How to make New Year's origami with your own hands?

The art of folding paper figures without glue and scissors has its roots in ancient China, where paper was invented. Initially, the figurines were used in religious ceremonies, and only representatives of the upper classes owned the folding technique. In the sixties of the last century, origami began to spread around the world, and today it has become a real international art. So why not do this creativity and make your own hands New Year's origami for the holiday?

paper stars

There are many schemes by which you can collect stars with a different number of rays, both to create a garland and as independent toys. The basis for any craft (including New Year's origami) is usually a paper square. To make a star, you first need to fold it in half (at the corners, not the sides). Get a triangle. The action must be repeated. Repetition is needed to outline the middle line. Parts of the triangle are folded to the last (from the corner to the center). Then you need to bend the paper as in the figure (steps 5-6). It is necessary to do several repetitions, and then all that remains is to turn the upper triangle to the side to make an origami star.

Modular stars

You can make modular New Year's origami paper. Such crafts are more difficult, but look more effective. The principle of modular origami is that first separate identical parts are folded in the right amount, and then connected to each other. So from the same elements, completely different figures are obtained. How to make Christmas origami? You need to bend both sides of the square towards the center to mark the fold line, and then fold both parts towards the center. The lower small triangle also needs to be bent up. Then turn the figure over and bend the bottom corners to the center (as in the picture). Fold the corners with an accordion. The modular element is ready. Now you need to add at least three more such figures, connect them with “accordions” to each other to make a star.

Christmas tree for decoration

New Year's origami toys can look very stylish and can even be used to decorate the office. Modular Christmas trees will create a New Year's mood in any atmosphere. You can make them from colored or white paper, but crafts made from kraft paper or wrapping paper look much more beautiful.

The base is a square of any size (the size of the figure will depend on the size of the square). Fold the square along two diagonals and iron well to outline the fold lines. Now you need to bend the shape along to get a rectangle. Then, along the last fold line, you need to fold the triangle. The so-called triangle-flapper will turn out. The right and left edges must be bent to the center, combined and smoothed. The part must be turned over and the edges of the triangle must be aligned in the center line. We got fold lines along which it will be convenient to fold the figure further.

Each resulting fold must be straightened. The result is a quadrilateral, which must be folded along the midline. So gradually quadrangles and triangles alternate. The folds can be gently pressed with scissors so that the New Year's origami figure fits well. In the resulting figure, you need to bend the corners, which are then tucked inside the Christmas tree.

Now it remains only to use scissors to make horizontal cuts along the sides of the Christmas tree. Then the corners are bent to the side (towards the center line). Such New Year's origami craft will become a stylish desktop decoration.

The video will help you get it right.

simple paper snowman

With very young children, you can make a very simple origami snowman with your own hands. New Year's craft will become good decoration on the Christmas tree, can be used as a decorative element for gift wrapping or an application element. The big difficulty in creating such a figure is not even the snowman himself, but his scarf. You will need a sheet of white paper, a sheet of green or any other colored paper, red and black felt-tip pens (to draw button eyes, a carrot and a bucket on your head).

Folding technique

To make a snowman, you need to take a square piece of paper and fold it in half to make a rectangle. Turn any three corners of the rectangle back. Now you need to take a sheet of colored paper and bend it in half diagonally to mark the fold line. Expand the square and bend in half, and not along the middle line (so that a thin white stripe remains at the top of the resulting triangle). It is necessary to bend the triangle from bottom to top alternately in different directions. You get one strip - a scarf.

The part must be placed under the snowman figure so that a little less than one third of the craft remains on top (there should be an acute angle on top, not bent), and bend. The final touch is to draw beady eyes with a black marker, a carrot and a bucket (draw an acute angle).

paper santa claus costume

To make a cute Santa from two squares of red colored paper, you only need material and a few free minutes. Put the first square with the colored side up, bend the small stripes from above and below towards you, turn the figure over. On the other hand, mark the center line of the resulting rectangle (vertically) and bend the edges to it. Now you need to turn the upper triangles towards you to get a figure that resembles a Santa's cloak. The upper part is folded under the craft. It turns out a Santa Claus costume.

Origami Santa: head and hat

Next, you need to separately make the head of Santa Claus. The upper left corner of the square and small stripes from the bottom and left are bent over. The figure needs to be turned over to the other side (the white side will be on top), bend the side triangles to the center. Now the top of the cap is bent back (away from you). Repeat the last action with a small corner at the tip of Santa's hat. Now you need to connect the figures, and on the face of Santa Claus draw eyes, nose, beard.

