storing small toys, parts from the designer, etc. for the children's room and kitchen. Decorating such containers can become a joint creativity for a parent and a child. The principle of creating such a large container is exactly the same as shown above.

From the remaining upper parts of plastic bottles, we can make a lot of exotic flowers and decorate our balcony or summer cottage with them. But that's a topic for another tutorial!

Composition with flowers from egg cells

Cut out blanks for flowers and shells from egg cells.
For daisies we make two large blanks, for marigolds one smaller one. In flowers, we round the corners of the petals.
We paint finished parts acrylic paints or simple gouache. We paint the blank-shell with white paint.
Cut out round hearts, paint yellow and glue to the flowers.

We twist the nest from sesal; if there is no sesal, then the nest can be twisted from threads.

We sew a chicken from fleece: cut out two circles 8 cm and 5 cm, weave them into balls, stuff them with padding polyester and sew them together. The eyes and mouth are beads.

We cut out small flowers and leaves from colored thick paper.
Leaves can be wrinkled by soaking the paper in water, wrinkling, and then straightening, but not smoothing, giving them the desired shape and drying.

For the base, we take an unnecessary CD-ROM, stick a circle of burlap on it.
All the finished parts - flowers, leaves, a sesal nest, a cell cut out under the "shell" from an egg - are laid out on the base and glued.
We plant the chicken in half the shell.
On the petals, you can stick half-beads "dew drops" and a ladybug.

Paper trays for eggs only at first glance may seem nondescript and useless.

Do not rush to throw them away - use our tips for creating interesting crafts.

You can craft with your children - it’s not a pity to throw away the tray, even if nothing works out. And if you buy chicken eggs regularly, then you can experiment with trays and create every week!

What can be done from egg trays

Consider a few original ideas for crafts from egg trays. Even a child can handle them.

Garland with charming roses

To create this craft you need:

  • One or more egg trays.
  • Glue gun.
  • New Year's garland.

Subsequence.

  1. We tear the tray with our hands into separate segments according to the cells in which the eggs were. It takes two cells to create one flower.
  2. We divide the resulting cups into four petals (more can be done). To do this, tear the cup, but not completely. It should look like a flower. We also cut off the petals a little at an angle to imitate real ones.
  3. The box can be pre-painted in any color you like.
  4. To give a natural shape to the petals, lightly moisten the edges. To do this, dip a brush with soft bristles in water and walk along the edge of the petals. It is important not to overdo it with liquid, otherwise the paper will go limp and lose its shape.
  5. Fingers push through the relief of the petal from the inside. On the outside, a groove is formed.
  6. We will fix the flowers glue gun. On the flower, between the two petals, we tear the paper to the very base of the flower. We pass a garland through the slot and clamp the paper back. Similarly, we tear the next flower and plant it on the previous one. The garland will pass through two flowers already.
  7. The garland bulb is already securely fixed, but we will additionally use glue. We put it on paper in the place where the garland passes, and hold it with our fingers for a few seconds. In order for the garland to be more airy, it is better to leave two or three light bulbs between the flowers.
  8. When all the flowers have taken their place on the garland, decorate it with ribbons. You can use any beautiful fabric. We tie it in a knot or a bow - as you like.

VIDEO INSTRUCTION Some Helpful Tips

  • Such roses can be used to decorate a photo frame. It is better to paint roses to match the color of the photo frame or, conversely, give a contrasting shade and fix it with glue.
  • Roses are suitable as a decoration for napkin rings or cards for seating guests at the festive table.

Funny cardboard fish

Durable cardboard from an egg tray is useful for creating an unusual and very similar to a real fish.

For work you will need:

  • egg trays,
  • glue gun or glue crystal
  • scissors,
  • pen,
  • two peas of black pepper.

Subsequence.

  1. Cut off one cell from the tray with scissors. Then we need to round the corners. To do this, draw a line with a pen along which we cut off the excess with scissors.
  2. We prepare 11-13 cells in this way.
  3. We glue the cells, inserting one into the other. You should get a body with scales.
  4. We crush one cell in half to get a tail. We make incisions on the tail with scissors.
  5. From one cell we make the tail part. To do this, draw a line again with a pen and cut off the sharp ends of the cell along it, as in step 1.
  6. Glue the tail into the body. Glue the last row of scales to the tail.
  7. Let's use one more cell. Draw a dorsal fin on it and cut it out. We also need side fins. If you find it difficult to draw, use a picture of a fish - copy the fins from it.
  8. Glue the fins and tail. We glue the eyes - peppercorns, draw a mouth with a pen.

