Decorating the house with a Christmas and New Year wreath is a very beautiful custom that came to us from Western countries. A few years ago, such wreaths looked rather exotic in Russia. But today it is an absolutely typical type of house decoration on the eve of Christmas, which is made from spruce branches and four candles, fixed vertically or placed on a table. According to Catholic custom, the first candle is lit on the first Sunday of the four-week fast - Advent, the next Sunday - the second, and so on.

Christmas wreaths owe their appearance to the Hamburg Lutheran theologian Johann Hinrich Wiehern, who took on the upbringing of children from poor families. In the post, they kept asking when Christmas would come. And in order to make it easy for children to count the time until the holiday, in 1839 Wichern made a wreath based on the old wheel, which was decorated with nineteen small red and four large white candles. Every morning, one small candle was lit in a wreath, and on Sundays a large one was added to them.

The symbolism of Christmas wreaths highlights several basic meanings. At first, the addition of fire and light in the wreaths symbolized the growing expectation of the birth of Jesus Christ - the light of the world. To everything was added the interpretation of the round shape, the symbolism of the wreath, due to spruce greenery, the colors of candles and decorative ribbons acquired additional significance. So Christmas wreaths and four candles began to be associated with the meaning of the globe and the four cardinal points. The circle is considered to be a symbol of eternal life that Sunday gives, the green color is the embodiment of life itself, and the candles are the light that illuminates the world on Christmas days. In Christmas tradition, it is customary to decorate wreaths with three purple candles and one pink candle, which corresponds to the liturgical colors of worship during the Advent period. The pink candle is lit on the third week of Advent, when Sunday is called Gaudete, or Rejoice!

So, in a wreath, the main thing is the base, its base, which will keep the decoration from scattering. The base is created from any suitable item. The classic base is natural raw materials in the form of straw, twigs, vines and even the rim of a wooden wheel. At worst, you can use wire. But in practice, any improvised material is taken as the basis of the wreath. So an excellent base will turn out from wires twisted and fixed in the form of a circle (for example, a simple extension cord). A piece of hose, a thick cardboard that can be glued together from several layers of a thinner one, newspapers compressed into bundles and fixed with a thin wire, a fabric in the form of a roller filled with cotton wool or padding polyester, and similar materials will also do.

They won't be redundant either. practical advice, for example, how to make a wreath from pine or spruce branches. Usually, a frame is first made of wire or other rigid material. Then coniferous branches of the desired length are cut and weaving of the wreath begins. The branches are laid in a clockwise direction, and the bare part of the previous branch is covered by the lush part of the next. The second layer is woven in the opposite direction, which will help to add volume to the product. Between themselves, the branches are fastened with wire, and it is better to take green, which will be invisible against the background of needles. Thin garden or craft wire will also work. The number of layers is taken such that Christmas wreath, handmade done, will be pleasing to the eye. Then the wreath is braided with a satin ribbon and decorated with materials of your choice. Usually such a wreath is hung on the front door or on the wall, and also placed on coffee table or a shelf. But the future location of the wreath needs to be thought out in advance, because it can turn out to be quite heavy, which will not hold on to the mount of adhesive tape or pushpin, and you don’t always want to spoil the wall with a thick nail. Therefore, even before starting work with a wreath, you need to decide on its placement. If it is possible to fix it vertically on a strong mount, then you can make a heavy version of the wreath, and if the mount is rather flimsy, then it is better to choose a lighter form, which makes the decoration no worse. And if you still want to make a weighty thing, but the mount did not work out, then you can place the wreath on a horizontal surface - a table, shelf, stand. But here it will be possible to let your imagination run wild and load the wreath with any, even the heaviest toys. It will look so beautiful rather heavy, but very symbolic Christmas wreath of cones, decorated with gold spray, artificial snow, nuts and apples. It would be nice to pick up postcards in the old style. History of Christmas wreaths

The tradition of decorating a house for Christmas and New Year with coniferous wreaths came to us from Europe. A master Christian makes a wreath of cones for the New Year from spruce branches, complemented by 4 candles arranged crosswise. As you know, Christmas is preceded by Advent - a 24-day fast, and on every Sunday of this fast it was customary to light one candle on a wreath.