A cute little penguin is a great Christmas craft. Origami is folded from a square of blue colored paper. You need to bend the top and bottom corners towards the center to outline the center line. Then narrow corners are folded to the center, the right angle of each element is bent twice to make a foot. The figurine is folded in half along the midline. Now the resulting triangle needs to be turned over, the upper corner is bent towards itself, and the right one is wrapped under the “foot” of the penguin. Now it remains only to make a foot at the bottom and form a muzzle. The last step is to draw the eyes on the face of the penguin.

Christmas wreath

A simple origami Christmas wreath can be made from a few strips of paper. It is better to take a different one to make the wreath bright. You need eight strips, each should be 4 cm wide and 8 cm long. Each of them is first folded in half lengthwise, the corners need to be bent from top to bottom. Then the figure is bent across. From such blanks, you can assemble a wreath by alternately inserting one into the other.

If you take strips of kraft paper or with New Year ornaments, you will get a very stylish decoration for your home or Christmas tree. If you proportionally increase the strips of paper (for example, cut them 8 cm wide and 16 cm long or another size), then the wreath will turn out larger. Such crafts can decorate the front door to the room.

Many people think that the use of paper origami is not serious for the New Year and that it is child's play in craft classes, but this is actually not the case. By cutting out various paper figures from plain paper or simply using origami as a decoration, you can do a lot. Here's how you can use kirigami and origami for the New Year with your own hands in order to beautifully decorate your holiday.

Usually complex origami they are made of paper to put unusual Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden under the Christmas tree, as well as various characters such as a snowman and even a deer. However, for those who are still unfamiliar with the art of origami, New Year's toys can be advised to start creating with simple decorations used in interior design. Here's what you can do yourself for beginners for the New Year.

How to make a snowflake star

The paper must be cut so that squares of the same size are obtained. Then cut as shown in the diagram in order to get incompletely cut squares. After that, you need to connect the opposite ends with a stapler so that you get the voluminous part of the snowflake. Then, using a stapler, you need to connect the parts and the snowflake is ready. She can decorate the New Year's room, as well as various ones, just hang them on the Christmas trees. big snowflakes will look interesting under the ceiling in a wide room, and small ones can be used as a complement to the New Year's decor.

Also in origami, you can make ordinary voluminous snowflakes of a classical form. They look especially impressive if they are made of silver paper or gold. However, white origami snowflakes can also become a wonderful Christmas tree decoration or just an element of New Year's paper garlands. There are diagrams on how to do them on the Internet. They can be completely different, but in any case, even a beginner will get a beautiful and bright snowflake. Such made crafts will harmoniously look in the house when creating New Year's decor.

small Christmas trees

For beginners, you can use origami New Year's toys - beautiful Christmas trees, which can be made from napkins and various other materials. The easiest option for beginners is a small voluminous Christmas tree on a leg.

In order to make it, you need to take:

- green thick paper, the same color on all sides;
- a toothpick to hold the paper.

Now you can learn how to make a Christmas tree

At the very beginning, the paper must be folded in the same way as ordinary snowflakes. Then cut out a Christmas tree according to the template and put it on a leg from a toothpick. Such green beauties can be used to make napkins, as well as simply as an additional decoration for the New Year's table.

You can make original beautiful origami with their own hands, for example, Christmas trees from napkins. However, if you are using modular origami and complex patterns, then the napkins should be thick enough. For origami you need to take various options thick paper, otherwise it may be damaged during the manufacture of the Christmas tree.

New Year's crafts may be different. For example, you can create a beautiful voluminous Christmas tree from green thick paper. It is first folded like snowflakes to make a triangle, then it is cut on all sides so that there is the same distance between the cuts, and then the corners are bent in different directions. As a result, you should get a small voluminous Christmas tree. However, a simpler option can be made from soft napkins. To do this, 3 napkins need to be folded into triangles different sizes but the same shape. String the top ones on the lowest one, and after that put or put such Christmas trees on the table. They look spectacular and just on a regular plate, next to the cutlery.

Having mastered the simple ones, you can proceed to more complex decorations and make other New Year's crafts. They will look no less beautiful in your New Year's interior, and maybe they will become the basis of a wonderful holiday composition for children.

For the New Year 2020, the main decoration of the house, of course, is the Christmas tree. Therefore, all the attention of your coming guests will be riveted to her. Considering this important point, it is worth working on her holiday outfit. Beautiful colorful toys can, of course, be purchased at the nearest store, which, on the eve of the New Year holidays, will simply be overflowing with similar products. But it's still better to create an image of a Christmas tree using original toys made with your own hands from any materials you like, especially paper. It is so malleable that people have learned to make wonderful crafts in the origami technique, even for New Year's Eve. Let's create something interesting and simple, for example, a star on a Christmas tree, which is perfect for beginners.

For work you will need:

  • colored thick paper or A4 cardboard - 8 sheets;
  • simple pencil;
  • scissors;
  • decorative thread.