VIDEO DESCRIPTION

Original photo frames

To create a craft you need:

  • egg trays,
  • cardboard,
  • photograph or picture,
  • pen,
  • scissors,
  • glue gun.

Subsequence.

  1. We prepare the basis - for this we take cardboard rectangular shape. We paste a photo or image on it. There should be room around the edges - at least a couple of centimeters on each side.
  2. We cut the tray in the center of one of the rows with cells. Then we need to cut off a convex section of paper that separates the eggs from each other. To do this, we draw a line along it from the outside with a pen, depicting a flower with petals. Cut off this piece along the line. We get a small paper flower.
  3. We cut off a fragment of the tray with two cells, cut off the sharp corners. We cut the cells together. Inside one of them we draw a flower with four petals. The center of the flower should be at the very bottom. Let's cut it out. We get a flower a little larger than in step 2.
  4. Glue the smaller flower into the larger one.
  5. Inside another cell, draw a circle, and in it lines from the edge of the circle to the center. We cut in a circle and make cuts along the lines, but not reaching the base. Paste the fragment inside little flower.
  6. Draw petals on paper and cut them out. We cut a little along the edges so that it looks like a real leaf.
  7. We glue the resulting flower onto cardboard with a photograph. We attach leaves nearby. You can glue them along the upper and lower borders of the frame, and place the flowers only in the corners.

You can also make several flowers different size and place them close to each other in one corner of the frame. Another option is more flowers, but fewer leaves.

Making papier-mâché from egg trays: step by step instructions

Egg trays are the ideal material for a papier-mâché mix. The papier-mâché technique is very much in demand, not only as a way to create beautiful crafts, interior items, but also as one of the types of recycling of obsolete newspapers and egg cartons. This skill is now very common, used in educational institutions including kindergartens. The created products are durable, smooth and resistant to weather conditions, so they can be placed in rooms, left on the street, as an element of decor in the courtyard of a private house or garden.

The technique involves the use of two methods - pasting a certain base with newspaper pieces or modeling from a special mass. In this case, egg trays are often used. Having collected them, you can make a fairly large sculpture for winter or summer garden. And all you need is egg trays, water, glue.

Components so affordable in everyday life will help to make stylish decor elements.

PVA is the most common option. Its advantages include ease of use and the ability to form a waterproof film on the surface of the craft. This allows you not to use varnish to cover the surface in the future and expose the products to the street without fear that they may be deformed.

Craftsmen often use wallpaper glue.

But for papier-mâché, it should be slightly diluted with water. Crafts made using such an adhesive will not be "afraid" of mold and fungus.

If it is not possible to purchase glue in a store, you can cook a well-known and affordable paste at home.

With the help of cheap components, especially egg trays, which are almost always thrown away, you can make any gizmos, decorate the living room, nursery, kitchen with them. Often, it is with the help of this technique that craftsmen create beautiful sets for decorating the kitchen, desk lamp in the form of fairy-tale heroes, or Egyptian cats for living room decor.

Papier-mache technique will help to improve your interior

A feature of the technique and the main key to success is the accuracy of the modeling. One of the important factors is to let each piece of the craft dry well. In this case, it will not fall apart and will not change over time.

Papier-mache master class: flowers

Using glue and egg trays, you can make beautiful flowers.

For this you will need:

  • 5 egg trays;
  • Water;
  • Scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • White acrylic or gouache;
  • Thermal gun;
  • Thick wire (will act as a stem for a flower);
  • Paints, brushes.
  • Colorless nail polish.

Hard work will delight you with flowers in your vase

Depending on how many colors you plan to make, you will need a certain number of pieces of wire. There can be 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 - as many as you like. By the way - for flowers you can do the papier-mâché technique beautiful vase.

The adhesive composition is pre-prepared: egg trays are soaked in warm water, after swelling, the water is drained and PVA or paste is added. The composition should have the consistency of not liquid, but not thick sour cream.

First of all, you need to stick the composition on the wire. Moreover, if you plan to make a rose, you immediately need to blind the stem with thorns. Leave until completely dry.

Flowers and leaves are made using the sculpting technique. They can be of different sizes, curved shapes or have even contours. To understand how to mold them, it is enough to remember how plasticine crafts are molded. The technique is identical.

Accurate execution and observance of the instructions lead to an amazing result.

All parts of the flowers are covered with white. It is better to give preference to gouache or acrylic coatings. Any paint is then easily applied to them. After drying, the parts are painted in the appropriate colors: green - stem, red, orange, yellow - flowers, depending on which type of flowers is chosen.