Several centuries ago, a Lutheran theologian, Johann Wiechern, lived in Europe. To help families in need, he took their children to his upbringing. When the Christmas fast came, the impatient children constantly asked the mentor, when will the long-awaited Christmas come? Then the idea came to him to make a plant wreath by inserting 24 candles there. He used a wheel as a frame, and inserted 20 small red and large white candles into the decoration. Every day he lit one red candle, and on Sunday a white one. Then, as usual, the wreath was modernized (4 candles remained) and acquired a symbolic meaning from believers - coniferous branches began to denote the Earth, teeming with life, and 4 candles to personify the universe.

What cones to choose for a New Year's wreath?

Looking at the photo of New Year's wreaths of cones, you can understand that there may be a variety of cones: spruce and pine, cedar and larch - they are all so beautiful, as if created by nature for artistic use. To this environmentally friendly natural material, you only need to attach a little creative imagination to create unique decorations for winter holiday. Moreover, this chic ornamental material does not need to be bought, but to combine the useful with the pleasant - collecting cones in a park or forest with a wonderful walk.

If there are already cones in the forest, then there are a lot of them, so when collecting them, you need to choose the most beautiful or with an unusual shape, which can also come in handy. In addition to the cones, you will also need to collect coniferous branches.

Keep in mind that spruce needles will shed faster than longer pine needles, which will last longer.

If you find only closed cones, don't worry. Put them on a warm battery overnight, and by morning they will open like flowers on a summer morning.

What should be done with the cones?

The instructions on how to make a New Year's wreath of cones indicate that the collected material requires simple preparation - all the cones must be washed in water, washing off particles of dirt from them, and then dried thoroughly.

Cones prepared in this way can be used in their natural form - with natural colors, but you can also paint, especially since they are easy to color.

The cone can be tied to a string and completely immersed in paint desired color or paint the bump manually with a brush.

You can use spray paints.

If, before making a New Year's wreath of cones, paint them, you get this beauty:

Bud Lightening

To lighten the bump, you need:

  • For 5 hours, lower it into a container with household bleach.
  • After that, rinse it in plenty of water and dry it completely (you can put them in the oven at a low temperature to speed up the process).

Covering the buds with glitter

Gold-plated, silver-plated or glitter-covered cones look gorgeous. To do this, you need a brush and PVA glue.

  • Apply glue with a brush to the “petals” of the cone and immediately sprinkle with sparkles.
  • You can shower only the tips of the cones, or you can cover the entire surface.
  • Wait for the glue to dry a little before shaking loose glitter onto paper to reuse.

Aroma of cones

For those who think that the New Year's wreath of pine cones does not spread a bright enough aroma, you can treat them with cinnamon, sandalwood, in general, with any flavor that suits your taste.

Sometimes the bump is difficult to attach or stick to the base. Then, at the bottom of the cone, you can remove a few scales with pliers or another handy tool to get a flat base, with which it will be much easier to fix it.

Photos of cone wreaths for the New Year and other natural materials:

New Year is a holiday highly revered in our country. This new stage life, many believe that with the onset of the next year, changes must necessarily occur. And they depend on how you spend this holiday. There is even a proverb among the people: “as you meet the New Year, so you will spend it.” On this holiday, it is customary to cook many different dishes, clean the house and decorate it in every possible way. Even without following the traditions, people still decorate their homes before this holiday, since decorations are the harbingers of the holiday. They create a special atmosphere, create a New Year's mood and allow you to surprise guests with the mastery of the owner. Today we will dedicate a day to create a New Year's wreath with your own hands.

Decorations are the harbingers of the holiday

For New Year's Eve, a wreath will be a great decor element.