Progress:

  1. We take a dense colored paper or cardboard and fold it in half. We have a rectangle.
  2. We bend the corner of its small left side, pulling it to the center of the folded paper, then you need to straighten it. Now we pull the larger side of our rectangle to its second parallel side. We spread the sheet of paper again and in this way we got the intersection of the lines, which will be our center of the star. Mark it with a simple pencil.
  3. Next, we take the corner of its right side and pull it to our marked center. Carefully iron.
  4. The right corner, which we connected to the center, is attached to its opposite side and fixed with a finger, pressing the resulting line. We have a kind of quadrilateral.
  5. We connect the right side of the paper, on which we marked the center, with the resulting quadrangle, tightly pressing the straight butt lines to each other. We also have a triangle in this way.
  6. We fold two geometric figures in half along the butt line, arching them as if inside out and carefully stroking all sides with your finger.
  7. Then we take scissors and cut off the extra edge of the figure so that we get a small triangle.
  8. After that, we open our paper product, completely straightening it. As a result, we have formed a five-pointed box, on which we draw all the fold lines with a simple pencil. Now it will be easier for us to orient ourselves and assemble this New Year's crafts with your own hands.
  9. At the end of the origami work, do not forget to attach a shiny thread to our five-pointed star, as this is a Christmas tree decor.

So, having tried hard, you can create for the New Year 2020 lovely decoration for your tree. And so that you quickly understand this delicate matter, we provide our training video.

Snowflake from origami modules

Very beautiful handicraft for the New Year 2020, there will certainly be a snowflake created from origami modules. Naturally, to make such a miracle with your own hands, it will take a significant amount of time, and, especially, effort. But this should not scare you, because the end result is a fragile and elegant product made from plain paper. Let's see how all this is done at home.

For work you will need:

  • white paper, A4 format - 5 sheets;
  • paper blue color, A4 format - 4 sheets;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

Progress:

To create this craft, you need to create 150 white and 120 blue modules.

  1. Let's start making origami modules with our own hands. To do this, we take all sheets of A4 format and divide them into 32 rectangular parts, after which we cut them out.
  2. Next, take one resulting rectangle and fold it in half horizontally, and then vertically, outlining the center line.
  3. We bend the upper right and left corners to the center, after which we turn the workpiece over and bend the lower right and left corners.
  4. We raise the lower part, fold it in half and get the first module. In the same way, we manufacture subsequent modules.
  5. Having completed the work on creating modules, we immediately proceed to their assembly. In order to securely fix all the details of our product, we use glue. We combine 2 rows of 6 white elements into a ring, inserting into each other.
  6. Be careful, as the number of modules is doubled on the third row. This is achieved by dressing two on one, resulting in 12 modules.
  7. To make our decoration look more elegant for the New Year 2020, we decorate it with blue modules, starting to introduce them from the fourth row. It is identical to the previous one, so 12 modules are also released at this stage.
  8. In the next row, we must double the number of elements in the row twice. This means that in the fifth row you will get 24 modules. We do the next sixth row in the same way as the fifth.
  9. Here is some of the work we have done. Now we proceed to the seventh row, in which we collect 24 modules, alternating the combination in a circle: 3 blue, 1 white module. There are 6 sharp blue corners.
  10. Further we work only with blue rays. To each of the three blue modules we add two more, and then one detail. Narrowing occurs.
  11. Now we carry out white arches, which consist of 17 modules. White modules remained in the seventh row - this is the basis of the arches. One module is taken, another pocket is put on it, thus framing the blue beam. It remains to collect 5 more white arches.
  12. And the last stage of assembling a snowflake with your own hands using the modular origami technique is the compilation of small rays. They are made of 5 modules inserted like a column and 3 modules on top that make the tips fluffy. We attach them to our craft. That's it! For everyone, it will definitely be the most beautiful holiday decoration, especially, it will seem interesting for your children.

We add the right side of module A, as shown in the diagram. It turns out another "pocket". It will hold the left side of part B. Continue assembly until we connect all the modules. For reliability, it is better to glue them additionally.

Postcards

The most common origami crafts for the New Year, which are easy to make with your own hands, are postcards. Their production does not require special skills or unique artistic abilities, the main thing is to use high-quality decorative paper and choose the right color scheme. It is better not to combine origami with a hand-drawn background, the only thing that is allowed in this case is congratulatory inscriptions.

Figures in Japanese paper-plastic technique look good in combination with appliqué and scrapbooking decor. For New Year's compositions it is recommended to use kami leaves with a pattern in blue, red, gold and silver tones. Also for crafts you can take wrapping paper with a themed pattern.

  3. After that, for all the blanks, we bend the two front valves to the center. We get modules, each of which is a tier of our Christmas tree.
  4. We glue them one after another on a narrow double-sided tape.