The buds are attached to the stems with hot glue. At the end, the surfaces are torn with a colorless nail base. You can put butterflies on flowers ladybugs.

The hedgehog is based on an ordinary light bulb, because it resembles a hedgehog in structure. But, it is possible to make an animal by sculpting from a mass of papier-mâché (egg trays, water, glue).

If the method of using the base is chosen, then the light bulb is pre-lubricated with oil so that it is not difficult to remove it later. Things will go faster if two light bulbs are at hand. The composition is applied to half the base, and immediately you need to form the muzzle of the animal and spines. After drying, the halves of the future crafts are removed, glued together with the “Moment”. Legs are made from adhesive.

Papier mache will help decorate and transform your garden

The craft is covered with acrylic and painted in the appropriate color. Eyes, nose are drawn with a marker.

Dwarf. Thanks to the papier-mâché technique, the masters make the most interesting compositions. And in the event that artistic talent is present, then there is an opportunity to create large sculptures for the garden, for example, a gnome. Of course, it will take much more time to make, because street gnomes are quite voluminous sculptures. And here it is important that every detail dries well for the strength and durability of the structure.

You will need:

  1. 5 liter empty plastic container (torso);
  2. Balloon or ball (head);
  3. 30-40 egg trays;
  4. Water;
  5. PVA glue or paste (about 1.5 l);
  6. Paints and brushes;
  7. White enamel;
  8. The coating varnish is colorless.

Egg trays and your imagination will be a good tool for perfecting the decor.

A plastic container and a ball are covered with a mass of papier-mâché. After drying, the bases are removed, and the cut halves of the torso and head are glued together. A mass of papier-mâché are interconnected. The face and hands are formed from the adhesive composition. After a while - the rest of the parts - a headdress, fingers, legs. After drying - cheeks, nose, eyes, beard. There is nothing complicated about this, the most important thing is that the material must dry well, so there will be a lot of it, and if this rule is violated, the sculpture will “float”. You can make a gnome for the garden in different poses - he can sit, stand or look out, as fantasy will tell.

After creating a rough sculpture and drying it, cover with white enamel, decorate with paints, apply varnish on top.

Mass for papier-mâché from egg trays

The recipe for preparing the mass is quite simple. To obtain quality material with your own hands, it is advisable to observe the ratio of 13-14 egg cells and 14 liters of water. Cells from under the eggs are best crushed before being placed in warm water. In this state, the mass for papier-mâché should be at least 10 hours. Ideally - 17-18. After the time has elapsed, the composition is ground by hand until completely crushed. Water is drained through a fine sieve or gauze. The paper is again placed in a container and glue is added in such an amount that a homogeneous mass is obtained, but not liquid. Masters advise mixing the mixture with a mixer.

Materials:
- egg trays;
- brush;
- dye;
- teip tape;
- glue;
- wire.

Master class, making flowers from egg trays

First of all, it is necessary to divide the tray into separate sections and give them the shape of petals. By forming petals of different heights, you can make several blanks for a flower.

After that, you can put blanks one into another. In order for the petals to fit snugly in the center, one blank must be cut. Can cut additional petals and paste them in the center.

The flower is ready! If you want to decorate a burlap wreath, you can leave the flowers unpainted or spray-paint them.

If you plan to make a bouquet of cardboard flowers, then it is better to color the blanks before gluing the flower.

There are other methods for carving flowers from egg trays. As in the previous case, you need to cut the box into sections-sections in which the eggs were previously stored.

After that, 4 cuts are made on each section, the part is slightly straightened, and after that 4 more cuts are made again. These are future petals, each of which must be given round shape. When the workpiece is ready, you can start painting acrylic paints or gouache. Make stamens out of cardboard and paint them in yellow. Put flowers and stamens on the wire and fix.

It is noteworthy that cardboard egg trays will make a beautiful photo frame that you can give to your loved one or girlfriend. Flowers are cut out according to any of the patterns and glued onto thick cardboard or chipboard.

You can decorate to your taste and create real masterpieces. Modern needlewomen could even make flower lanterns from egg boxes.

You can place them not only at home, but also on the street, having previously processed by special means protecting from external influences. An example of such a sculpture is shown in Fig.1.

As such a protective agent, oil, tempera or alkyd paint is used. Gouache and watercolor are not recommended for use due to the fact that these types of paints are erased and dirty. But if you add a little PVA glue to these paints, then this is acceptable. For greater durability, it is desirable to cover the product with a colorless acrylic or parquet varnish in two or three layers. It is also recommended to prime and sand the product with fine sandpaper before painting.