Wreaths are made from anything

In our country, it is customary to make a wreath as New Year's decoration. However, it has a certain history and symbolism. This decoration came to us from Western countries, where it is a symbol of Christmas. And its true name is "Christmas wreath." It is believed that his invention dates back to 1839 and is attributed to the hands of Johann Hinrich Wiehern. The Hamburg theologian, Lutheran raised children from a poor family. With the onset of winter, they often asked their mentor if Christmas was coming soon (and according to Catholic traditions, this is December 25th). So that the pupils could count down the days until Christmas, he made a wreath from an old wheel, branches from the garden and satin ribbons, and put in it 24 small red candles and 4 large white ones. Every day the children lit one candle at a time, and on Sunday, along with a small one, they also lit a large white candle. So on December 24, on Christmas Eve, the last candle was burned, which spoke of the onset of Christmas.

This version is the most famous. However, there is information about the ancient German settlements, where such wreaths were made before Christmas. The ancient Slavs made similar wreaths from ears of corn and hung them on the door at the entrance. They considered him a talisman and revered him very much. But there is no exact data on how these wreaths looked and what symbols they carried. In the old days, the Ukrainian Slavs, for example, used didukh as a symbol of Christmas. This is a sheaf of straw, which was installed in the corner of the house under the icon. It was considered a talisman, a symbol of wealth, prosperity and the preservation of the ancestral family.

IN modern traditions The Christmas wreath has lost its symbolism and is used as a decoration. Often, spruce branches, holly, mistletoe and poinsettia are used for its manufacture. These plants are famous for their ability to stay green all winter. In addition, there is a belief that says if two lovers kiss under a wreath of mistletoe on Christmas night, they living together will be full of happiness. So, this decoration is hung over the front door or placed on the festive table. In the second case, candles are often used to light them on New Year's or Christmas night.

In general, this tradition is typical for Western countries. However, as a decoration we meet it in our country. Only here it does not carry any special symbolism, and wreaths are made not for Christmas, but as a New Year's decoration. They look very attractive. Let's create this miracle.

We use all available means. So you can see wreaths of socks, ties, tinsel, and of course traditional spruce branches on the doors of neighbors.

For each country, the wreath has its own modification.

First, decide on the size of the future wreath. It depends on its location. If you plan to decorate the table, remember that it should be neat and not interfere with the food, but at the same time noticeable at the holiday.

So, first draw a circle on a piece of paper that matches the size of your future wreath. Now cut off the amount of wire along the circumference. We calculate its size according to the presented formula:

Where C corresponds to the circumference, n is a mathematical constant equal to 3.14, r is the radius of the circle. You can measure the radius with a ruler and calculate the required wire length using the suggested formula. You can also use another method, and by applying the wire to the sketch of the circle, determine the required length. It is even easier to form a circle "on the go" without precise calculations.

In any case, we have decided on the length. Now twist its ends with the help of pliers, forming a circle. Depending on what the next layers consist of, wind one or two more layers of wire, fastening them all together. Ready.

A cardboard ring is made without a blank. A circle of the required diameter is drawn on a sheet of cardboard. Further, a certain distance is laid off from the outer line at four points of the circle (so that the inner one turns out to be even). An inner circle is drawn on the marked point. Now we delete it without breaking the external one. So we're left with just the rim. These are the rings for the New Year's wreath, on which decorative elements are attached.

Now the base is ready, and with its use we can start making a Christmas decoration using various materials.

First of all, you need to decide on the size of the wreath

It is much easier to make a wreath on the go, and not calculate every centimeter

Christmas tree branches

It is worth paying tribute to tradition. The symbol of the New Year, and in Western countries, where this tradition came from, and Christmas, is a spruce ( new year trees). A wreath of spruce branches is perfect as a decoration on the door, on the window, and also on the table.

To create it, use both wire and cardboard base. It is better to wrap the latter with a thick layer of paper to add volume. Now we prepare the decorative part. Take spruce or pine branches(with short needles), cut them into small pieces, prepare glue, yarn. Additionally, you can use cones, satin bows, artificial berries, bells, etc. But do not overdo it. It is advisable to mix no more than three colors (in our case it is green, red and gold).

Now let's start composing. It is carried out in two ways.

As for fasteners, you can:

  1. wind the branches to the base with threads;
  2. glue them using polymer glue.

The most popular is a wreath of spruce branches.

Toys, cones, ribbons are suitable for decorating a wreath.

To create such a wreath, you can use cardboard and wire.

Concerning appearance, we make a wreath in the following variations.

  1. "Tousled", arranging the branches in a chaotic manner. To do this, they must be short. Put them on the glue so that they stick up. Fill in the gaps and add braid, bumps, etc.
  2. "Smooth" compared to the first option. To do this, we tie the ring in such a way that the branches are on both sides, and they are fastened in the inside of the ring. So they will be directed in one direction (from the inside to the outside), and we will get a relatively smooth and voluminous wreath. For this option, you will need flexible and long branches.

In the same way, a wreath is made from holly, fir or mistletoe. You can find it in flower shops, or grow it in the garden. This amazing plant also stays green throughout the year.

A wreath can be made smooth by arranging the branches in one direction.

By spreading the branches in a chaotic manner, you can get a voluminous wreath

natural materials

Other natural materials that are quite suitable for making a New Year's wreath on the table with your own hands include cones, acorns, nuts, tangerines (dried), berries.

For these materials, it is better to use a cardboard base, tying it with a large layer of paper or fabric (for volume). Fasten securely with glue.

You can make a wreath made entirely of cones. So, paint them the same color, different ones, or leave them natural brown. Also, the cones will make an excellent company for tangerines and cinnamon sticks. Gifts from squirrels look good together - nuts and acorns.

It is better to dilute such compositions in green using natural green leaves or some sprigs of pine needles. It will also be good to withstand the whole composition in brown by adding twine or burlap to it.

Fabric and thread

By the way, about burlap. Use it on your own too. This is a great material for creating a warm, rustic atmosphere.

Create a wreath using burlap squares. Cut out the same squares, modify them as you wish. We suggest folding them, wrapping the edges, and overlapping them on top of each other. Thus, complete the entire circle. Add some greenery and a bright bow to the composition.

Another option. Cut off a long piece of not very stiff burlap, fold it in half and sew. Then, using a needle and thread, sew in the center with a stitch, gathering the fabric a little (to make an “accordion”). Here is an airy and light wreath. Use it without a base, or fix the resulting element on a cardboard ring, diluting it with decorative elements (bells, stars, berries, etc.).

Introducing original idea using threads. A wreath of multi-colored balls. This option looks great both on the door and on the table, symbolizing home comfort and warmth. It is made in the following way.

Roll up balls of wool of various sizes. The threads should be woven as freely as possible so that the balls are light. Then sew or glue the resulting balls to the cardboard base in a chaotic manner tightly enough. Knit a small fabric from the same threads. Sew it to a few balls and stick the knitting needles. This idea looks creative and adds a special comfort.

You can use fabric and thread to decorate the wreath.

This wreath looks very beautiful and gives the room a special atmosphere.

Tinsel and Christmas decorations

New Year's tinsel is a material that is in every home, and is a symbol of the New Year. It will also make a lovely Christmas wreath.

Here we will use a wire base. It is enough to wrap it in a large amount of rain to get a voluminous silhouette, and the wreath is ready. We dilute it with cones, acorns, sweets, Christmas balls. Combining multiple colors New Year's tinsel, get a wreath with a pattern that does not require additional elements.

The mentioned Christmas balls, like other Christmas toys, can be used independently. The principle is the same. Secure them with a thread on a wire frame, and the wreath is ready.

There are many more ideas: use pasta, socks, ties, legumes, clothespins, sweets... In general, whatever comes to your mind. The main thing is that in the process of work there is a festive mood.

Christmas and New Year wreaths, along with a decorated Christmas tree, are symbols of the upcoming holidays. The custom to create such compositions came to us from Europe, today in our country such decoration does not surprise at all, but on the contrary, it has a New Year's mood. How to make a New Year's wreath with your own hands - we'll tell you in detailed master class with beautiful photos of the process, we will throw in a few ideas and give practical recommendations.

A bit of history

Christmas wreaths originate in Hamburg in the middle ages of the last millennium. The Lutheran theologian Johann Hinrich Wiecher, who adopted several children from very poor families, came up with a kind of "waiting calendar" for Christmas. It was an old wheel, which the priest decorated with coniferous branches, and put candles to it: 19 small red ones and 4 white ones. Their number showed which day before the holiday now goes and how much is left. Every day, Johann and his children lit one red candle each, and on Sundays, one white one. So the guys were easier to endure the expectation of the holiday.

Today, a wreath of coniferous tree branches in Russia is associated only with the new year, the symbol of Christmas is still characteristic of the Catholic Church.

Symbolism of the wreath:

  • The circle with candles is associated with the globe and the four cardinal points.
  • The circle itself is the infinity of life.
  • The green color of evergreen needles is a symbol of all living things.

Candles in Christmas wreaths fill the home with light, much like how the world lights up during Christmas.

A traditional New Year's wreath made of cones and branches can be bought in a store, but will it really be so symbolic and attractive? Oddly enough, such a souvenir rarely has pre-holiday magic, such are purchased for offices and places far from home. Even in an age of high pace of life, most people find a couple of hours to make a DIY Christmas wreath. It is quite simple, exciting and means such decoration is much more than just a symbol.

Wreaths of cones and needles are traditionally placed on:

  • At the front door;
  • Above fireplaces;
  • On the table as a table decoration.

Accordingly, the design and method of attaching toys of decorations and accessories will differ.

To clearly show that making a Christmas wreath with your own hands is not difficult at all, the designers made a fascinating master class with a photo so that everyone can try to create their own Christmas decoration, while enjoying the process and the result. So, New Year's wreath: MK with step-by-step instructions.

Master class from creative designers

So many decor variations come up with the bright minds of designers, and the base always remains traditional - green branches of coniferous trees. You can decorate a spruce wreath with anything:

  • Christmas balls;
  • Tinsel;
  • cones;
  • Felt toys;
  • Beads;
  • Feathers;
  • Beads and so on, not to list everything.

Our artists came up with a few ideas:

  1. Christmas wreath of cones and oranges;
  2. Wreath with cotton cobs, feathers and New Year's toys;
  3. And many more interesting combinations that you will see below.

What do we need

So, what did we need to create Christmas and New Year wreaths:

  • Spruce, pine, fir branches. They can be collected in the forest belt or in the park. Choose beautiful young twigs with good uniform needles, it should last a month and a half in excellent condition. Of course, you can use artificial needles, but the effect will not be the same, and there will be no smell from this, and this is an almost obligatory wish;
  • Fir cones. You can take cedar, pine, or whatever you like. Try to choose fresh ones - the old ones quickly crumble in a dry and warm room;
  • Multicolored Christmas balls. Take those that you do not plan to hang on the Christmas tree, so you can also save money. Choose small toys to place on the branches themselves, you can take a larger ball for hanging;

  • Colored bird feathers are sold in decor and hand-made stores, we took several varieties;

  • Satin ribbons for bows;
  • Rowan twigs with berries are an unusual solution, but organically fit into the theme of a real winter tree.

Do not be afraid to use food for work - gingerbread, sweets, fruits. The main thing is not to take perishable ones and watch their expiration date.

  • The highlight of the program is orange rings. They will add brightness to the finished jewelry and will exude aroma. The smell of citrus and pine needles in the aggregate in any person is associated with winter holidays.
  • Tools: scissors, pruner, rope, hot glue with a gun.

  • The basis for the New Year's wreath is a circle cut out of thick cardboard. You can use newspapers, a hoop, a cut of a wide pipe - any round product.

Subsequence

Now we will tell you how to make a wreath on the door with your own hands in stages, because one of the components of successful work is the correct organization of the workflow.

Stage 1: preparing the base

This is the most important step, on the implementation of which the quality of the finished wreath and its strength depend. We took thick cardboard, cut out round blanks with a diameter of 30 cm from the outside and 25 cm from the inside. The width of the wheel turned out to be 5 cm. We wrapped the workpiece wide ribbon golden color - such a solution will allow you to conveniently attach branches and decor, and random gaps through the needles will not be evident as something unfinished.

Instead of cardboard, a wreath of newspaper tubes the base also holds its shape well. Creative minds even manage to create an independent composition by twisting sheets of the old press into cones and tubes, fixing them on the base. But this is not our case.

Stage 2: fastening branches

Attaching the branches yourself is simple:

  1. Insert them into the pockets of the tape at the base of the workpiece and tie with a thread;

  1. Intertwine with other branches;
  2. For fastening, stapler brackets or wire are suitable.

Pre-prepare the branches: cut off excess shoots and shorten the main one to the desired length. Work the entire perimeter of the ring.

Let some branches be with their native cones, this will facilitate the decorating process.

Stage 3: decoration

This stage is the most creative and interesting. Here we turn on all our imagination and create.

We used cotton cobs for decoration - the natural theme is always relevant, and such an unusual solution will definitely transform a hand-made wreath.

Imagine in advance the appearance of your product and select items for decoration that can be combined with each other. Let them be unexpected, then there should not be many of them.

Until the branches are covered with decor, reinforce them with a thin thread: it will pull the greenery to the base and visually decorate the product.

If the hand reaches for rowan branches - do not deny yourself. Fortunately, they can be harvested until deep frosts.

Cut the harvested branches with secateurs to the desired length, remove ugly and spoiled berries. Insert the branches into the pockets of the workpiece and tie them up like spruce branches.

Now we attach delicious material - orange slices. It is better to fix them to the composition with the help of ordinary threads - the brackets will tear the delicate structure, and the glue simply will not grab the liquid juice. Fragrant Reminder New Year and the simultaneous recollection of a sunny summer.

Feathers are best fixed with hot glue. Why hot? - It immediately seizes and does not have to wait long for drying. In addition, it is colorless and will not make itself felt.

DIY wreath decoration Christmas balls- an activity as exciting as decorating a Christmas tree. We placed small balls on the branches in the same scale. It is better to fasten them with threads using a crochet hook through the branches.

Well, what about without various trinkets and toys?

A New Year's wreath on the door may contain a reminder of winter and snow. To do this, we use "liquid snow" in the form of an aerosol. With it, we apply frost to the tips of the needles.

Making a New Year's wreath cannot be put into one frame - there are as many decisions as there are hands starting to make this symbolic accessory.

One of the examples of what we have done.

More ideas

It is not at all necessary to make a Christmas and New Year wreath from living branches, you can make a composition from any materials for needlework:

  • Felt wreath;

  • Wreath of beads;

  • Paper wreath;

  • New Year's wreath of tinsel.

The choice of material is limited only by the scope of imagination.

The video reflects the process of work, which is very easy to repeat.

Touching on the “green” topic, that is, the recycling of unnecessary things, I noticed a funny pattern - the most popular product (regardless of what was used as a material - plastic bottles or woolen threads) there was a Christmas and New Year wreath! And, of course, it became interesting to collect all the possible options for such wreaths. But first, a couple of composition tips!

When creating your wreath, be careful using a large number details - only one thing should be the main one, everything else is secondary. For example, when working on a paper wreath with many clippings and photos, focus on the main thing - the photo. So, everything else should be neutral in color and shape. Do not weigh down the side parts of the wreath, place everything massive either on top or below. Before you begin to fold the wreath, put all the components side by side and see if nothing “falls out” of the total mass with its color or shape? Believe me, it's easier to throw out some detail now than later - a finished wreath!

1. Clothespins

Use an aluminum hanger for the frame and beads for decoration (choose beads so that they easily "sit" on the wire). Unroll the hanger and start collecting, stringing clothespins and beads alternately. Clothespins pre-paint with gouache or acrylic. You can also decorate them with decoupage, glue buttons, beads, fir branches to them. Attach to the finished wreath big bow or soft toy(Snowman, Santa Claus, funny deer ...).

2.Egg tray

Take a closer look at the empty tray and you will notice how its cells are similar in shape to half-blown buds. In the photo - an Easter wreath and therefore it is decorated eggshell, but our task is to make the same flowers. Carefully cut out the cells and give them the shape of a bud. The cellulose, which is part of the tray, can be perfectly painted with any paint, so feel free to experiment with color, because fabulous Christmas flowers can even be green or purple! Fasten the finished buds to the frame (branches, wire, polystyrene) and decorate it additionally with beaded branches, corrugated paper, Christmas balls, etc.

3.Socks

It's funny, but such material as socks can be a chic basis for a Christmas wreath! They can be randomly strung on a cardboard base, or they can be folded in the form of “roses” and decorate a wreath with them.

4. Buttons

Cardboard, glue and a handful of buttons. And it turns out from this all a very elegant and stylish element of decor!

5. Wine corks

This version of the wreath is made according to the same principle as the wreath of clothespins. For greater strength, use two circles of wire - a larger one and a smaller one. String corks on both circles in parallel, alternating them with beads. Decorate the finished work with ribbon, bells, branches or toys.

6.Newspapers

Got a lot of waste paper? Make a solid "newspaper" decor in the house - toys, angels, garlands, gift wrapping, candle decor ... You can use newspapers or magazines everywhere. And let the real "highlight" be a wreath of paper tubes.

7. Paper or napkins

Very airy and “light” wreaths are obtained from such material. Don't be afraid to try and experiment - use magazine clippings, colorful stamps, postcards, your family photos, fancy envelopes, paper snowflakes, etc. Do not glue everything on the base at once, apply, assemble, remove something, change something, and only then proceed to the final “collection”.

8. Cardboard

Very interesting idea- a wreath with cells for gifts! It is not necessary to pick up small presents for this, because here you can put something besides the main gift - an envelope with a postcard, a candy, a lottery ticket, a ticket to the theater, a note with wishes ... The role of "cells" can be played by cardboard frames from under toilet paper, toothpaste caps, etc.

9. Spruce twigs and twigs

The first wreaths were made from branches. And only from the branches. Such wreaths have a big plus - the breathtaking smell of pine needles, but also a small minus - it is short-lived. For lovers of traditional options - little master Class…

10. Pasta

Do you want to surprise everyone, including yourself? Make a Christmas pasta wreath! The technique for making it is quite simple: glue the pasta to the cardboard frame with superglue and cover the finished work with spray paint. A wreath of figured pasta looks very original in itself, but you can complement it with fir branches, netting, bells, etc.

11. Fruits and berries

What exactly to use as a material is up to you. But to understand how to fix it all together is our common task. Dried citrus slices are easily glued to cardboard or polystyrene, apples can be strung on a wire frame (you only need to use a strong enough wire so that it does not bend under the pressure of apples), rowan and physalis branches can be stuck into plasticine or "foam". In another case, you need to use plastic fruits, as the real ones are too heavy.

12. Christmas balls

The technique is simple: string the balls on a wire bent in a circle and attach them to each other with glue (so that the wreath acquires a beautiful shape). Such works look especially beautiful if they are made in the same color or in the same color scheme.

13. Sweets

There is one minus of "sweet" wreaths - they tend to "melt", especially if there are sweet-toothed kids in the house. Candies can be attached to a pre-prepared frame with threads, glue, wire. And you can use toothpicks, as is the case with marmalade. Only for this you need to get a soft frame - foam or "foam".

14. Balloons

Tie a lot of balloons around the wire frame and that's it! You don't even need to inflate them.

15. Ties

Another extraordinary idea. But now the question - what to do with old and disliked ties - has been resolved.
